The session management method provided by the embodiment of the invention, as shown in fig. 1, may be applied to a session management system including an AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function, access and mobility management function entity) in PNI-NPN, PLMN, PNI-NPN, an AMF in PLMN, an OAM (Operation Administration and Maintenance, operation management and maintenance function entity) in PLMN, UE (User Equipment), and the like, where the PLMN carries PNI-NPN, and the PNI-NPN is an NPN network constructed based on network fragmentation on the PLMN. In the figure, the solid ellipse represents the range of the core network, the dotted ellipse represents the coverage of the wireless network, and the AMF 1 (i.e., first AMF), AMF 3 (i.e., the third AMF) represents the AMF in PNI-NPN 2 (i.e., the second AMF) represents AMF, OA in PLMNM is responsible for completing parameter management and configuration of the PLMN, and the UE (i.e. user equipment) may be in the wireless network coverage of the PNI-NPN and/or PLMN.
As shown in fig. 2, an embodiment of the present invention provides a session management method, when applied to OAM, the method may include the following steps:
in step S11, in response to the session management request sent by the first AMF, network resource allocation is performed for the user equipment according to the session slice information carried in the session management request.
The session management request is sent by the first AMF when detecting that the connected ue is switched to the second AMF and the ue has an unfinished session, and the PLMN where the first AMF is located carries the PNI-NPN where the second AMF is located.
In step S12, the second AMF is instructed to send context parameters of the user equipment to the third AMF, and the third AMF is instructed to maintain the session of the user equipment, for the third AMF to maintain the session of the user equipment according to the network resource configuration and the context parameters.
The third AMF may be an existing AMF in the PLMN, or an AMF temporarily created in the PLMN by the OAM.
Initially, the UE is connected to the PNI-NPN, is in wireless network coverage of the PNI-NPN, and is AMF 1 And (5) connection. When AMF 1 Detecting a handover of a UE to AMF 2 And when the UE has an unfinished session, the UE leaves the wireless network coverage of PNI-NPN, enters the wireless network coverage of PLMN and is connected to the AMF along with the change of the user position 2 At this point the session that the UE has not yet ended is about to be interrupted. Thus, AMF 1 Transmitting a session management request carrying session slice information to OAM, wherein the session slice information is associated with a session which is not finished by the UE, and the OAM performs network resource configuration for user equipment according to the session slice information and selects AMF 3 Taking over the session that the UE has not ended, after the configuration is completed, the OAM indicates the AMF 2 Will be from AMF 1 The obtained context parameters of the UE are handed over to the AMF 3 At the same time OAM indicates AMF 3 Maintaining session of UE, AMF 3 Network resource allocation and AMF (advanced mechanical systems function) which can be made according to OAM (operation, administration and maintenance) 2 Care ofThe context parameters of the UE keep the session of the UE that has not yet ended.
As can be seen from the foregoing steps S11 to S12, in the session management method provided by the embodiment of the present invention, when the first AMF detects that the connected ue is switched to the second AMF and the ue has an unfinished session, the first AMF sends a session management request to the OAM, the OAM configures network resources for the ue according to session slice information carried in the session management request, instructs the second AMF to send context parameters of the ue to the third AMF, and instructs the third AMF to maintain the session of the ue, so that the third AMF maintains the session of the ue according to the network resource configuration and the context parameters. When the user equipment leaves the PNI-NPN wireless network coverage area and enters the wireless network coverage area of the PLMN bearing the PNI-NPN, the third AMF can keep the session which is not finished by the user equipment according to the network resource configuration made by the OAM and the context parameters of the user equipment forwarded by the second AMF, so that the ongoing session of the user equipment cannot be forced to be interrupted, and the user experience is improved.
It should be noted that, the third AMF may be an AMF in the PLMN, and the embodiment of the present invention does not specifically limit the third AMF, and the third AMF and the second AMF may also be the same AMF, where the OAM may only instruct the second AMF (and at the same time the third AMF) to keep the session of the UE, and since the second AMF has acquired the context parameter of the UE from the first AMF during the process of switching the UE from the first AMF to the second AMF, the second AMF may directly keep the session of the UE according to the network resource configuration and the context parameter made by the OAM.
In some embodiments, the network resource configuration includes partitioning radio network resources and allocating core network resources, and after instructing the second AMF to send context parameters of the user equipment to the third AMF and instructing the third AMF to maintain the session of the user equipment, the method may further comprise the steps of: responsive to the session ending, the partitioning of the radio network resources and the allocation of the core network resources are cancelled.
