The present application relates to notebook computers.
Background
Notebook computers are widely used due to their portability. Notebook computers in use today typically have only one embedded home screen, which is typically not too large in size to allow for portability of the notebook computer, but in some cases a larger screen is used to increase the efficiency of the operation and thus the notebook computer has to be connected to an external display device. Because most of the use scenes of the notebook computer are that the user needs to carry the notebook computer with him or her to use the notebook computer in travel, the external display device can not be conveniently obtained for connection in many times. Even with an external display device available for connection, the notebook computer cannot be flexibly moved as required by the connection of an additional external cable to the external display device. In addition, such connection through the external cable is unstable and the external cable may cause unexpected hindrance.
Thus, there is a need for an improved notebook computer.
Disclosure of Invention
The present application provides a notebook computer, which can overcome at least one of the above-mentioned drawbacks in the prior art.
According to the present application, there is provided a notebook computer including:
a body; and
a cover comprising a cover housing and a main screen mounted on the cover housing, the cover housing rotatably mounted to the body at a first edge by a main hinge;
the notebook computer is characterized in that the notebook computer further comprises a flat plate-shaped auxiliary display device rotatably mounted to at least one of a right side edge and a left side edge of the cover housing by an auxiliary hinge, the auxiliary display device being rotatable about the auxiliary hinge between a position folded onto the cover housing and a position in which an auxiliary display screen of the auxiliary display device is coplanar with the main screen, the auxiliary display screen being exposed to the outside when the auxiliary display device is rotated to a position folded onto the cover housing, the auxiliary display device including a first auxiliary display device rotatably mounted to one of the right side edge and the left side edge of the cover housing by a first auxiliary hinge, and a second auxiliary display device rotatably mounted to the other of the right side edge and the left side edge of the cover housing by a second auxiliary hinge.
Preferably, the first auxiliary hinge is a biaxial hinge.
Preferably, the first auxiliary display device has the same size as the set cover case, and the second auxiliary display device has a smaller size than the set cover case.
Preferably, the auxiliary display screen is a screen with a touch function.
Preferably, the auxiliary display device is electrically connected with the cover and/or the body by a cable passing through the auxiliary hinge.

Detailed Description
Preferred embodiments of the present application are described in detail below with reference to examples. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that these embodiments are exemplary and are not meant to be limiting in any way.
Fig. 1 schematically shows a notebook computer according to a first preferred embodiment of the present application in a perspective view, and fig. 2 is a top view of the notebook computer of the first preferred embodiment. As shown in fig. 1 and 2, a notebook computer 1 according to the present application includes a body 3 and a cover 7 rotatably mounted to the body 3 at a rear side edge by a main hinge 5. The body 3 includes a body housing 9, a main board, a heat sink, a hard disk, a memory, a battery, an interface, and the like provided in the body housing 9, and a keyboard 11 provided on the body housing 9. The cover 7 includes a cover housing 7a and a main screen 7b mounted on a side of the cover housing 7a facing the main body 3. The cover 7 is rotatably mounted to the body 3 at a first (e.g., rear) edge of the cover housing 7a by a main hinge 5. Since the body 3, the cover 7, and the connection of the body 3 and the cover 7 by the main hinge 5 are known, a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
The notebook computer 1 according to the present application further includes a flat plate-shaped first auxiliary display device 13, and the first auxiliary display device 13 is rotatably mounted to a second (e.g., right) edge of the cover housing 7a by a first auxiliary hinge 15. The first auxiliary display device 13 includes a first auxiliary display device housing 13a and a first auxiliary display screen 13b provided in the first auxiliary display device housing 13 a. Although the first auxiliary display device housing 13a may have a larger or smaller size than the set cover housing 7a, the first auxiliary display device housing 13a preferably has a substantially same size as the set cover housing 7a, and the first auxiliary display device housing 13a is rotatably mounted to the right side edge of the set cover housing 7a by a first auxiliary hinge 15 such that the first auxiliary display device 13 can be rotated relative to the set cover housing 7a in the direction indicated by the arrow a from the first position P1 to the second position P2 or in the direction opposite to the direction indicated by the arrow a from the second position P2 to the first position P1. As shown in fig. 2, in the first position P1, the first auxiliary display device 13 is in a folded position substantially parallel to the cover housing 7a on the outside of the cover housing 7a (i.e., the side facing away from the main body) and the first auxiliary display screen 13b is in a position exposed toward the outside; in the second position P2, the first auxiliary display device 13 is in an extended position substantially coplanar with the cover 7, i.e. the first auxiliary display screen 13b is coplanar with the main screen 7b. Of course, the first auxiliary display device 13 may also be rotated to any other position between the first position P1 and the second position P2 with respect to the cover housing 7a, as shown by the first auxiliary display device indicated by the other broken lines in fig. 1 and 2.
