The multi-cloud management platform is provided with a super system manager in a default mode, the super system manager can create an organization structure and a user after logging in, and the user can edit and manage according to the owned authority after logging in the multi-cloud management platform through a set account.
The system administrator can add new users to be allocated to departments, and the department administrator can add users to own departments;
the multi-cloud management platform allocates quotas for each department and allocates and manages resources according to the quotas.
The user cannot apply for any resources before being added to a department.
The system administrator and department administrator may create projects on a multi-cloud management platform and associate users and resources to different projects.
When a particular user is assigned to an item, a resource request can be associated with the item.
A method for realizing multi-cloud management comprises the following steps:
step S1, a cloud management platform is built;
step S2, establishing a cloud management platform operating environment;
step S3, configuring a software server; if software and related services are to be automatically deployed through a CMP, a software server is first configured. Before adding a software server in the CMP, a Chef server should be installed and configured as a software server. If the CMP environment is installed via an auto install script accompanying the CMP, the Chef server will be automatically installed on the deployment server.
Step S4, a system administrator creates an area, creates a management domain according to the area, and adds a cloud platform department and a user;
step S5, synchronizing resources, and synchronizing the resources from different management domains to the cloud management platform by a system administrator;
step S6, setting an operating system, and after the management domain is synchronized, configuring an OS and distributing the OS to various images and virtual machines synchronized to the cloud management platform;
step S7, setting mirror image and virtual machine, after managing domain resource synchronization, configuring mirror image of virtual machine;
and step S8, configuring a resource pool, creating and allocating the resource pool to each department, and enabling the department users to use corresponding resources in the resource pool.
The resource pool comprises a computing resource pool, a storage resource pool and a network resource pool.
In CMP, the management domains are treated as backend resource management servers for various infrastructure resources, management domains corresponding to different virtualization technologies and platforms may be added: such as VMware vCenter, OpenStack, IBM Power, kubernets, etc.
Only CMP "system administrator" can customize the approval process for the CMP platform, and "department administrator" can select an approval process suitable for its own department for the top department. The designated approval process may be quickly searched through a filter box above the approval process list.
Further, on the CMP cloud platform, the service directory comprises a topology service, a basic service and a Helm template. The CMP 'system administrator' can create, edit, delete and the like the topology type and the topology, edit the basic service of all departments, and check and set the Helm template. The 'department administrator' can manage the topology of the department and edit the basic service of the department. The "end user" can only view the topology of the department.
Further, topology refers to a "standard" virtual machine template and software for configuration, allowing a user to create and edit the topology by drag and drop. The topology may be created by a CMP "System Administrator", shared by multiple departments. Or created by a "department manager" and used by its own department. The "end user" can choose the topology to apply to his application.
The CMP 'system administrator' can establish a topology to one or more departments for shared use, the 'department administrator' can establish the topology to the department for independent use, and the 'terminal user' can check the topology information of the department and select a proper topology to submit a deployment application.
When a CMP "system administrator" creates a topology, it can choose whether the topology is common or not, and only the CMP "system administrator" can modify the common topology.
A CMP (chemical mechanical polishing) system administrator can edit all topologies, a department administrator can edit the topologies belonging to the department, and a terminal user can only check the topology details and cannot edit the topologies; only the CMP "system administrator" can "disable/enable" the topology, other role users cannot do so, and the disabled topology will not be able to submit a deployment application.
On the CMP cloud platform, service examples comprise a block chain service, a spark service, load balancing, a DevOps service, a proprietary network service and a database service. The CMP "system administrator" can perform viewing, editing, etc. operations on all services. The "department administrator" can view and edit the services of the department. The "end user" can only view its own services.
The CMP platform supports a multi-department, multi-position, multi-project and multi-region organization management structure; the hierarchical architecture of the departments can be organized according to actual needs.
A user may belong to multiple departments, have multiple projects, and have multiple positions. A department contains a plurality of sub-departments and becomes an upper-level department of the sub-departments. Any one department may have one or more department administrators. The administrator may allocate a quota for the top-level department, with all subordinate sub-departments sharing the top-level department quota. Only the top-level department can configure the department approval process, and the sub-department follows the approval process of the top-level department.
The positions are classified into an approvable position and a non-approvable position, and a manager of a department with the approvable position can approve the application submitted by a terminal user of the department.
On the CMP pipe transporting platform, a CMP 'system administrator' can manage all the organization structures; a "department administrator" can manage the organizational structure of the department to which it belongs; the 'end user' can only view/edit own user data, affiliated departments and projects.
The CMP 'system administrator' can customize roles and assign access rights to the roles according to requirements, thereby realizing role-based right control. There are four roles of a CMP-a system administrator, a department administrator, an end user, and an auditor-that cannot be modified or deleted. Wherein the auditor has only the right to browse and no right to edit and delete.
