Background
Handover (HO) is a key technology for supporting a terminal to ensure service continuity when the terminal moves from one cell to another cell or from one base station to another base station in a connected state, and generally, a Handover process is completed through three stages of Handover preparation, Handover execution and Handover completion.

One proposed optimization technology is Conditional HO, which is mainly characterized in that a serving base station negotiates with a target base station in advance, prepares relevant resources and configuration information in advance, sends the information to a terminal in advance, and the terminal makes a decision of triggering handover.
In order to ensure the lossless data in the handover process, the source base station needs to forward the data, that is, send the data to the target base station, in addition to sending the data to the terminal. However, in the case of the conditional handover, there is no relevant provision for when the source base station forwards data. Therefore, when the source base station forwards data to the target base station and the corresponding flow are key issues that remain to be solved for conditional handover.

the transceiver 32 is configured to receive a radio resource control RRC reconfiguration complete message or random access preamble information or scheduling transmission information sent by a terminal; and sending a condition switching completion message or indication information of data forwarding or indication information of successful access of the terminal to the target base station to the source base station.

The technical solution of the present invention is further described with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
As shown in fig. 7, the signaling interaction of each network element in this embodiment includes the following steps:
the source base station sends parameters for conditional HO measurement and reporting to the terminal, wherein the parameters are contained in RRC ConReconfig (radio resource configuration message), and receives configuration feedback message (RRC Con Reconfig Com);
when meeting the reporting condition of the conditional HO measurement event, the terminal reports the measurement result;
a source base station determines whether a conditional HO is configured for a certain UE, and selects a target cell;
the method comprises the steps that a handover request sent to a target base station by a source base station carries a conditional HO indication, the handover request is used for informing that the current handover request of the target base station is the conditional HO, and the target base station is assisted to carry out admission control and feed back corresponding parameters and configuration;
if the target base station accepts, the returned HO Request ACK carries handover command information, which includes information such as bearer configuration, RACH (Random Access Channel) configuration and the like, and may also include an indication of a conditional HO and/or a trigger condition of the conditional HO;
the source base station sends an RRC reconfiguration message to the terminal, and directly forwards an HO command message or increases an indication of a conditional HO and/or a trigger condition of the conditional HO, and then the executed data forwarding scheme may include the following several embodiments.
In the data forwarding scheme of the first embodiment, as shown in fig. 7, the source base station sends data to the terminal and simultaneously sends unsuccessfully transmitted data and new data to the target base station; the terminal meets the conditional HO condition to trigger the switching and complete the random access process; the source base station determines to stop sending/receiving data with the terminal, and sends SN (Service Node) state information to the target base station; the target base station sends a path switching request to a core network; after the path switching is completed, the core network sends an end marker to the source base station, and the source base station forwards the end marker to the target base station; and after receiving the feedback message of completing the path switching, the target base station sends a UE context release message to the source base station.
In the data forwarding scheme of the second embodiment, as shown in fig. 8, after receiving the reconfiguration message sent by the source base station, the terminal does not stop data transmission with the source base station, when the terminal determines that the conditional HO handover condition is satisfied, the terminal sends an indication that the HO request has been triggered to the source base station, and then the terminal initiates a random access process to the target base station, and the source base station can start to perform data forwarding to the target base station and/or send SN status information after receiving the indication.
In the data forwarding scheme of the third embodiment, as shown in fig. 9, after receiving the reconfiguration message sent by the source base station, the terminal does not stop data transmission with the source base station; the terminal then initiates a random access process to the target base station; the base station judges that the current terminal triggers conditional HO, for example, based on realization, data transmission is not successful within a certain time, and can start to execute data forwarding to a target base station and/or send SNstatus information.
In the data forwarding scheme of the fourth embodiment, as shown in fig. 10, after receiving the reconfiguration message sent by the source base station, the terminal does not stop data transmission with the source base station; the terminal then initiates a random access process to the target base station; when the target base station receives the RRC reconfiguration complete message sent by the terminal or receives the message 1/3, the target base station sends the instruction information of the conditional HO complete or data forwarding to the source base station, and after receiving the information, the source base station may start to execute data forwarding to the target base station and/or send the SNstatus information.
By the technical scheme of the embodiment, the problem of data forwarding in the conditional switching process can be solved, so that the switching process is more robust, and new service requirements and deployment scenes can be supported.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a communication device, including: memory, a processor and a computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor, which computer program, when executed by the processor, carries out the steps of the handover method as described above.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a computer-readable storage medium, where a computer program is stored on the computer-readable storage medium, and when the computer program is executed by a processor, the steps in the handover method described above are implemented.
It is to be understood that the embodiments described herein may be implemented in hardware, software, firmware, middleware, microcode, or any combination thereof. For a hardware implementation, the Processing units may be implemented within one or more Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), Digital Signal Processing Devices (DSPDs), Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), general purpose processors, controllers, micro-controllers, microprocessors, other electronic units configured to perform the functions described herein, or a combination thereof.
