The present disclosure provides a vending machine software upgrading method, wherein a server is provided with an installation package database for storing various types of vending machines and a database for storing different component version software, acquires exclusive information of the vending machines, and according to the detected exclusive information, the vending machine is classified, then the server inquires the software version used by the vending machine terminal and judges whether the updating is needed and the updating mode, if the upgrade is needed, the server controls the vending machine to download the software version needed by the upgrade, then software upgrading installation is carried out, the upgrading process and the result are recorded in a server log file, the automatic vending machine is upgraded, downloaded and installed according to the exclusive information, and a professional is not required to conduct the service of software package upgrading or component software upgrading, so that the efficiency is improved, and the time is saved.
