The arrangement known from the prior art, i.e. the provision of a pushing roller before the application of the edge and a pulling roller after the application of the edge, limits the thickness of the labels thus processed.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
Starting from the known prior art, the technical task to be solved is to specify an application device, a labeling machine and a method for labeling containers, with which different labels can be handled.
According to the invention, this task is solved by the following application device.
According to the utility model discloses a use application equipment in labeling machine, this application equipment is used for will can be through bearing the self-adhesive label of a plurality of self-adhesive labels carrying the carrier tape transport to the container, such as on the bottle, this application equipment includes the induction system that is used for bearing the carrier tape of a plurality of self-adhesive labels, arrange the application edge that is used for following the carrier tape separation self-adhesive label in induction system's low reaches, and arrange the derivation device that is used for deriving the carrier tape in the low reaches of applying the edge in the beverage processing industry. The application device further comprises a push roller system comprising a push roller and a first pressure roller associated with the push roller, and a pull roller system comprising a drivable pull roller and a second pressure roller associated with the pull roller, wherein the pull roller system is arranged between the leading-in edge and the leading-out edge, wherein the pull roller system is arranged between the leading-in edge and the leading-out device, wherein the pull roller and the second pressure roller are configured such that they jointly transport the carrier tape from the leading-in edge to the leading-out device. The push roller system can be arranged in a removal position and in a feed position, wherein in the removal position and in the feed position the carrier tape can be transported from the application edge to the discharge device by the interaction of the pull roller and the second pressure roller, wherein in the feed position the push roller and the associated first pressure roller interact in such a way that the carrier tape with self-adhesive labels can be clamped between the push roller and the first pressure roller and can thus additionally be pushed between them, and wherein in the removal position the pushing of the carrier tape with self-adhesive labels by the push roller system is stopped.
The carrier tape, with or without labels, is not part of the application device. The reference to a carrier tape with or without a label in connection with the application device is for the purpose of illustrating the functional characteristics of the elements of the application device.
The feed position is understood to mean that the pusher roller system acts on the carrier tape with the labels and provides the pushing. Thus, in addition to the pull-type pull roller system acting on the (empty) carrier tape, the push roller system also acts.
The removal position is understood to mean that the pusher roller system does not act on the carrier tape with the labels and is therefore not able to provide a push. Only the drawing roller system acts in traction on the (empty) carrier belt.
Since the pulling roller system is provided such that it can be arranged in the removal position and in the feed position, the containers can be labeled with or without the pusher roller system being activated, without the need to retrofit parts of the application device.
Activation of the push roller system, i.e. the arrangement of the push roller system in the feed position, in which the first pressure roller is fed towards the push roller or the roller is fed towards the first pressure roller, can be effected manually or automatically by means of a controller.
It is thus possible to react to different label materials with suitable variants of the application device (with the pusher roller system in the feed position or in the removal position), respectively. No different application equipment is required and no adaptation due to different label materials has to be performed.
In the case of standard labels, for example flat paper labels, application devices with a pusher roller system in the feed position can be used, so that the labels can be applied to the containers with great positional accuracy. By using a push roller system and a pull roller system, influences of the carrier tape, such as expansion and slippage of the tape of the carrier tape, can be avoided as much as possible in the application device. Furthermore, a tape stress can occur, which is required for a correct detachment of the label from the carrier tape at the application edge.
Special labels, such as tall and/or rigid labels, booklets of labels, RFID labels, slightly deformable labels, can also be handled by an application apparatus in which a pusher roller system is arranged in a removal position.
The first pressure roller may be arranged such that it acts in the feed position on the side of the carrier tape on which the labels are arranged, and the pusher roller may be arranged such that it acts in the feed position (and in the removal position) on the side of the carrier tape on which the labels are not arranged.
The first and/or second squeeze rollers may comprise an elastic material.
The first pinch roller may be arranged such that the first pinch roller is advanceable towards the push roller for arranging the push roller system in the advanced position, and such that the first pinch roller is removable from the push roller for arranging the push roller system in the removed position, for example by being arranged on a pivotable arm. It can be provided here that the pushing rollers remain in a fixed position and in contact with the carrier tape.
The pusher roller may be arranged, for example, by being arranged on a pivotable arm such that the pusher roller is feedable towards the first press roller for arranging the pusher roller system in the feed position and such that the pusher roller is removable from the first press roller for arranging the pusher roller system in the removal position. In this case, it can be provided that the first pressure roller remains in a fixed position and is in contact with the carrier tape.
Alternatively, it can be provided that both the pushing roller and the first pressure roller are moved in order to bring them into the feed position, and that both the pushing roller and the first pressure roller are moved in order to bring them into the removal position.
The arrangement of the push roller system in the removal position and in the feed position can be independent of the actuation of the pull roller system. The drawing roller system can thus be operated independently of which position the pushing roller system, i.e. the pushing roller and/or the first pressure roller, is located.
The first press roller and/or the second press roller can be designed to be drivable. They can each be designed to be drivable independently of one another and, for example, also independently of the pushing and pulling rollers.
