Description

ARP table updating method and device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for updating an Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) table.
Background
In the three-layer to edge network architecture shown in fig. 1, at least two aggregation network devices (shown in the figure as including two aggregation network devices) are respectively connected to at least two access network devices to form a full network (full mesh), each access network device learns an ARP entry of a downstream terminal, converts the ARP entry into a route and synchronizes the route to each aggregation network device, and each aggregation network device has a route of the full network.
In a static Internet Protocol (IP) address scenario, after an online terminal goes offline, an access network device connected to the terminal deletes an ARP entry corresponding to the terminal when the ARP entry reaches an aging duration, and then notifies each aggregation network device to delete a route corresponding to the ARP entry, thereby implementing route update of each aggregation network device.
In the method for updating the ARP table, the ARP table entry cannot be aged in time, the ARP table entry needs to be deleted after the aging time is up, if the aging time is not up and another terminal uses the same IP address to be online, two paths of the IP address are stored on each aggregation network device, so that an equivalent route is formed, if the aggregation network device receives a message of the equivalent route in matching and forwards the message to an access network device corresponding to an offline terminal, and if the online terminal cannot receive the message, packet loss occurs, so that the network is disconnected from the terminal, and user experience is greatly influenced.

Detailed Description
For the problem that the ARP entry cannot be timely aged in the prior art, an embodiment of the present invention provides an ARP table updating method, which may be applied to at least two access network devices and at least two aggregation network devices included in a three-layer to edge network, where the at least two aggregation network devices share a setting table and are respectively connected to the at least two access network devices, and the ARP table updating method using the access network devices and the aggregation network devices as execution main bodies is described below.
First, an ARP table updating method with access network equipment as the execution subject is introduced, and the flow of the method is shown in fig. 2, and the execution steps are as follows:
s21: after receiving an ARP message sent by a terminal connected downstream, sending a query message carrying a source IP Address and a source Media Access Control (MAC) Address of the ARP message to a first selected aggregation network device of at least two aggregation network devices so that the first selected aggregation network device queries the source IP Address in a setting table, if the source IP Address is found in the setting table, returning a response message carrying the source IP Address and the source MAC Address as a result of the query, sending a detection message carrying the source IP Address and the first MAC Address included in a first table item of the source IP Address in the setting table to a first Access network device corresponding to a first device identifier included in the first table item, and if the source IP Address is not found in the setting table, returning a response message carrying the source IP Address and the source MAC Address as a result of the query, and establishing a network device including the source IP Address, the source MAC Address, the Media Access Control (MAC) Address in the setting table, A source MAC address and a second entry of a second device identifier of a second access network device that sent the query message.
After the terminal is connected with the access network equipment, various types of ARP messages can be sent, for example, ARP free messages, ARP request messages and the like, after the access network equipment receives any type of ARP messages, because at least two pieces of aggregation network equipment share a setting table, one aggregation network equipment can be selected from at least two pieces of aggregation network equipment, the selected aggregation network equipment can be defined as a first selected aggregation network equipment, then a query message is sent to the first selected aggregation network equipment, the query message carries a source IP address and a source MAC address of the ARP messages, the first selected aggregation network equipment queries the source IP address in the setting table, if the source IP address is found, the query message corresponding to the source IP address is received before, namely the source IP address is used before, on one hand, a response message carrying the result of the found source IP address and the source MAC address is returned, on the other hand, a detection message carrying the source IP address and the MAC address (which may be defined as a first MAC address) included in the first entry is sent to an access network device (which may be defined as a first access network device) corresponding to a device identifier (which may be defined as a first device identifier) included in an entry (which may be defined as a first entry) where the source IP address is located in the setting table, so that the first access network device initiates ARP detection; if the source IP address is not found, it indicates that the source IP address is not used currently, on one hand, a response message carrying the source IP address and the source MAC address which are not found is returned, and on the other hand, an entry (which may be defined as a second entry) of the device identifier (which may be defined as a second device identifier) of the access network device (which may be defined as a second access network device, that is, the execution subject of the method for updating the ARP table shown in fig. 2 is the second access network device) that sends the query message is established in the setting table.
