Abstract
The invention discloses a video display method of a multi-style display area.A set top box defines a geometric figure in the center of a video image to be displayed, the color of pixel points of the video image is normally displayed in the geometric figure, the pixel points of the video image except the geometric figure all display the same color, and the processed video image is output and displayed; a video display apparatus for displaying regions in a multi-style is also disclosed. The video display area is set to be in a circular or polygonal display effect, so that the effects of more attractive appearance and more vitality can be achieved, and the video display area moves along with the change of the control focus of the user, so that the user can be helped to find or control the video watching focus.

Background
With the improvement of living standard of people, more and more people begin to enrich their lives by watching videos; however, the videos seen by people at present are all rectangles, and the rectangles are also fixed in some multi-picture and small-picture modes, the styles are fixed and single, and the display is rigid.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
The embodiment of the invention provides a video display method of a multi-style display area, which is realized by the following steps as shown in figure 1:
step 101: the set top box demarcates a geometric figure in the center of a video image to be displayed;
specifically, as shown in fig. 2, a circle is drawn with the center of the video image to be displayed as the center and the default length as the radius, the size and the position of the reference circle are obtained, and the geometric figure is defined in the area of the reference circle.
The default length is set by a user according to the film watching habit.
And when the geometric figure is a circle, the reference circle is a defined circle figure.
When the geometric figure is a polygon, the tangent points with the same number of sides of the polygon are selected on the circumference of the reference circle, tangent lines are made at each tangent point, and the polygon formed by the intersection of the tangent lines is the demarcated polygonal figure.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, taking a pentagon as an example, five tangent points are selected on the circumference of the reference circle, and tangent lines are made at each tangent point and intersect with each other to form the pentagon.
Step 102: processing the video image to be displayed according to the geometric figure;
specifically, two display modes are provided, as shown in fig. 5 to 8, the first mode is to display an image corresponding to the position of the video image in the geometric figure, so that the color of the pixel points of the video image is normally displayed in the geometric figure, and the pixel points of the video image outside the geometric figure all display the same color;
as shown in fig. 9, the second method is to reduce the whole video image to be displayed to a size matched with the geometric figure, and completely display the whole video image in the geometric figure, so that there is an image-free display area between the reduced image and the geometric figure with a probability, and at this time, the pixels in the image-free display area all display the same color.
In any display mode, the pixels all display the same color, which means that all display the same color, for example, black, blue, green, etc., and can be set according to the preference of the user.
Step 103: and outputting and displaying the processed video image.
Further, the delineated geometry may be moved, enlarged and/or reduced at step 101 and/or step 103.
For example, if the user thinks the geometric image is too small, the user can display a video image with a larger size by enlarging the drawn geometric image as shown in fig. 10 and 11.
The embodiment of the invention also provides a video display device of the multi-style display area, which comprises a display area dividing unit and a video image output unit;
the display area delimiting unit is used for delimiting a geometric figure in the center of a video image to be displayed, the color of pixel points of the video image is normally displayed in the geometric figure, the pixel points of the video image outside the geometric figure all display the same color,
the video image output unit is used for outputting and displaying the video image processed by the display area dividing unit.
Further, the display area adjusting unit is used for moving, enlarging and/or reducing the geometric figure defined by the display area defining unit.
The display area delimiting unit is further configured to reduce the video image to be displayed to a size matching a geometric figure.
The display area delineating unit is specifically configured to make a circle with a center of a video image to be displayed as a center of the circle and a default length as a radius, obtain a size and a position of a reference circle, and delineate a geometric figure in an area of the reference circle.
The display area planning unit is further specifically configured to, when the geometric figure is a circle, determine that the reference circle is the planned circle.
The display area delimiting unit is further specifically configured to, when the geometric figure is a polygon, select a same number of tangent points on the sides of the polygon on the circumference of the reference circle, make a tangent line at each tangent point, and obtain a polygon formed by intersecting the tangent lines, that is, the delimited polygon figure.

Claims (10)
1. A video display method for a multi-style display region, the method comprising: the set top box demarcates a geometric figure in the center of a video image to be displayed, the color of pixel points of the video image is normally displayed in the geometric figure, the pixel points of the video image outside the geometric figure all display the same color, and the processed video image is output and displayed.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the set top box defines a geometric figure in the center of the video image to be displayed, and further comprising: moving, enlarging and/or reducing the delineated geometry.
3. The method for video presentation of a multi-style display region according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the set-top box, after centering the geometry of the video image to be presented, further comprises: and reducing the video image to be displayed to a size matched with the geometric figure.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein after the set-top box reduces the video image to be displayed to a size matching the geometric figure, if there is an image-free display area between the reduced image and the geometric figure, the pixels in the image-free display area all display the same color.

The method for video presentation of a multi-modal presentation area of claim 4, wherein the set top box defines a geometric figure in the center of the video image to be presented, specifically: and drawing a circle by taking the center of the video image to be displayed as the center of the circle and the default length as the radius to obtain the size and the position of a reference circle, and delimiting a geometric figure in the area of the reference circle.
6. A method for video presentation of a multi-style display region according to claim 5 wherein the reference circle is a defined circle when the geometric figure is a circle.

The method of claim 6, wherein when the geometric figure is a polygon, the same number of tangent points are selected on the sides of the polygon on the circumference of the reference circle, and a polygon formed by tangents at each tangent point and intersections between the tangents is a defined polygon figure.
8. A video display device for displaying regions in multiple styles is characterized by comprising a display region defining unit and a video image output unit;
the display area delimiting unit is used for delimiting a geometric figure in the center of the video image to be displayed, the color of pixel points of the video image is normally displayed in the geometric figure, the pixel points of the video image except the geometric figure all display the same color,
and the video image output unit is used for outputting and displaying the video image processed by the display area dividing unit.
9. The video display apparatus for multi-modal display of regions according to claim 8, further comprising a display region adjustment unit for moving, enlarging and/or reducing the geometry defined by the display region definition unit.
10. The video display apparatus for multi-style display regions according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the display region delimiting unit is further configured to reduce the video image to be displayed to a size matching a geometric figure.
