In the embodiment of the present invention, the core network element (CN element) may include, but is not limited to, at least one of the following: a core network device, a core network Node, a core network Function, a core network element, a Mobility Management Entity (MME), an Access Mobility Management Function (AMF), a Session Management Function (SMF), a User Plane Function (UPF), a Serving Gateway (Serving GW, SGW), a PDN Gateway (PDN Gateway), a Policy Control Function (Policy Control Function, PCF), a Policy and Charging Rules Function (Policy and Charging Rules Function, PCRF), a GPRS service Support Node (Serving GPRS Support Node, SGSN), a Gateway GPRS Support Node (Gateway GPRS Support Node, GGSN), and a wireless Access network device.
In this embodiment of the present invention, the radio access network element (RAN network element) may include, but is not limited to, at least one of the following: a Radio Access Network device, a Radio Access Network Node, a Radio Access Network function, a Radio Access Network Unit, a 3GPP Radio Access Network, a Non-3GPP Radio Access Network, a Centralized Unit (CU), a Distributed Unit (DU), a base station, an evolved Node B (eNB), a 5G base station (gNB), a Radio Network Controller (RNC), a base station (NodeB), a Non-3GPP Inter Working function (n-3 GPP iwf), an Access Controller (AC) Node, an Access Point (AP) device, or a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Node.
The Base Station may be a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in GSM or CDMA, a Base Station (NodeB) in WCDMA, an evolved Node B (eNB or e-NodeB) in LTE, and a 5G Base Station (gNB), and embodiments of the present invention are not limited thereto.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the terminal may include a relay supporting a terminal function. The terminal may also be referred to as a terminal Device or a User Equipment (UE), where the terminal may be a Mobile phone, a Tablet Personal Computer (Tablet Personal Computer), a Laptop Computer (Laptop Computer), a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), a Mobile Internet Device (MID), a Wearable Device (Wearable Device), or a vehicle-mounted Device, and it should be noted that a specific type of the terminal is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
In the embodiment of the present invention, it should be noted that the capability signaling optimization capability of the terminal and the capability of other terminals are independently defined capability Information Elements (IEs). The terminal reports the capability signaling optimization capability, and the network can decide whether to distribute the capability identification information or whether to acquire the capability identification information from the terminal according to the capability signaling optimization capability.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a network system applicable to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, including a terminal 11, a RAN network element 12, and a CN network element 13, where the terminal 11 may communicate with the RAN network element 12, for example: the terminal capability or the terminal capability identification information, etc. are sent to the RAN network element 12, and of course, the terminal 11 may also communicate with the CN network element 13 through the RAN network element 12, for example: and sending the terminal capability or the terminal capability identification information and the like to the CN network element 13. In addition, the RAN network element 12 may communicate with the CN network element 13, for example: and sending capability signaling optimization capability information, indication information of whether to support capability signaling optimization, terminal capability identification information, terminal capability information without terminal capability identification mapping, and the like to the CN network element 13.
The following describes a capability acquisition method according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart of a capability obtaining method according to an embodiment of the present invention. The capability acquisition method of the present embodiment may be applied to the first communication device. Wherein the first communication device may include, but is not limited to, at least one of: as shown in fig. 2, the terminal, the relay with terminal capability, the terminal with relay capability, the RAN network element (e.g., gNB, eNB) and the CN network element (e.g., AMF, MME) include the following steps:
step 201, obtaining capability request information, wherein the capability request information includes: requesting to acquire at least one of indication information of complete terminal capability, indication information of capability request screening parameters, skipped or ignored capability request screening parameters, a first condition, whether a backoff frequency band reports the indication information, indication information of terminal capability corresponding to a terminal capability identifier, terminal capability identifier information and information whether capability signaling optimization is supported, wherein the indication information of the capability request screening parameters is used for indicating to skip or ignore the capability request screening parameters;
and step 202, executing the relevant operation of the terminal capability according to the capability request information.
In one embodiment, the capability request information may be acquired from at least one of: RAN network element, CN network element, AMF, MME, gNB and eNB. For example, when the first communication device is a terminal, the capability request information may be received from a CN network element or a RAN network element. For example, when the first communication device is a RAN network element, the capability request information may be received from a CN network element or other RAN network elements. For example, when the first communication device is a CN network element, the capability request information may be received from other CN network elements or RAN network elements.
In one embodiment, the terminal capability identification information may be a current terminal capability identification. The current terminal capability identification may be understood as at least one of: the terminal capability identification information corresponding to the current terminal capability, the valid terminal capability identification information, the latest terminal capability identification sent to the network by the terminal, the latest terminal capability identification allocated by the network, the terminal capability identification information sent by the first communication equipment, and the latest terminal capability identification information sent by the first communication equipment. Further, the indication information for obtaining the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier may be the indication information for obtaining the terminal capability corresponding to the current terminal capability identifier of the terminal.
In one embodiment, the terminal may be configured with multiple capability identifiers, the capabilities of the terminals mapped by different capability identifiers are different, and the complete terminal capability may not be the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier. It is understood that the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier can be ensured to be obtained by displaying and indicating the indication information of all the terminal capabilities corresponding to the terminal capability identifier.
In one embodiment, the operation related to the terminal capability may also be referred to as an operation related to terminal capability acquisition.
In one embodiment, the operation related to the terminal capability acquisition, such as acquiring the complete terminal capability, may be performed by requesting the indication information of the complete terminal capability. For example: the first communication device is a RAN network element. When the CN network element does not have the terminal capability set mapped by the terminal capability identifier information, the CN network element may instruct the RAN network element to acquire the complete capability set of the terminal. It is understood that, after receiving the complete capability set of the terminal sent by the RAN network element, the CN network element may establish a mapping relationship between the terminal capability identifier and the complete capability set. In this embodiment, the CN network element may instruct the RAN network element to acquire the complete capability set of the terminal. In this embodiment, the interface message (e.g., S1 message (e.g., initial UE context setup request message) and/or NG message (e.g., initial UE context setup request message)) between the CN network element and the RAN network may include indication information requesting to acquire the complete terminal capability. For example, the first communication device is a terminal. When the RAN network element does not have the terminal capability set mapped by the terminal capability identification information, the RAN network element may instruct the terminal to report the complete capability set of the terminal. It is understood that after receiving the complete capability set of the terminal, the RAN network element may establish a mapping relationship between the terminal capability identifier and the complete capability set and/or send the acquired terminal capability to the CN network element. In this embodiment, the UE capability query (UE capability inquiry) message may include indication information requesting to acquire the complete terminal capability.
In another embodiment, the terminal capability may be acquired through the terminal capability identification information. For example: the first communication device is a terminal. When the RAN network element acquires the terminal capability identification information of the terminal but the terminal capability identification information has no terminal capability mapped, or when the RAN network element acquires information that the terminal supports capability signaling optimization, the RAN network element may request the terminal capability from the terminal according to the terminal capability identification information. The terminal may return the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier to the RAN network element according to the terminal capability identifier information indicated by the RAN network element, where the terminal capability may be a terminal capability set. In this embodiment, the terminal capability query message may include the terminal capability identifier.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be performed by acquiring the indication information of the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier, for example, acquiring the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier. For example: the first communication device is a terminal. The RAN network element may request the terminal capability from the terminal according to an indication information, where the indication information is used to request the terminal capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier from the terminal. The terminal can return the terminal capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier to the RAN network element according to the indication information. The indication information may be 1-bit indication information, but is not limited thereto. In this embodiment, the terminal capability query message may include indication information for acquiring the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier.