The pusher roller may be driven or stationary in the removal position and the pusher roller may be driven in the feed position.
The drives of the push roller system and the pull roller system may be synchronized by a mechanical coupling, which may comprise, for example, gears and/or belts.
The push roller system and the pull roller system may each comprise a drive motor, wherein, for example, synchronization may be achieved electrically by the drive system.
The application device can furthermore comprise a sheet material, brushes and/or rollers, which can be arranged between the insertion device and the application edge and interact with the carrier tape in the activated position, so that the stress of the carrier tape can be controlled.
The activated position is understood to mean that the sheet, the brush and/or the roller can act on the carrier tape with the labels arranged thereon. Thus, the activation position has the meaning as the feed position of the push roller system; only different names are chosen so that it is possible to distinguish between the discussion of the push roller system and the discussion of components such as plates, brushes and/or rollers, for example in a roller-brush system.
The sheet material, the brushes and/or the rollers may be arranged in an activated position and in an inactivated position, wherein the sheet material, the brushes and/or the rollers may be arranged in the activated position when the push roller system is arranged in the removed position.
The inactivated position is understood to mean that the sheet, the brush and/or the roller cannot act on the carrier tape with the labels arranged thereon. Thus, the inactive position has the meaning of a removed position of the push roller system; only different names are chosen so that it is possible to distinguish between the discussion of the push roller system and the discussion of components such as plates, brushes and/or rollers, for example in a roller-brush system.
The application device may furthermore comprise a control unit. The control unit may be designed for controlling the drive motors of the push roller system and the pull roller system. In addition or alternatively, the control unit can be designed for controlling the movement of the push roller system into the feed position and into the displaced position.
In addition, the object of the invention is achieved by a labeling machine for labeling containers, which comprises an application device as described above or further below.
The object is also achieved by the following method. The method for labeling containers using a labeling machine as described above or further below comprises the following steps:
arranging a push roller system in a displacement position or a feed position, the push roller system comprising a push roller and a first pressure roller associated with the push roller, the push roller system being arranged between the insertion device and the application edge;
conveying the self-adhesive labels by a leading-in device by using a bearing belt bearing a plurality of self-adhesive labels;
when the pusher roller system is arranged in the feed position, the carrier tape with the labels is clamped between the pusher roller and the first pressure roller and is thereby pushed in the direction of the application edge;
separating the labels from the carrier tape by means of a dispensing edge arranged downstream of the insertion device;
applying a label to the container;
transporting the carrier tape from the application edge to the removal device by means of a drawing roller system, which comprises a drawing roller and a second pressure roller associated with the drawing roller, the drawing roller system being arranged between the application edge and the removal device;
the carrier tape is discharged by means of a discharge device arranged downstream of the application edge.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of an application device 1 with a pusher roller system 8 in a feed position. The application device 1 comprises a feed device 2 having a carrier tape 4 carrying a plurality of self-adhesive labels 3, which is designed here as an application roller. The carrier tape 4 is conveyed toward the application edge 14 by means of an optional roller-brush system 5, which here comprises, for example, a roller 6 (the roller 6 can be configured in a rotatable manner in a first direction 13 or immovably) and a brush 7, and by means of a pusher roller system 8, which comprises a first pressure roller 9 arranged on a pivotable arm 10 and a pusher roller 11 which rotates in a second direction 12. The carrier tape 4 with the labels 3 located thereon runs around the application edge 14, so that the labels 3 are released from the carrier tape 4 and can be transferred onto the containers 15, respectively.
The carrier tape 4 continues without labels and is fed to the discharge device 21 by means of a pull roller system 16, which comprises a pull roller 17 rotating in a third direction 18 and a second pressure roller 19 arranged on an arm 20, with which the carrier tape 4 can be discharged.
By rotating the pushing roller 11 in the second direction 12 and by rotating the pulling roller 17 in the third direction 18, the carrier tape 4 together with the labels 3 arranged thereon is first moved in the fourth direction 22 and, after passing the application edge 14, the (empty) carrier tape is moved in the fifth direction 23.
The lead-out means 21 may be a winding device as shown, for example, on which the (empty) carrier tape 4 may be wound. Other embodiments are also contemplated herein. It is therefore also possible to involve an endless conveyor, which continues to transport the carrier tape 4. Alternatively, the carrier tape 4 can also be conveyed directly in a manner not further arranged (not intentionally rolled up or wound or folded) towards the removal device or the waste container.
If the discharge device 21 is designed as a winding device, it may comprise, for example, a rotatable mandrel onto which the (empty) carrier tape 4 can be wound. The mandrel can be removed, for example, from the remaining winding device, so that the mandrel and the carrier tape 4 wound thereon can be transported away from the application device when, for example, the entire carrier tape 4 of the label roll is wound onto the mandrel.
Before the carrier tape reaches the application edge 14, the carrier tape 4 can be put under a certain stress by means of a pusher roller system 8 arranged between the transport device 2 and the application edge 14. The carrier tape 4 can be placed under a certain tension by means of a drawing roller system 16 arranged between the application edge 14 and the discharge device 21.
