The user may click on the "video chat" control to conduct video chat using the display device.
In some embodiments, a user may view a media asset program using display device 200. It should be noted that, the cable television provider may provide the display device 200 with a plurality of media channels, and each media channel may play a different media program, and what media program is played in what time period by each media channel is determined by the cable television provider. The cable television provider may set all of the asset channels in the server so that the asset channels are delivered to the display device 200 by the server for viewing by the user.
The display device 200 may acquire the media asset program data played in the media asset channel through the ATSC3.0 protocol, thereby playing it to the user. ATSC3.0 is the television broadcast ATSC latest digital television standard created by ATSC (advanced television system committee). ATSC3.0 contains about 20 standards that cover various aspects of the system, allowing cable providers to provide customized, dynamic experiences, including dynamic advertisement placement, personalized graphics, and secondary screen application synchronization.
The ATSC3.0 signal may send data by a broadband TCP (transmission control protocol)/IP (internet protocol) multicast manner, that is, the display device 200 may acquire data by means of network transmission. The data may also be delivered by a broadcast ALP (ATSC 3.0link-layer protocol, ATSC3.0link layer protocol) manner, i.e., the display device 200 may acquire the data by a broadcast transmission manner.
After the user instructs the display device 200 to play the media asset channel, the display device 200 may acquire media asset program data played in the media asset channel. It should be noted that, when the display device 200 acquires media program data, the media program data may be acquired by a network transmission method or may be acquired by a broadcast transmission method. However, under different transmission types, the content that can be provided in the media program data is different, for example, the media program data transmitted by the network may include audio data corresponding to a plurality of languages, and the user may control the display device 200 to play one audio language and may switch the audio languages. However, when the user does not know the type of transmission employed by the display apparatus 200 in acquiring the media program data, it is also impossible to determine what can be provided in the media program data, for example, whether or not the audio language can be switched. If the user has related requirements, the user needs to query the content which can be provided at present by himself, for example, the user needs to query whether the current media program can switch the audio language and other content by himself, the operation is complex, and the use experience of the user is seriously affected.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the display device 200 provided in the embodiments of the present application may have a function of prompting a data transmission type, and the display device 200 may be provided with a data transmission type prompting mode. When the user instructs to play a certain media channel, the controller 250 may acquire the data transmission type of the current media program data and control the display device 200 to display, thereby prompting the user so that the user may implement various operations, such as switching audio languages, etc., according to the data transmission type.
In some embodiments, the user may send a data transmission type prompt mode instruction to the display device 200 by operating a designated key of the remote controller. And pre-binding the corresponding relation between the data transmission type prompt mode instruction and the remote controller key in the actual application process. For example, a data transmission type prompt mode key is set on the remote controller, when the user touches the key, the remote controller sends a data transmission type prompt mode instruction to the controller 250, and at this time, the controller 250 controls the display device 200 to enter the data transmission type prompt mode.
A data transmission type hint mode option may also be set in the system UI interface of the display device 200, and when the user clicks on the option, the display device 200 may be controlled to enter or exit the data transmission type hint mode.
In some embodiments, to prevent the user from false triggering the data transmission type alert mode, when the controller 250 receives the data transmission type alert mode instruction, the display 260 may be controlled to display data transmission type alert mode confirmation information, so that the user performs a secondary confirmation as to whether to control the display device 200 to enter the data transmission type alert mode. Fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of data transmission type hint mode acknowledgement information in some embodiments.
FIG. 7 shows an interactive flow diagram of components of display device 200 in some embodiments, including the steps of:
s101, responding to an instruction for indicating to play a target media resource channel, and acquiring target media resource program data; the target media resource program data is the media resource program data of the target media resource program being played in the target media resource channel;
s102, acquiring a target data transmission type of the target media asset program;
s103, controlling a display to display the target media information program data and the media information channel control; the media information control comprises the target data transmission type, and the media information control is displayed on the upper layer of the target media program data.
In some embodiments, the user may instruct the display device 200 to play a certain asset channel to view the asset program being played in the asset channel. In the embodiment of the application, the media resource channel indicated to be played by the user is called a target media resource channel. The user may control the display device 200 to play the target media asset channel.
In some embodiments, in order to facilitate the user selecting the media channels to view, the display device 200 may display a media channel interface, where the media channel interface may include all the media channels acquired by the display device 200, so that the user intuitively determines all the media channels, and thus selects a certain media channel to view.