Wherein the wireless network resource can be time slice, frequency point, frequency band, wireless signal (including code, frequency, etc.), microwave, etc., and core networkThe resources may be network elements such as UPF (User Plane Function ) and SMF (Session Management Function, session management entity) for managing the user equipment session, or the core network resources may be allocated to create a network partition. AMF (advanced mechanical systems) 3 Mainly based on OAM divided wireless network resources and AMF 2 The context parameters of the handed-over UE keep the session of the UE that has not yet ended.
When the session of the UE is ended, the OAM needs to restore the network configuration made to keep the UE session uninterrupted, specifically, cancel dividing the radio network resources for the UE, that is, restore the configuration made when dividing the radio network resources for the UE; and canceling the allocation of the core network resources to the UE, i.e., restoring the configuration performed when the core network resources are allocated to the UE.
In some embodiments, the session slice information includes at least S-nsai (Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information ) parameters corresponding to the session, and the configuring network resources for the user equipment according to the session slice information carried in the session management request may include the following steps: determining the wireless network resource requirement and the core network resource of the session according to the S-NSSAI parameters corresponding to the session; and allocating core network resources for the user equipment, and marking the wireless network resources meeting the wireless network resource requirements in the PLMN as PNI-NPN available wireless network resources.
The S-nsai parameter is an S-nsai value used by the session, and the S-nsai value has a one-to-one correspondence with the session, that is, if the UE has a plurality of sessions that are not ended, the S-nsai parameter includes a plurality of S-nsai values that respectively correspond to a plurality of sessions that are not ended by the UE one-to-one. AMF (advanced mechanical systems) 3 It may be that the OAM is created in the PLMN according to the core network resources allocated for the UE. According to the S-NSSAI value used by the session, the type of network elements such as UPF and SMF required by the session and the information such as service quality parameters can be determined, OAM can allocate core network resources for UE on the current route tracking area of the UE according to the S-NSSAI parameter in the session slice information, and determine the wireless network resource requirement of the UE, so that the PLMN is free of the wireless network resource requirement of the UEThe network resources are marked as PNI-NPN available wireless network resources for subsequent AMF 3 Can be marked according to OAM and AMF 2 The context parameters of the handed-over UE keep the session that the UE has not yet ended.
It should be noted that the session slice information may include an S-nsai value used by a session that is not ended by the ue, and may further include an identifier of a handover target AMF of the ue, that is, an identifier of the second AMF, and a route tracking area where the ue is currently located, that is, a wireless network coverage.
As shown in fig. 3, an embodiment of the present invention provides a session management method, which when applied to a third AMF, may include the following steps:
in step S21, in response to the context parameter of the ue sent by the second AMF and the instruction sent by the OAM to maintain the session of the ue, the session of the ue is maintained according to the network resource configuration and the context parameter made by the OAM.
The instruction of maintaining the session of the user equipment is sent by the OAM after receiving the session management request sent by the first AMF, and the PLMN where the first AMF is located carries the PNI-NPN where the second AMF is located.
When AMF 3 Receipt of AMF 2 When the transmitted UE context parameters and the OAM transmitted instruction for maintaining the session of the user equipment, the UE is out of the wireless network coverage of PNI-NPN, enters the wireless network coverage of PLMN and is connected to the AMF 2 At this point the session that the UE has not yet ended is about to be interrupted. Thus, AMF 3 Network resource allocation and AMF (advanced mechanical systems function) which can be made according to OAM (operation, administration and maintenance) 2 The sent context parameters keep the session of the terminal, so that the ongoing session of the user equipment is not forced to be interrupted due to the change of the position, and the user experience is improved.
In some embodiments, the network resource configuration includes dividing wireless network resources, and the maintaining the session of the user equipment according to the network resource configuration and the context parameters by the OAM may include the steps of: allocating wireless network resources for the user equipment according to the OAM divided wireless network resources and the context parameters so that the user equipment can perform session through the allocated wireless network resources; and forwarding NAS (Non-access Stratum) signaling sent by the user equipment to the first AMF, and forwarding the NAS signaling sent by the first AMF to the user equipment.
OAM marks wireless network resources meeting the wireless network resource requirements of UE in PLMN as PNI-NPN available wireless network resources, AMF 3 Receipt of AMF 2 After the transmitted context parameters and the instruction of maintaining the session of the ue transmitted by the OAM, the available radio network resources and AMF of the PNI-NPN marked by the OAM may be used 2 The transmitted context parameters allocate radio network resources for the UE so that the UE can pass through the AMF 3 The allocated wireless network resources are used for conversation; AMF (advanced mechanical systems) 3 Can also be used as relay AMF in UE and AMF 1 And forwarding NAS signaling of the UE to maintain the session connection of the UE. Equivalent to when the UE is in wireless network coverage of the PLMN, but still has access to the PNI-NPN.
