Fig. 1 schematically shows an application scenario of video recommendation according to an embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 1, an application scenario 100 of the embodiment of the present application includes, for example, an electronic device 110. The electronic device 110 includes, but is not limited to, a mobile phone and a computer.
In an embodiment of the present application, a current user may view a video through the electronic device 110. For example, when the current user watches the current video 111, the current user may be recommended at least one of the updated videos of the author of which the current user is interested. The manner in which the target video is recommended for the current user includes displaying a video identifier 112 of the target video, and the video identifier 112 may include, but is not limited to, a video title, a video cover, and the like of the target video.
After displaying the video identifier 112 of the target video, the current user can determine whether the target video is a video desired to be viewed through the video identifier 112, and if so, the current user can confirm to play the target video by clicking the video identifier 112.
An embodiment of the present application provides a video recommendation method, and a video recommendation method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present application is described below with reference to fig. 2 to 10 in conjunction with an application scenario of fig. 1.
Fig. 2 schematically shows a flow chart of a video recommendation method according to an embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 2, the video recommendation method 200 according to the embodiment of the present application may include, for example, operations S201 to S203.
In operation S201, in a case that a current user watches a current video, a video identifier of a target video is recommended for the current user, where the target video includes an updated video uploaded by an author focused on by the current user.
In operation S202, in a case where an operation performed by the current user with respect to the video identifier satisfies a preset operation condition, a preview video corresponding to the video identifier is displayed, the preview video including a plurality of frames of images determined from the target video.
In operation S203, a confirmation operation performed by the current user with respect to the preview video is received, and the target video is played for the current user based on the confirmation operation.
In an embodiment of the application, a current user may view a video through an electronic device, the current video being displayed, for example, on a display unit of the electronic device. When the current user watches the current video, if the author concerned by the current user uploads the update video, the target video in the update video can be recommended to the current user. The manner of recommending the target video for the current user may include displaying a video identification of the target video on the display unit. The video identification may include at least one of a text, a picture, and an icon corresponding to the target video.
The current operations performed by the user for video identification include, for example, a single-click operation, a double-click operation, a long-press operation, and the like. The embodiment of the application judges whether the executed operation meets the preset operation condition, and displays the preview video if the preset operation condition is met, wherein the preview video is obtained based on the target video, and the preview video is part of the target video, and more specifically comprises a plurality of frames of images in the target video.
After the preview video is displayed, if the current user performs a confirmation operation on the preview video, which indicates that the target video is the video that the current user wants to watch, the target video may be played for the current user at this time. The confirmation operation may include, but is not limited to, a single-click operation, a double-click operation, and a long-press operation.
According to the technical scheme of the embodiment of the application, when the video is recommended for the user, the video identification of the target video can be recommended for the user, and the preview video corresponding to the video identification is recommended for the user based on the interactive behavior executed by the user aiming at the video identification. If the preview video is recommended directly, it is difficult for the current user to confirm the target video corresponding to the preview video, and particularly, in the case of recommending a plurality of preview videos in sequence, it is difficult for the current user to distinguish the plurality of preview videos. Therefore, according to the embodiment of the application, the video identification is recommended firstly, the user can determine the corresponding target video through the video tag, and then the preview video is indicated to be played according to the interactive operation of the current user for the video identification, so that the current user can further determine whether the target video is the video which the current user wants to watch through the preview video, and if so, the confirmation is executed for the preview video to indicate to play the target video, thereby improving the accuracy of video recommendation, enabling the recommended target video to be the video which the current user wants to watch, and avoiding the flow waste caused by the fact that the current user watches the video which the current user does not want to watch. In addition, the display of the video identifier or the preview video does not need to stop the playing of the current video, so that the interruption of the playing of the current video for searching the updated video which is desired to be watched by the current user is avoided, and the use experience of the user is improved.
Fig. 3 schematically shows a schematic diagram of a video recommendation method according to an embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 3, the display unit of the electronic device includes, for example, a first display region 310 and a second display region 320, and the first display region 310 is different from the second display region 320. For example, the first display region 310 and the second display region 320 may not overlap each other, or the first display region 310 and the second display region 320 may partially overlap each other. The current video 310A is displayed, for example, in the first display area 310 and the video identification 320A of the target video is displayed, for example, in the second display area 320. When the stay time length exceeds the preset stay time length after the current user performs a click operation (long press operation) on the video identifier 320A, it indicates that the operation performed by the current user satisfies the preset operation condition, and at this time, the preview video 320B is displayed in the second display area 320.
After the current user watches the preview video 320B, it is determined that the target video 310B corresponding to the preview video 320B is a video that the user wants to watch, the user can click the preview video 320B to determine to play the target video 310B, and then the electronic device will play the target video 310B in the first display area 310, at this time, the second display area 320 may continue to display the video identifier of the preview video 320B or other updated videos.
In the embodiment of the application, the display is performed through the first display area and the second display area different from the first display area, so that when the target video is recommended for the current user, the playing of the current video does not need to be interrupted, and the viewing experience is improved. In addition, the embodiment of the application can recommend the preview video based on the stay time of the current user for executing the click operation on the video identification, so that the video is recommended based on the interaction of the user to improve the accuracy of video recommendation.
