Medium: refers to an entity that can certify, record, and verify the content of an account. Such as debit cards, periodic deposit slips, bankbooks, identification cards, and the like.
SOA (service-oriented architecture): service oriented architecture, which is a component model that ties different functional units of an application (called services) through well-defined interfaces and contracts between these services. The interface is defined in a neutral manner and should be independent of the hardware platform, operating system and programming language in which the service is implemented. This allows services built into various such systems to interact in a uniform and versatile manner.
