Disclosure of Invention
[ technical problem to be solved by the invention ]
However, in the above-described conventional technique, detailed viewing-related information cannot be acquired for each terminal device, and thus detailed analysis cannot be performed. Also, with respect to each terminal apparatus, a technique has been developed in which a provider of the terminal apparatus acquires a license from each subscriber and collects viewing-related information. However, when a video distribution company holds personal information of a subscriber, the viewing-related information is collected as new viewing-related personal information for the video distribution company, and therefore, the viewing-related information cannot be acquired from the management terminal apparatus side without permission of the subscriber.
Further, when a video distribution company acquires a license, it is very complicated to specify a device that can provide viewing-related information from a questionnaire or the like and acquire a license one by one, and it is difficult to acquire information from a plurality of subscribers.
In view of the above, an object of the present invention is to provide an information linkage system, a terminal device management server, and a subscriber management server capable of collecting viewing-related information of a terminal device corresponding to a subscriber who permits a video distribution company to acquire the viewing-related information, among a plurality of terminal devices having a display function.

The subscriber management-side permitted device ID list stores the subscriber ID and the device ID of the permitted television apparatus 200 (i.e., the permitted device ID) in association with each other. That is, the subscriber management-side permitted device ID list is a list of device IDs of television apparatuses 200 for which the subscriber has permitted the subscriber management server 5 to acquire viewing-related information. Hereinafter, the above-mentioned license may be simply referred to as "license".
The permitted device viewing related information DB is viewing related information of the television apparatus 200 corresponding to the device ID in the subscriber management side permitted device ID list. In the subscriber management side licensed device ID list, acquired personal information (subscriber ID) is associated with a licensed device ID and used as viewing-related personal information.
The acquisition unit 511 acquires various information from an external device. The acquisition unit 511 acquires the license information including the information indicating the license of the subscriber and the device ID of the television apparatus 200, for example, by the subscriber operating a predetermined internet site managed by the subscriber management server 5 using the smartphone 100. Also, the license information may also contain identification information of the subscriber of the television apparatus 200 (i.e., subscriber identification information (subscriber ID)).
The acquisition unit 511 performs the following processing, for example, when acquiring license information including information indicating that a subscriber has licensed and the device ID of the television apparatus 200. Here, fig. 9 is a diagram illustrating an example of a screen in the embodiment. The following description will be made with reference to fig. 9.
First, when the smartphone 100, which has captured predetermined information (for example, a two-dimensional code) displayed on the display unit 203 of the television apparatus 200, accesses a URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of a predetermined internet site managed by the subscriber management server 5, which is included in the predetermined information, the acquisition unit 511 acquires the device ID of the television apparatus 200 included in the predetermined information.
Fig. 9 (a) shows an example of a screen including predetermined information displayed on the display unit 203. On this screen, information for prompting registration of the television (television apparatus 200) with the video distribution company (subscriber management server 5) and the two-dimensional code 91 for registration are displayed. The registration two-dimensional code 91 is embedded with various information such as a URL (jump page) of a predetermined internet site managed by the subscriber management server 5 and a device ID of the television apparatus 200. The display content is created by the television apparatus 200.
When the smartphone 100 reads the two-dimensional code for registration 91 by the operation of the subscriber, it accesses a predetermined internet site and displays the screen shown in (b) of fig. 9. After that, when the smartphone 100 presses the button 92 displayed as "register tv" by the operation of the subscriber, it jumps to the screen shown in fig. 9 (c).
As shown in fig. 9 (c), the acquisition unit 511 displays a member ID (subscriber identification information) input screen 93, a password input screen 94, and a login button 95 on the smartphone 100 at a predetermined internet site. When the smartphone 100 inputs information to the input screen 93 and the input screen 94 by the operation of the subscriber and then presses the login button 95, the screen transitions to the screen shown in fig. 9 (d).
As shown in fig. 9 (d), the acquisition unit 511 displays the member ID96, the subscription information 97, the hyperlink 98 for the terms of use, and the button 99 for agreeing to the terms of use and completing registration (an input screen indicating approval) on the smartphone 100.
When the subscriber presses the button 99 after confirming the content of the usage terms using the hyperlink 98 (that is, the subscriber's identification information and permission approval are input through the screen), the acquisition unit 511 acquires the permission information including the information indicating the permission approval and the device ID.