Fig. 4 schematically shows a flow chart of a video recommendation method according to another embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 4, the video recommendation method 200 according to the embodiment of the present application may include, for example, operations S401 to S404.
In operation S401, in a case where the current user watches the current video, a video identifier of the target video is recommended for the current user.
In operation S402, in a case where an operation performed by the current user with respect to the video identifier satisfies a preset operation condition, a preview video corresponding to the video identifier is displayed.
In operation S403, a confirmation operation performed by the current user with respect to the preview video is received, and the target video is played for the current user based on the confirmation operation.
In operation S404, a preview video is generated based on the target video. The target video includes, for example, a large number of image frames, and the preview video is generated by extracting a part of the image frames from the target video and based on the extracted multi-frame images.
The operation S404 may be executed before the operation S401, or after the operation S401 and before the operation S402, and the execution sequence of each operation is not specifically limited in the embodiment of the present application.
In the embodiment of the application, the preview video with the shorter time length can be extracted from the target video with the longer time length, so that the preview video is played for the current user before the target video is played, the current user can conveniently and quickly confirm whether the target video is the video which the current user wants to watch based on the preview video, and the accuracy of video recommendation is improved.
A process of generating a preview video based on a target video will be described below with reference to fig. 5 to 7.
Fig. 5 schematically shows a schematic diagram of generating a preview video according to an embodiment of the present application.
As shown in FIG. 5, the target video 510 includes, for example, n frames of images P1、P2、P3、......、PnAnd n is an integer greater than 1.
When the author uploads the target video 510, the author may mark the multi-frame image Q in the target video 5101、Q2、Q3、......、QmM is an integer greater than 1 and less than n, and a marked multi-frame image Q1、Q2、Q3、......、QmSuch as important frame images identified for the author. Then, it is possible to perform processing based on the multi-frame image Q1、Q2、Q3、......、Qm Generating preview video 520, e.g. from a plurality of frames of image Q1、Q2、Q3、......、QmThe combination results in a preview video 520.
According to the embodiment of the application, the preview video can be generated according to the designation of the author, so that the main content of the target video can be embodied to a greater extent by the preview video, and the current user can quickly know the content of the target video based on the preview video.
Fig. 6 schematically shows a schematic diagram of generating a preview video according to another embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 6, the target video 610 includes, for example, an n _1 frame image P1’、P2’、P3’、......、Pn1', n _1 is an integer greater than 1.
After the author uploads the target video 610, the target video 610 may be viewed by multiple users. When a plurality of users view the target video 610, an interactive behavior may be performed on the target video 610, for example, when the users view a highlight, the users may perform an interactive operation, such as a comment operation or a comment operation, on a frame image corresponding to the highlight.
In generating preview video 620, the number of comments in target video 610 may be determined based on comment operations or like operations of a plurality of historical users with respect to target video 610Multiframe image Q with large amount and/or number of praise1’、Q2’、Q3’、......、Qm_1', m _1 is an integer greater than 1 and less than n _ 1. And then based on a plurality of frame images Q1’、Q2’、Q3’、......、Qm_1' Generation of preview video 620, e.g. of multiple frames of image Q1’、Q2’、Q3’、......、Qm_1' combining results in preview video 620.
According to the embodiment of the application, the preview video can be generated according to the interactive behaviors of the historical users, so that the highlight part of the target video can be embodied to a greater extent by the preview video, and the current user can quickly know whether the target video is a video in which the current user is interested or not based on the preview video.
Fig. 7 schematically shows a schematic diagram of generating a preview video according to another embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 7, the target video 710 includes, for example, an n _2 frame image P1”、P2”、P3”、......、Pn_2", n _2 is an integer greater than 1.
After the author uploads the target video 710, multiple frames of images Q can be extracted from the target video 710 at preset time intervals1”、Q2”、Q3”、......、Qm_2", m _2 is an integer greater than 1 and less than n _2, and the preset time interval is, for example, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and so on. And then based on a plurality of frame images Q1”、Q2”、Q3”、......、Qm_2"generating preview video 720, e.g., multiple frames of image Q1”、Q2”、Q3”、......、Qm_2The "combine results in preview video 720.
Multiframe image Q1”、Q2”、Q3”、......、Qm_2The interval between the time instants of any two adjacent frames in "is the same. With frame image Q1”、Q2”、Q3"for example, frame image Q1”、Q2”、Q3"time instants in the target video are, for example, 1: 00, 6: 00, 11: 00, respectively, and are adjacentTwo-frame image Q1、Q2Is 5 minutes, and two adjacent frames of the image Q2”、Q3The interval between the timings of "was 5 minutes.
According to the embodiment of the application, the preview video can be generated by uniformly extracting the multi-frame images from the target video according to the preset time interval, so that the preview video can uniformly contain the content in the target video, and a current user can quickly know the video content of the target video based on the preview video.