The user may control the display device 200 to display a media asset channel interface. For example, when a user views a media program being played on a certain media channel, the user may control the display device 200 to call up the media channel interface, thereby selecting a certain media channel for switching. For another example, the user may control the display device 200 to directly call the media channel interface so as to select a media channel for viewing. The user may control the display device 200 to call up the media channel interface in the system UI interface of the display device 200, or may send a response instruction to the display device 200 by using a key preset on the control device, so that the display device 200 calls up the media channel interface.
It should be noted that, when the user first uses the display apparatus 200, if he wants to view the media channels using the display apparatus 200, he needs to search the media channels to generate the media channel interface in order to provide the user with various media channels, considering that the display apparatus 200 may not enter the relevant information of the media channels.
In some embodiments, the user may input instructions to display device 200 indicating a query for media asset channels. In response to the instruction, the controller 250 may control the display 260 to display the media channel interface.
Controller 250 may first detect whether a media asset channel interface has been generated in display device 200. If so, the controller 250 can directly control the display 260 to display the media channel interface. If not, the controller 250 may search the media channel to generate a media channel interface. The controller 250 may search for the asset channel in the cable provider's server to thereby acquire the asset channel that the display apparatus 200 can display.
Controller 250 may generate and send a media channel acquisition request to the server. After receiving the media information channel acquisition request sent by the display device 200, the server may count media information channel information of a plurality of media channels, where the media information channel information may include attribute information such as a media channel name of the media channel. The server may feed back all of the media channel information to the display device 200.
In some embodiments, cable providers may be different in view of the different localities in which the display device 200 is located, resulting in different cable providers providing different media channels. Therefore, when the display device 200 acquires the media channels, the influence of the regional factors can be considered to acquire the media channels in the local region, so as to avoid the situation that the playback fails due to the acquisition of the media channels in other regions.
The controller 250 may acquire network information of the display device 200 when generating the media channel acquisition request. The network information may be an IP address of the display device 200, capable of representing geographical location information of the display device 200. The controller 250 may generate a media asset channel acquisition request carrying network information of the display apparatus 200 and transmit to the server. After receiving the media information channel acquisition request sent by the display device 200, the server may determine the geographical location information of the display device 200 according to the network information of the display device 200, so as to determine the target region where the display device 200 is located. The server can acquire the media information channel corresponding to the target region.
The server may store region information for each region in advance. The server may directly determine the zone information of the target zone. The zone information of the target zone may include a plurality of parameters, such as: region code, province code, region code, and internet service provider code ispCode. The area code refers to a city level code of a city where a target area is located, and each city has a specific area code for distinguishing different areas. The province code region code refers to province-level code of province to which the target region belongs. It should be noted that, for some special regions, for example, in the jurisdiction, it has only provincial codes and has no regional codes, and can be distinguished according to provincial codes and other regions. The internet service provider code ispCode refers to an individual code corresponding to a cable television provider of a target region, each cable television provider having its particular internet service provider code.
The server may determine the cable provider corresponding to the target region, so that all media information channel information, that is, all media information channel information corresponding to the target region, is obtained at the cable provider. The server may transmit the media channel information to the display device 200.
In some embodiments, the media channel acquisition request may not include network information of the display device 200. The server may transmit a network information acquisition instruction to the display apparatus 200 after receiving the media channel acquisition request transmitted from the display apparatus 200. After receiving the network information acquisition instruction, the controller 250 may acquire the network information of the display device 200 and transmit to the server. The server may determine a target region where the display apparatus 200 is located according to the network information of the display apparatus 200, thereby acquiring media information channel information corresponding to the target region and transmitting the media information channel information to the display apparatus 200.
In some embodiments, the server may also filter the media channels that the user cannot view, considering that some media channels may need to be viewed after the user pays, so that when the user does not purchase the media channels that need to be paid, the user does not have the viewing rights for such media channels.
The server may transmit a user identification acquisition request to the display apparatus 200 after receiving the media channel acquisition request transmitted from the display apparatus 200. The user may log in to his own account number in the display device 200, which contains a user identification, e.g. a user ID. Upon receiving the user identification acquisition request sent by the server, the controller 250 may acquire the user identification and send it to the server. The server may acquire all the media channels for which the user has viewing authority according to the user identification, and transmit media channel information of the media channels to the display device 200.
In some embodiments, controller 250 may determine all of the media channels after obtaining the media channel information sent by the server. The controller 250 may generate a media channel interface from all of the media channels. FIG. 8 illustrates a schematic diagram of a media asset channel interface in some embodiments. As shown in fig. 8, the media channel interface includes media channel controls corresponding to all media channels searched by the display device 200, including channel a, channel B, channel C, and so on. The user may select one of the media channel controls and confirm that the controller 250 may control the display 260 to display the media channel corresponding to the media channel control, thereby enabling the user to view the media program being played in the media channel.