S22: and if a response message carrying the result that the source IP address and the source MAC address are not found is received, adding a first ARP table item comprising the source IP address and the source MAC address in the ARP table.
If the second access network device receives a response message which carries a result that the source IP address and the source MAC address are not found, indicating that the source IP address is not currently used, adding an ARP entry (which may be defined as a first ARP entry) including the source IP address and the source MAC address in the ARP entry.
S23: if a detection message carrying a first IP address and a second MAC address and sent by a second selected aggregation network device of the at least two network aggregation devices is received, ARP detection is initiated based on the first IP address and the second MAC address, if an ARP response is not received, a second ARP table entry comprising the first IP address and the second MAC address is deleted from the ARP table, and a deletion notice carrying the first IP address and the second MAC address is sent to the second selected aggregation network device, so that the second selected aggregation network device deletes a third table entry comprising the first IP address and the second MAC address from the setting table.
If the second access network device receives a detection message carrying the first IP address and the second MAC address sent by a second selected aggregation network device of the at least two network aggregation devices, it indicates that the second selected aggregation network device receives an inquiry message carrying the first IP address and the second MAC address, and the second access network device has a terminal corresponding to the first IP address in a downlink connection, at this time, the second access network device needs to initiate ARP detection based on the first IP address and the second MAC address, and specifically, the second MAC address can be used as a destination MAC address, and the first IP address is carried in an ARP detection message, so as to implement ARP detection, since the unicast message is sent, if the corresponding terminal receives the message, an ARP response is sent, and if the second access network device does not receive the ARP response, it indicates that the corresponding terminal has been offline, then a table entry (which may be defined as a second ARP) including the first IP address and the second MAC address is deleted from the ARP table, therefore, the ARP table items are deleted in time, a deletion notice carrying the first IP address and the second MAC address is sent to the second selected aggregation network equipment, and the second selected aggregation network equipment deletes the third table items comprising the first IP address and the second MAC address from the setting table, so that the accuracy of the setting table is ensured.
It should be noted that, the first selected aggregation network device may be the same as or different from the second selected aggregation network device, and when the first selected aggregation network device is the same as the second selected aggregation network device, the first IP address is a source IP address, and the first MAC address is a source MAC address, and when the first selected aggregation network device is different from the second selected aggregation network device, the first IP address is not a source IP address, and the first MAC address is not a source MAC address.
In the scheme, after the access network equipment receives the ARP message sent by the terminal connected downstream, the access network equipment does not automatically learn the ARP table entries, but cooperates with the first selected aggregation network equipment in at least two aggregation network equipment to determine whether to add the ARP table entries or delete the ARP table entries, and does not delete the ARP table entries after the aging duration of the ARP table entries is expired, so that the deletion time of the ARP table entries can be shortened, the situation that the terminal on line cannot receive the message is avoided, the phenomena of packet loss and network disconnection of the terminal are avoided, and the user experience is greatly improved.
Optionally, the method further includes:
and if the received response message carrying the result of the search, the source IP address and the source MAC address is received, suspending the ARP message sent by the receiving terminal within the set time length.
If the second access network device receives the response message carrying the result that the source IP address and the source MAC address are found, and the IP conflict occurs because the source IP address is used before, the ARP message sent by the terminal is paused to be received within the set time length, the ARP message sent by the terminal is received again after the set time length expires, and the steps from S21 to S23 are executed.
The set time period may be set according to actual needs, and for example, may be set to 1 second, 2 seconds, and the like.
Optionally, the method further includes:
and if the ARP response is received, sending a survival notice carrying the first IP address and the second MAC address to the second selected aggregation network equipment so as to enable the second selected aggregation network equipment to keep a third table entry.
If the second access network device receives the ARP response, the first IP address is used by the terminal, so that the survival notice carrying the first IP address and the second MAC address is sent to the second selected aggregation network device, and the second selected aggregation network device keeps the third table entry to ensure the accuracy of the setting table.