The notebook computer 1 according to the present application can be used as a tablet computer when the first auxiliary display device 13 is in the first position P1 folded outside the cover housing 7a and the cover housing 7a is closed on the main body 3. The notebook computer 1 according to the present application can be used like a conventional notebook computer by opening only the main screen while the first auxiliary display device 13 is in the first position P1 folded outside the cover housing 7a and the cover housing 7a is opened with respect to the main body 3. The notebook computer 1 according to the present application can be used like a conventional notebook computer when the cover housing 7a is opened with respect to the main body 3 and the first auxiliary display screen 13b is in the second position P2 coplanar with the main screen 7b, but has a significantly increased screen size with respect to the main screen 7b alone. Of course, the main screen 7b and the first auxiliary display screen 13b may also display different contents as two different screens, and the first auxiliary display device 13 may also be located between the first position P1 and the second position P2, so that a person in other orientations can view the first auxiliary display screen.
Fig. 3 schematically shows a notebook computer according to a second preferred embodiment of the present application in a perspective view, and fig. 4 is a top view of the notebook computer of the second preferred embodiment. As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the notebook computer according to the second preferred embodiment of the present application is substantially the same as the notebook computer according to the first preferred embodiment of the present application, except that the first auxiliary display device housing 13a is rotatably mounted to a third (e.g., left) edge of the cover housing 7a by the first auxiliary hinge 15, and thus a detailed description of the notebook computer according to the second preferred embodiment of the present application is omitted. When the cover housing 7a is opened with respect to the main body 3 and the first auxiliary display screen 13b is in the second position P2 coplanar with the main screen 7b, the first auxiliary display device 13 of the notebook computer 1 according to the first embodiment of the present application is on the right side of the cover 7, and the first auxiliary display device 13 of the notebook computer 1 according to the second embodiment of the present application is on the left side of the cover 7.
Fig. 5 schematically shows a notebook computer according to a third preferred embodiment of the present application in a perspective view, and fig. 6 is a right side view of the notebook computer of the third preferred embodiment. As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the notebook computer according to the third preferred embodiment of the present application is substantially the same as the notebook computer according to the first preferred embodiment of the present application, except that the first auxiliary display device housing 13a is rotatably mounted to, for example, a fourth (front side) edge of the cover housing 7a (i.e., an edge opposite to a rear side edge of the cover housing 7a mounted to the main body 3) by the first auxiliary hinge 15, and thus a detailed description of the notebook computer according to the third preferred embodiment of the present application is omitted. When the cover housing 7a is opened with respect to the main body 3 and the first auxiliary display screen 13b is in the second position P2 coplanar with the main screen 7b, the first auxiliary display device 13 of the notebook computer 1 according to the first embodiment of the present application is on the right side of the cover 7, and the first auxiliary display device 13 of the notebook computer 1 according to the third embodiment of the present application is on the upper side of the cover 7.
Fig. 7 schematically shows a notebook computer according to a fourth preferred embodiment of the present application in a perspective view, and fig. 8 is a top view of the notebook computer of the fourth preferred embodiment. As shown in fig. 7 and 8, the notebook computer according to the fourth preferred embodiment of the present application is substantially the same as the notebook computer according to the first preferred embodiment of the present application, except that a second auxiliary display device 19 rotatably mounted to a third edge of the set cover housing 7a by a second auxiliary hinge 17 is further included, and the second auxiliary display device 19 is rotatable about the second auxiliary hinge 17 in a direction indicated by an arrow B or in the opposite direction between a position folded to the outside of the set cover housing 7a and a position coplanar with the second auxiliary display screen and the main screen 7B, and thus a detailed description of the notebook computer according to the fourth preferred embodiment of the present application is omitted.
In the case of including the first auxiliary display device 13 and the second auxiliary display device 19, when both the first auxiliary display device 13 and the second auxiliary display device 19 are in the position folded outside the cover housing 7a, one of the first auxiliary display device 13 and the second auxiliary display device 19 (the inside auxiliary display device) is located between the cover housing 7a and the other of the first auxiliary display device 13 and the second auxiliary display device 19 (the outside auxiliary display device). In order to facilitate folding of the outside auxiliary display device, an auxiliary hinge for mounting the outside auxiliary display device may employ a biaxial hinge. Further, the size (length and/or width) of the inside auxiliary display device may be set to be slightly smaller than the size of the cover housing 7a. In the preferred embodiment shown in fig. 8, the second auxiliary display device 19 is folded between the cover housing 7a and the first auxiliary display device 13, and the first auxiliary hinge 15 is a biaxial hinge. Further, the second auxiliary display device 19 may have a slightly smaller size (length and/or width) than the cover housing 7a. In this application, a biaxial hinge refers to a hinge having two pivot axes.
