Detailed Description
The following description of the embodiments of the present invention will be made clearly and fully with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which it is evident that the embodiments described are some, but not all embodiments of the invention. All other embodiments, which can be made by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the invention without making any inventive effort, are intended to be within the scope of the invention.
The terminal location related service may be a network initiated location request (Network Induced Location Request, NI-LR) initiated from the 5G core network, a terminal terminated location request (Mobile Terminated Location Request, MT-LR) service, or a terminal initiated location request (Mobile Originated Location Request, MO-LR) service initiated from the UE. After the AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function ) receives a location service request for a particular target UE, it sends the location service request to the LMF (Location Management Function, local management function). The LMF processes the location service request, performs an LPP (LTE POSITIONING protocol) procedure and/or an NRPPa (NR POSITIONING PROTOCAL a, NR POSITIONING protocol a) procedure, which may include assistance data forwarded to the target UE to assist UE-based and/or UE-based POSITIONING, and then returns the results of the location service to the AMF (e.g., the predicted location of the UE). In case of a request from an entity other than the AMF, for example, a UE, LCS (Location Service) client, etc., the AMF returns a Location Service result to the entity.
In the embodiment of the invention, a positioning configuration method is provided and applied to core network equipment to solve the problem of high network configuration signaling overhead in the existing terminal positioning process.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart of a positioning configuration method provided by an embodiment of the present invention, which is used for a core network device, as shown in fig. 1, and the method includes the following steps:
and 101, determining a terminal group of a terminal to be positioned.
Optionally, the determining the terminal group of the terminal to be located includes:
grouping terminals to be positioned to obtain a terminal group;
or acquiring the terminal group from the grouping information reported by the terminal.
The core network equipment can make a decision on how to group the terminals to be grouped according to the acquired or existing terminal related information; the core network device may also directly obtain the terminal group according to the terminal reporting packet information, where the directly obtaining the terminal group may be understood as that the terminal directly reports the terminal group information, and the core network determines the terminal group reported by the terminal as the terminal group, and performs positioning configuration on the terminal in the determined terminal group by taking the group as a unit.
Optionally, the grouping the terminals to be located to obtain a terminal group includes: grouping terminals to be positioned according to at least one of the following information to obtain a terminal group:
Request auxiliary information (Assistance data) reported by the terminal;
-packet information provided by the application layer (Application Layer);
terminal related information existing in the core network;
terminal status related information provided by the access network.
Optionally, the request auxiliary information reported by the terminal includes at least one of the following: positioning related configuration, positioning requirements and terminal types.
Optionally, the positioning related configuration includes at least one of: a positioning configuration beam on/off request, an on/off request for a positioning reference signal PRS request, a positioning configuration information index, PRS configuration, a low battery indication, a number of base stations/transmission reception points TRP (Transmission reception point), a positioning start time, and a positioning configuration information valid time;
and/or, the positioning requirement, comprising: positioning accuracy and/or positioning delay.
The request auxiliary information includes terminal grouping information, and may be that the terminal directly provides grouping information to the network side, for example, the request auxiliary information may be an index of a certain list, where terminal members corresponding to the index may be dynamically changed. The low battery indication may be indication information transmitted when the terminal power is lower than a preset power value.
The request auxiliary information reported by the terminal can be reported in the LPP process or in other signaling flows.
The application layer may directly indicate grouping information to the core network, for example, in emergency rescue, designate terminals configured by the search and rescue team as one terminal group. The application layer may be an application layer of a terminal or an application layer of another server. The grouping information provided by the application layer may directly include terminal group information, and the core network obtains the terminal group in obtaining the terminal group information provided by the application layer, that is, uses the terminal group provided by the application layer as the terminal group of the positioning configuration.
The existing terminal related information of the core network may be terminal related information reported by a terminal when the terminal is attached to the network, or terminal related information reported to the network by the terminal in other processes, for example, a group of Redcap terminals such as mobile phone terminals, watches, headphones and the like of the same user.
The terminal state related information provided by the access network may be a connection state of the terminal reported by the access network to the core network, for example, an RRC connection state, an idle state, an RRC state of a deactivated state, and the like.
The core network groups the terminals according to the request auxiliary information, grouping information provided by the application layer, existing terminal positioning related information and/or terminal state related information, and it can be understood that the core network groups the terminals according to factors or factor combinations such as the type of the terminals, the terminal state, the positioning requirement, the application layer designation and the like, and performs uniform positioning configuration on each group of grouped terminals.
Optionally, when the request auxiliary information reported by the terminal includes a positioning requirement, grouping the terminals to be positioned to obtain a terminal group includes:
terminals with the same positioning requirements are divided into the same terminal group.
For example, terminals having the same positioning accuracy requirement in the same cell may be grouped together.
For example, in an mctc scenario, a large number of terminals of the same type are usually placed in the same area, and these terminals are required to be consistent for positioning service, and the core network divides the terminals into the same terminal group through the auxiliary information reported by these terminals, the positioning related information stored in the terminals, and/or the terminal state related information, and performs uniform positioning configuration on the terminals. It is assumed that a plurality of terminals in the factory or mall need only locate an approximate range, and the location configuration may configure each terminal measurement within the terminal group to determine whether the terminal is within the range configured by the network.
Optionally, the determining the terminal group of the terminal to be located includes:
and determining a terminal group of the terminal to be positioned, and determining a group leader terminal of the terminal group.
Optionally, the determining the group leader terminal of the terminal group includes:
Determining group leader terminals of the terminal group according to at least one of the following information:
terminal signal quality related information in the terminal group;
the terminal in the terminal group reports the sequence information of the auxiliary information request;
request auxiliary information reported by terminals in a terminal group;
terminal related information existing in the core network;
terminal state related information provided by the access network;
the application layer indicates and determines the related information of the terminal group;
grouping information reported by a terminal; or, the group leader terminal for determining the terminal group includes:
group leader terminals that determine the group of terminals are randomly selected.
For example, in the Redcap UE, a plurality of terminals may be carried by the same user, and the terminals carried by the same user may be determined as one terminal group. The positioning configuration can configure the measurement report by the terminal group leader, and the measurement result of the terminal group leader is used as the positioning reference of the whole group terminal, assuming that the terminal group does not need accurate positioning.
For example, the related information of the terminal in the core network is that the mobile phone terminal of the same user reported by the terminal is a group owner, and the Redcap terminals such as other watches, earphones and the like are group members.
For example, in emergency rescue, the application layer can designate a terminal of a member of a rescue team as a group leader terminal in a terminal group.
Optionally, the group leader terminal of the terminal group is determined according to the grouping information reported by the terminal, which may be that the terminal reports the designated group leader terminal while reporting the terminal group, and the core network uses the group leader terminal reported by the terminal as the group leader terminal.
It may be understood that, in the case where the core network determines the terminal group by acquiring the terminal group from the packet information reported by the terminal, the core network may determine the group leader terminal of the terminal group by using at least one of the terminal signal quality related information in the terminal group, the sequence information of the terminal reporting request auxiliary information in the terminal group, the request auxiliary information reported by the terminal in the terminal group, the terminal related information existing in the core network, the terminal state related information provided by the access network, and the related information of the application layer indicating the determination terminal group as the reference information, or the core network may also randomly select and determine the group leader terminal of the terminal group.
It can be understood that the core network may determine, according to the terminal signal quality related information in the terminal group, the sequence information of the terminal reporting request auxiliary information in the terminal group, the request auxiliary information reported by the terminal in the terminal group, the terminal related information existing in the core network, the terminal state related information provided by the access network, the related information of the terminal group indicated by the application layer, one of these information determines the group leader terminal of the terminal group, or may comprehensively determine the group leader terminal of the terminal group according to a combination of multiple items therein.
Optionally, the core network LMF groups the terminals to be located.
Step 102, determining positioning configuration information or positioning configuration information index of the terminal group.
The positioning configuration information index maps a group of positioning configuration information, a specific mapping relation can be predetermined, the mapping relation can be notified to the terminal in advance by the network, and when the subsequent network indicates the positioning configuration information, the network only needs to indicate the positioning configuration information index, so that signaling overhead can be further saved.
Optionally, the positioning configuration information is correspondingly configured with a timer, and the duration of the timer is the effective duration of the positioning configuration information.
Each terminal member within the same group of terminals is configured to have the same location configuration information or location configuration information index. However, a terminal group is not limited to a corresponding set of positioning configuration information or a positioning configuration information index, and optionally, one or more sets of positioning configuration information of a terminal group; or, the positioning configuration information index is one or more, and each terminal in the terminal group also has one or more sets of positioning configuration information or one or more positioning configuration information indexes.
When the terminal has multiple sets of positioning configuration information or multiple positioning configuration information indexes, which set of positioning configuration information or which positioning configuration information index is specifically used can be further indicated and determined by the network side, and can also be determined by the effective time or effective time configuration corresponding to the positioning configuration information.
Step 103, sending positioning configuration information or positioning configuration information index corresponding to the terminal group to the access network equipment, so that the access network equipment sends the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index to the terminal group.
And sending positioning configuration information or a positioning configuration information index corresponding to the terminal group to the access network equipment, wherein the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index is optionally provided with an identifier taking the group as a unit.
And the same group of terminals can be subjected to uniform positioning configuration, and only one part of positioning configuration is required to be issued to the access network equipment for one group of terminals, so that the access network equipment sends the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index to the terminal group.
Optionally, the core network LMF issues the same configuration to the same terminal group.
The positioning configuration method in the embodiment determines the terminal group of the terminal to be positioned, and can perform unified positioning configuration on the same group of terminals, and only one part of positioning configuration is required to be issued to the access network for one group of terminals, so that the signaling overhead of interaction between the core network and the access network can be saved in the positioning process.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart of a positioning configuration method provided by an embodiment of the present invention, which is used for an access network device, as shown in fig. 2, and the method includes the following steps:
step 201, receiving positioning configuration information or positioning configuration information index corresponding to a terminal group.
Step 202, the positioning configuration information or the searching and sending of the positioning configuration information to the terminal corresponding to the terminal group.