In some embodiments, the media channels may be arranged according to a certain order in generating the media channel interface.
The controller 250 may first parse the media information channel information transmitted from the server, and the media information channel information may include a service ID (ServiceID) of the media channel. ServiceID may be used as a key for the asset channels to uniquely identify each asset channel. Each media asset channel would have unique ServiceID, serviceID information that may be server generated for each media asset channel. The server may arrange all the media channels in a certain order, and generate ServiceID of each media channel according to the arrangement order. Accordingly, serviceID may characterize the order of media channels.
The controller 250 may determine a media channel arrangement order based on ServiceID of the plurality of media channels and sort the plurality of media channels. The controller 250 may generate a media channel list according to the sorted media channels, where the media channel list may include media channel controls corresponding to a plurality of media channels, and the media channel list may characterize the order of all the media channels.
Controller 250 may control display 260 to display a media channel interface. The media asset channel interface may include a media asset channel list. The user may select one of the media asset channel controls, and in response to a user selection of the target media asset control, an instruction indicating to play the target media asset channel may be generated to cause the display device 200 to play the target media asset channel.
In some embodiments, the controller 250 may also not sort the media channels by ServiceID itself. The server may send the media asset channel sequence directly to the display device 200. The controller 250 may sort all of the media channels according to the media channel order and generate a media channel list.
The controller 250 may store the media asset channel list in a preset storage module. When a subsequent user input instruction for querying the media channel is detected, the controller 250 may directly obtain the media channel list from the storage module to generate the media channel interface.
In some embodiments, in view of the fact that the media channel controls presented in the media channel interface do not enable the user to determine the media program being played on that media channel, to enhance the user's use experience, the display device 200 may also present a cable interface to the user so that the user may preview the media program being played on a particular media channel to enable the user to determine whether to view the media channel.
The controller 250 may generate a media resource channel list according to the acquired information of all media resource channels, where the media resource channel list may include media resource channel controls corresponding to all media resource channels, and each media resource channel control displays a media resource channel name of the media resource channel. The controller 250 may control the display 260 to simultaneously display the media channel list and a play area so that the user may select a certain media channel according to the media channel list while viewing the media program being played by the media channel in the play area.

The user may select a particular media channel, such as media channel 1, from a list of media channels on the right side of the cable interface. And the preview window on the left side of the cable television interface can display the media information channel 1 selected by the user for the user to preview. The user can determine the currently selected media program in the media channel according to the preview window, so as to decide whether to watch the media channel. When the user determines that viewing of the media asset channel is desired, the user may click on the preview window and the controller 250 controls the display 260 to display the media asset channel full screen for viewing by the user.
In some embodiments, when the user views a media program corresponding to a certain media channel, the display device 200 may be controlled to switch and display other media channels by pressing a switch key, such as an up key and a down key, of the control device to view different media programs. That is, in the course of displaying the media asset program on the display 260, the user may input an instruction to switch media asset channels to the display apparatus 200. The controller 250 may acquire the media channel after the user instructs the switch, i.e., the target media channel.
In response to the instruction, the controller 250 may first determine the currently playing media asset channel, referred to as the current media asset channel in this embodiment of the present application. The controller 250 may acquire a target media channel based on the media channel list, that is, a media channel adjacent to the current media channel in the media channel list.
The media channels in the media channel list are arranged in a certain order, so that the controller 250 can acquire media channels adjacent to the current media channel from the media channel list and determine the media channels as target media channels. For example, the currently playing media channel of the display device 200 is media channel B, and the media channel sequence in the media channel list is media channel a-media channel B-media channel C. When the user instructs to switch to the next media information channel, the target media information channel is media information channel C; when the user instructs to switch to the last media channel, the target media channel is media channel A.
After determining the target asset channel, the controller 250 may generate an instruction to instruct to play the target asset channel so that the display device 200 plays the target asset channel.
In some embodiments, controller 250 may obtain target media asset program data in response to an instruction to play a target media asset channel. In this embodiment of the present application, the target media asset program data is media asset program data of a target media asset program being played in a target media asset channel.
Controller 250 may send a target media asset program data retrieval request to the server. After receiving the target media asset program data acquisition request, the server may transmit target media asset program data of the target media asset channel to the display device 200. The target media asset program data may include video data and audio data of the target media asset program. The display apparatus 200 includes an external device interface, and an audio apparatus may be connected to the external device interface, and a speaker may be built into the display apparatus 200. The controller 250 may control the display 260 to display video data and the audio device or built-in speaker to play audio data, thereby enabling the user to view the target media asset program.