The control unit 512 executes various controls. For example, when the acquisition unit 511 acquires the license information, the control unit 512 adds the device ID and the member ID (subscriber ID) included in the license information to the subscriber management-side license device ID list, and associates the device ID (license device ID) with the subscriber ID.
The transmission unit 513 transmits various information to an external device. The transmission unit 513 transmits the permitted device ID in the subscriber management-side permitted device ID list to the terminal apparatus management server 300, for example. For example, the license device ID may be transmitted periodically, may be transmitted at a set time, or may be transmitted when a predetermined condition is satisfied, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
Next, a first process in the information linkage system S according to the embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 10. Fig. 10 is a flowchart showing a first process in the information linkage system S of the embodiment. In the first process, the subscriber relationship server 5 performs updating of the subscriber management side license device ID list and the like. For convenience of explanation, when the subscriber operates the television apparatus 200 using the remote controller 4, the description of the operation using the remote controller 4 is omitted as appropriate.
First, in step S1, the processing unit 201 of the television device 200 displays a screen including the two-dimensional code for registration (screen in fig. 9 (a)) on the display unit 203 in accordance with a predetermined operation by the subscriber.
Next, in step S2, the smartphone 100 reads the two-dimensional code 91 for registration (inputs a captured image) using the imaging unit 107 in accordance with the operation of the operation unit 105 by the subscriber.
Next, in step S3, the control unit 101 of the smartphone 100 accesses a predetermined internet site, and in step S5, the screen (registration screen) shown in (b) of fig. 9 is displayed on the display unit 103. Then, in step S4, the subscriber management server 5 that has received the access of the smartphone 100 specifies the device ID embedded in the two-dimensional code 91 for registration.
Next, in step S6, when the control unit 101 of the smartphone 100 receives the operation inputs for registration of the subscriber (operation inputs on the screens of (a) to (d) in fig. 9), the process proceeds to step S7, and registration completion information is transmitted to the subscriber management server 5.
When the control unit 512 of the subscriber management server 5 receives the information, the process proceeds to step S8 to update the subscriber management-side permitted device ID list. That is, the device ID corresponding to the registration completion information and the subscriber ID are associated with each other and then added to the subscriber-management-side licensed device ID list.
Note that all the processing necessary for realizing the above-described permission using the resources of the subscriber management server 5 is not required, and a part of the processing may be performed by the terminal device management server 300, or all the processing may be performed by the terminal device management server 300. When the step of acquiring the license is performed with the portable terminal, the connection of the portable terminal is changed according to the implemented server.
The information of the device ID is not necessarily embedded in the two-dimensional code 91 for registration, but the device ID may be acquired on the subscriber management server 5 side at the stage when the subscriber completes the permission (the stage of step S8).
Next, a second process in the information linkage system S according to the embodiment will be described with reference to fig. 11. Fig. 11 is a flowchart showing a second process in the information linkage system S of the embodiment. In the second process, the subscriber management server 5 performs update of the license device view related information DB and the like.
First, in step S11, the transmission unit 513 of the subscriber management server 5 transmits the permitted device ID in the subscriber management-side permitted device ID list stored in the storage unit 52 to the terminal apparatus management server 300.
Next, in step S12, the control section 312 of the terminal apparatus management server 300 extracts viewing related information of the device ID (permitted device) corresponding to the permitted device ID from the viewing related information DB stored in the storage section 320.
Next, in step S13, the transmitting unit 313 of the terminal device management server 300 transmits the viewing-related information extracted in step S12 to the subscriber management server 5.
Next, in step S14, the control section 512 of the subscriber management server 5 updates the licensed device viewing-related information DB stored in the storage section 52 based on the received viewing-related information.
As described above, according to the information linkage system S of the present embodiment, the permitted device ID is transmitted from the subscriber management server 5 to the terminal device management server 300, and the terminal device management server 300 transmits the viewing-related information of only the permitted device to the subscriber management server 5 based on the permitted device ID. That is, the viewing-related information of the television apparatus 200 corresponding to the subscriber who has permitted the video distribution enterprise to acquire the viewing-related information among the plurality of television apparatuses 200 capable of viewing the video can be collected and provided to the subscriber management server 5 managed by the video distribution enterprise.
Therefore, the video distribution enterprise operating the subscriber management server 5 can acquire detailed viewing-related information for each television apparatus 200, thereby enabling detailed analysis of viewing tendencies and the like. In particular, when the video distribution enterprise is a pay television broadcasting enterprise or a video program provider, viewing-related information of subscribers becomes a more direct improvement material, and thus can be extremely effectively applied to improvement of video programs (improvement of program schedule (lineup) or arrangement), promotion and recommendation for each subscriber.