Incidentally, AMF 3 Also can be used in UE and AMF by other AMFs 1 NAS signaling for forwarding UE between, i.e. UE and AMF 1 Not only does the transmission of NAS signaling between them need to be through AMF 3 The other AMFs also need to pass through, but at the moment, the other AMFs only play a role in forwarding and are still used by the AMFs 3 And allocating wireless network resources for the UE according to the network resource configuration and the context parameters made by the OAM, and indicating other AMFs to forward.
In some embodiments, after the session of the user equipment is maintained according to the network resource configuration and the context parameters by the OAM, the method may further include the steps of: in response to the session ending, the connection between the user equipment and the PNI-NPN is disconnected.
AMF when the session of UE is ended 3 The connection between the user equipment and the PNI-NPN may be forced to be broken.
It is emphasized that CAG (Closed Access Group ) is used for connection access control for UEs connected to PNI-NPN, and if one UE is marked as "connected only CAG cell", the UE can only access to PNI-NPN by connecting to the cell marked as CAG in PNI-NPN and cannot connect to the cell not marked as CAG. Thus, in embodiments of the present invention, the UE must not be marked as "connect CAG cell only" in order for the UE to be able to access the PNI-NPN by connecting to the cell not marked as CAG.
As shown in fig. 4, an embodiment of the present invention provides a session management method, which when applied to a first AMF, may include the following steps:
in step S31, in response to detecting that the ue connected to the current AMF is switched to the second AMF and that the ue has an unfinished session, a session management request is sent to the OAM, so that the OAM performs network resource configuration for the ue according to session slice information carried in the session management request, instructs the second AMF to send context parameters of the ue to the third AMF, and instructs the third AMF to maintain the session of the ue.
Wherein, the PLMN where the first AMF is located carries the PNI-NPN where the second AMF is located.
Thus, AMF 1 Transmitting a session management request carrying session slice information of a session which is not finished by the UE to the OAM, so that the OAM performs network resource configuration for the user equipment according to the session slice information and selects an AMF 3 Taking over the session that the UE has not ended, and after configuration is completed, indicating AMF 2 Will be from AMF 1 The obtained context parameters of the UE are handed over to the AMF 3 At the same time indicate AMF 3 Maintaining an as yet not-ended session for a UE, AMF 3 Network resource allocation and AMF (advanced mechanical systems function) which can be made according to OAM (operation, administration and maintenance) 2 The context parameters of the handed-over UE keep the session of the UE that has not yet ended. The method and the device can prevent the ongoing session of the user equipment from being forcedly interrupted due to the change of the position, and improve the user experience.
The session management method provided by the present invention is briefly described below with reference to fig. 1 in conjunction with a specific embodiment:
step 1, AMF 1 Detecting a handover of a UE to AMF 2 And the UE has an unfinished session, and sends a session management request to the OAM, wherein the session management request carries the following information: S-NSSAI value and AMF used by session not ended by UE 2 Is the identity of the route tracking area where the UE is currently located.
Step 2, OAM allocates core network resources for the UE in the current route tracking area of the UE according to the S-NSSAI value used by the session which is not ended by the UE, and marks the wireless network resources meeting the wireless network resource requirements of the UE in the PLMN as PNI-NPN available wireless network resources.
It should be noted that, as the location of the user changes, the route tracking area where the UE is located in step 2 may be different from the route tracking area where the UE is located in step 1.
Step 3, OAM indicates AMF 2 To AMF 3 Transmitting context parameters of a UE and indicating AMF 3 The session of the UE is maintained.
Step 4, AMF 3 Receiving an instruction sent by OAM to maintain a session of a UE and AMF 2 And the transmitted context parameters of the UE.
Step 5, AMF 3 And allocating wireless network resources for the UE according to the PNI-NPN available wireless network resources marked by the OAM and the context parameters.
Step 6, AMF 3 At UE and AMF 1 And forward NAS signaling of the UE.
And 7, ending the session of the UE.
Step 8, AMF 3 In response to the end of the session of the UE, the connection between the UE and the PNI-NPN is disconnected.
And 9, the OAM responds to the end of the session of the UE, the mark in the step 2 is canceled, and the core network resource allocated for the UE is canceled.
The flow ends up here.
Based on the same technical concept, as shown in fig. 5, an embodiment of the present invention further provides an operation administration and maintenance functional entity OAM, which may include:
