Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of ink-jet synthetic paper, and particularly relates to ink-jet synthetic paper and a manufacturing method thereof.
Background
The application of inkjet printing technology has been advanced into various fields of life, and the development of advertising consumables makes different selections of materials required at different use sites. In addition to the long-used paper-based ink-jet printing paper, there is a demand for ink-jet printing synthetic paper with a film substrate, which is generally made by coating a BOPP substrate with an ink-jet functional coating, unlike ink-jet printing paper, the film substrate itself is difficult to firmly bond with the coating on the one hand, and the film itself is not absorbent on the other hand. The required inkjet coating differs significantly from conventional inkjet paper coating processes. In general, a primer layer is generally applied as a connection layer between the ink-receptive coating and the substrate. Then one or more layers of ink-absorbing coating are coated to achieve the function of meeting the requirement of ink-jet.
The existing synthetic paper ink-absorbing coating not only needs to fully absorb ink, but also needs to achieve firm bonding of the coating, and simultaneously needs to meet the waterproof performance of the coating and the ink-jet pattern. Therefore, the materials and the formulation of the coating are optimized to achieve the best effect of the coating. The surface strength of the ink-absorbing coating of the current ink-jet synthetic paper products used in the domestic market is obviously insufficient, and the ink-absorbing capacity of the coating must be realized by depending on a very high coating amount. The reason for this is mainly because a large amount of silica having a high oil absorption value is used as an ink absorbing component in the coating layer, and PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) having a medium and high molecular weight is basically used as an adhesive for achieving good surface strength. A large amount of water-resistant resin emulsion is also required to satisfy the water resistance of the coating. The addition of PVA and resin emulsion significantly reduces the absorbency of the coating, so only the coating weight can be increased to meet the ink absorbency requirement. The disadvantage of this technology is high cost of coating and low coating efficiency, so we propose an inkjet synthetic paper and its manufacturing method.
