Description

Playlist generation system and method
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a playlist generation system and method, and more particularly, to a playlist generation system and method that customizes a playlist based on user preferences.
Background
Nowadays, it is the most common way to relax drivers to listen to music, radio programs, and other audio during driving. The driver can listen to music or radio programs by directly using a music application or a radio application in the vehicle system. However, the conventional audio listening method has the following inconveniences:
1. when the driver accesses different types of media resources, different vehicle-mounted applications need to be opened, and after the vehicle-mounted applications are opened, the driver needs to manually search and find the preferred media resources. This increases the operational burden on the driver and constitutes a driving safety hazard.
2. The radio program in the radio application is time-efficient, and the driver can not listen again without listening within a specific playing time, so that the driver easily misses the radio program to be listened to. And there may be a time conflict between multiple radio programs, and the driver can only select one of them to listen to, which may also result in the driver missing the desired radio program.
Therefore, there is a need for improvements in the current manner of listening to in-vehicle audio to reduce the operational burden on the driver and to improve the in-vehicle audio listening experience for the driver.

The accessible playback content may include one or more of the music, programs, and audio files described above. That is, the user can listen to the broadcast contents such as music, radio programs, network programs, etc. from the respective in-vehicle applications included in the playlist by clicking a broadcast application (not shown) based on the present application with one touch. The playback application based on the present application may be provided to the user for selective use similar to other in-vehicle applications.
The playlist generation module 114 may be configured to apply the filtering rules. In some embodiments, the filtering rule may include selecting, as the candidate broadcast content, broadcast content under a tag having a frequency satisfying a predetermined condition in each tag category. In this embodiment, the tag categories may include artist, genre, year, anchor, performer, moderator, guest, and so forth, as described above. And each tag category further includes one or more tags, for example, the artist tag category may further include zhang san, lie siq, etc. Since the accessible playback content may have tags, such as artist zhang san, anchor wang, or host grandson five, each tag may still further include one or more accessible playback content items, such as one or more musical compositions under zhang san. The screening rule can select the playing content under the label with the frequency meeting the preset condition in each label category as the candidate playing content. For example, the predetermined condition may be: (1) tags whose frequency of occurrence in each tag category is the first predetermined rank, for example, tags whose frequency of occurrence in each tag category is ranked from high to low by the first two names, such as when the frequency of occurrence of zhang and lie is ranked by the first two names in the artist tag category, the play content under zhang and lie in the artist tag category may be selected as the candidate play content, and further, tags whose frequency of occurrence in each tag category is ranked from high to low by the first three names, the first five names, or other predetermined ranks may be selected; or (2) tags in each tag category whose frequency of occurrence exceeds a predetermined frequency, for example, tags in each tag category whose frequency of occurrence exceeds three, such as, when the frequency of occurrence of three in the artist tag category is five, the play content of three in the artist tag category may be selected as the candidate play content, and tags in each tag category whose frequency of occurrence exceeds two, five, or another predetermined frequency may also be selected. The predetermined condition may be the same or different for each label category.
In other embodiments, the filtering rule may be set to take all the broadcast contents acquired by the resource acquisition module 113 as candidate broadcast contents, that is, select the broadcast contents under all the tags in each tag category as candidate broadcast contents.
The playlist generation module 114 may be further configured to apply a ranking rule to rank the candidate playback content. Wherein the ordering rule may be selected from one of the following group: (1) sequencing the candidate playing contents from high to low according to the occurrence frequency of the labels; and (2) randomly ordering the candidate playing contents.
Wherein, for the sort rule (1), there may be one or more accessible playable contents under each tag since the accessible playable contents may have tags, e.g., artist zhang san, anchor wang one, or host grandson five. The sorting rule may sequentially sort the accessible playable contents under each tag from high to low according to the occurrence frequency of the tags, thereby generating a playlist. For example, when artist zhangsan appears most frequently, then the top accessible playable content in the generated playlist is one or more musical pieces by artist zhangsan, followed by one or more accessible playable contents under the label with the second-most frequency of appearance, and so on. In some embodiments, the one or more accessible playable contents under each tag may be randomly arranged.
