The foregoing and other technical and scientific aspects, features and utilities of the present invention will be apparent from the following detailed description of the embodiments, which is to be read in connection with the accompanying drawings. Directional terms as referred to in the following examples, for example: up, down, left, right, front or rear, etc., are simply directions with reference to the drawings. Accordingly, the directional terminology is used for purposes of illustration and is in no way limiting.
Fig. 1 and 2 are block diagrams illustrating a multi-party audio/video call control system and a call control method according to an embodiment of the invention. As shown in fig. 1, a multi-party video call control system 10 includes a data processing module 12, a routing and signal control module 14, and a plurality of operation terminal units 16. The data processing module 12 is used for collecting call data of any one of the multi-party call and transmitting the call data to any one of the multi-party call. In this embodiment, the call data may include audio, video, or a combination of audio and video, and the data processing module 12 may include a camera recording device for taking a picture, recording a video, or recording a sound of all members participating in a video or telephone conference during the conference, and may include a storage device for storing the recorded audio and video data. The routing and signal control module 14 can identify each communication line and determine the control priority from each communication line, and the control priority sends at least one video event request to the data processing module, so that the data processing module 12 can select the transmission object and the transmission content of the communication data according to the video event request. For example, the determination mode of controlling the priority may include a main line priority mode, a branch line priority mode, or a general mode. The main line can be, for example, the line of the terminal where the host of the conference is located, and the other sub-lines can be other conference members except the host. The main line priority mode is a mode in which control of a line (for example, determination of a transmission destination and transmission contents of call data) is given priority to a main line (host), and for example, when a certain measure or operation is determined by the main line, a branch line cannot change the measure or operation. In contrast, the branch priority mode is a mode in which the control of the line is prioritized by the branch (other conference members except the host), and for example, if the branch has determined a certain measure or performed a certain operation, the main line cannot change the measure or operation. Furthermore, the general mode is to have the control right of the line by the conference member who operates first. In this embodiment, the operation terminal unit 16 may include a main display 161 for displaying the images of the conference members, an auxiliary display 162 for displaying the call status of the call lines, and an input interface 163 for inputting the video event request. The input interface 163 may comprise different function keys, for example, the conference member may press the function key to send the video event request to the data processing module 12, and the data processing module 12 may perform at least one of the following operations according to the video event request: stopping or resuming transmission of audio of the other party to the at least one designated party, stopping or resuming transmission of video of the other party to the at least one designated party, stopping or resuming transmission of audio and video of the other party to the at least one designated party, stopping or resuming transmission of audio of the other party to the at least one designated party, stopping or resuming transmission of video of the other party to the at least one designated party, and stopping or resuming transmission of audio and video of the other party to the at least one designated party. The above operation of the data processing module 12 can achieve the effect of limiting the transmission object of the call data, and the picture and the voice data can be separately and independently controlled.
The manner in which the object and content are controlled during a multi-party conference is described below in various embodiments. First, the control system 10 identifies the call line of any party in the multi-party call and collects the call data of any party, and the control system 10 can locate the serial numbers of the participating members according to the location of the operation terminal unit 16, and for example, can send the serial numbers of the participating members to the routing and signal control module 14 for identification. During normal conversation, as shown in fig. 1, the lines 1-4 all display normal status on the auxiliary display 162, the main display 161 displays normal pictures of all parties, and at this time, the sound and image of all parties are transmitted normally, so that all parties can see and hear the pictures and voice. Furthermore, the data processing module 12 can also record or record audio or video. As shown in fig. 2, when the control priority side sends an av event request R to the data processing module 12 through the operation terminal unit 16, the data processing module can perform various operations according to the av event request R. For example, if the line 3 needs to be temporarily isolated during the conference due to the conference, the line 1 (host) can send an av event request R through the input interface 163 to stop transmitting the av data of the other lines 1, 2, and 4 to the line 3 (designated party), or/and stop transmitting the av data of the line 3 (designated party) to the other lines 1, 2, and 4. The control method for stopping and resuming transmitting video data can adopt different modes according to the actual conditions of each participant and the requirements of the controller. In one embodiment, the controller may employ a pause, candidate, pause, or candidate mode, for example. For example, the picture pause mode may cause the display screen of the line 3 not to display the pictures (e.g., display blank or other specific pictures) of the other lines 1, 2, 4, the picture pause mode may cause the display screen of the line 3 to display the images of the other lines 1, 2, 4 when paused, the picture standby mode may cause selected ones of the lines to transmit pictures to each other normally, the unselected ones are in an inaccessible state without displaying pictures, the audio pause mode may cause the line 3 not to transmit the own sound nor hear the sounds of the other lines 1, 2, 4, the audio pause mode may cause the line 3 not to transmit the own sound but hear the sounds of the other lines 1, 2, 4, the audio standby mode may cause the selected one to transmit audio normally, and the other lines cannot participate therein. When the line 1 (host) inputs an instruction through the input interface 163 to enable the line 3 to enter the picture pause mode and the audio pause mode, the auxiliary display screen 162 of each conference member can display the current state (in which control mode) of the line 3 as shown in fig. 2, so as to remind each conference participant whether to hear the conversation of the other party or see the video of the other party, thereby avoiding the situation that the information which should not be transmitted is mistakenly transmitted, and simultaneously, each conference participant can know the current state of each line to determine the subsequent operation, for example, when the line 3 does not need to be isolated, the line 1 (host) can input an instruction through the input interface 163 to enable the transmission state of the video data of the line 3 to be recovered to normal. The various control modes for video and audio are exemplary and not limiting, and may be added or changed according to the actual situation encountered during the actual use.