The notebook computer 1 according to the fourth preferred embodiment of the present application can be used as a tablet computer when both the first auxiliary display device 13 and the second auxiliary display device 19 are in a position folded outside the cover housing 7a and the cover housing 7a is fitted on the main body 3. The notebook computer 1 according to the fourth preferred embodiment of the present application can be used like a conventional notebook computer by opening only the main screen while both the first auxiliary display device 13 and the second auxiliary display device 19 are in the position P1 folded outside the cover housing 7a and the cover housing 7a is opened with respect to the main body 3. The notebook computer 1 according to the fourth preferred embodiment of the present application can be used like a conventional notebook computer while the cover housing 7a is opened with respect to the main body 3 and one of the first auxiliary display device 13 and the second auxiliary display device 19 (e.g., the second auxiliary display device 19) is in a position folded outside the cover housing 7a and the other auxiliary display screen (e.g., the first auxiliary display screen 13 b) is in a position coplanar with the main screen 7b, but has a significantly increased screen size with respect to the main screen 7b alone. The notebook computer 1 according to the fourth preferred embodiment of the present application can be used like a conventional notebook computer when the cover housing 7a is opened with respect to the main body 3 and both the first auxiliary display screen and the second auxiliary display screen are in a coplanar position with the main screen 7b, but has a screen size that is increased more significantly with respect to the main screen 7b alone. Of course, the main screen 7b and the first and second auxiliary display screens 13b and 13b may display different contents as three different screens, and the first and second auxiliary display devices 13 and 19 may be also in a position between a position folded outside the cover housing 7a and a position where the first and second auxiliary display screens are coplanar with the main screen 7b so that a person in other orientations views the first and second auxiliary display screens.
Although in the fourth preferred embodiment shown in fig. 7 and 8 the second auxiliary display device 19 is rotatably mounted to the third edge of the lid housing 7a by means of the second auxiliary hinge 17, it will be appreciated that the second auxiliary display device 19 may also be rotatably mounted to the fourth edge of the lid housing 7a by means of the second auxiliary hinge 17. Further, the first auxiliary display device 13 may be rotatably mounted to the third edge of the cover housing 7a through the first auxiliary hinge 15 with the second auxiliary display device 19 rotatably mounted to the fourth edge of the cover housing 7a through the second auxiliary hinge 17.
Fig. 9 schematically shows a notebook computer according to a fifth preferred embodiment of the present application in a perspective view. As shown in fig. 9, the notebook computer according to the fifth preferred embodiment of the present application is substantially the same as the notebook computer according to the first preferred embodiment of the present application, except that a second auxiliary display device 19 rotatably mounted to a third edge of the set cover case 7a by a second auxiliary hinge 17 and a third auxiliary display device 23 rotatably mounted to a fourth edge of the set cover case 7a by a third auxiliary hinge 21 are further included, the second auxiliary display device 19 being rotatable about the second auxiliary hinge 17 in a direction indicated by an arrow B or in an opposite direction between a position folded outside the set cover case 7a and a position where the second auxiliary display screen is coplanar with the main screen 7B, and the third auxiliary display device 23 being rotatable about the third auxiliary hinge 21 in a direction indicated by an arrow C or in an opposite direction between a position folded outside the set cover case 7a and a position where the third auxiliary display screen is coplanar with the main screen 7B, so a detailed description of the notebook computer according to the fifth preferred embodiment of the present application will be omitted.
In the case of including the first auxiliary display device 13, the second auxiliary display device 19, and the third auxiliary display device 23, when the first auxiliary display device 13, the second auxiliary display device 19, and the third auxiliary display device 23 are all in a position folded outside the set cover case 7a, in order to facilitate folding of the auxiliary display devices on the outside, auxiliary hinges for mounting the outermost auxiliary display device and the intermediate auxiliary display device, respectively, may employ biaxial hinges. Further, the size (length and/or width) of the innermost auxiliary display device may be set to be slightly smaller than the size of the cover housing 7a.

characterized in that the notebook computer (1) further comprises a flat-plate-shaped auxiliary display device rotatably mounted to at least one of the right side edge and the left side edge of the cover housing (7 a) by an auxiliary hinge, the auxiliary display device being rotatable about the auxiliary hinge between a position folded onto the cover housing (7 a) and a position in which an auxiliary display screen of the auxiliary display device is coplanar with the main screen (7 b), the auxiliary display screen being exposed to the outside when the auxiliary display device is rotated to a position folded onto the cover housing (7 a);
the auxiliary display device includes a first auxiliary display device (13) rotatably mounted to one of the right and left side edges of the cover housing (7 a) by a first auxiliary hinge (15), and a second auxiliary display device (19) rotatably mounted to the other of the right and left side edges of the cover housing (7 a) by a second auxiliary hinge (17).
2. The notebook computer according to claim 1, characterized in that the first auxiliary hinge (15) is a biaxial hinge.
3. A notebook computer according to claim 2, characterized in that the first auxiliary display device (13) has the same size as the cover housing (7 a), and the second auxiliary display device (19) has a smaller size than the cover housing (7 a).
