In order that those skilled in the art will better understand the disclosure, the invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for restoring factory settings of a server system according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, a method for restoring factory settings of a server system includes:
s10: when an operation instruction for restoring factory settings is received, executing an operation process of restarting the BMC;
s20: and mounting the target partition provided with the target file in the process of restarting the BMC.
Specifically, in this embodiment, an operation instruction for restoring factory settings may be sent to the BMC through an operation instruction in an IPMI (Intelligent Platform management interface) format; and when receiving an operation instruction for restoring factory settings, the BMC calls a pre-stored BMC restarting script to execute a BMC restarting operation process. In the process of restarting the BMC, the partitions including the target partition provided with the target file are mounted firstly. It should be noted that the specific operation manner of mounting the target partition is common knowledge of those skilled in the art, and is not limited herein.
It should be noted that the target partition generally refers to a power-down non-loss area (conf partition) in the server system, and may also be other designated partitions, which is not limited in this embodiment. Specifically, the target file in this embodiment may be a configuration file, a log file, or another type of data file, which is not limited in this embodiment.
S30: and restoring factory settings of the target partition, and then continuously starting the BMC.
Specifically, after the mount operation is performed on the target partition, factory settings are restored to the target partition. Specifically, the operation of restoring the factory settings is to delete a target file in the target partition, and copy a file backed up in advance from a preset position to the target partition; and after the target partition is restored to the factory setting, the BMC is continuously started.
The method for restoring the factory settings of the server system, provided by the embodiment of the invention, is characterized in that a target partition provided with a target file is mounted in the process of restarting a BMC; restoring factory settings of the target partition, and then continuously starting the BMC; in the process of restarting the BMC, the condition that the service or the process accesses the target file cannot exist, so that the factory setting recovery operation is executed at the moment, the condition that the data file is damaged or lost in the factory setting recovery process can be avoided, and the integrity of the data file can be ensured.
On the basis of the foregoing embodiment, this embodiment further describes and optimizes the technical solution, and specifically, in this embodiment, when an operation instruction to restore factory settings is received, the process of restarting the operation process of the BMC is executed, which specifically includes:
when an operation instruction for restoring factory settings is received, setting identification information for a target partition provided with a target file;
after the target partition provided with the target file is mounted in the process of restarting the BMC, the method further comprises the following steps:
judging whether the target partition is provided with identification information or not;
and if so, restoring factory settings of the target partition, and continuing to start the BMC.
Specifically, in this embodiment, when an operation instruction to restore factory settings is received, identification information is first set for a target partition in which a target file is set. Specifically, the specific way of setting the identification information may be to create an identification file at a preset position of the target partition, which is not limited in this embodiment. Then, after the target partition provided with the target file is mounted in the process of restarting the BMC, checking the current environment and judging whether the target partition is provided with identification information or not; and if the identification information is set, restoring factory settings of the target partition.
It should be noted that, after determining whether the identification information is set in the target partition, the method further includes:
if not, the BMC is directly started continuously.
That is to say, for the target partition or other partitions in the server system that are not set with the identification information, the present embodiment does not perform the factory reset operation on these partitions, but directly continues the operation of starting the BMC.
As can be seen, on one hand, the method of the embodiment can specifically perform factory reset operation on each partition in the server system, that is, only the partition with the identification information is subjected to factory reset operation, thereby avoiding that all the partitions in the server system need to be subjected to factory reset operation each time; on the other hand, the method can be used as secondary confirmation for factory reset, and the accuracy of factory reset operation on the target partition is guaranteed.
As a preferred embodiment, the target file is specifically:
a configuration file and/or a log file.
It should be noted that the configuration file plays an important role in normal operation of the BMC and the entire server system, and after the configuration file is damaged, the web cannot access the BMC, that is, the web and the BMC cannot perform information interaction operation, which affects operations such as system upgrade and update of the server system, and increases the complexity of operation and maintenance work. The log file is a file for recording the operation condition of the server system, plays an important role in detecting the operation state of the server system and the operation and maintenance of the system, and after the log file is damaged, no basis for checking abnormal faults exists when the server system is abnormal or fails, so that the complexity of the operation and maintenance work is increased.
Therefore, in the embodiment, the integrity of the configuration file and/or the log file is guaranteed in the process of restoring the factory settings of the server system, and the convenience of operation and maintenance work can be improved.
On the basis of the foregoing embodiment, the present embodiment further describes and optimizes the technical solution, and specifically, after the factory reset is performed on the target partition and the BMC is continuously started, the present embodiment further includes:
and sending out corresponding prompt information.
It should be noted that, in this embodiment, after the target partition is restored to the factory setting and the BMC is continuously started, the preset prompting device is triggered to start, and the preset prompting device is used to send out the corresponding prompting information.
In practical operation, the prompt message may be a message sent by a preset prompt device such as a buzzer, an indicator light, and/or a display, such as a prompt sound of the buzzer, a flashing prompt of the indicator light, or a text message or an image message displayed by the display, and the specific type of the prompt message is not limited in this embodiment.
It can be seen that, in this embodiment, after resuming to start the BMC, the target partition is restored to the factory setting, and corresponding prompt information is further sent, so that the user can timely know that the operation of restoring the factory setting to the server system is completed, and other operations can be performed, thereby improving the user experience.
On the basis of the foregoing embodiment, the present embodiment further describes and optimizes the technical solution, and specifically, after the factory reset is performed on the target partition and the BMC is continuously started, the present embodiment further includes:
and recording the operation time for restoring factory settings of the target partition.
Specifically, in this embodiment, after the factory reset is performed on the target partition and the BMC is continuously started, the operation time for factory reset is further obtained, and the obtained operation time is recorded.
Specifically, the mode of recording the operation time for restoring the factory setting of the target partition may be recording in a form of a database table, or recording in a form of a text document, and this embodiment is not limited. In the actual operation, partition information corresponding to other partitions subjected to factory reset and operation time for factory reset may be further recorded.
It can be understood that, in this embodiment, by further recording the operation time for restoring the factory setting of the target partition, it is convenient to analyze and know the frequency of restoring the factory setting of the server system according to the recorded operation time, and further know the operating performance state of the server system.
On the basis of the above embodiments, the present embodiment further describes and optimizes the technical solution, and specifically, the present embodiment further includes:
and displaying the progress of factory restoration of each partition of the server system.
Specifically, in this embodiment, in the process of restoring the factory setting of the server system, the progress of restoring the factory setting of the server system is further calculated according to the total number of partitions of the server system, which need to be restored to the factory setting, and the partition which has been restored to the factory setting at present; the progress is then displayed. Specifically, the progress may be displayed in a numerical manner, or may be displayed in a manner of a progress bar or a pie chart, which is not limited in this embodiment.
Therefore, in the embodiment, the progress of factory restoration of each partition of the server system is further displayed, so that a user can directly obtain the current progress of factory restoration, and the use experience of the user can be further improved.