For a software implementation, the techniques described herein may be implemented with modules (e.g., procedures, functions, and so on) that perform the functions described herein. The software codes may be stored in a memory and executed by a processor. The memory may be implemented within the processor or external to the processor.
The embodiments in the present specification are described in a progressive manner, each embodiment focuses on differences from other embodiments, and the same and similar parts among the embodiments are referred to each other.
As will be appreciated by one skilled in the art, embodiments of the present invention may be provided as a method, apparatus, or computer program product. Accordingly, embodiments of the present invention may take the form of an entirely hardware embodiment, an entirely software embodiment or an embodiment combining software and hardware aspects. Claims (42)

1. A handover method applied to a source base station is characterized by comprising the following steps:
sending an RRC connection reconfiguration message to a terminal, wherein the connection reconfiguration message comprises a condition switching configuration;
and under the condition of meeting a preset data forwarding condition, forwarding the data to a target base station and/or sending SN (service number) state information to the target base station.
2. The handover method according to claim 1, wherein the data comprises data that has not been successfully transmitted by the terminal and/or unsent data and/or new data received from the core network.
3. The handover method according to claim 1, wherein the RRC connection reconfiguration message comprises at least one of:
mobility control information;
radio resource configuration information;
randomly accessing resource configuration information;
an indication of a conditional switch;
triggering conditions for conditional switching.
4. The handover method according to claim 1, wherein forwarding data to a target base station and/or sending SN status information to the target base station when a preset data forwarding condition is satisfied comprises:
forwarding the transmitted data to a target base station while transmitting the data to the terminal;
and after the terminal finishes the random access process with the target base station, stopping data interaction with the terminal and sending SN (service number) state information to the target base station.
5. The handover method according to claim 1, wherein forwarding data to a target base station and/or sending SN status information to the target base station when a preset data forwarding condition is satisfied comprises:
receiving indication information which is sent by the terminal and triggers condition switching, wherein the indication information indicates that the terminal starts to establish connection with a target base station or stops data interaction with a source base station;
forwarding data to a target base station and/or sending SN number state information to the target base station.
6. The handover method according to claim 5, wherein the indication information sent by the terminal that the conditional handover has been triggered is sent through a physical channel or MAC layer signaling or control PDU or RRC layer signaling.
7. The handover method according to claim 1, wherein forwarding data to a target base station and/or sending SN status information to the target base station when a preset data forwarding condition is satisfied comprises:
and under the condition of judging that the terminal triggers condition switching, forwarding data to a target base station and/or sending SN (service number) state information to the target base station.
8. The handover method according to claim 1, wherein forwarding data to a target base station and/or sending SN status information to the target base station when a preset data forwarding condition is satisfied comprises:
after receiving a condition switching completion message or data forwarding indication message sent by a target base station or a message that a terminal successfully accesses the target base station, forwarding data to the target base station and/or sending SN (service number) state information to the target base station.
9. The handover method according to claim 1, further comprising:
receiving an end mark sent by a core network element, wherein the end mark is sent after the core network element receives a path switching request of the target base station and completes path switching;
sending the end mark to the target base station;
and receiving a terminal context release message of the target base station.
10. A switching device applied to a source base station is characterized by comprising a processor and a transceiver,
the transceiver is used for sending an RRC connection reconfiguration message to a terminal, wherein the connection reconfiguration message comprises a conditional switching configuration; and under the condition of meeting a preset data forwarding condition, forwarding the data to a target base station and/or sending SN (service number) state information to the target base station.
11. The handover apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the data comprises data that has not been successfully transmitted by the terminal and/or unsent data and/or new data received from the core network.
12. The handover apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the RRC connection reconfiguration message comprises at least one of:
mobility control information;
radio resource configuration information;
randomly accessing resource configuration information;
an indication of a conditional switch;
triggering conditions for conditional switching.
13. The switching device of claim 10,
the transceiver is specifically configured to forward the transmitted data to a target base station while transmitting the data to the terminal; and after the terminal finishes the random access process with the target base station, stopping data interaction with the terminal and sending SN (service number) state information to the target base station.
14. The switching device of claim 10,
the transceiver is specifically configured to receive indication information that a condition handover has been triggered and is sent by the terminal, where the indication information indicates that the terminal has started to establish a connection with a target base station or that the terminal has stopped data interaction with a source base station; forwarding data to a target base station and/or sending SN number state information to the target base station.
15. The switching device according to claim 14, wherein the indication information sent by the terminal that the conditional switch has been triggered is sent through a physical channel or MAC layer signaling or control PDU or RRC layer signaling.
16. The switching device of claim 10,
the transceiver is specifically configured to forward data to a target base station and/or send SN status information to the target base station when it is determined that the terminal has triggered the conditional handover.
17. The switching device of claim 10,
the transceiver is specifically configured to forward data to the target base station and/or send SN status information to the target base station after receiving a conditional handover complete message or data forwarding indication message sent by the target base station or a message that the terminal successfully accesses the target base station.
18. The switching device of claim 10,
the transceiver is further configured to receive an end flag sent by a core network element, where the end flag is sent after the core network element receives a path switching request of the target base station and completes path switching; sending the end mark to the target base station; and receiving a terminal context release message of the target base station.