Fig. 3 and 4 are block diagrams illustrating a multi-party video call control system and a call control method according to another embodiment of the invention. In this embodiment, when two parties in the conference have a requirement for separate communication, for example, the mode of controlling the priority party can be changed from the main line priority mode to the branch line priority mode by applying for the line 1 (host) or by adopting other measures, so that the other parties can ensure the priority of both-party communication without being disturbed by the host or other parties. For example, if the line 3 and the line 4 have a requirement for secret conversation, the line 3 or the line 4 may send an audio-visual event request R to apply for switching the control priority from the main line to the line 3 or the line 4 of the branch line from the line 1 (host), so that the line 3 or the line 4 may instruct the data processing module 12 to shield and suspend the other lines 1 and 2 according to the audio-visual event request R, and only the transmission of signals of both the lines 3 and 4 is reserved, so that the auxiliary display screens of the line 3 and the line 4 may be displayed as a standby mode as shown in fig. 3, and then join each other into a conversation to form a conversation group for conversation, and the other lines 1 and 2 are shielded and will not receive the conversation content of the conversation group. Furthermore, the auxiliary display screens of lines 1 and 2 can inform that lines 3 and 4 are currently in pause mode as shown in fig. 4, reminding participants of lines 1 and 2 that they cannot participate in the conversation between lines 3 and 4. The above-mentioned modes described in fig. 3 and fig. 4 are only examples for illustrating how to form the conversation group, the present invention can adopt various modes according to the actual situation of the meeting, and the mode information displayed by the auxiliary display 162 is only an example and is not limited. In one embodiment, the auxiliary display 162 may also be used to provide other information, for example, in the main line priority mode, when the branch line intends to perform its own operation, the auxiliary display 162 may automatically prompt the information that the operation is not possible.
By means of the design of the embodiment, during the multi-party video conference, the transmitting object and the transmitting content of the call data can be selected in real time, and the effects of isolating at least one selected conference party so that the conference party is not added with the conference discussion temporarily, or enabling any two or more conference parties to communicate independently without being interfered by other parties can be obtained. Furthermore, the audio and video call data can be independently controlled according to the requirement, and the audio and video call data can be recorded and stored for later reference.
Another embodiment of the invention provides a multi-party audio-video call control method. As shown in fig. 5, in the present control method, the sub-routes of the main route and other parties are first identified and a control priority is determined (step S20), the control priority can be switched in different priority modes according to the requirement without limitation, for example, the control priority can be temporarily transferred from the host to other parties, and then transferred back to the host. Then, the control priority party sends an av event request to prohibit at least one other party from receiving or sending at least one of the audio and video call data (step S30). Furthermore, the current call status of the host and other parties requesting update corresponding to the av event is displayed (step S40), so that the participants can fully understand the operations allowed or prohibited by each other.
The above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and not intended to limit the scope of the invention, which is defined by the appended claims and all simple equivalent variations and modifications within the scope of the invention. Furthermore, it is not necessary for any embodiment or claim of the invention to address all of the objects, advantages, or features disclosed herein. Furthermore, the terms "first," "second," and the like in the description or in the claims are used for naming elements or distinguishing between different embodiments or ranges, and are not used for limiting upper or lower limits on the number of elements.
