Abstract

An inflatable system with variable special effects, e.g. for fitting to footwear or clothing, has an outer transparent housing fitted to the footwear/clothing and an inner holder with movable patterns (14) backed by an inflatable cushion. The cushion is fitted with a valve (11) which extends out of the system. The user inflates the cushion to fix the movable patterns in position. The appearance can be changed simply by releasing the cushion pressure, moving the patterns and inflating the cushion again.
