Abstract
The application discloses a method, a device, equipment and a medium for communication connection between a host and a storage system, wherein the method comprises the following steps: when the configuration information of the NVMeoFC storage system changes, obtaining changed configuration information of the change of the configuration information in the NVMeoFC storage system; determining a target host with changed configuration information in the NVMeoFC storage system according to the changed configuration information; and if the target host is registered in the out-of-band management server, sending target configuration information corresponding to the target host in the changed configuration information to the target host so as to enable the target host to establish communication connection with the NVMeoFC storage system. Compared with the prior art, the method utilizes the out-of-band management server to establish the communication connection between the target host and the NVMeoFC storage system, so that the reliability of the host when the communication connection is established with the NVMeoFC storage system can be further ensured.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of server technologies, and in particular, to a method, an apparatus, a device, and a medium for connecting a host to a storage system in a communication manner.
Background
NVMe (Non Volatile Memory express, nonvolatile memory host controller interface specification) has a problem that a timeout mechanism is imperfect, that is, a problem that a host has a probabilistic connection failure when establishing a communication connection with an NVMeoFC (NVMe over Fibre Channel, implementing NVMe transmission through an optical fiber network) storage system. The principle of automatically connecting the host with the NVMeoFC storage system is as follows: when the host establishes port connection with the NVMeoFC storage system, it is determined whether the port on the NVMeoFC storage system has a discovery capability, and if the port of the NVMeoFC storage system has the discovery capability, udev (device manager) is triggered. In this case, the host sends the relevant link information to the NVMeoFC storage system, and triggers the nvme command by the preconfigured rule file to automatically complete the connection with the NVMeoFC storage system.
From the above procedure, it can be seen that the process of automatically connecting the NVMeoFC storage system by the host relies on the problem of the port triggering udev for the communication connection. If the NVMeoFC storage system cannot provide the NVMe connection service due to an abnormal reason when the port connection is established, the host cannot establish a communication connection with the NVMeoFC storage system even if the NVMeoFC storage system is restored to normal. Obviously, this does not guarantee the reliability of the host in establishing a communication connection with the NVMeoFC storage system. Currently, there is no more effective solution to this technical problem.

The following description of the embodiments of the present invention will be made clearly and completely with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which it is apparent that the embodiments described are only some embodiments of the present invention, but not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be made by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the invention without making any inventive effort, are intended to be within the scope of the invention.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for communication connection between a host and a storage system according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the method includes:

Specifically, when a host allowing access, a namespace or an NVMeoFC storage system is newly added to the NVMeoFC storage system, and an NVMeoFC service cannot be provided to the access host at the current moment, the configuration information of the NVMeoFC storage system is changed, and in this case, the out-of-band management server obtains the change configuration information with the changed configuration information from the NVMeoFC storage system.

Compared with the prior art, the method utilizes the out-of-band management server to acquire the changed configuration information of the configuration information in the NVMeoFC storage system, and sends the target configuration information corresponding to the target host in the changed configuration information to the target host, so that the communication connection between the target host and the NVMeoFC storage system is established. In practical application, if the target host is not registered in the out-of-band management server, it is indicated that the target host is abnormal, and in this case, the out-of-band management server prompts early warning information. By the arrangement, maintenance personnel can be timely reminded to detect and maintain the target host, so that economic losses caused by abnormal situations of users can be reduced or avoided.

a status subscription program module is added to the target host in advance, and the NQN of the target host is registered to the out-of-band management server by using the status subscription program module.
In this embodiment, in order to ensure that the target host can establish reliable communication connection with the NVMeoFC storage system, a status subscription program module is further added to the target host in advance, and the status subscription program module is utilized to independently manage the communication connection condition between the target host and the NVMeoFC storage system. Specifically, after the status subscription program module is added to the target host, the status subscription program module first registers NQN of the target host in the out-of-band management server, and stores the relevant information of the target host in the out-of-band management server.

When the state subscription program module receives the target configuration information sent by the out-of-band management server, the target configuration information is sent to the target host, so that the target host and the NVMeoFC storage system are in communication connection.

In practical application, the state subscription module on the target host passively receives the target configuration information sent by the out-of-band management server, and because the state subscription module also stores the communication connection information between the target host and the NVMeoFC storage system, the state subscription module can also be used for periodically detecting the communication connection state between the target host and the NVMeoFC storage system.
That is, if the state subscription program module detects that the communication connection state between the target host and the NVMeoFC storage system is interrupted, the state subscription program module notifies the target host to establish the communication connection with the NVMeoFC storage system again.
