The network video recorder provided by the embodiment of the utility model is further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a network video recorder according to some embodiments of the present application. The network video recorder comprises a first control unit 11 and a second control unit 12 which are connected with each other, a storage unit 13 connected with the first control unit 11 and the second control unit 12, a first network communication unit 14 connected with the storage unit 13, and a second network communication unit 15 connected with the second control unit 12; those skilled in the art will appreciate that the configuration of the network video recorder shown in fig. 1 is merely illustrative and that the network video recorder may actually include more functional units than those shown in fig. 1.
In the case where the second control unit 12 is abnormal and/or the second network communication unit 15 is abnormal, the first control unit 11 controls the storage unit 13 to establish communication with the external device through the first network communication unit 14; the external device is used for performing data read-write operation on the storage unit 13.
The first control unit 11 may be an auxiliary control unit of a network video recorder, such as an MCU, a single-chip microcomputer, etc. The second control unit 12 may be a master control unit of a network video recorder or a control unit for controlling network communication, such as a central processing unit CPU. The storage unit 13 may include a hard disk and a hard disk control device. The second network communication unit 15 may be a wired or wireless network card, including a network communication chip, a network communication interface, etc., and may transmit data through a wired or wireless network to perform network communication with other devices. The first network communication unit 14 may be a wired or wireless network card, or a functional unit such as a bus communication module that enables communication with other devices.
Under the condition that the network video recorder works normally, the second control unit 12 controls the data read-write of the storage unit 13, accesses the storage unit 13 according to the data read command received by the second network communication unit 15, and sends the read data to a server or other devices through the second network communication unit 15 so as to realize the sharing of video data. However, in some fault or abnormal situations, for example, the second control unit 12 is suspended, the chip fails, etc., and the control function cannot be implemented, or the network communication interface in the second network communication unit 15 is damaged, the network communication chip is abnormal, etc., and the data transmission function cannot be implemented, the network video recorder cannot implement the reading and sharing of the video data.
In this case, the data transmission path of the second network communication unit 15-the second control unit 12-the storage unit 13 cannot realize the data transmission function, the first control unit 11 can timely detect the abnormality of the data transmission path through the connection with the second control unit 12, and control the storage unit 13 to establish communication with the external device through the first network communication unit 14, that is, establish the data transmission path in the abnormal condition of the external device-the first network communication unit 14-the storage unit 13. The first network communication unit 14 and the second network communication unit 15 may be regarded as two external interfaces of the network video recorder, wherein the second network communication unit 15 is an external interface under normal conditions, and the first network communication unit 14 is an external interface when an abnormality occurs in the device. After the transmission path of the external device, namely the first network communication unit 14 and the storage unit 13 is established, the external device can send a data read-write command to the storage unit 13, and the storage unit 13 returns corresponding data according to the read-write command, so that video data reading and external transmission are realized, and the problem that hard disk file reading cannot be performed on the fault NVR device in the prior art is solved.
In some embodiments, the first control unit 11 is in communication with the second control unit 12 via heartbeat signals; in the case where the heartbeat signal is not received, the first control unit 11 determines that the second control unit 12 is abnormal.
The first control unit 11 determines whether the operation state of the second control unit 12 is normal or not by the heartbeat signal. Normally, the second control unit 12 sends a heartbeat signal to the first control unit 11 every a period of time, when the second control unit 12 is in an abnormal state such as hanging, the first control unit 11 cannot receive the heartbeat signal within a preset time, the second control unit 12 is determined to be abnormal, specific functional units and components in the abnormal state are determined, the storage unit 13 is controlled to establish communication with external devices through the first network communication unit 14, and a new data transmission path is established.
In some embodiments, the second control unit 12 sends a network anomaly signal to the first control unit 11, from which the first control unit 11 determines that the second network communication unit 15 is anomalous, in case no data transmission signal sent by the second network communication unit 15 is received.
The second control unit 12 and the second network communication unit 15 may be connected through a data transmission bus, which may be a PCIe bus. The data transfer signal may be a PCIe signal, an RGMII signal, etc. If the second control unit 12 does not receive the data transmission signal for a certain time, it is determined that the second network communication unit 15 is abnormal. In the case where the communication between the second control unit 12 and the first control unit 11 is normal, the second control unit 12 sends a network abnormality signal to the first control unit 11, the first control unit 11 determines that the second network communication unit 15 is abnormal according to the network abnormality signal, determines specific functional units and components in which abnormality occurs, and controls the storage unit 13 to establish communication with an external device through the first network communication unit 14, and establishes a new data transmission path.
In some embodiments, fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of a network video recorder according to other embodiments of the present application. Referring to fig. 2, the storage unit 13 includes a hard disk controller 131 and a hard disk 132 connected to the hard disk controller 131.
The first control unit 11 is configured to send a host switching signal to the hard disk controller 131;

The hard disk controller 131 is used for converting a read-write command of the control host to the hard disk 132 into a corresponding read-write signal, and writing data into the hard disk 132 or reading data from the hard disk 132 according to a prescribed hard disk data format. Data may be transferred between the hard disk controller 131 and the hard disk 132 through SATA protocols. The hard disk controller 131 and its control host may perform master-slave communication. The hard disk controller 131 in the present embodiment may be a JMB575. Under normal conditions, the second control unit 12 is a control host of the hard disk controller 131, the second control unit 12 sends a read instruction or a write instruction to the hard disk controller 131, and the hard disk controller 131 returns a corresponding result to the second control unit 12.
In the case that the second control unit 12 is abnormal and/or the second network communication unit 15 is abnormal, the data transmission path of the second network communication unit 15-the second control unit 12-the storage unit 13 cannot realize the data transmission function, at this time, the first control unit 11 controls the hard disk controller 131 to establish a communication path with the external device through the first network communication unit 14, so that the external device and the hard disk controller 131 can realize data communication. On this basis, the first control unit 11 may send a host switching signal to the hard disk controller 131, and after receiving the host switching signal, the hard disk controller 131 switches the control host from the second control unit 12 to the external device, i.e. does not accept the control of the second control unit 12 any more, but accepts the control of the external device. The external device serves as a control host, and can send a read instruction or a write instruction to the hard disk controller 131, and the hard disk controller 131 returns a corresponding result to realize the reading and writing of the hard disk data under the condition that the second control unit 12 is abnormal and/or the second network communication unit 15 is abnormal.

When the external device 21 sends a read instruction or a write instruction to the hard disk controller 131, the wired communication module 142 forwards the instruction and forwards the corresponding return data to the external device 21, thereby realizing data communication between the hard disk controller 131 and the external device 21.
In some embodiments, the first network communication unit 14 may also include both a wireless communication module 141 and a wired communication module 142. The first control unit 11 may select one of the communication modules according to actual requirements, or select one of the communication modules according to the priority order of the two to perform data transmission, for example, if the wireless communication module 141 exists, the wireless communication module 141 is preferentially selected.
In some embodiments, the wired communication module 142 is connected to the external device 21 through one of a SATA interface, a SAS interface, a PCIE interface, and a USB interface. In practical applications, if the hard disk 132 is a SATA interface hard disk or a SAS interface hard disk, communication between the external device 21 and the hard disk controller 131 may be implemented through the SATA interface or the SAS interface, so as to maximize the data transmission rate.