In another embodiment, whether the supported information is optimized through capability signaling can be used for executing the related operation of terminal capability acquisition. Wherein the information indicating whether the capability signaling optimization is supported or not may refer to at least one of: the terminal has the capability signaling optimization capability, the network has the capability signaling optimization capability, and both the terminal and the network have the capability signaling optimization capability. For example: the first communication device is a terminal. The terminal may obtain information whether capability signaling optimization is supported from a CN network element (e.g. during registration) or a RAN network element (e.g. RRC procedure, system message broadcast). When the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported indicates support, and when a capability acquisition request (such as an RRC message of UE capability query) sent by a network is received, the terminal can skip or ignore the capability request screening parameter, and return the terminal capability mapped by the current terminal capability identifier or the complete terminal capability to the network. The complete terminal capability may be a complete terminal capability under certain conditions. The skip or ignore capability request screening parameter may be one or more request screening parameters.
In another embodiment, the indication information of the screening parameter may be a related operation of terminal capability acquisition through the capability request. For example: the first communication device is a terminal. And the terminal skips or ignores the capability request screening parameters according to the indication information of the capability request screening parameters and returns the complete terminal capability to the network.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be performed by skipping or ignoring the capability request screening parameter. For example: the first communication device is a terminal. And the terminal skips or ignores the capability request screening parameter according to the indicated skipped or ignored capability request screening parameter, and returns the complete terminal capability or the terminal capability meeting certain conditions to the network. The certain condition may be a capability request screening parameter that does not indicate skipping or ignoring.
In another embodiment, the capability request screening parameter may be understood as at least one of the following: and sending the terminal capability and the complete capability without reporting according to the requirement of the capability screening parameter. The capability currently sent can be used for reducing the purpose of capability signaling overhead through the capability request screening parameters. In addition, the capability request screening parameter may also be referred to as a capability reduction parameter.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be performed by instructing the first condition, such as acquiring the terminal capability satisfying the first condition.
In one embodiment, the first condition may be pre-configured.
Optionally, the first condition may include at least one of: information of a network operator, identification information of a network, network type information, band information.
The network type information may comprise at least one of: radio access technology Type (RAT Type), radio access network Type (RAN Type) information, communication network Type information, network age information (e.g., 5g,4g,3g, 2g). Specifically, the radio access technology type information, the radio access network type information, the communication network type information, and the network age information are as described above, and are not described herein again. The network type information may be used to indicate to acquire the terminal capability corresponding to the network type at the terminal (for example, to specify the complete terminal capability corresponding to the network type). The network identification information may be used to indicate to acquire terminal capabilities corresponding to the network indicated by the network identification information at the terminal (for example, complete terminal capabilities corresponding to a specified network). The network operation subject information may be used to indicate to acquire terminal capabilities corresponding to all networks of the terminal under the network operation subject (for example, complete terminal capabilities corresponding to all networks under a specified network operation subject). In this embodiment, the terminal capability satisfying the first condition may be a complete terminal capability satisfying the first condition or a terminal capability satisfying the first condition among terminal capabilities mapped by the terminal capability identifier.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be executed by indicating whether the fallback frequency band reports the indication information. The terminal may determine whether to report the terminal capability corresponding to the fallback frequency band according to the indication information whether the fallback frequency band is reported. Such as supported Carrier Aggregation (Carrier Aggregation) band combining and non-Carrier aggregated bands.
Optionally, the capability request screening parameter includes at least one of:
reducing the related screening parameters;
band combination capability reduction information;
carrier aggregation capability reduction information;
dual connectivity capability reduction information;
indication information requesting to skip a combination of fallback bands;
requesting information of a differential fallback band combination;
requesting information of the number of uplink maximum carrier units;
requesting information of the number of downlink maximum carrier units;
indication information requesting a reduction of the discontinuous band combination;
requesting information of a frequency band;
information of a frequency band of a requested MR-DC (Multi-RAT Dual Connectivity);
requested network type information.
In one embodiment, the screening parameters related to capability reduction refer to parameters for screening capabilities in order to reduce capability reporting signaling. The terminal capabilities that satisfy the screening parameters associated with the capability reduction may be a subset of the full terminal capabilities.
Optionally, the operation related to the terminal capability includes at least one of:
transmitting the complete terminal capability;
transmitting a terminal capability satisfying a first condition;
sending the complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested network;
sending the complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested radio access technology type;
sending the complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested frequency band;
sending the terminal capability corresponding to the capability identification;
skipping or ignoring capability request screening parameters;
transmitting the differentiated terminal capabilities;
sending the updated terminal capability identifier;
and determining whether to report the terminal capability corresponding to the fallback frequency band according to the indication information whether the fallback frequency band is reported or not.
Optionally, when the predetermined condition is satisfied, the terminal may further return at least one of the following: differentiated (delta) terminal capabilities, updated terminal capability identification information. The predetermined condition may include at least one of: the terminal has capacity change, the current terminal capacity of the terminal is inconsistent with the capacity mapped by the current capacity identifier of the terminal, the updated capacity identifier information is not sent to the network, the capacity identifier for mapping the current terminal capacity is not sent to the network, and the capacity identifier for mapping the current terminal capacity is not obtained from the network. In one embodiment, when returning the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier, the terminal may further return at least one of the following: differentiated terminal capabilities, updated terminal capability identification information.
Optionally, the complete terminal capability includes at least one of the following:
the terminal correspondingly supports the complete terminal capability in the service network;
the terminal correspondingly supports the complete terminal capability in the wireless access technology type;
the terminal correspondingly supports complete terminal capability in the frequency band;
and the terminal correspondingly supports the complete terminal capability in the network operation main body.
In one embodiment, the complete terminal capability supported by the terminal in the service network may be all terminal capabilities supported by the terminal in the service network. The serving network may be the network of the currently serving terminal. It will be appreciated that the terminal may have different terminal capabilities under different service networks. However, as long as all terminal capabilities of the terminal in the service network are acquired and the mapping relationship between the terminal capability identifier and the acquired terminal capability is established, it can be ensured that the terminal capabilities mapped by the capability identifier are consistent in the service network. The serving network may be one or more serving networks. The terminal capabilities of the terminal under some N (N is an integer equal to or greater than 1) service networks may be a subset of the terminal capabilities.
In one embodiment, the complete terminal capability that the terminal correspondingly supports in the network operator may be all terminal capabilities that the terminal correspondingly supports in all service networks of the network operator. The network operator may be a network operator of a serving network. It is understood that one network operator may operate multiple networks, and a terminal may have different terminal capabilities in different service networks. However, as long as all terminal capabilities of the terminal under all service networks of the network operation subject are obtained, and the mapping relationship between the terminal capability identifier and the obtained terminal capability is established, it can be ensured that the terminal capabilities mapped by the capability identifier are consistent under the network operation subject. The network operator may be one or more of the network operators. The terminal capabilities of the terminal corresponding to certain N network operation subjects may be a subset of the terminal capabilities.
In one embodiment, the complete terminal capability supported by the terminal corresponding to the radio access technology type may be all terminal capabilities supported by the terminal corresponding to the radio access technology type. The radio access technology type may be a radio access technology type of a current serving network. It is to be understood that the terminals may have different terminal capabilities under different radio access technologies. However, as long as all terminal capabilities of the terminal in the wireless access technology are acquired and the mapping relationship between the terminal capability identifier and the acquired terminal capability is established, it can be ensured that the terminal capabilities mapped by the capability identifier are consistent in the wireless access technology. The radio access technology may be one or more of the radio access technologies. The terminal capabilities for the terminal in certain N radio access technologies may be a subset of the terminal capabilities.