At this time, for example, the video distribution company may recommend a game-related video to a subscriber who frequently performs an input switching operation of the game machine, based on information related to operations in the viewing-related information.
Also, acquiring the viewing-related information of only the licensed device from the time of acquiring the subscriber license to the subscriber management server 5 can be realized by a legitimate series of processes, and therefore, it is possible to acquire licenses from many users and acquire the viewing-related information corresponding to the licensed device at low cost.
In the present embodiment, the description has been given for the video distribution company, but the viewing-related information may be used by a research company, an advertising company, or the like. In a research company, by acquiring viewing-related information of a research panel, purchasing behavior, living habits, and viewing behavior can be analyzed in association with each other. In addition, the present invention can be used in an advertising company for providing advertisements in accordance with viewing behaviors.
The program executed by each device (terminal device management server 300, subscriber management server 5, television device 200, smartphone 100) according to the present embodiment may be stored in a computer-readable storage medium such as a CD (Compact Disc) -ROM (Read Only Memory), a Floppy Disk (FD), a CD-R (Recordable), or a DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) in an installable format or an executable format. The program may be provided or distributed via a network such as the internet.
Although several embodiments of the present application have been described above, these embodiments are merely examples, and are not intended to limit the scope of the present application. The innovative embodiments can be implemented in other various forms, and various omissions, substitutions, and changes can be made without departing from the spirit of the present application. These embodiments and modifications thereof are within the scope and spirit of the present application, and are also included in the invention described in the claims and the equivalent scope thereof.
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the subscriber performs the processing regarding the permission using the smartphone 100, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the display, the operation, and the like using the screen of the smartphone 100 may be realized by the display, the operation, and the like using the screen of the television apparatus 200. Also, a part of the steps may be implemented with the screen of the television apparatus 200, and another part may be implemented with the screen of the smartphone 100.
In the above-described embodiment, the case where the terminal device management server 300 is a single server has been described for convenience of description, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the server that manages the device ID list and the server that manages the viewing-related information DB of fig. 4 may also be separately implemented in software or in hardware, respectively.
In the above embodiment, the case where the subscriber management server 5 is one server has been described, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the server for managing the subscriber information DB, the server for managing the subscriber management-side permitted device ID list, and the server for managing the permitted device viewing-related information DB of fig. 5 may be separately implemented in software or hardware, respectively.
The user interface for acquiring a license shown in fig. 9 may be entirely operated on the subscriber management server 5 side, entirely operated on the terminal device management server 300 side, or may share some of the functions of both. For example, when the subscriber management server 5 displays the usage terms and the terminal device management server 300 performs only the final registration procedure, the terminal device management server 300 can create a list of the permitted device IDs.
The storage unit 320 of the terminal device management server 300 may or may not store the terminal management-side permitted device ID list. For example, when data (viewing-related information) is collectively provided from the terminal device management server 300 to the subscriber management server 5 for a certain period of time, the terminal device management server 300 only has to extract the viewing-related information based on the permitted device ID received from the subscriber management server 5 and transmit the viewing-related information to the subscriber management server 5, and therefore, in this case, the storage unit 320 of the terminal device management server 300 does not need to continuously store the permitted device ID. On the other hand, when the terminal device management server 300 provides new viewing-related information to the subscriber management server 5 each time it receives the new viewing-related information, the storage unit 320 of the terminal device management server 300 needs to continuously store the permitted apparatus ID.
Further, the storage unit 320 of the terminal device management server 300 may store a list of IDs of devices managed by the terminal device management server 300. The device ID list includes device IDs for which permission to provide viewing-related information has not been obtained. The device ID list can be used for verification of the association ID transmitted from the video distribution side (subscriber management server 5) by storing it. Alternatively, when the terminal management side (terminal apparatus management server 300) releases the permission to provide the viewing related information, the device ID may be removed from the device ID list, and the permitted device viewing related information may be created after removing the device ID from the permitted device ID from the subscriber management server 5.
In addition, when the subscriber management server 5 needs to distinguish the television apparatuses 200 from each other for one subscription to a plurality of television apparatuses 200, the permitted device IDs of the television apparatuses 200 may be associated with one subscriber ID in the subscriber management-side permitted device ID list of fig. 7.
