Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the IPTV technology field, and in particular, to a multicast channel authentication method and system.
Background
In the IPTV field, the playing experience of multicast channels is important, and the verification of the viewing right of the channel is also essential. In DVB era, the viewing authentication of channels is verified by a CA card, the authentication is completed locally in a set top box, and the viewing of each channel is authenticated in real time without objection. However, in the all-IP operation system, if the user accesses the authentication and authorization service for real-time authentication every time the user watches a multicast channel, the channel switching experience of the client is affected, and meanwhile, huge access pressure is brought to the authentication and authorization service.
The other authentication scheme corresponding to the real-time authentication is a hysteresis authentication or automatic decompression authentication mode, when the authentication service pressure is found to be overlarge, the user is allowed to watch the authentication service, and then the authentication is performed under the condition that the service capacity to be authenticated is allowed.
In a word, the real-time authentication influences the user experience, and the authentication service pressure is huge; the hysteresis authentication or automatic decompression authentication mode ensures that the client is switched or needs to access the back-end authentication service every time, the access pressure is not reduced, and only the real authentication step is not implemented.

Further, the playing client sends a channel list with a user identifier and a region identifier to request to access the program information server to acquire a channel list and cache time; sending a channel batch authentication request with a user identifier to the authentication and authentication server; and searching batch authentication feedback results for each channel in the channel list, caching the authentication results in an internal storage if the authentication feedback exists, and setting an unauthorized viewing state for the channels without the feedback.
Further, the playing client manages the caching of the authentication result of each channel, and if the caching time is over, the playing client sends a channel list request to the program information server again to acquire the channel list and the caching time, and sends a channel batch authentication request to the authentication and authentication server again.
Further, the playing client determines whether the channel can be played according to the cache state of the authentication result when the user plays the channel; and when the connection between the multicast channel and the authentication and authorization server is abnormal and the channel multicast stream can still be normally received, playing the multicast channel by using the cached authentication result.
Further, the program information server receives the channel list request sent by the playing client, and issues the channel list and the cache time matched with the area where the user is located.