In one embodiment, the full terminal capability supported by the terminal in the frequency band may be all terminal capabilities supported by the terminal in the frequency band. The frequency band may be a frequency band supported by a current serving network. It will be appreciated that a terminal may have different terminal capabilities in different frequency bands. However, as long as all terminal capabilities of the terminal in the frequency band are obtained and the mapping relationship between the terminal capability identifier and the obtained frequency band is established, it can be ensured that the terminal capabilities mapped by the capability identifier are consistent in the frequency band. The frequency band may be one or more of the network operators. The terminal capabilities of the terminal corresponding to a certain N frequency bands may be a subset of the terminal capabilities.
In one embodiment, the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal serving the network, the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal operating subject in the network, the complete terminal capability corresponding to the radio access technology type, and the complete terminal capability corresponding to the frequency band may be a subset of all terminal capabilities supported by the terminal.
Optionally, the terminal capability meeting the first condition may include at least one of:
the terminal appoints the terminal capability supported by the network correspondingly in the network identification information;
the terminal appoints the terminal capability correspondingly supported by the network operation subject in the network operation information;
and the terminal appoints the terminal capability correspondingly supported by the network type in the network type information.
In one embodiment, the terminal capability satisfying the first condition may be a complete terminal capability satisfying the first condition or a terminal capability satisfying the first condition among terminal capabilities mapped by the terminal capability identifier.
It should be noted that, various optional implementations described in the embodiment of the present invention may be implemented in combination with each other or separately, and the embodiment of the present invention is not limited to this.
By the capability obtaining method of the embodiment, the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier or the complete terminal capability can be obtained, the mapping relation between the terminal capability identifier and the terminal capability is established, the capability signaling optimization function is supported, the capability of the terminal can be accurately mapped and provided, the signaling overhead can be effectively reduced, and the transmission overhead brought by the reporting capability can be reduced.
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a flowchart of another capability obtaining method provided by the embodiment of the present invention. The capability acquiring method of this embodiment may be applied to the second communication device, and the second communication device may include, but is not limited to, at least one of the following: a terminal, a RAN network element (e.g. gbb, eNB) or a CN network element (e.g. AMF, MME), as shown in fig. 3, includes the following steps:
step 301, obtaining first information, wherein the first information includes: at least one of capability signaling optimization capability information, information whether capability signaling optimization is supported, terminal capability identification information without mapping and terminal capability information;
and 302, performing a first relevant operation of the terminal capability according to the first information.
In one embodiment, the obtaining of the first information may be obtaining from at least one of: RAN network element, CN network element, AMF, MME, gNB, eNB. For example, when the first communication device is a RAN network element, the first information may be received from a CN network element or other RAN network elements. For example, when the first communication device is a CN network element, the first information may be received from other CN network elements or RAN network elements.
In one embodiment, the terminal capability identification information may be a current terminal capability identification. The current terminal capability identification may be understood as at least one of: the terminal capacity identification information corresponding to the current terminal capacity, the effective terminal capacity identification information, the latest terminal capacity identification sent by the terminal to the network, the latest terminal capacity identification allocated by the network, the terminal capacity identification information sent by the first communication equipment and the latest terminal capacity identification information sent by the first communication equipment. Further, the indication information for obtaining the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier may be the indication information for obtaining the terminal capability corresponding to the current terminal capability identifier of the terminal. In one embodiment, the terminal may be configured with multiple capability identifiers, the capability sets mapped by different capability identifiers are different, and the complete terminal capability may not be the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier. The terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier can be ensured to be obtained by displaying the indication information indicating all the terminal capabilities corresponding to the terminal capability identifier.
In one embodiment, the capability signaling optimization capability is a radio capability, and the RAN network element may obtain the capability signaling optimization capability from the terminal, wherein the capability signaling optimization may be independent of radio capabilities other than other radio capabilities. In another embodiment, the capability signaling optimization capability is a NAS capability, and the RAN network element cannot distinguish whether the terminal is a terminal that does not support capability signaling optimization (such as legacy UE) or a terminal that supports capability signaling optimization.
In one embodiment, the first correlation operation may be performed by using terminal capability identification information. For example, the second communication device is a RAN network element. When the terminal capability identification information is acquired and the terminal capability identification has no mapped terminal capability, the RAN network element does not contain the capability request screening parameter or sets the capability request screening parameter as no or false when the terminal capability is acquired.
In one embodiment, the first correlation operation may be performed by optimizing capability information through capability signaling. The capability signaling optimization capability information may be used to indicate whether the terminal has capability signaling optimization capability. For example, the second communication device is a RAN network element. When the capability information of the terminal capability signaling optimization indicates that the terminal has the capability of the capability signaling optimization, the RAN network element does not include the capability request screening parameter or sets the capability request screening parameter to be no or false when acquiring the terminal capability.
In one embodiment, the first correlation operation may be performed by indication information of whether capability signaling optimization is supported. Wherein, the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported may refer to at least one of the following: the terminal has the capability signaling optimization capability, the network has the capability signaling optimization capability, and both the terminal and the network have the capability signaling optimization capability. For example, the second communication device is a RAN network element. The RAN may obtain information whether capability signaling optimization is supported from a CN network element (such as an initial UE context setup request message, a UE context modification request message) or other RAN network elements (such as a handover request message). When the indication information indicating whether the capability signaling optimization is supported indicates support, the RAN network element may request to acquire the complete terminal capability, does not include the capability request screening parameter, sets the capability request screening parameter to no or false, or requests to acquire the complete terminal capability under a certain condition when acquiring the terminal capability. For example: and acquiring the complete terminal capability of the wireless access technology type supported by the network operation main body.
In one embodiment, the information of the terminal capability identifier without mapping may be obtained by at least one of: acquiring information of terminal capability of the terminal capability identifier without mapping by receiving indication information of terminal capability of the terminal capability identifier without mapping, acquiring information of terminal capability of the terminal capability identifier without mapping by the information of terminal capability and the terminal capability identifier, acquiring information of terminal capability of the terminal capability identifier without mapping by not including the terminal capability in the indication information (such as initial UE context establishment request information), acquiring information of terminal capability of the terminal without mapping by the terminal capability identifier, and acquiring information of terminal capability of the terminal without mapping by the indication information,
In one embodiment, the first correlation operation may be performed by information that identifies unmapped terminal capabilities by terminal capabilities. The information of the terminal capability without mapping of the terminal capability identifier may refer to a terminal capability of which the network side (e.g., RAN network element and/or CN network element) does not have mapping of the terminal capability identifier. For example, the second communication device is a RAN network element. When the terminal capability information without mapping of the terminal capability identifier is obtained, the RAN network element does not contain the capability request screening parameter or sets the capability request screening parameter to be negative or false when the terminal capability is obtained.
In one embodiment, the information of the non-terminal capability can be obtained by at least one of the following: the method comprises the steps of obtaining the non-terminal capability information by receiving the displayed indication information of the non-terminal capability, and obtaining the non-terminal capability information by not containing the terminal capability in the indication information (such as the initial UE context establishment request information). In one embodiment, the first correlation operation may be performed by information of no terminal capability.
Optionally, the performing the first relevant operation of the terminal capability includes at least one of:
determining capability request information;
sending the capability request information to a first target end;
sending capability request information to acquire terminal capability;
the terminal capability does not contain capability request screening parameters when being obtained;
setting a capability request screening parameter;
and acquiring complete terminal capability.
Specifically, the complete terminal capability may be as described in the complete terminal capability in the embodiment of fig. 2, which is not described herein again.
Specifically, the terminal capability meeting the first condition may be as described in the terminal capability meeting the first condition in the embodiment of fig. 2, and details are not repeated here.