As shown in FIG. 1, the playlist generation system 110 may also include a control module 115. The control module 115 may be configured to: the entries in the playlist are re-screened and re-ordered based on the current time. In particular, the control module 115 may include a clock circuit for determining the current time. The control module 115 may rescreen each entry in the playlist according to the current time fed back by the clock circuit. For example, when the current time is afternoon, the control module 115 may delete entry information of a station program whose starting time is morning in the playlist, delete entry information of an audio file 131 having a tag of the morning program class in the playlist, and the like. Further, the control module 115 may reorder the entries in the playlist according to the current time fed back by the clock circuit. For example, when the current time is morning, the control module 115 may adjust the entry information for the audio file 131 in the playlist with the tags of the morning program class forward to an earlier position in the playlist, such as to the first, second, or other position in the playlist. Similarly, when the current location of the vehicle is within zone a, the control module 115 may delete entry information for radio programs in the playlist that are not zone a, delete entry information for audio files 131 in the playlist that have a non-zone a tag, and so on. Further, the control module 115 may also reorder the entries in the playlist according to the current position of the vehicle as fed back by the navigation application. For example, when the current location of the vehicle is within zone a, the control module 115 may adjust the entry information for the audio file 131 with the zone a tag in the playlist forward to a forward position of the playlist, such as to the first, second, or other position in the playlist. The above-mentioned re-screening and re-ordering may be performed when the user opens the application based on the present application, and may also be performed each time the playlist ends the currently played content.

In yet another embodiment, the entry information may include an access path to the audio file 131 on the memory 130. That is, the entry information may include information pointing to a storage address in the memory 130 where a specific play content is stored, and the specific play content may be, for example, a music audio file, a vocal book audio file, or the like. The control module 115 may be further configured to address according to the information of the storage address and cause the in-vehicle speaker 150 to play the corresponding playback content.
Additionally, the control module 115 may be further configured to: each time the user opens an application based on the present application, the in-vehicle speaker 150 is caused to play from the first entry of the playlist. Alternatively, the control module 115 may be further configured to: each time the user opens an application based on the present application, the in-vehicle speaker 142 is caused to play from the last break in the playlist. Alternatively, the control module 115 may be further configured to: each time the user opens an application based on the present application, the user is asked whether to start playing from the first entry of the playlist or from the previous interruption.
The process 200 of the playlist generation system 110 acquiring the network resources of the station programs will be illustratively described below in conjunction with fig. 2.
At step 202, station program characteristic information for station program A is collected. In some embodiments, collection module 111 may collect, from station application 121b, a broadcast band, a broadcast time, a start time, an end time, a title of a station program, or other station program characteristic information associated with the station program being broadcast.
At step 204, a station program label for station program a is obtained. In some embodiments, processing module 112 may send an analysis request to an analysis application and then receive analysis results from the analysis application. The analysis request may include the broadcast frequency band of station program a and the name of station program a collected by the collection module 111, and the analysis result may include a station program label of station program a, such as a name of a main broadcaster, a name of a performer, and the like.
At step 206, it is determined whether there are network resources for station a? In some embodiments, the resource acquisition module 113 may send a resource acquisition request to the web search application 126. The resource obtaining request may include the name of the radio program a collected by the collection module 111, and may further include a playing frequency band and a playing time of the radio program a. The network search application 126 feeds back the search result of whether the network resource of the station program a exists to the resource acquisition module 113. Where the network resource may be an audio file available for download. When the search feedback result is that the network resource of station program a exists, the process proceeds to step 208.
At step 208, determine if there are related network resources? In some embodiments, the resource acquisition module 113 may again send a resource acquisition request to the web search application 126. The resource acquisition request may include a station program label. The web search application 126 feeds back the search result of whether there is a web resource having the same station program label to the resource acquisition module 113. As described above in connection with fig. 1, the station program label may be, for example, a name of the anchor, a name of the performer, etc. As also described in step 206 of fig. 2, the network resource may be an audio file available for download. When the search feedback results in the presence of a network resource having the same station program label, i.e., it is determined that a related network resource exists, the process proceeds to step 209.
