Description

Method for configuring AP attribute and adjusting background noise and AP
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method for configuring an AP attribute and adjusting a noise floor, and an AP.
Background
AP: access Point, wireless Access Point. The system is used for deploying the hotspot area and providing WLAN wireless access service for the wireless terminal.
AC: access Controller, wireless Controller. For managing multiple APs.
BSS-Color: basic Service Set Coloring.
With the evolution of the WLAN technology, the user experience provided by the wireless communication system is better and better from the initial Wi-Fi1 (802.11 a) to the latest Wi-Fi6 (802.11 ax). BSS Coloring was originally a mechanism introduced in 802.11ah, and the original goal of this technology was to increase the system capacity of wireless networks in dense environments, increasing frequency reuse between BSSs. In 802.11ax, BSS sharing is a method for solving the problem of increasing the spatial reuse rate due to overlapping BSS, and reduces the MAC layer contention overhead due to overlapping BSS. The objective of BSS sharing is to improve spatial multiplexing without causing a reduction in the transmission rate of the physical layer between nodes due to interference between BSSs.
The BSS Coloring information is added in both the physical layer and the MAC layer. The preamble of the 802.11ax physical layer header contains a BSS Coloring information field of 6 bits, and the field information can identify how many 63 BSSs are. Similarly, the HE Element in the 802.11 management frame also contains BSS Coloring field information, which is an information field containing 6 bits and capable of identifying 63 BSSs.
After the development to Wifi6, the wireless transmission rate of the Wifi network is greatly improved to several Gbps, and the corresponding wired side flow is multiplied. In a relatively large network, an AC is required to manage hundreds or thousands of APs, which is a heavy burden. The evaluation and scheduling of the network environment are processed by the AC, the work of the AC is further aggravated, and the hardware and networking requirements of the AC are high
Meanwhile, the current technology mainly adjusts for a single AP, and lacks consideration for cooperative work among APs in an actual scene. The control and adjustment of the AP is also mainly considered from the transmit direction, and there is little optimization of the receive measurements.

The AP grouping optimization is realized by using the BSS organizing technology, the mutual interference of the APs in different areas is reduced, and the overall network experience is improved
The present disclosure provides a method for configuring an AP attribute, as shown in fig. 1, the method including:
s101, grouping APs to be distributed according to a preset rule, and acquiring a grouped AP group;
s102, the APs in each AP group are configured with basic service set coloring BSS-Color, so that the APs belonging to the same AP group have the same BSS-Color, and the APs in different AP groups have different BSS-colors.
In this embodiment, when building a network, a network maintainer groups APs according to a preset rule, where the preset rule may include: environmental rules, business rules, wherein the environmental rules can in turn be understood as being based on environmental location rules, for example, as floor rules or area rules.
In one embodiment, when step S101 is executed, the APs belonging to the same floor may be grouped according to the floors to which the APs belong, and the APs belonging to the same floor are divided into the same AP group, for example, a multi-story building, the APs of floor 1 are all divided into group a, the APs of floor 2 are all divided into group B, the APs of floor 3 are all divided into group C, and so on.
According to the above, step S102 is executed, for example: BSS ranking of all APs in group A is set to 1; BSS ranking of all APs in group B is set to 2; BSS Coloring for group C APs is all set to 3. The AP in each group uses the same BSS matching, and the BSS matching values are different among different groups
It can be seen from the above embodiments that, when the AP processes the service packet, the AP determines whether the service belongs to the AP or is interference information with respect to the AP according to BSS collision carried in the service packet.
The disclosed embodiment also provides a method for adjusting background noise, which is applied to a target AP in an AP group, as shown in fig. 2, where APs in the same AP group have the same basic service set coloring BSS-Color and APs in different AP groups have different BSS-colors, and the method includes:
s201, the target AP receives a wireless signal;
s202, judging whether the BSS-Color carried in the received wireless signal is consistent with the BSS-Color of the wireless signal;
and S203, if the signal strength of the wireless signal is inconsistent, adjusting the background noise threshold value of the target AP according to the signal strength of the wireless signal.
In this embodiment, the target AP is an AP in an AP group, where the establishment process of the AP group is described in the foregoing embodiments and is not described herein again.
In this embodiment, the wireless signals received by the target AP are wireless signals transmitted by the mobile terminal, and in an application scenario of a multi-story building, AP groups are grouped by floors, where all APs of floor 1 are classified into group a and all APs with BSS-Color of floor 1,2 are classified into group B and all APs with BSS-Color of floor 2,3 are classified into group C and BSS-Color is 3.
In one embodiment, the target AP is identified from the group B, and the target AP receives the wireless signal transmitted by the mobile terminal on the first floor.
Since the mobile terminal has already established a communication relationship with the APs in the group a, at this time, the target AP (some AP in the group B) receives the wireless signal sent by the mobile terminal, and the target AP determines that the wireless signal is an interference signal by comparing the BSS-Color1 carried in the wireless signal and the BSS-Color2 of the target AP itself, so as to execute step S203.
In step S203, the target AP may adjust the background noise threshold according to the signal strength of the wireless signal, for example, if the target AP determines that the signal strength of the wireless signal is-80 dbm, the background noise threshold may be adjusted to-80 dbm, or adjusted to a value higher than-80 dbm (e.g., -70 dbm), so that the target AP may filter the wireless signal.
In another embodiment, the target AP may further set a preset value, and when it is determined that the BSS-Color carried in the received wireless signal is inconsistent with the BSS-Color of the target AP, the preset value is used to determine whether the signal strength of the wireless signal exceeds the preset value.
If the number of the access points exceeds the preset threshold, the fact that the user is connected to the AP of other floors by mistake is indicated, and the use experience of the user is poor. At this time, the target AP may notify the corresponding AC, so that the AC controls the terminal that transmits the wireless signal to reconnect to the AP.
Specifically, the AC, upon receiving the notification, may cause the terminal to reconnect to the AP through weak signal reassociation or roaming navigation, wherein,
the weak signal re-association is that the AC forces the terminal to be offline, then the terminal tries to reconnect the wifi service, the signal strength of all aps existing in the surrounding environment is detected when the wifi service is connected, and then the ap with the strongest signal is automatically selected to be disconnected.
Roaming navigation allows the AC to greatly weaken the signal from the ap associated with the user terminal so that the terminal can choose to roam to a stronger ap when it detects a significantly stronger signal in the vicinity.
It can be seen from the above embodiments that, by grouping APs, setting the same BSS-Color for the APs in the same group, and setting different BSS-colors for the APs in different groups, the target AP can quickly detect the interference signal, and filter the interference signal by adjusting the bottom noise threshold.
Based on the same idea concept of the foregoing method embodiment, an embodiment of the present disclosure further provides an apparatus for configuring an AP attribute, including:
the first configuration unit is used for grouping the APs to be distributed according to a preset rule and acquiring the grouped AP groups;
and the second matching unit is used for configuring basic service set coloring BSS-Color for the APs in each AP group, so that the APs belonging to the same AP group have the same BSS-Color, and the APs in different AP groups have different BSS-colors.
The disclosed embodiment also provides an AP, where the APs belong to AP groups, and APs in the same AP group have the same basic service set coloring BSS-Color, and APs in different AP groups have different BSS-colors, and the AP includes:
the receiving module is used for receiving wireless signals;
the judging module is used for judging whether the BSS-Color carried in the received wireless signal is consistent with the BSS-Color of the wireless signal;
and the processing module is used for adjusting the background noise threshold value of the target AP according to the signal strength of the wireless signal when the inconsistency is judged.