19. A switching method is applied to a terminal, and is characterized by comprising the following steps:
receiving an RRC connection reconfiguration message sent by a source base station, wherein the RRC connection reconfiguration message comprises a condition switching configuration;
and under the condition of meeting the switching condition of the condition switching, sending indication information to the source base station, wherein the indication information indicates that the terminal starts to establish connection with the target base station or stops data interaction with the source base station.
20. The handover method according to claim 19, wherein the RRC connection reconfiguration message comprises at least one of:
mobility control information;
radio resource configuration information;
randomly accessing resource configuration information;
an indication of a conditional switch;
triggering conditions for conditional switching.
21. The handover method according to claim 19, further comprising:
stopping data interaction with the source base station.
22. The handover method according to claim 19, wherein the indication information is used to instruct the source base station to forward data to the target base station and/or send SN status information to the target base station.
23. The handover method according to claim 22, wherein the indication information sent by the terminal is sent through a physical channel or MAC layer signaling or control PDU or RRC layer signaling.
24. The handover method according to claim 19, wherein the method further comprises:
and sending a Radio Resource Control (RRC) reconfiguration completion message to the target base station.
25. A switching device applied to a terminal is characterized by comprising a processor and a transceiver,
the transceiver is configured to receive an RRC connection reconfiguration message sent by a source base station, where the RRC connection reconfiguration message includes a conditional handover configuration;
the processor is used for sending indication information to the source base station under the condition that a switching condition of condition switching is met, wherein the indication information indicates that the terminal starts to establish connection with the target base station or the terminal stops data interaction with the source base station.
26. The handover apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the RRC connection reconfiguration message comprises at least one of:
mobility control information;
radio resource configuration information;
randomly accessing resource configuration information;
an indication of a conditional switch;
triggering conditions for conditional switching.
27. The switching device of claim 25, wherein the transceiver is further configured to stop data interaction with the source base station.
28. The handover apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the indication information is used to instruct a source base station to forward data to a target base station and/or send SN status information to the target base station.
29. The switching device according to claim 28, wherein the indication information sent by the terminal is sent through a physical channel or MAC layer signaling or control PDU or RRC layer signaling.
30. The handover apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit a radio resource control RRC reconfiguration complete message to the target base station.
31. A handover method applied to a target base station is characterized by comprising the following steps:
receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) reconfiguration completion message or random access preamble information or scheduling transmission information sent by a terminal;
and sending a condition switching completion message or indication information of data forwarding or indication information of successful access of the terminal to the target base station to the source base station.
32. The handover method according to claim 31, further comprising:
and receiving the data forwarded by the source base station and/or receiving SN (service number) state information of the source base station.
33. The handover method according to claim 32, wherein the data comprises data that has not been successfully transmitted by the terminal and/or unsent data and/or new data received from the core network.
34. The handover method according to claim 32, further comprising:
sending a path switching request to a core network element;
and after receiving the feedback message of the path switching completion, sending a terminal context release message to the source base station.
35. The handover method according to claim 32, wherein before receiving the data forwarded by the source base station and/or receiving the SN number status information of the source base station, the method further comprises:
receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) reconfiguration completion message sent by a terminal or receiving random access preamble information or scheduling transmission information;
and sending a condition switching completion message or indication information of data forwarding or indication information of successful access of the terminal to the target base station to the source base station.
36. A switching device, applied to a target base station, comprises a processor and a transceiver,
the transceiver is used for receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) reconfiguration completion message or random access preamble information or scheduling transmission information sent by a terminal; and sending a condition switching completion message or indication information of data forwarding or indication information of successful access of the terminal to the target base station to the source base station.
37. The switching device of claim 36,
the transceiver is also used for receiving data forwarded by the source base station and unsuccessfully transmitted data and new data and/or receiving SN number status information of the source base station.
38. The handover apparatus according to claim 37, wherein the data comprises data that has not been successfully transmitted by the terminal and/or unsent data and/or new data received from the core network.
39. The switching apparatus according to claim 36, wherein the transceiver is further configured to send a path switch request to a core network element; and after receiving the feedback message of the path switching completion, sending a terminal context release message to the source base station.
40. The switching device of claim 36,
the transceiver is also used for receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) reconfiguration completion message sent by the terminal or receiving random access preamble information or scheduling transmission information; and sending a condition switching completion message or indication information of data forwarding or indication information of successful access of the terminal to the target base station to the source base station.
41. A communication device, comprising: memory, processor and computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor, which when executed by the processor performs the steps in the handover method according to any one of claims 1 to 9 or the steps in the handover method according to any one of claims 19 to 24 or the steps in the handover method according to any one of claims 31 to 35.
42. A computer-readable storage medium, characterized in that a computer program is stored thereon, which computer program, when being executed by a processor, carries out the steps in the handover method according to any one of claims 1 to 9 or the steps in the handover method according to any one of claims 19 to 24 or the steps in the handover method according to any one of claims 31 to 35.