The ARP table updating method using the access network device as the execution subject is introduced above, and the ARP table updating method using the aggregation network device as the execution subject is introduced below, where the flow of the method is shown in fig. 3, and the execution steps are as follows:
s31: and receiving an inquiry message carrying the source IP address and the source MAC address of the ARP message, which is sent by a second access network device of at least two access network devices after the second access network device receives the ARP message sent by the terminal of the downlink.
After any access network device (which may be defined as a second access network device) of the at least two access network devices receives an ARP message sent by a downlink terminal, one of the at least two aggregation network devices is selected as a selected aggregation network device, and an inquiry message carrying a source IP address and a source MAC address of the ARP message is sent.
For convenience of explanation corresponding to the method described in fig. 1, the execution subject of the method shown in fig. 2 is the first selected aggregation network device.
S32: inquiring the source IP address in the setting table, and if the source IP address is found in the setting table, executing S33; if the source IP address is not found in the setting table, S34 is executed.
S33: returning a response message carrying the result of the search, the source IP address and the source MAC address so that the second access network equipment suspends the ARP message sent by the receiving terminal within the set time length; sending a detection message carrying a source IP address and a first MAC address included in a first table item of the source IP address to first access network equipment corresponding to a first equipment identifier included in the first table item in a setting table, so that the first access network equipment initiates ARP detection based on the source IP address and the first MAC address, if an ARP response is not received, deleting a third ARP table item including the source IP address and the first MAC address from an ARP table of the first access network equipment, and returning a deletion notice carrying the source IP address and the first MAC address; deleting a first entry in the settings table based on the deletion advertisement.
If the source IP address is found in the setting table, it indicates that the query message corresponding to the source IP address has been received before, that is, the source IP address has been used before, on one hand, a response message carrying the result of the query message, the source IP address and the source MAC address, is returned, and the second access network device suspends receiving the ARP message sent by the terminal within a set time duration, on the other hand, a detection message carrying the source IP address and the MAC address (which may be defined as the first MAC address) included in the first entry is sent to the access network device (which may be defined as the first access network device) corresponding to the device identifier (which may be defined as the first device identifier) included in the entry (which may be defined as the first entry) where the source IP address is located in the setting table, so that the first access network device initiates ARP detection, specifically, the first MAC address may be used as the destination MAC address, and the source IP address is carried in the ARP detection message, therefore, ARP detection is realized, because a unicast message is sent, if a corresponding terminal receives the message, an ARP response is sent, if the first access network equipment does not receive the ARP response, the first access network equipment indicates that the corresponding terminal is offline, ARP table items (which can be defined as a third ARP table item) comprising a source IP address and a source MAC address are deleted from an ARP table, so that the ARP table items are timely deleted, a deletion notice carrying the source IP address and the source MAC address is returned, and the first selected aggregation network equipment deletes the first table item from a setting table, so that the accuracy of the setting table is ensured; if the first access network device receives the ARP response, it indicates that the corresponding terminal is still online, and then the first access network device keeps the current state, and does not need to perform any operation.
S34: and establishing a second table item comprising the source IP address, the source MAC address and a second equipment identifier of the second access network equipment in the setting table, returning a response message carrying the source IP address and the source MAC address which are not found, and enabling the second access network equipment to add a first ARP table item comprising the source IP address and the source MAC address in an ARP table of the second access network equipment.
If the source IP address is not found in the setting table, it is indicated that the source IP address is not used currently, on one hand, an entry (which may be defined as a first entry) including the source IP address, the source MAC address, and a device identifier (which may be defined as a second device identifier) of an access network device (which may be defined as a second access network device) that sends an inquiry packet is established in the setting table, and on the other hand, a response packet carrying the result that the source IP address and the source MAC address are not found is returned, and the second access network device adds an entry (which may be defined as a first ARP entry) including the source IP address and the source MAC address in its ARP table.
Optionally, the method further includes:
and if receiving a survival notice carrying the source IP address and the first MAC address sent by the first access network equipment after receiving the ARP response, reserving a first table entry in the setting table.
