Description

Method and device for identifying SIM/USIM card not supporting mobile communication network and mobile terminal
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of mobile communications, and in particular, to a method, an apparatus, and a mobile terminal for identifying an SIM/USIM card that does not support a mobile communication network.
Background
With the commercial popularization of 5G networks, 5G-enabled multi-mode mobile terminals will also become more and more popular.
For a user holding a 5G mobile terminal and wishing to use 5G network services, the operator typically changes the user's handset card to a usim (universal Subscriber Identity module) card supporting the 5G network. The USIM card supporting the 5G network should support certain services related to 5G technology, and whether the USIM card supports the services or some files and data only related to the 5G technology exist can be obtained from the card file EFust.
When upgrading to the 5G network, only a specific 5G terminal needs to be used, and a user can replace a new 5G USIM card or not, so that some USIM cards without authority try to access the 5G network. Particularly, in the middle-aged and elderly people, a mobile terminal supporting 5G is used only for the purpose of changing mobile phones, but no 5G network service is applied to the operator, and the used USIM card may also be a USIM card in the 3G era or some 4G USIM card which is not applied to the operator for using the 5G network service. USIM cards used by these users cannot register and provide services on the 5G network.
A general 5G multimode terminal cannot identify whether a current USIM card has 5G rights in a specific Network, even if a USIM card that does not support a 5G Network is inserted, whenever some specific scenarios are encountered, such as Network selection by a booted RPLMN (registered public land Mobile Network), residence in a 2G, 3G, 4G cell but discovery of a 5G neighbor cell, etc., a 5G Network registration is preferentially attempted, and these attempts fail due to the USIM card user rights. Due to the current 5G network becoming popular and the superiority of 5G technology over 2G, 3G and 4G technologies, a 5G-capable multimode mobile terminal usually tries to camp on and register on the 5G network preferentially, which results in that these scenes are very easy to meet, thereby generating a large amount of unnecessary overhead, affecting the efficiency of the mobile terminal and wasting wireless resources of the mobile communication network.
The invention patent application No. 201610185775.X, application publication No. CN107241709A provides a method for identifying a USIM card that does not support a 4G network, which determines whether the current USIM card has 4G rights under a specific network by determining whether the USIM card supports LTE-related specific services or has LTE-related documents and data and behaviors during registration under the 4G network, thereby avoiding excessive invalid residence or registration attempts on the 4G network when the USIM card does not have 4G rights.
However, the method still needs to judge whether the USIM card supports the 4G network again after the mobile terminal is rebooted, and a specific method used in a 5G or other mobile communication networks is not described, which affects the efficiency of the mobile terminal and wastes wireless resources of the mobile communication network. In addition, this method does not provide a mechanism to re-evaluate whether the USIM card supports a 4G network.

The method for identifying the SIM/USIM card which does not support the mobile communication network described in the embodiment of the invention is suitable for the mobile terminal. By judging whether the current SIM/USIM card has the authority of the mobile communication network, excessive invalid residence or registration attempts to the mobile communication network when the SIM/USIM card does not have the authority of the mobile communication network are avoided.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a method of identifying a SIM/USIM card that does not support a mobile communication network according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the method for identifying a SIM/USIM card that does not support a mobile communication network according to the embodiment of the present invention includes the following steps:
step 101, judging whether the current SIM/USIM card supports the service related to the mobile communication network or has the file and the data related to the mobile communication network, if the current SIM/USIM card supports the related service or has the related file and the data, entering step 108, otherwise, entering step 102;
step 102, judging whether the SIM/USIM card is in the unsupported list, if so, entering step 109, otherwise, entering step 103;
103, when the mobile terminal tries to register in the mobile communication network, detecting whether the registration is successful, if so, entering step 108, otherwise, entering step 104;
step 104, judging whether the reason of the registration failure belongs to a set of network rejection reasons, if so, entering step 105, otherwise, ending the process;
step 105, accumulating the registration refusal times of the mobile communication network;
step 106, judging whether the registration failure times of the mobile terminal in the mobile communication network reach the set times, if so, entering step 107, otherwise, directly ending the process;
step 107, determining that the SIM/USIM card does not support the mobile communication network, adding the SIM/USIM card to a Non-support list, and then ending the process, wherein the Non-support list is stored in a Non-Volatile random access Memory (NVRAM);
step 108, judging that the SIM/USIM card supports the mobile communication network and ending the process;
step 109, determine that the SIM/USIM card does not support the mobile communication network and end the process.
Once it is determined that the SIM/USIM card does not support the predetermined mobile communication network, the mobile terminal may be disabled from using the capabilities of the mobile communication network and no longer attempts to camp on or register with the mobile communication network. In an embodiment of the present invention, the mobile communication network may be a mobile communication network of a specific generation, for example, a 5G network. The mobile communication network may also be a mobile communication network of a certain standard.
In one embodiment, the user can be reminded after the SIM/USIM card does not support the mobile communication network; and, the user may be prompted to contact the operator to resolve or change cards.