In one embodiment, acquiring the complete terminal capability may be understood as requesting to acquire the complete terminal capability. In an embodiment, the acquiring of the complete terminal capability may acquire the complete terminal capability in a one-time acquisition manner. In another embodiment, the acquiring the complete terminal capability may be acquiring the terminal capability subsets in a multiple-time acquiring manner, and then combining the terminal capability subsets into the complete terminal capability. It is understood that, for a one-time acquisition mode, the complete terminal capability can be acquired by screening the parameters without including the capability request. For multiple acquisition modes, the capability request screening parameters can still be set. And different values of the screening parameters are set by the capability request, so that a subset of the terminal capabilities is obtained and then combined into the complete terminal capabilities.
Specifically, the Capability request screening parameter may not be included in the UE Capability query (e.g., UE Capability inquiry) message. It is understood that when there is no capability to filter the parameters, the terminal may return the complete terminal capability or the terminal capability mapped by the current capability identifier.
Specifically, the parameter that does not include the capability request screening parameter when the terminal capability is obtained may be: when the related message of acquiring the terminal capability (such as a UE capability query message) is sent, the related message of acquiring the terminal capability does not contain the capability request screening parameter. In one embodiment, the operation related to the terminal capability acquisition, such as acquiring the complete terminal capability, may be performed by requesting the indication information of the complete terminal capability. For example: the second communication equipment is a CN network element. When the CN network element does not have the terminal capability set mapped by the terminal capability identifier information, the CN network element may instruct the RAN network element to acquire the complete capability set of the terminal. The CN network element can establish the mapping relation between the terminal capability identification and the complete capability set after receiving the complete capability set of the terminal sent by the RAN network element. In this embodiment, the CN network element can indicate the RAN network element to acquire the complete capability set of the terminal. In this embodiment, the interface message (e.g., S1 message (e.g., initial UE context setup request message) and/or NG message (e.g., initial UE context setup request message)) between the CN network element and the RAN network may include indication information requesting to acquire the complete terminal capability. For example, the second communication device is a RAN network element. When the RAN network element does not have the terminal capability set mapped by the terminal capability identification information, the RAN network element may instruct the terminal to report the complete capability set of the terminal. After receiving the complete capability set of the terminal, the RAN network element may establish a mapping relationship between the terminal capability identifier and the complete capability set and/or send the acquired terminal capability to the CN network element. In this embodiment, the UE capability query message may include indication information requesting to acquire the complete terminal capability.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be performed through the terminal capability identification information. For example, the second communication device is a RAN network element. When the RAN network element acquires the terminal capability identification information of the terminal but the terminal capability identification information has no terminal capability mapped or when the RAN network element acquires information that the terminal supports capability signaling optimization, the RAN network element may request the terminal capability from the terminal according to the terminal capability identification information. The terminal may return the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier to the RAN network element according to the terminal capability identifier information indicated by the RAN network element, where the terminal capability may be a terminal capability set. In this embodiment, the terminal capability query message may include terminal capability identification information.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be performed by acquiring the indication information of the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier, for example, acquiring the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier. For example, the second communication device is a RAN network element. The RAN network element may request the terminal capability from the terminal according to an indication information, where the indication information is used to request the terminal capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier from the terminal. The terminal can return the terminal capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier to the RAN network element according to the indication information. The indication information may be 1-bit indication information, but is not limited thereto. In this embodiment, the terminal capability query message may include indication information for acquiring the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier.
In another embodiment, whether the supported information is optimized through capability signaling can be used for executing the related operation of terminal capability acquisition. Wherein the information indicating whether the capability signaling optimization is supported or not may refer to at least one of: the terminal has the capability signaling optimization capability, the network has the capability signaling optimization capability, and both the terminal and the network have the capability signaling optimization capability. For example: the second communication equipment is a CN network element. The CN network element may send information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported to the terminal in the registration process. When the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported indicates support, and when a capability acquisition request (such as an RRC message of UE capability query) sent by the network is received, the terminal may skip or ignore the capability request screening parameter, and return a terminal capability set or a complete capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier to the network. Such as: the second communication device is a RAN network element. The RAN network element may send (such as broadcast in system information, sent in RRC message 5, or sent in a UE capability query message) to the terminal information whether capability signaling optimization is supported. When the information about whether the capability signaling optimization is supported indicates support, and when a capability acquisition request (e.g., RRC message for UE capability query) sent by the network is received, the terminal may ignore the capability request screening parameter, and return to the network a terminal capability set, a complete terminal capability set, or a complete terminal capability meeting the first condition, where the terminal capability set is mapped by the current terminal capability identifier.
In another embodiment, the terminal capability may be acquired through the indication information of the capability request filtering parameter. For example: the second communication device is a RAN network element or a CN network element. And the second communication equipment sends the indication information of the capability request screening parameters to the terminal. And the terminal skips or ignores the capability request screening parameters according to the indication information of the capability request screening parameters and returns the complete terminal capability to the network.
In another embodiment, the screening parameters may be requested by skipping or ignoring the capability to perform the operation related to the terminal capability acquisition. For example: the second communication device is a RAN network element. The RAN network element indicates to the terminal the skipped or ignored capability request screening parameter. And the terminal skips or ignores the capability request screening parameter according to the indicated skipped or ignored capability request screening parameter, and returns the complete terminal capability or the terminal capability meeting certain conditions to the network. The certain condition may be a capability request screening parameter that does not indicate skipping or ignoring.
In another embodiment, the capability request screening parameter may be understood as at least one of the following: and sending the terminal capability and the complete capability without reporting according to the requirement of the capability screening parameter. The capability currently sent can be used for reducing the purpose of capability signaling overhead through the capability request screening parameters. In addition, the capability request screening parameter may also be referred to as a capability reduction parameter.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be performed by instructing the first condition, such as acquiring the terminal capability satisfying the first condition. The first condition may include at least one of: information of a network operation subject, identification information of a network, and network type information. The network type information may comprise at least one of: radio access technology Type (RAT Type) information, radio access network Type (RAN Type) information, communication network Type information, network age information (e.g., 5g,4g,3g, 2g). Specifically, the radio access technology type information, the radio access network type information, the communication network type information, and the network age information are as described above, and are not described herein again. The network type information may be used to indicate to acquire the terminal capability corresponding to the network type at the terminal (for example, to specify the complete terminal capability corresponding to the network type). The network identification information may be used to indicate to acquire the terminal capability corresponding to the network indicated by the network identification information at the terminal (for example, to specify the complete terminal capability corresponding to the network). The network operation subject information may be used to indicate to acquire terminal capabilities corresponding to all networks of the terminal under the network operation subject (for example, complete terminal capabilities corresponding to all networks under a specified network operation subject). In this embodiment, the terminal capability satisfying the first condition may be a complete terminal capability satisfying the first condition or a terminal capability satisfying the first condition among terminal capabilities mapped by the terminal capability identifier. In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be executed by indicating whether the fallback frequency band reports the indication information. The terminal may determine whether to report the terminal capability corresponding to the fallback frequency band according to the indication information whether the fallback frequency band is reported. Such as supported Carrier Aggregation (Carrier Aggregation) band combining and non-Carrier aggregated bands.
Optionally, the capability request screening parameter includes at least one of:
capacity reduction related screening parameters;
band combination capability reduction information;
carrier aggregation capability reduction information;
dual connectivity capability reduction information;
indication information requesting to skip a combination of fallback bands;
requesting information of a differential fallback band combination;
requesting information of the number of uplink maximum carrier units;
requesting information of the number of downlink maximum carrier units;
indication information requesting a reduction of a non-contiguous frequency band combination;
requesting information of a frequency band;
information of a frequency band of the requested MR-DC;
network type information is requested.