At step 209, the network resources and associated network resources for station a are downloaded. In some embodiments, resource acquisition module 113 may send a network resource download request to web search application 126, and acquire and store the audio content of station a and the audio content associated with station a in memory 130 via web search application 126.
Returning to step 208, when the search feedback results in the absence of a network resource having the same station program label, i.e., it is determined that no related network resource exists, the process proceeds to step 210.
At step 210, only the network resources for station a are downloaded. In some embodiments, resource acquisition module 113 may send a network resource download request to web search application 126, and download the network resource of station a via web search application 126 and store it in memory 130.
Returning to step 206, when the search feedback results in the absence of a network resource for station program a, the process proceeds to step 207.
At step 207, entry information for station program a is generated. In some embodiments, the playlist generating module 114 may directly generate entry information of the playlist based on a search feedback result of a network resource where the station program a does not exist, where the entry information may include a name of the station program a, an ID of the station application 121b that plays the station program a, a playing frequency band and a playing start time of the station program a, and station program playing information of a geographical area to which a corresponding station belongs, and insert the entry information into a specified position in the current playlist generated by the filtering/sorting. Wherein the specified location causes control module 115 to turn on station application 121b and tune station application 121b to the broadcast frequency band when the start-of-broadcast time is reached or approached, thereby causing car speaker 150 to broadcast station program a.
In some other embodiments, resource acquisition module 113 may further send a station program recording request to station application 121b, record station program a via station application 121b, and store recorded audio file 131 in memory 130.
At step 212, filter/sort. In some embodiments, since the network resource, i.e., audio file 131, downloaded and stored in memory 130 at step 209 or step 210 has station tags, playlist generation module 114 may filter/sort the audio files 131 downloaded and stored in memory 130 according to filtering/sorting rules to generate a playlist as described in connection with fig. 1. Audio files recorded by station application 121b may also be filtered/sorted together.
In step 206 of fig. 2 described above, when the search feedback results in the absence of a network resource for station program a, process 200 proceeds to step 207. However, in other embodiments, when the search feedback result indicates that there is no network resource of the station a, in addition to recording the station a or generating entry information of the station a to broadcast the station a as described above in connection with step 207 of fig. 2, it may further determine whether there is a related network resource as described in step 208 of fig. 2. If yes, the network resource associated with program a is downloaded and stored in memory 130.
How to form a playlist including music, radio programs, network programs, and/or audio files is described in detail above in conjunction with fig. 1 and 2. In other embodiments, the resource obtaining module 113 may further include an additional information obtaining module (shown) for obtaining additional information, where the additional information obtaining module includes at least one of a point of interest information obtaining module, a schedule obtaining module, and a weather condition obtaining module. When the user is using an application based on the present application, the additional information acquisition module may acquire additional information such as POI information, schedule information, or weather condition information, which may then be inserted into the playlist.
How to insert point-of-interest information (hereinafter referred to as "POI information") into a playlist being played will be exemplified below with reference to fig. 3. It should be understood that the POI information described herein may include other information in addition to the four aspects of the name, category, coordinates, classification of the POI. For example, when the POI is a shop, the POI information may be preferential information of the shop.
At step 302, navigation information is collected. In one embodiment, the collection module 111 may collect navigation information from the navigation application 123. The navigation information may include the vehicle geographic location, the POI, which may include coordinate information as described in connection with FIG. 1. It should be appreciated that during the process 300, the step 302 may be performed at all times, i.e., navigation information is collected at all times.
At step 304, determine if is POI address close? In one embodiment, the processing module 112 may determine whether the geographic location of the vehicle is within a predetermined distance range (e.g., 500 meters, 1000 meters, or other predetermined distance range) of a POI coordinate based on the collected geographic location of the vehicle and the POI coordinate. When it is determined that the vehicle geographic location is not within the predetermined distance range of the POI coordinates, the process loops to step 304 until it is determined that the vehicle geographic location is within the predetermined distance range of the POI coordinates. At this point, process 300 proceeds to step 306.