By the interaction of the push roller system 8 and the pull roller system 16, the carrier tape 4 can be subjected to a suitable tape stress, in particular in the region where the labels 3 should be released from the carrier tape 4 at the application edge 14, so that the labels 3 can be reliably and azimuthally accurately released from the carrier tape 4.
A first drive motor 24 is assigned to the pushing roll 11 and a second drive motor 25 is assigned to the drawing roll 17, wherein in fig. 1 the drive motors 24 and 25 are drive motors which differ from one another. It can be provided here that the first drive motor 24 and the second drive motor 25 can also be controlled independently of one another. For example, substantially independent control of the movement parameters of the two drive motors 24, 25, for example by means of a control unit, can be provided. For example, the relative positioning of the two drive motors with respect to each other (e.g. the rotational position when using electric motors or servomotors), the rotational speed of the two drive motors and the torque generated by the two drive motors can be controlled.
For this purpose, a control unit 26 is provided, which is designed to actuate the two drive motors 24, 25 also independently of one another. A servomotor can be used as a drive motor, since the servomotor can be quickly adapted to different parameters.
In principle, it can be provided that the movement parameters of the first drive motor 24 and the second drive motor 25 (i.e. for example their relative position or rotational position to one another, their speed and torque) are controlled by the control unit 26 as a function of the carrier tape 4 and/or the labels 3. Thus, the control unit 26 may be assigned a memory device (e.g., a hard disk or the like). In which storage means a plurality of kinds of information about the labels and/or the carrier tape can be stored. The required belt stress or the range for the belt stress can be assigned to each type or combination of labels and/or carrier tapes, so that when one type of label and/or carrier tape is selected, the belt stress to be set by the push roller system 8 and the pull roller system 16 at the application edge 14 can be determined. The belt stress can be set by the control unit 26 by controlling the two drive motors 24, 25 (also independently of each other). Alternatively or additionally, it can also be provided that the respective movement parameters of the drive motor are stored in a memory device together with the type of label or the type of carrier tape.
Alternatively or additionally, a plurality of sensors can also be provided, which monitor the belt stress in the carrier belt 4 before and after the application edge 14 and, for example, also at the application edge 14. If the belt stress is found to be too great or too small, this can lead to an adjustment in the control unit 26, which in turn leads back to the required value or to a required value range by adjusting the operating parameters of the two drive motors 24, 25 (also independently of one another).
Fig. 2 shows a schematic illustration of the application device 1 with the pusher roller system 8 in the removal position, in which the first pressure roller 9 is removed from the pusher roller 11 and therefore does not act on the self-adhesive labels 28 applied to the carrier tape 27. Illustratively, tag 28 of FIG. 2 is shown thicker than tag 3 of FIG. 1. The pusher roller 11 is in contact with the side of the carrier band 27 to which no label 28 is applied. The pusher roller 11 can here rotate in the direction 12 or be stationary.
Since the pusher roller system 8 does not act in a pushing manner on the carrier tape 27 with the labels 28, a pulling force is exerted on the (empty) carrier tape 27 by the pulling roller system 16 by rotating the pulling rollers 17 in the third direction 18, so that the carrier tape 27 together with the labels 28 arranged thereon is first moved, i.e. pulled, in the fourth direction 22 before the application edge 14 and, after passing the application edge 14, the (empty) carrier tape is moved, i.e. pulled, in the fifth direction 23.
Fig. 3 shows a flow chart of a method for labeling containers 15 using a labeling machine with application device 1.
In step 100, the pusher roller system 8 of the application device, which comprises the pusher roller 11 and the first pressure roller 9 associated with the pusher roller 11, is arranged in the moved position or the feed position, and is arranged between the insertion device 2 and the application edge 14. The arrangement in the shift position or the arrangement in the feed position may be set according to the type of the label.
In step 101, the self- adhesive labels 3, 28 are transported by the insertion device 2 using the carrier tapes 4, 27 carrying the plurality of self- adhesive labels 3, 28. The carrier tape with the labels can be introduced into the application device for this purpose, i.e. guided from the insertion device through the rollers and the pressure roller and around the application edge to the removal device, so that the carrier tape 4, 27 can be transported, for example pushed and pulled, or only pulled in the application device 1.
When the pusher roller system 8 is arranged in the feed position, in step 102 the carrier tape 4 with the labels 3 is clamped between the pusher roller 11 and the first pressure roller 9 and the carrier tape 4 with the labels 3 is thereby pushed in the direction of the application edge 11.
In step 103, the labels 3, 28 are separated from the carrier tapes 4, 27 by means of the application edge 14 arranged downstream of the insertion device 2.
In step 104, the label 3, 28 is applied on the container 15;
in step 105, the carrier tapes 4, 27 are transported from the application edge 14 to the discharge device 21 by means of a drawing roller system 16, which comprises a drawing roller 17 and a second pressure roller 19 associated with the drawing roller 17, which is arranged between the application edge 14 and the discharge device 21 of the application device 1.
In step 106, the carrier tape 4, 27 is discharged by means of a discharge device 21 arranged downstream of the application edge 14.