In the embodiment of the invention, the mobile terminal adds the SIM/USIM card which is judged not to support the mobile communication network into the non-support list stored in the NVRAM, so that the SIM/USIM card can be directly judged not to support the mobile communication network by reading the non-support list when a user starts the mobile terminal next time, the SIM/USIM card is prevented from being judged again after being restarted when the user does not have the mobile communication network right, the efficiency of the mobile terminal is improved, the wireless resources of the mobile communication network are saved, and the use experience of the mobile communication network of the user is further improved. Particularly, under the scene of frequent startup and shutdown, the embodiment of the invention can avoid repeated judgment on whether the same SIM/USIM card supports the mobile communication network after restarting.
In step 101, optionally, the determining whether the current SIM/USIM card supports services related to the mobile communication network or files and data related to the mobile communication network exist may include the steps of:
step 110, reading EFust file data in the SIM/USIM card; and
step 111, judging whether the SIM/USIM card supports the services related to the mobile communication network according to the bit value of the byte corresponding to the services related to the mobile communication network in the EFust file data, if so, entering step 108, otherwise, entering step 102.
Alternatively, in step 111, when the mobile communication network is a 5G network, the mobile communication network-related services may include Service n ° 122, Service n ° 123, Service n ° 124, Service n ° 125, Service n ° 126, Service n ° 127, Service n ° 128, Service n ° 129, and Service n ° 130; step 108 may be entered when the bit value of the byte corresponding to the service related to the mobile communication network is 1, otherwise step 102 is entered. In the EFust file data, the names of the services related to the mobile communication network and the corresponding byte bits are shown in table 1 below:
Figure BDA0002347430760000081
table 1
That is, when the bit value of the byte corresponding to any service in table 1 is 1, step 108 may be entered; when the bit values of the bytes corresponding to all services in table 1 are all 0, it may be determined that the current SIM/USIM card is not a new card of the mobile communication network, and step 102 is entered to further determine whether the current SIM/USIM card supports the mobile communication network. It should be noted that the 5G related service may include not only the related service of the 5G network in table 1, but also other services related to the 5G network, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
In step 101, optionally, when the mobile communication network is a 5G network, it is determined whether the current SIM/USIM card supports 5G network-related files and data, which may be determined whether the current SIM/USIM card has 5G technology-related files and data. For example, when the EFust file in the SIM/USIM card has a Service n ° 122 file, it may be determined that the SIM/USIM card supports a 5G network.
In step 102, since the mobile terminal may have stored information of some SIM/USIM cards that do not support the mobile communication network in the non-support list, the non-support list is read to determine whether the SIM/USIM card is in the non-support list.
In step 104, optionally, when the mobile communication network is a 5G network, a set of set network rejection reasons includes #3 (ilegal UE), #6 (ilegal ME), and #7(5GS services not allowed).
In step 106, the set number of times may be set by comprehensively considering factors such as efficiency, engineering experience, and the like.
Alternatively, when The user manually selects a mobile communication network or The operator updates The SIM/USIM card to a support mobile communication network through Over The Air (OTA), The current SIM/USIM card may be deleted from The non-support list. When a user manually searches for a network to select a mobile communication network, since the user wants to attempt to camp-on and register under the mobile communication network, the mobile communication network capability of the current SIM/USIM card should be forbidden, so that the user can re-attempt to camp-on and register under the mobile communication network, and the user can freely select the mobile communication network manually. When the operator updates the authority of the current SIM/USIM card in an OTA mode, namely, the SIM/USIM card which does not support the mobile communication network is updated into the SIM/USIM card which supports the mobile communication network, the terminal can immediately enable the capability of the mobile communication network, so the current SIM/USIM card can be deleted from the non-support list.
In step 107, when it is determined that the current SIM/USIM card does not support the mobile communication network, the mobile terminal should disable the capability of the mobile communication network, attempt camping and registration without the mobile communication network, and store the ID of the SIM/USIM card in an unsupported list, which is stored in the NVRAM of the mobile terminal. The ID of one or more SIM/USIM cards may be held in the non-support list. The information stored in the NVRAM cannot be lost after the mobile terminal is powered off, so that the ID information of the SIM/USIM card is still stored in the non-support list in the NVRAM after the mobile terminal is powered off, and can be acquired by reading the non-support list when the mobile terminal is powered on next time.
Optionally, after determining that the SIM/USIM card does not support the mobile communication network in step 107, the method may further include: and reminding the user that the SIM/USIM card does not support the mobile communication network.
In another embodiment of the present invention, assuming that the mobile terminal is a multimode mobile terminal supporting 5G, a USIM card is inserted, and the threshold N of the number of registration failures is set to 6, the flow of the method for identifying the SIM/USIM card not supporting the mobile communication network is shown in fig. 2, and includes step 201 and step 217.
The following describes in further detail the steps of the method of identifying a SIM/USIM card that does not support a mobile communication network in the embodiment of the present invention:
in step 201, the mobile terminal reads EFust file data in the current USIM card.
