Description
The invention relates to an impregnating agent for fiber casting, preferably for speaker membranes, based on polyacrylic acid ester.
Although fiber casts have a wide variety of shapes and are used in a wide variety of fields, they must all have a specific wall or material thickness and therefore a certain mass in order to be able to fulfill certain properties (eg dimensional stability, rigidity, tensile strength, etc.) in accordance with the respective requirements , For economic reasons and to achieve an optimum mass-power ratio, it is therefore desirable to reduce the wall thicknesses and thus the mass in order to achieve the highest possible efficiency with the same or improved properties.
The invention relates within the o. G. Field of application preferably on speaker membranes, which in addition to the already mentioned improvements additionally improved acoustic properties, such. extended transmission range, improved sensitivity and sound reproduction with increased attenuation should have.
Fiberglass products are usually prepared from fiber suspensions based predominantly on cellulose and optionally with the addition of other artificial fibers by vacuum suction on a forming wire with subsequent drying. In this case, the mechanical, acoustic and other properties can be influenced to a certain extent already by selection of the pulps used and by the grinding.
Durch die in der Papierindustrie bekannte Imprägnierung mit Dispersionen verschiedener Polyvinyl-Harze sind wohl Verbesserungen hinsichtlich Steifigkeit, Festigkeit und Dimensionsstabilität erreichbar, doch besitzt dieses Imprägniermittel den Nachteil, daß sich die Formkörper nach der Imprägnierung verziehen (DD-98326).Due to the known in the paper industry impregnation with dispersions of various polyvinyl resins improvements in stiffness, strength and dimensional stability are achievable, but this impregnant has the disadvantage that the molding warped after impregnation (DD-98326).
It has also been proposed to use polyvinyl resins in chlorinated solvents for the impregnation of Formkörpem (DE-1093414). However, the required amount of plasticizer counteracts a stiffening and thus a decisive improvement in the efficiency. In addition, the applied order quantities of about 30%, based on the unimpregnated material, have a negative impact on the mass-performance ratio and the economic efficiency.
Furthermore, this impregnation, z.T. due to the plasticizer migration, only an unsatisfactory aging resistance.
It has therefore also attempted molding with curable synthetic resins, z. As phenolic resole resins, to impregnate (DD-1064). The stiffness, mechanical strength and aging resistance achieved are considerable, so that the efficiency and mass-power ratio are positively influenced. However, the molded articles impregnated in this way are extremely brittle and have inadequate structure-borne sound damping when used in the acoustic field.
Known is; also an impregnating agent consisting of a combination of polyacrylic acid ester terpolymers and dispersion-based polyacrylic acid ester copolymers (DD-156758). This impregnating agent, in which a soft film-forming adjustment of the components is used, reduces the self-resonance of membranes and increases the endurance.
The object of the invention is to significantly improve the economics of impregnating molded fiber products while maintaining or improving utility properties.
B.This implies that by using chemical aids the required utility value properties, such. B.
Steifigkeit, mechanische Festigkeit, Ε-Modul, Voluminosität, Alterungsbeständigkeit und Körperschalldämpfung erreicht werden.Rigidity, mechanical strength, Ε-modulus, bulkiness, aging resistance and structure-borne sound attenuation can be achieved.

The object of the invention has been found to provide an impregnating agent, which makes it possible with small amounts of a combination of special chemical aids deformed fiber products with lower mass of cellulosic or other fibers than previously produced to the mass-power ratio optimal to design. As fiber products, i.a. also be used for the production of loudspeaker membranes, the invention also wants to guarantee or improve certain acoustic properties, such. B. achieve the reduction of partial resonances, the improvement of the attenuation, the increase of the acoustic efficiency or the extension of the transmission range. The object has been achieved in that an impregnating liquid has been found, which consists of the combination of the following components:
a) ein Lösungspolymerisat von terpolymeren Polyacrylsäureester als 50%ige Lösung,a) a solution polymer of terpolymeric polyacrylic acid ester as a 50% solution,
b) ein Lösungspolymerisat von homopolymeren Polyacrylsäureester als 50%ige Lösung,b) a solution polymer of homopolymeric polyacrylic acid ester as a 50% solution,
c) ein Füllstoff mit großer spezifischer Oberfläche und einer Rütteldichte von mindestens 30g/l,c) a filler with a high specific surface area and a packing density of at least 30 g / l,
d) Lösungsmittel in Form niederer Ester der Essigsäure oder ein Gemisch derselben.d) solvent in the form of lower esters of acetic acid or a mixture thereof.
According to the invention, furthermore, that the solution polymer of terpolymeric polyacrylic acid ester consists of 1-20% of acrylic acid, 40-749% of butyl acrylate and 40-50% of styrene, while the solution polymer of homopolymeric polyacrylic acid ester is polyacrylic acid ethyl ester. The solvent consists of lower esters of acetic acid and is preferably pre-dissolved with n-butyl acetate and then diluted with a mixture of n-butyl acetate and ethyl acetate to the desired solids content.
It is also according to the invention that the solids content of the impregnating solution is 1-25, preferably 3-15% by weight and the impregnating agent absorption is 0.5-25, preferably 2-20%, based on the mass of the unimpregnated shaped body.
The invention will now be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.
Derterpolymere polyacrylate is initially charged and dissolved with 100-150 parts by weight of n-butyl acetate with stirring. For this purpose, the homopolymeric polyacrylic acid ester is added. The active filler is then added in portions with vigorous stirring and then make the dispersion over a longer period. Further dilution of the impregnating liquor is carried out with the o.g. Solvents to a solids content of 1-25, preferably 3-15 wt .-% made and depends on the required amount of application, the nature of the molded article to be impregnated and the desired effects.
The impregnation is expediently carried out by known per se application method such as dipping, coating, spraying followed by drying (infrared, hot air, etc.) for the purpose of evaporation of the solvent.
The impregnation can also be transferred to flat fiber webs.
The impregnated with the inventive solution body have advantages as an improved mechanical strength and elasticity, which make it possible. To produce moldings with lower mass and increased efficiency. They ensure an optimum balance between structure-borne sound absorption and Ε-module, have higher rigidity, high climate stability and lower water and moisture absorption. Aging resistance and thus service life are also improved. If so impregnated molded articles are used as loudspeaker membranes, improved acoustic properties occur in the form of the extension of the transmittable frequency range, the reduction of undesired partial resonances and an increased sensitivity with improved sound reproduction.