Further, the band combination capability reduction information may reduce a partial band combination capability from a band combination capability supported by the terminal, and the carrier aggregation capability reduction information reduces a partial carrier aggregation capability from a carrier aggregation capability supported by the terminal, and the dual connectivity capability reduction information reduces a partial connectivity capability from a dual connectivity capability supported by the terminal.
Further, the indication information (e.g., request Skip Fallback Comb, request Skip Fallback band combination) requesting to Skip the Fallback band combination may be used to indicate the terminal to Skip the Fallback band combination in the capability signaling. The fallback band combination may be a band combination supported by default by the terminal. In order to reduce the overhead of capability reporting, when the indication information is true, the terminal may not send a fallback band combination. However, if the number of MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) supported on the fallback band is different, reporting is also required.
In one embodiment, to obtain the complete terminal capability, the set capability request filtering parameter includes at least one of:
not including indication information requesting to skip a combination of fallback bands;
setting indication information whether to request to skip a fallback band combination to false or no;
and sending whether the backspacing frequency band reports the indication information. For example, indicating that the number of MIMO supported on the fallback frequency band is not reported simultaneously.
It is understood that when the number of supported MIMO is the same, the network can derive the fallback band combination supported by the terminal even though the fallback band combination is not reported. When the number of the supported MIMO is different, the terminal reports the backspacing frequency band combination according to the backspacing frequency band reporting indication information, and the network can also know the complete capability of the terminal.
Further, information requesting a differential Fallback frequency band combination (e.g., request Diff Fallback Comb List) may be used for the terminal to exclude the Fallback frequency band combination supported by the terminal and identical to the indicated frequency band combination
Further, the information requesting the number of uplink maximum carrier units (carrier units may be referred to as component carriers (hereinafter abbreviated CCs), carrier components, or carriers) may be used to indicate the support capability provided at the number of uplink maximum carrier units, such as supported CA band combinations and non-CA bands. The maximum number of carrier units supported by a terminal is diverse. But a network (e.g., a base station) may only support simultaneous configuration of up to M CCs for a terminal. In order to reduce the overhead of capability reporting, when the maximum number of uplink carrier units requested by the network is N, even if the terminal has the capability of more than N CCs, the terminal only refers to the capability of reporting the maximum number of CCs requested by the network, such as frequency band combination.
In one embodiment, in order to obtain the complete terminal capability, the set capability request filtering parameter may include at least one of the following:
setting the number of the maximum carrier wave units requesting uplink as a maximum value;
and setting the maximum uplink carrier wave unit number as the maximum carrier wave unit number supported by the network of the network operation main body.
It is understood that, when the maximum number of carrier units in the network of the network operator is unbalanced, the maximum number of carrier units supported by the network of the network operator is requested to ensure that the capabilities of the terminals in the network of the network operator are the same. The terminal capability set mapped by the capability identification of the terminal is consistent in the network of the network operator.
Further, the requested downlink maximum number of carrier units may be used to indicate the capability of providing the downlink maximum number of carrier units, such as supported CA band combinations and non-CA bands. The maximum number of carrier units supported by a terminal is diverse. However, a network (e.g., a base station) may only be able to simultaneously configure up to M CCs for the terminal. In order to reduce the overhead of capability reporting, when the maximum number of uplink carrier units requested by the network is N, even if the terminal has the capability of more than N CCs, the terminal only refers to the capability of reporting the maximum number of CCs requested by the network, such as frequency band combination.
In one embodiment, in order to obtain the complete terminal capability, the set capability request filtering parameter may include at least one of the following:
setting the number of the maximum carrier wave units requested to be downlink as a maximum value;
and setting the number of the maximum carrier wave units requested to be downlink as the maximum carrier wave unit number supported by the network of the network operation main body.
It is understood that when the maximum number of carrier units in the network of the network operator is not uniform, the terminal may be guaranteed to have the same capability in the network of the network operator by requesting the maximum number of carrier units supported by the network of the network operator. The terminal capability set mapped by the capability identity of the terminal is consistent in the network of the network operator.
Further, indication information (such as request Reduced Intnon Cont Comb) requesting for Reduced discontinuous band combination may be used for reporting of the Reduced discontinuous band combination.
In one embodiment, in order to obtain the complete terminal capability, the set capability request filtering parameter may include at least one of the following:
not including indication information requesting a reduction of the non-contiguous band combination;
the indication information whether to request a reduction of the non-contiguous band combination is set to false or no.
In one embodiment, the requested band information may include band information of the requested MR-DC. The requested band information may indicate a CA band combination and a non-CA band that the terminal provides support in the requested band.
In one embodiment, in order to obtain the complete terminal capability, the set capability request filtering parameter may include at least one of the following:
the requested band information includes all band information;
the requested band information includes all band information supported by the network of the network operator;
it is understood that the frequency bands supported by the networks of different network operators may be different, and it is possible to ensure that the capabilities of the terminal in the network of the network operator are the same by requesting all the frequency band information supported by the network of the network operator. The terminal capability set mapped by the capability identification of the terminal is consistent in the network of the network operator.
Further, the requested network type may include one of: radio access technology Type (RAT Type), radio access network Type (RAN Type), communication network Type, network age information (e.g., 5G,4G,3G, 2G). The network type of the request may be used to indicate the capability to obtain support at the terminal under the network type.
In one embodiment, in order to obtain the complete terminal capability, the set capability request filtering parameter may include at least one of the following:
the requested network type includes all network types;
the requested network type contains all network types supported by the network of the network operator.
It is understood that the network types supported by the networks of different network operators may be different, and by requesting all the network types supported by the network of the network operator, it may be ensured that the terminal capabilities are the same in the network of the network operator. The terminal capability set mapped by the capability identification of the terminal is consistent in the network of the network operator.
In one embodiment, the first target may be at least one of: the RAN network element, the CN network element, and the terminal, for example, the second communication device is the RAN network element. The RAN network element may send the capability request information to the terminal and/or the CN network element. For example, the second communication device is a CN network element. And the CN network element sends the capability request information to the RAN network element and/or the terminal.
In one embodiment, the non-capability-request-included screening parameter may be at least one of non-capability-request-included screening parameters. Specifically, the non-inclusive capability request screening parameter may include at least one of: does not contain screening parameters related to capacity reduction; not including the band combination capability reduction information; not including carrier aggregation capability reduction information; does not contain dual connectivity capability reduction information; not including indication information requesting to skip a fallback band combination; not including information requesting a differential fallback band combination; the information of requesting the maximum uplink carrier unit number is not included; the information of requesting the number of the downlink maximum carrier wave units is not included; not including indication information requesting a reduced non-contiguous band combination; does not contain information of the requested band; does not contain information of the frequency band of the requested MR-DC; does not contain the requesting network type information.
In one embodiment, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to no or false may be setting at least one of the capability request screening parameters to no or false. Specifically, setting the capability request screening parameter to no or false may include at least one of: setting indication information whether to request to skip a fallback band combination to false or no; the indication information requesting a reduction of the non-contiguous band combination is set to false or no.
In one embodiment, the setting of the capability request screening parameters to the maximum value may be setting at least one of the capability request screening parameters to the maximum value. Specifically, setting the capability request screening parameter to a maximum value may include at least one of: and setting the maximum number of the requested uplink maximum carrier wave units as a maximum value. And setting the number of the requested downlink maximum carrier wave units as the maximum value.