In step 202, the mobile terminal determines whether the USIM card supports the 5G added services in table 1 according to the EFust file data in the USIM card, that is, determines whether the values of bits 2-8 of the 16 th byte and bits 1-2 of the 17 th byte (from low to high and counted from 1) of the EFust file data in the USIM card are 1. If the USIM card supports 5G related services, step 216 is entered, and it is determined that the current USIM card supports 5G, and the process ends; if the USIM card does not support 5G related services, step 203 is entered.
In step 203, it is determined that the current USIM card is not a 5G new card, but whether the USIM card supports a 5G network may need further determination.
In step 204, since the mobile terminal may have stored the IDs of some USIM cards that do not support 5G in the unsupported list in the NVRAM, the mobile terminal reads the unsupported list stored in the NVRAM.
In step 205, it is determined whether the current USIM card ID is in the non-support list, if so, step 206 is entered, otherwise, step 208 is entered.
In step 206, it is determined whether the timer corresponding to the current USIM card is timed out, if yes, step 207 is entered, otherwise, step 215 is entered. Whether the preset time length passes after the USIM card is added into the non-support list is determined by judging whether the timer corresponding to the current USIM card is overtime or not. When a predetermined time period has elapsed after the USIM card joins the non-support list, registration of the 5G network may be retried.
In step 207, the current USIM card ID in the non-support list is deleted. And when the timer corresponding to the USIM card is overtime, deleting the USIM card ID from the non-support list, and re-attempting to register the 5G network.
In step 208, other processes, such as searching for a 5G network, etc., are continuously executed according to normal logic. Here, because some operators exist, when a user needs to upgrade to a 5G network, only a specific 5G terminal needs to be used, a mobile phone card does not need to be replaced, and a USIM card in the original 4G era is still used, and the mobile terminal needs to judge whether the current USIM card supports the 5G network according to other processes, so that other processes are executed according to normal logic;
in step 209, an attempt to register the mobile terminal on the 5G network is detected. In one example, the act of the terminal attempting to register on the 5G network includes registering under the 5G network when powered on or reselecting to the 5G network from another access technology.
In step 210, detecting a registration result of the mobile terminal on the 5G network; if the mobile terminal successfully registers on the 5G network, step 216 is entered, and it is determined that the current USIM card supports 5G, and the process is ended; if the mobile terminal fails to register on the 5G network, step 211 is entered.
In step 211, determining whether the reason for the failure of 5G network registration belongs to a set of network rejection reasons, and if yes, entering step 212; otherwise, ending the flow. Here, whether the cause of the registration failure is rejected by the network due to #3(IllegalUE), #6(Illegal ME), or #7(5GS services not allowed), for example.
In step 212, the number of registration failures is incremented by 1.
In step 213, it is determined whether the number of registration failures reaches 6, if yes, step 214 is entered, otherwise, the process is ended. The threshold of the registration failure times can be set by comprehensively considering factors such as efficiency, engineering experience and the like, and the invention is not limited to this.
In step 214, the ID of the current USIM card is stored in the unsupported list and a timer corresponding to the USIM card is started, where the duration of the timer may be preset by comprehensively considering factors such as efficiency and engineering experience, and the unsupported list is stored in the NVRAM and is not lost after shutdown.
In step 215, it is determined that the current USIM card does not have 5G network rights, the 5G capability of the mobile terminal is disabled, and the process ends.
In step 216, it is determined that the current USIM card supports a 5G network, and the process ends.
In step 217, when the user manually selects the 5G network or the operator updates the USIM card to support the 5G network through over-the-air OTA, step 207 is entered to delete the ID of the current USIM card in the non-support list.
According to the method for identifying the SIM/USIM card which does not support the mobile communication network, the timer with the preset duration is started when the SIM/USIM card is added into the non-support list, and the SIM/USIM card can be deleted from the non-support list after the timer is overtime, so that the chance of trying to register the mobile communication network after a certain time is increased, the problem that the mobile communication network cannot be tried to register again after the SIM/USIM card is added into the non-support list due to misjudgment is solved, and the use experience of the mobile communication network of a user is improved.
The invention also provides a method for identifying the SIM/USIM card which does not support the mobile communication network. Fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a method of identifying a SIM/USIM card that does not support a mobile communication network according to still another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 4, the method of identifying a SIM/USIM card that does not support a mobile communication network includes the steps of:
step 401, judging whether the current SIM/USIM card supports the service related to the mobile communication network or has the file and the data related to the mobile communication network, if the current SIM/USIM card supports the related service or has the related file and the data, entering step 408, otherwise, entering step 402;
step 402, judging whether the SIM/USIM card is in the non-support list, if so, entering step 410, otherwise, entering step 403;
step 403, when the mobile terminal tries to register in the mobile communication network, detecting whether the registration is successful, if so, entering step 408, otherwise, entering step 404;
step 404, judging whether the reason of the registration failure belongs to a set of network rejection reasons, if so, entering step 405, otherwise, ending the process;