According to embodiments of the present application, multiple types of preview videos may be generated based on a variety of ways. The plurality of types of preview video include, for example, at least one of a first type of preview video, a second type of preview video, and a third type of preview video. The first type preview video is generated by appointing multi-frame images from a target video according to an author, the second type preview video is generated according to the interactive behaviors of historical users aiming at the multi-frame images in the target video, and the third type preview video is generated by extracting the multi-frame images from the target video according to a preset time interval.
In one example, different types of preview videos may have different priorities, for example. Embodiments of the present application may display at least one of the first type preview video, the second type preview video, and the third type preview video based on the priority.
For example, a first type of preview video has a first priority, a second type of preview video has a second priority lower than the first priority, and a third type of preview video has a third priority lower than the second priority. For the same target video, the preview video corresponding to the target video can comprise a first type preview video, a second type preview video and a third type preview video, when a current user presses a video identifier for a long time, the first type preview video corresponding to the video identifier is preferentially recommended for the current user, if the first type preview video does not exist, the second type preview video can be recommended, and if the second type preview video does not exist, the third type preview video can be recommended. And recommending the preview video for the user based on the priority, so that the current user can know important content or wonderful content in the target video based on the recommended preview video as much as possible.
In another example, different types of preview videos may be purposefully recommended according to the viewing habits of the current user.
For example, in the case that the historical viewing record of the current user represents that the current user pays attention to the highlight content in the video, when the current user presses the video identifier for a long time, at least one of the first type preview video and the second type preview video is displayed for the current user. That is, if the current user learns to inertially fast forward to select the highlight content in the video while watching the video, it indicates that the current user usually focuses more on the highlight portion in the video, and at this time, when the current user presses the video identifier for a long time, the current user may be recommended a first type preview video with important image frames generated according to the author designation or a second type preview video with highlight image frames generated according to the interactive behavior of the historical user.
Or, under the condition that the historical watching record of the current user represents that the current user pays attention to all contents in the video, when the current user presses the video identifier for a long time, displaying the third type preview video for the current user. That is, if the current user does not usually perform a fast forward operation but watches videos from beginning to end when watching the videos, indicating that the current user usually pays more attention to the whole content in the videos, a third type preview video with more uniform distribution of multiple frames of images generated by extracting image frames in a target video according to a preset time interval may be recommended for the current user.
According to the embodiment of the application, different types of preview videos are recommended for the user in a targeted manner according to the watching habits of the current user, so that the recommended preview videos meet the requirements of the user, and the watching experience of the user is improved.
According to the embodiment of the application, after the author concerned by the current user uploads at least one update video, the target video interested by the current user can be determined from the at least one update video, and the video identification of the target video is recommended to the current user.
In one example, a video category of a current video is first determined, the video type including, for example, a game category, a shopping category, a movie category, and the like. Then, a target video is determined from the at least one updated video based on the video category of the current video, the video category of the target video is consistent with the video category of the current video, and then a video identifier of the target video is recommended for the current user.
Fig. 8 schematically shows a schematic diagram of determining a target video according to an embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 8, the video category of the current video 810 is, for example, a game category. At least one update video uploaded by the author concerned by the current user includes, for example, a plurality of categories of update videos, such as update video 821, update video 822, and update video 823. The video categories of update video 821, update video 822, and update video 823 are, for example, a game category, a shopping category, and a movie category, respectively. The target video determined from update video 821, update video 822, and update video 823 is, for example, update video 821 whose video category is a game category, and video identification 821A of update video 821 is displayed for the current user next.
In the embodiment of the application, the target video is determined based on the video category of the current video, so that the determined target video is the video which the current user wants to watch, and therefore the watching requirement of the current user is met.
In another example, the video category and the viewing duration of the current video are first determined, and the viewing duration is the duration for which the current user has viewed the current video. And under the condition that the watching time length exceeds the preset watching time length, determining a target video from at least one updated video uploaded by an author concerned by the current user, wherein the video category of the target video is consistent with that of the current video. And then recommending the video identification of the target video for the current user.
Fig. 9 schematically shows a schematic diagram of determining a target video according to another embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 9, the video category of the current video 910 is, for example, a game category. At least one update video uploaded by the author concerned by the current user includes, for example, multiple categories of update videos, such as an update video 921, an update video 922, and an update video 923. The video categories of the update video 921, the update video 922, and the update video 923 are, for example, a game category, a shopping category, and a movie category. The watched time length of the current user watching the current video 910 is, for example, the time length 910A, when the watching time length 910A exceeds the preset watching time length, it indicates that the current user is interested in the current video 910, at this time, the updated video 921 whose video category is the game category may be determined from the updated video 921, the updated video 922, and the updated video 923 to be the target video, and then the video identifier 921A of the updated video 921 is displayed for the current user. For example, if the preset viewing time length is 5 minutes, and the current viewing time length 910A is 10 minutes, the current viewing time length 910A exceeds the preset viewing time length.
In the embodiment of the application, the target video is determined based on the video category and the watching duration of the current video, so that the determined target video is a video which is interested by the current user, and the watching requirement of the current user is met.
In another example, a current author of a current video is determined, a target video is determined from at least one updated video uploaded by an author concerned by a current user, the author of the target video is consistent with the current author, and then a video identifier of the target video is recommended for the current user.