and sending an LTE positioning protocol message to a terminal corresponding to the terminal group, wherein the LTE positioning protocol message carries the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index.
Wherein the LTE positioning protocol (LTE Positioning Protocol, LPP) messages include 8 types, which are capability request message (RequestCapabilities message), capability provide message (ProvideCapabilities message), assistance information request message (RequestAssistanceData message), assistance information provide message (ProvideAssistanceData message), location information request message (RequestLocationInformation message), location information provide message (ProvideLocationInformation message), interrupt (abort) message, error (error) message, respectively.
Optionally, the paging message carries the positioning configuration information or a positioning configuration information index, including:

or, the short message carries the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index, including:
and carrying the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index in 4-8 bits in the short message.

Before sending the paging message to the terminal corresponding to the terminal group, that is, before sending the paging message to the terminal corresponding to the terminal group in the case of sending only the paging message; and the method can also refer to the situation that the paging message and the system message are sent before the paging message is sent to the terminal corresponding to the terminal group.
By sending the paging advance indication PEI, the wake-up signal WUS or the indication message for indicating whether the subsequent paging message carried by the PDCCH needs to be received, the specific terminal can be indicated to receive the paging message, so that the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index of the specific terminal group is sent to each terminal in the specific terminal group in a targeted manner, and the power consumption of interaction between the access network and the terminal can be reduced.