At step 306, determine if stop or low speed travel? In one embodiment, the processing module 112 may further analyze whether the vehicle is stopped or traveling at a low speed according to a plurality of vehicle geographic locations and times collected previously. The low speed driving may be characterized by the highest speed limit of the current driving section, for example, when the speed is lower than 0.3 times, or 0.2 times or other speed of the highest speed limit of the current driving section, it may be determined that the vehicle is in low speed driving. In addition, low-speed running can be characterized by a specific value of the speed, for example, when the speed is lower than 30 kilometers per hour, it can be judged that the vehicle is running at low speed. When it is determined that the vehicle is not stopped or is traveling at a low speed, the process returns to step 304, and it is determined again whether the POI address is close. Until it is determined that the vehicle is approaching the POI address and it is determined that the vehicle is stopped or traveling at low speed, the process 300 proceeds to step 308.
At step 308, POI information is obtained. In one embodiment, the resource acquisition module 113 may include a POI information acquisition module, and the POI information acquisition module may send a POI information acquisition request to the network search application 126 to acquire POI information of the POI. For example, when the POI is a shop, the network search application 126 may further access a review website such as public review to obtain the POI information such as whether the shop is currently open or not, and merchant discount information according to the POI information obtaining request sent by the resource obtaining module 113.
At step 310, POI information is inserted into a playlist. In one embodiment, the playlist generation module 114 may be configured to update the playlist based on the POI information acquired by the resource acquisition module 113 to insert the acquired POI information into a predetermined position in the playlist. The predetermined position may be, for example, a position immediately following the currently playing content, or an interruption of the currently playing content for immediate play.
As described above, the resource acquisition module 113 may also include a schedule acquisition module and/or a weather condition acquisition module. When the user is using an application based on the present application, the schedule acquisition module and/or the weather condition acquisition module may acquire additional information such as schedule information and/or weather condition information, which may then be inserted into the playlist.
In some embodiments, the collection module 111 can collect scheduling information in the schedule application 125. In one embodiment, the collected schedule information may include a schedule for the current day, e.g., "go to city a for a meeting at 10 am". The processing module 112 may process and analyze the collected schedule. In this embodiment, the processing module 112 may determine that a reminder schedule exists on the current day and may analyze the time keyword "10 am" and the address keyword "a city". In one embodiment, the schedule acquisition module may acquire the schedule information directly from the collection module 111 and send the schedule information to the playlist generation module 114. The playlist generation module 114 may be configured to update the playlist based on the obtained schedule information to insert the obtained schedule information into a predetermined location in the playlist, such as the first bit of the playlist, the location where the current day is first played, the location immediately following the currently playing content, and so on. In addition, the playlist generation module 114 may be further configured to insert the acquired schedule information into the following predetermined positions in the playlist based on the time keyword "10 am" analyzed by the processing module 112: the broadcast is performed at one or more predetermined points in time before the predetermined event occurs. For example, the spot is inserted one and half hours before 10 am, respectively.
In another embodiment, the weather condition obtaining module may send a weather condition obtaining request to the weather application 124 according to the address keyword "city a" analyzed by the processing module 112 to obtain weather condition information of the city a and the area to which the vehicle will be routed. Wherein the weather condition acquisition request may include city a, a region where the vehicle is going to pass, and the like. The region in which the vehicle will be routed can be obtained by: the processing module 112 sends an analysis request to the navigation application 123, where the analysis request may include city a, and then receives an analysis result from the navigation application 123, which may include a region where the vehicle will be routed. The resource acquisition module 113 may then transmit the acquired weather condition information of city a, the area where the vehicle will be routed, and the like to the playlist generation module 114.
The playlist generation module 114 may update the playlist, inserting the weather condition information into a predetermined location in the playlist. The predetermined position may be, for example, a position immediately following the currently played content, a position immediately following the schedule information, or the like.
