Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1a, fig. 1a is a flowchart of a handover method provided in an embodiment of the present invention, which is applied to a source network device, and as shown in fig. 1a, the method includes the following steps:
step 11, sending a handover request message to the target network device.
Specifically, when the source network device sends an HO request message to the target network device, the source network device may carry a cell identifier and a measurement result in the HO request message.
Step 22, receiving indication information sent by a target network device, where the indication information indicates whether the target network device adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to a terminal.
After receiving the HO request message, the target network equipment determines whether the target network equipment indicates whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for the terminal according to whether the target network equipment has the capability of adding the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell and whether the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell is successfully added. The indication information may be an HO command message, and may indicate whether the target network device adds a secondary base station or a secondary cell to the terminal by whether configuration information of the secondary node or the secondary cell is included in the HO command message.
In this embodiment, a source network device sends a handover request message to a target network device, and receives indication information sent by the target network device, where the indication information indicates whether the target network device adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to a terminal. The target network equipment sends the indication information to the source network equipment, so that the source network equipment can select the target network equipment for switching for the terminal according to the indication information, and the target network equipment with double connection configured for the terminal can be preferentially selected, so that the access performance of the terminal is improved.
The following describes a handover method provided in the present application by referring to more detailed examples.
Referring to fig. 1b, fig. 1b is a flowchart of a handover method provided in an embodiment of the present invention, which is applied to a source network device, and as shown in fig. 1b, the method includes the following steps:
step 101, selecting target network equipment according to a measurement result sent by a terminal supporting dual connectivity.
The terminal reports the measurement result to the source base station according to the measurement configuration of the source base station (i.e., the source network device), and the measurement result includes an eNB measurement result and a gNB measurement result.
And the source network equipment selects target network equipment for the terminal according to the measurement result sent by the terminal. The target network device may be one or more.
Step 102, sending a handover request message to the target network device.
When the source network device sends an HO request (handover request) message to the target network device, the HO request message may carry a cell identifier and a measurement result. This step corresponds to step 11.
Step 103, receiving indication information sent by a target network device, where the indication information indicates whether the target network device adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to a terminal.
In this step, after receiving the indication information sent by the target network device, the source network device may determine, according to the indication information, whether the target network device adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal, and specifically, may determine, according to the indication information sent by the target network device for the HO request message. For example, if the target network device includes the configuration information of the secondary node or the secondary cell in the HO command message returned to the source base station, the source network device may determine that the target network device has added the secondary node or the secondary cell to the terminal according to the received HO command message. If the target network device does not include the configuration information of the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell in the HO command message replied to the source base station, the source network device may determine that the target network device does not add the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell to the terminal according to the received HO command message.
And 104, selecting target network equipment for switching for the terminal according to the indication information.
Specifically, when selecting a target network device for handover for the terminal, the target network device may be selected for handover from the target network device according to a network device selection policy, where the network device selection policy is at least related to whether the target network device adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal.
The network device selection policy may be at least one of the following policies:
preferentially selecting a second network device as the target network device for handover relative to a first network device; and the combination of (a) and (b),
selecting the target network equipment for switching from second network equipment;
the first network device is a network device which does not add an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal in the target network device; and the second network equipment is the network equipment which adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal in the target network equipment.
Specifically, the target network device is divided into a first network device and a second network device according to whether an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell is added to the terminal, the first network device is a network device to which the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell is not added to the terminal, and the second network device is a network device to which the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell is added to the terminal.
In the two network device selection policies, for a first selection policy: and selecting the second network device with higher priority as the target network device relative to the first network device in the target network device. That is, when selecting according to the network device selection policy, selecting a network device with a higher priority in the target network device, so that when the target network device has a network device that has added an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for the terminal, and under the same other conditions, the source network device preferentially selects the network device that has added the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell for the terminal as the target network device, and ensures that the target network device supports dual connectivity, thereby improving the terminal access performance.
