Ein in dem belüfteten Kraftfahrzeug angeordneter Lüfter ist dabei sowohl für einen Saugbetrieb als auch für einen Blasbetrieb vorgesehen, wobei eine Luftansaugung normalerweise auf einem Luftausstoß gegenüberliegenden Seite des Kraftfahrzeugsitzes erfolgt. Soll dabei beispielsweise über eine Sitzfläche Luft ausgestoßen werden, so wird diese üblicherweise über eine Sitzunterseite angesaugt.In modern motor vehicles, especially in the luxury class, increasingly ventilated seats are offered in order to be able to significantly increase the ride comfort for the vehicle occupants. Die vorliegende Erfindung beruht auf dem allgemeinen Gedanken, bei einem Kraftfahrzeugsitz mit zumindest einer einem Fahrzeuginsassen zugewandten Fläche, die beispielsweise als Sitz oder Lehnenfläche ausgebildet ist, zumindest einen der jeweiligen Fläche zugeordneten Lüfter vorzusehen, der insbesondere zwischen einem Blasbetrieb und einem Saugbetrieb umschaltbar ist und der erfindungsgemäß eine Luftansaugung sowie einen Luftausstoß ausschließlich über die dem Fahrzeuginsassen zugewandte Fläche bewirkt. Besitzt demzufolge der Fahrzeuginsasse auf dem Kraftfahrzeugsitz, so erfolgt eine Luftansaugung und ein Luftausstoß ausschließlich über diejenigen Bereiche der dem Fahrzeuginsassen zugewandten Fläche, die nicht vom Fahrzeuginsassen bedeckt sind. Durch ein ausgeklügeltes System an Luftführungskanälen innerhalb des Kraftfahrzeuges wird zudem bei einem vollständigen abdecken der dem Fahrzeuginsassen zugewandten Fläche ein Umluftbetrieb innerhalb des Kraftfahrzeugsitzes ermöglicht. Der erfindungsgemäße Kraftfahrzeugsitz schafft dadurch ein völlig neues Lüftungskonzept, das insbesondere auf eine mehrseitige Luftansaugung bzw. auf einen mehrseitigen Luftausstoß verzichten kann. Hierdurch lassen sich insbesondere geschlossenen Schalen als Tragstruktur für den Kraftfahrzeugsitz verwenden, die vergleichsweise steif sind und die beim bisherigen Belüftungskonzept nicht eingesetzt werden konnten.