In an embodiment, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to include all values may be setting at least one of the capability request screening parameters to all values thereof. Specifically, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to include all values may include at least one of the following: the requested band information includes all band information; the requested network type includes all network types; requested radio access technology type all radio access technology types.
In one embodiment, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to the maximum value supported by the service network may be setting at least one of the request screening parameters to the maximum value supported by the service network. Specifically, setting the capability request screening parameter to the maximum value supported by the service network may include at least one of: setting the number of the maximum carrier wave units requested to be uplink as the maximum carrier wave unit number supported by the service network; and setting the number of the maximum carrier wave units requested to be downlink as the maximum carrier wave unit number supported by the service network.
In an embodiment, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to include all values supported by the serving network may be setting at least one of the request screening parameters to include all values supported by the serving network. Specifically, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to include all values supported by the service network may include at least one of the following: the requested band information includes all band information supported by the service network; the requested network type includes all network types supported by the serving network; the requested radio access technology type includes all radio access technology types supported by the serving network.
In an embodiment, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to include all values of the network support of the network operator may be setting at least one of the capability request screening parameters to include a maximum value of the network support of the network operator. Specifically, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to include the maximum value supported by the network as the network operation subject may include at least one of the following: setting the maximum number of the carrier wave units requesting uplink as the maximum number of the carrier wave units supported by the network of the network operation main body; and setting the number of the maximum carrier wave units requested to be downlink as the maximum carrier wave unit number supported by the network of the network operation main body.
In an embodiment, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to include all values supported by the network as the network operator may be setting at least one of the capability request screening parameters to include all values supported by the network as the network operator. Specifically, the setting of the capability request screening parameter to include all values supported by the network as the network operator may include at least one of the following: the requested band information includes all band information supported by the network of the network operator; the requested network type includes all network types supported by the network of the network operator; the requested radio access technology type includes all radio access technology types supported by the network of the network operator.
Optionally, the method may further include receiving second information, where the second information may include at least one of:
a complete terminal capability;
a terminal capability satisfying a first condition;
a complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested radio access technology type;
the complete terminal capability in the requested band;
the terminal capability corresponding to the capability identifier;
differential terminal capabilities;
and updating the terminal capability identification.
In an embodiment, the receiving complete terminal capability may be receiving complete terminal capability sent by a RAN network element or a terminal.
In one embodiment, in the above-mentioned one embodiment, the terminal capability meeting the first condition may be a complete terminal capability meeting the first condition or a terminal capability meeting the first condition from among terminal capabilities mapped by the terminal capability identifier.
In one embodiment, the receiving the second information may be at least one of receiving the second information. When the second communication device is a CN network element, the second information may be received from a RAN network element, a terminal, or another CN network element. When the second communication is set as a RAN network element, the second information may be received from other RAN network elements, terminals, or other CN network elements.
It should be noted that, various optional implementations described in the embodiment of the present invention may be implemented in combination with each other or separately, and the embodiment of the present invention is not limited to this.
By the capability acquiring method of the embodiment, the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier or the complete terminal capability can be acquired, the mapping relation between the terminal capability identifier and the terminal capability is established, and the capability signaling optimization function is supported, so that the capability of the terminal can be accurately mapped and provided, the signaling overhead can be effectively reduced, and the transmission overhead brought by the reporting capability can be reduced.
Referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is a flowchart of another capability obtaining method provided by the embodiment of the present invention. The capability acquiring method of this embodiment may be applied to a third communication device, and the third communication device may include, but is not limited to, at least one of the following: RAN network elements (e.g. gbb, eNB), CN network elements (e.g. AMF, MME), as shown in fig. 4, comprising the following steps:
step 401, obtaining capability request information, where the capability request information includes: requesting at least one of indication information of a complete terminal capability, indication information of a capability request screening parameter, a skipped or ignored capability request screening parameter, a first condition, whether a backoff frequency band reports the indication information, indication information of a terminal capability corresponding to a terminal capability identifier, terminal capability identifier information, and information whether capability signaling optimization is supported, wherein the indication information of the capability request screening parameter is used for indicating to skip or ignore the capability request screening parameter;
and 402, performing a second relevant operation of the terminal capability according to the capability request information.
In one embodiment, the capability request information may be acquired from at least one of: RAN network element, CN network element, AMF, MME, gNB, eNB. For example, when the first communication device is a RAN network element, the capability request information may be received from a CN network element or other RAN network elements. For example, when the first communication device is a CN network element, the capability request information may be received from other CN network elements or RAN network elements.
In one embodiment, the terminal capability identification information may be a current terminal capability identification. The current terminal capability identification may be understood as at least one of: the terminal capacity identification information corresponding to the current terminal capacity, the effective terminal capacity identification information, the latest terminal capacity identification sent by the terminal to the network, the latest terminal capacity identification allocated by the network, the terminal capacity identification information sent by the first communication equipment and the latest terminal capacity identification information sent by the first communication equipment. Further, the indication information for obtaining the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier may be the indication information for obtaining the terminal capability corresponding to the current terminal capability identifier of the terminal. In one embodiment, the terminal may be configured with multiple capability identifiers, the capability sets mapped by different capability identifiers are different, and the complete terminal capability may not be the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier. The terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier can be ensured to be obtained by displaying the indication information indicating all the terminal capabilities corresponding to the obtained terminal capability identifier.
In addition, the capability request information may refer to the related descriptions of the embodiments shown in fig. 2 and fig. 3, which are not described herein again, and the same beneficial effects can be achieved.
In one embodiment, the complete terminal capability may be obtained by excluding the capability request screening parameter. For example: the complete terminal capability and the current capability identifier of the terminal are mapped one by one, so that the complete terminal capability can be obtained when the capability request screening parameters are not included. In addition, after the complete terminal capability is obtained, the association relationship can be established with the existing terminal capability identifier.
In one embodiment, the terminal may be configured with multiple capability identifiers, the capabilities of terminals mapped by different capability identifiers are different, and the complete terminal capability may not be the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier. It is easy to understand that the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier can be ensured to be obtained by displaying the indication information indicating all the terminal capabilities corresponding to the terminal capability identifier.
In one embodiment, the second correlation operation may be performed by requesting indication information of the full terminal capability, such as acquiring the full terminal capability. For example: the third communication equipment is a CN network element. When the CN network element does not have the terminal capability set mapped by the terminal capability identifier information, the CN network element may instruct the RAN network element to acquire the complete capability set of the terminal. The CN network element can establish the mapping relation between the terminal capability identification and the complete capability set after receiving the complete capability set of the terminal sent by the RAN network element. In this embodiment, the CN network element can indicate the RAN network element to acquire the complete capability set of the terminal. In this embodiment, the UE capability query message may include indication information requesting to acquire the complete terminal capability.
In another embodiment, the second correlation operation may be performed by terminal capability identification information. For example, the third communication device is a RAN network element. When the RAN network element acquires the terminal capability identification information of the terminal but the terminal capability identification information has no terminal capability mapped or when the RAN network element acquires information that the terminal supports capability signaling optimization, the RAN network element may request the terminal capability from the terminal according to the terminal capability identification information. The terminal may return the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier to the RAN network element according to the terminal capability identifier information indicated by the RAN network element, where the terminal capability may be a terminal capability set. In this embodiment, the terminal capability query message may include terminal capability identification information.
In another embodiment, the second correlation operation may be performed by obtaining indication information of a terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier, for example, obtaining the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier. For example, the third communication device is a RAN network element. The RAN network element may request the terminal capability from the terminal according to an indication information, where the indication information is used to request the terminal capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier from the terminal. The terminal can return the terminal capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier to the RAN network element according to the indication information. The indication information may be 1-bit indication information, but is not limited thereto. In this embodiment, the terminal capability query message may include indication information for acquiring the terminal capability corresponding to the terminal capability identifier.