Under this policy, the second network device has a relatively high priority, and due to the influence of other parameters, even if the second network device exists in the target network device, the second network device is not necessarily selected as the target network device.
For the second selection strategy: and selecting the target network equipment for the terminal from second network equipment. That is to say, when there is a network device that has added an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for the terminal in the target network device, the target network device directly selects the target network device from the second network devices that have added an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for the terminal, and it is ensured that the target network device supports dual connectivity, so as to improve the terminal access performance.
Under such a policy, the second network device has the highest priority, and as long as the second network device exists in the target network devices, the second network device is necessarily selected as the target network device.
In this embodiment, a target network device is selected according to a measurement result sent by a terminal supporting dual connectivity; sending a switching request message to target network equipment; receiving indication information sent by target network equipment, wherein the indication information indicates whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for a terminal; and selecting target network equipment for switching for the terminal according to the indication information. In this way, when determining the target network device used for switching by the terminal, the source network device considers whether the target network device configures dual connectivity for the terminal, so that the target network device configured with dual connectivity for the terminal can be preferentially selected to improve the access performance of the terminal.
The indication information is configuration information of an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell in a handover command message, or the indication information is first information or second information in a handover request confirmation message, the first information is used for indicating whether the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell has been added to the terminal, and the second information is used for indicating identification information of the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell that has been added to the terminal.
That is, determining whether the target network device adds a secondary base station or a secondary cell to the terminal according to the indication information includes:
determining whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal according to a switching command message sent by the target network equipment;
alternatively, the first and second electrodes may be,
and determining whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal or not according to the switching request confirmation message sent by the target network equipment.
In the application, the target network device determines whether the target network device adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal in two ways. The first mode is as follows: and determining whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal according to the HO command message sent by the target network equipment. The second way is: and determining whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal according to the HO Reuqest Ack (handover request acknowledgement) message sent by the target network equipment.
At present, whether the target network device adds the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell configuration information to the terminal is only transmitted in the HO command message sent by the target network device to the source base station and is not transmitted on an interface between base stations, that is, when the target network device sends the HO command to the terminal, the HO command is transmitted to the terminal through the source base station, and the source base station does not know whether the target network device adds the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell to the terminal.
In the first method, the source network device opens the received HO command message, and checks whether the HO command message includes the configuration information of the secondary base station or the secondary cell, thereby determining whether the target network device has added the secondary base station or the secondary cell to the terminal. If the HO command message comprises the configuration information of the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell, determining that the target network equipment adds the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell to the terminal; and if the HO command message does not include the configuration information of the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell, determining that the target network equipment does not add the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell for the terminal.
In the second way, the target network device includes, in an HO request Ack (handover request acknowledge) message, indication information that a secondary base station or a secondary cell has been added for the terminal. And the source network equipment determines whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for the terminal according to the indication information in the switching request confirmation message sent by the target network equipment.
Specifically, the source network device determines whether the target network device adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal according to at least one of the following information included in the handover request acknowledgement message:
first information for indicating whether an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell has been added to the terminal;
and the second information is used for indicating the identification information of the secondary base station or the secondary cell added for the terminal.
The first information may include 1 bit (bit), a value of 1 indicates that the target network device has added an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal, and a value of 0 indicates that the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell is not added to the terminal.
And the second information is used for indicating the identification information of the secondary base station or the secondary cell added for the terminal. If the second information comprises identification information of the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell, indicating that the target network equipment adds the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell for the terminal; and if the second information does not include the identification information of the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell, indicating that the target network equipment does not add the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell to the terminal.
Wherein the first information is described by a newly added field of the handover request acknowledge message or by a terminal context retention indication bit in a terminal context retention indication information element.
For example, a value of "true" indicates that the target network device has an added secondary base station or a secondary cell and reserves an original secondary base station or an original secondary cell, through an indication of a UE context key indicator; if the value is false, indicating that the target network equipment has added the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell but not the original auxiliary base station or the original auxiliary cell, and if the value does not carry the keep gNB indication IE, indicating that the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell has been successfully added; the Information Element (IE) refers to an Information Element in a signaling message.
