Abstract
The present invention discloses a method for improving positioning precision in mobile station of spread sectrum and code division multiple access system, with the mobile station of improved positioning precision to provide auxiliary positioning for other mobile stations. The mobile station determines precision itself according to variance of measured signal and variance of positioning value estimated and like, and reports positioning result to base station when precision exceeds a predetermined threshold value, then base station selects suitable positioning information of mobile station to broadcast; other stations within the cell measure the signal of the mobile station selected by base station to facilitate their position estimation. The method of present invention improves overall positioning precision of positioning system, particularly when the number of signals of base station correctly detected by mobile station cannot reach that required for positioning, it is still possible to carry out positioning by method of the present invention.