In another embodiment, the second correlation operation may be performed by optimizing whether supported information through capability signaling. Wherein the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported or not indicates support may refer to at least one of: the terminal has the capability signaling optimization capability, the network has the capability signaling optimization capability, and both the terminal and the network have the capability signaling optimization capability. For example: the third communication equipment is a CN network element. The CN network element may send information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported to the terminal in the registration process. When the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported indicates support, and when a capability acquisition request (such as an RRC message of UE capability query) sent by the network is received, the terminal may skip or ignore the capability request screening parameter, and return the terminal capability set or the complete capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier to the network. Such as: the third communication device is a RAN network element. The RAN network element may send (such as broadcast in system information, sent in RRC message 5, or sent in a UE capability query message) information to the terminal whether capability signaling optimization is supported. When the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported indicates support, and when a capability acquisition request (such as an RRC message for UE capability query) sent by the network is received, the terminal may ignore the capability request screening parameter, and return a terminal capability set mapped by the current terminal capability identifier, a complete terminal capability set, or a complete terminal capability satisfying the first condition to the network.
In another embodiment, the terminal capability may be acquired through the indication information of the capability request filtering parameter. For example: the third communication device is a RAN network element or a CN network element. And the third communication equipment sends the indication information of the capability request screening parameters to the terminal. And the terminal skips or ignores the capability request screening parameters according to the indication information of the capability request screening parameters and returns the complete terminal capability to the network.
In another embodiment, the second correlation operation may be performed by skipping or ignoring capability request filter parameters. For example: the third communication device is a RAN network element. The RAN network element indicates to the terminal the skipped or ignored capability request screening parameter. And the terminal skips or ignores the capability request screening parameter according to the indicated skipped or ignored capability request screening parameter and returns the complete terminal capability or the terminal capability meeting certain conditions to the network. The certain condition may be a capability request screening parameter that does not indicate skipping or ignoring.
In another embodiment, the capability request screening parameter may be understood as at least one of the following: and sending the terminal capability and the complete capability which does not need to be reported according to the requirement of the capability screening parameter. The capability currently sent can be used for the purpose of reducing the capability signaling overhead through the capability request screening parameters. In addition, the capability request screening parameter may also be referred to as a capability reduction parameter.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be performed by instructing the first condition, such as acquiring the terminal capability satisfying the first condition. The first condition may include at least one of: information of a network operation subject, identification information of a network, and network type information. The network type information may comprise at least one of: radio access technology Type (RAT Type) information, radio access network Type (RAN Type) information, communication network Type information, network age information (e.g., 5g,4g,3g, 2g). Specifically, the radio access technology type information, the radio access network type information, the communication network type information, and the network age information are as described above, and are not described herein again. The network type information may be used to indicate to acquire the terminal capability corresponding to the network type at the terminal (for example, to specify the complete terminal capability corresponding to the network type). The network identification information may be used to indicate to acquire terminal capabilities corresponding to the network indicated by the network identification information at the terminal (for example, complete terminal capabilities corresponding to a specified network). The network operation subject information may be used to indicate to acquire terminal capabilities corresponding to all networks of the terminal under the network operation subject (for example, complete terminal capabilities corresponding to all networks under a specified network operation subject). In this embodiment, the terminal capability satisfying the first condition may be a complete terminal capability satisfying the first condition or a terminal capability satisfying the first condition among terminal capabilities mapped by the terminal capability identifier.
In another embodiment, the related operation of terminal capability acquisition may be executed by indicating whether the fallback frequency band reports the indication information. The terminal may determine whether to report the terminal capability corresponding to the fallback frequency band according to the indication information whether the fallback frequency band is reported. Such as supported Carrier Aggregation (Carrier Aggregation) band combining and non-Carrier aggregated bands.

By the capability obtaining method of the embodiment, the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier or the complete terminal capability can be obtained, the mapping relation between the terminal capability identifier and the terminal capability is established, the capability signaling optimization function is supported, the capability of the terminal can be accurately mapped and provided, the signaling overhead can be effectively reduced, and the transmission overhead brought by the reporting capability can be reduced.
Referring to fig. 5, fig. 5 is a flowchart of another capability obtaining method provided by the embodiment of the present invention. The capability acquisition method of the embodiment may be applied to the fourth communication device. Wherein the fourth communication device may include, but is not limited to, at least one of: a terminal, a relay with terminal capability, a terminal with relay capability, as shown in fig. 5, includes the following steps:
step 501, judging whether a preset condition is met;

The network type information may comprise at least one of: radio access technology Type (RAT Type) information, radio access network Type (RAN Type) information, communication network Type information, network age information (e.g., 5g,4g,3g, 2g). Specifically, the radio access technology type information, the radio access network type information, the communication network type information, and the network age information are as described above, and are not described herein again. The network type information may be used to indicate to acquire the terminal capability corresponding to the network type at the terminal (for example, to specify the complete terminal capability corresponding to the network type). The network identification information may be used to indicate to acquire terminal capabilities corresponding to the network indicated by the network identification information at the terminal (for example, complete terminal capabilities corresponding to a specified network). The network operation subject information may be used to indicate to acquire terminal capabilities corresponding to all networks of the terminal under the network operation subject (for example, complete terminal capabilities corresponding to all networks under a specified network operation subject). In this embodiment, the terminal capability satisfying the first condition may be a complete terminal capability satisfying the first condition or a terminal capability satisfying the first condition among terminal capabilities mapped by the terminal capability identifier.
Further, the skipping or ignoring of the capability request screening parameter may be that the terminal returns a complete terminal capability or a terminal capability mapped by the current terminal capability identifier. For example: when the terminal supports the capability signaling optimization or reports the terminal capability identifier, the terminal skips or ignores the capability request screening parameter, and the terminal can return the complete terminal capability or the terminal capability mapped by the current terminal capability identifier.
Optionally, when the predetermined condition is satisfied, the terminal may further return at least one of the following: differentiated (delta) terminal capabilities, updated terminal capability identification information. The predetermined condition may include at least one of: the terminal has capacity change, the current terminal capacity of the terminal is inconsistent with the capacity mapped by the current capacity identifier of the terminal, the updated capacity identifier information is not sent to the network, the capacity identifier for mapping the current terminal capacity is not sent to the network, and the capacity identifier for mapping the current terminal capacity is not obtained from the network. In one embodiment, when returning the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier, the terminal may further return at least one of the following: differentiated terminal capabilities, updated terminal capability identification information.
It should be noted that, various optional implementations described in the embodiment of the present invention may be implemented in combination with each other or separately, and the embodiment of the present invention is not limited to this.
By the capability obtaining method of the embodiment, the terminal capability mapped by the terminal capability identifier or the complete terminal capability can be obtained, the mapping relation between the terminal capability identifier and the terminal capability is established, the capability signaling optimization function is supported, the capability of the terminal can be accurately mapped and provided, the signaling overhead can be effectively reduced, and the transmission overhead brought by the reporting capability can be reduced.
The following illustrates scenarios in which the method embodiments are combined by way of example.
Example one
The present embodiment mainly describes a process in which a CN network element requests a RAN network element to acquire a complete terminal capability when a terminal capability identifier does not have a mapped terminal capability set. The corresponding RAN does not recognize the scenario of the terminal capability identification. Referring to fig. 6, as shown in fig. 6, the method includes the following steps:
step 1, the terminal sends NAS information to a CN (core network) network element through a RAN (radio access network) network element. The NAS message contains terminal capability identification information.
