The optical fiber sensor 12 is connected to an optical fiber amplifier 13 for amplifying an optical signal. The controller 30 determines whether or not a seal ring is present as a detection target, and controls the performance detection device 10 capable of detecting the presence or absence of a seal ring based on the determination result. The sealing ring is generally made of an elastic material such as rubber, and the reflective property of the sealing ring is different from that of other materials such as metal and plastic. The controller 30 is preset with a range of light intensity (light reflection amount) of the material of which the seal ring is made.
The controller 30 compares the received signal with a predetermined range, and if the signal is within the predetermined light intensity range, the controller 30 determines that a seal ring is present and controls the performance detection device 10 to perform performance detection. If the signal is not within the predetermined light intensity range, the controller 30 determines that the seal ring is not present and controls the performance detection device 10 not to perform the performance detection. The controller 30 may further include a traffic light, and when it is determined that the seal ring is not present, the controller 30 may turn on the traffic light to indicate to the operator that the seal ring is not present. In addition, the controller 30 may also alarm in other ways, such as sounding an alarm.
In the present embodiment, the detection object is fixed by the shaft clamp, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the detection object may be fixed by other means and methods.
In the present embodiment, the ABS wheel speed sensor is used as a detection target, and the seal ring is provided at the head portion thereof, and therefore, a detection member for detecting the presence or absence of the seal ring is provided at a position facing the head portion.