Or, through a keep gNB indication bit indication, a value of 1 indicates that the target network device has added an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell, and the original auxiliary base station or the original auxiliary cell is reserved; and if the value is 0, the target network equipment does not add the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell, and if the keep gNB indication IE is not carried, the target network equipment indicates that the auxiliary base station or the auxiliary cell is added but not the original auxiliary base station or the original auxiliary cell.
In the second way, the target network device may indicate whether the secondary base station or the secondary cell has been added to the terminal through whether the HO command message includes the configuration information of the secondary base station or the secondary cell, in addition to indicating whether the secondary base station or the secondary cell has been added to the terminal through the handover request confirm message.
In this case, the source network device determines whether the target network device has added the secondary base station or the secondary cell for the terminal by opening and checking the received HO command message (i.e., determining in the first manner).
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is another flowchart of a handover method provided in an embodiment of the present invention, and is applied to a target network device, as shown in fig. 2, the method includes the following steps:
step 201, receiving a handover request message sent by a source network device.
When the source network device sends a handover request message (i.e., an HO request message) to the target network device, the cell identifier and the measurement result may be carried in the HO request message. After receiving the HO request message, the target network equipment determines whether the HO command message replied to the source base station includes the configuration information of the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell according to whether the target network equipment has the capability of adding the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell and whether the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell is successfully added.
Step 202, sending indication information to the source network device, where the indication information indicates whether the target network device adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell to the terminal.
The target network equipment determines whether the indication information sent to the source network equipment comprises information of adding an auxiliary node or an auxiliary cell for the terminal or not according to whether the target network equipment has the capability of adding the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell or not and whether the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell is successfully added or not, so that the source network equipment can determine whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for the terminal or not according to the indication information, the source network equipment can select and configure double-connection target network equipment for the terminal preferentially, and the access performance of the terminal is improved.
In this embodiment, a handover request message sent by a source network device is received; and sending indication information to the source network equipment, wherein the indication information indicates whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for the terminal. The source network equipment can determine whether the target network equipment adds an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell for the terminal according to the received indication information, so that the source network equipment can preferentially select the target network equipment configured with double connections for the terminal when selecting the target network equipment for the terminal, and the access performance of the terminal is improved.
That is, the indication information may be transmitted through an HO command message, and whether the target network device adds the configuration information of the secondary base station or the secondary cell to the terminal is transmitted in the HO command message sent by the target network device to the source base station. The source network device may determine whether the target network device adds a secondary base station or a secondary cell to the terminal according to the HO command message.
If the target network device includes the configuration information of the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell in the HO command message replied to the source base station, the source network device may determine that the target network device has added the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell for the terminal according to the received HO command message. If the target network device does not include the configuration information of the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell in the HO command message replied to the source base station, the source network device may determine that the target network device does not add the auxiliary node or the auxiliary cell to the terminal according to the received HO command message.
The indication information may also be transmitted through a handover request acknowledgement message, where the handover request acknowledgement message includes at least one of the following information indicating whether to add a secondary base station or a secondary cell to the terminal:
first information for indicating whether an auxiliary base station or an auxiliary cell has been added to the terminal;
and the second information is used for indicating the identification information of the secondary base station or the secondary cell added for the terminal.
The target network device may indicate whether the secondary base station or the secondary cell has been added to the terminal through whether the HO command message includes the configuration information of the secondary base station or the secondary cell, in addition to indicating whether the secondary base station or the secondary cell has been added to the terminal through the handover request confirm message. That is, the indication information may be transmitted through the HO command message and the handover request confirmation message at the same time, so that the source network device may determine whether the target network device has added the secondary base station or the secondary cell for the terminal through the HO command message, or may determine whether the target network device has added the secondary base station or the secondary cell for the terminal through the handover request confirmation message.