The CN network element may map the capability of the terminal according to the capability change information.
And when the terminal capability identification information contains the terminal capability identification of the terminal capability set without mapping, the CN network element sends a capability acquisition information request to the RAN network element to request the complete terminal capability. In one embodiment, the complete terminal capability is a terminal capability mapped by a terminal capability identifier.
And 2, the CN network element sends a UE context establishment request message to the RAN network element. Optionally, the message includes capability request information. The capability request information is as described in the embodiment of fig. 4, and is not described herein again.
And the RAN network element determines a second relevant operation of the terminal capability according to the capability request information. The second related operation is as described in the embodiment of fig. 4, and is not described herein again.
And 3, the RAN network element sends a terminal capability acquisition request to the terminal.
In one embodiment, no screening criteria for capacity reduction are included in the request.
In another embodiment, the request includes capability request information (which may also be referred to as capability acquisition information).

The present embodiment mainly describes a process in which a RAN network element requests a terminal to acquire a complete terminal capability when a terminal capability identifier is a terminal capability set without mapping. And the corresponding RAN recognizes the scene of the terminal capability identification. Referring to fig. 7, as shown in fig. 7, the method includes the following steps:
step 1, the terminal sends NAS information to a CN (core network) network element through a RAN (radio access network) network element. The NAS message contains terminal capability identification information.
And 2, the CN network element sends a UE context establishment request message to the RAN network element. Optionally, the message includes terminal capability identification information. The terminal capability identification information is an embodiment of the first information. The first information is as described in the embodiment of fig. 3, and is not described herein again.
And determining a first related operation of the terminal capability according to the first information. The first related operation is as described in the embodiment of fig. 3, and is not described herein again.
In one embodiment, when the terminal capability identifier information includes a terminal capability identifier of an unmapped terminal capability set or a terminal capability set unmapped by the terminal capability identifier information, the RAN network element obtains the terminal capability from the terminal.

And the corresponding RAN recognizes the scene of the terminal capability identification. Referring to fig. 8, as shown in fig. 8, the method includes the following steps:
step 1, the terminal sends an RRC message (such as an RRC setup complete message) to the RAN network element. The RRC message comprises terminal capability identification information and/or capability signaling optimization capability information. The terminal capability identifier information and/or capability signaling optimization capability information is a first information embodiment, and the first information is as described in the embodiment of fig. 3 and is not described herein again.
And 2, the RAN network element sends an initial UE message to the CN network element. Optionally, the message includes at least one of the following: terminal capability identification information, terminal capability information without mapping of capability identification, and terminal capability information without mapping.
And 3, the CN network element sends a UE context establishment request message to the RAN network element. Optionally, the message does not include the terminal capability.
And determining a first related operation of the terminal capability according to the first information (terminal capability identification information, capability signaling optimization capability information, terminal capability identification information, terminal capability information without mapping of the capability identification and/or terminal capability-free information). The first related operation is as described in the embodiment of fig. 3, and is not described herein again.
In one embodiment, when the terminal capability identifier information includes a terminal capability identifier of unmapped terminal capability or terminal capability of which the terminal capability identifier information is unmapped, the RAN network element acquires the terminal capability from the terminal.

step 1, the RAN network element sends terminal capability acquisition to a terminal. In the request, a capability request screening parameter (or a screening condition called capability reduction) is included.
And step 2, the terminal returns the terminal capability to the RAN network element.
It is determined whether a predetermined condition is satisfied.

1. A capability obtaining method is applied to a first communication device, wherein the first communication device is a terminal, and the capability obtaining method is characterized by comprising the following steps:
acquiring capability request information sent by the second communication device or the third communication device,
the capability request information includes: at least one of indication information of complete terminal capability supported by the requesting terminal in the service network, indication information of complete terminal capability supported by the requesting terminal in the radio access technology type, indication information of complete terminal capability supported by the requesting terminal in the frequency band, indication information of complete terminal capability supported by the requesting terminal in the network operator, indication information of capability request screening parameter, skipped or ignored capability request screening parameter, first condition, whether the fallback frequency band is reported or not indication information and whether capability signaling optimization is supported or not information,
the indication information of the capability request screening parameters is used for indicating to skip or ignore the capability request screening parameters;
the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported is used to indicate at least one of: whether the reporting of identification information indicating the terminal capability to a network is supported, whether the terminal capability is obtained by mapping of an indication terminal capability identification is supported, and whether the indication of the terminal capability through the terminal capability identification is supported;
the first condition includes at least one of: information of a network operation subject, identification information of a network, network type information, and frequency band information;
executing the relevant operation of the terminal capability according to the capability request information;
wherein the terminal capability related operation comprises at least one of:
sending the complete terminal capability to the second communication device or the third communication device;
sending the terminal capability meeting a first condition to the second communication device or the third communication device;
sending the requested network corresponding complete terminal capability to the second communication device or the third communication device;
sending the complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested wireless access technology type to the second communication equipment or the third communication equipment;
sending the complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested frequency band to the second communication equipment or the third communication equipment;
skipping or ignoring capability request screening parameters;
and determining whether to report the terminal capability corresponding to the fallback frequency band according to the indication information whether the fallback frequency band is reported or not.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the capability request screening parameters comprise at least one of:
reducing the related screening parameters;
band combination capability reduction information;
carrier aggregation capability reduction information;
dual connectivity capability reduction information;
indication information requesting to skip a combination of fallback bands;
requesting information of a differential fallback band combination;
requesting information of the number of uplink maximum carrier units;
requesting information of the number of downlink maximum carrier units;
indication information requesting a reduction of the discontinuous band combination;
requesting information of a frequency band;
information of a frequency band of the requested multi-radio access technology dual-connection MR-DC;
requested network type information.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the full terminal capability comprises at least one of:
the terminal correspondingly supports the complete terminal capability in the service network;
the terminal has complete terminal capability correspondingly supported by the wireless access technology type;
the terminal correspondingly supports complete terminal capability in the frequency band;
the terminal has complete terminal capability correspondingly supported by a network operation main body;
and/or
The terminal capability satisfying the first condition includes at least one of:
the terminal appoints the terminal capability supported by the network correspondingly in the network identification information;
the terminal appoints the terminal capability correspondingly supported by the network operation subject in the network operation information;
and the terminal specifies the terminal capability correspondingly supported by the network type in the network type information.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the method further comprises:
if the terminal capability is confirmed to meet the preset condition, executing the relevant operation of the terminal capability;
the predetermined condition includes at least one of:
support capability signaling optimization capability;
capability signaling optimization support;
sending a terminal capability identifier to a network;
sending a terminal capacity identification to a network, wherein the sent terminal capacity identification is unique;
the terminal capability identification is valid;
and receiving terminal capability acquisition information sent by a network.
5. A capability acquisition method applied to a second communication device is characterized by comprising the following steps:
acquiring first information, wherein the first information comprises: at least one of capability signaling optimization capability information, information whether capability signaling optimization is supported, terminal capability identification non-mapped terminal capability information and non-terminal capability information;
the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported is used for indicating: whether the terminal capability optimization is supported is that the terminal reports identification information indicating the terminal capability to the network, and the network can map the identification information indicating the terminal capability to obtain the terminal capability;
performing first related operation of terminal capability according to the first information;
wherein the performing of the first relevant operation of the terminal capability comprises at least one of:
determining capability request information;
transmitting the capability request information to a first communication device;

setting the capability request screening parameters to include all values supported by the service network;
setting the capability request screening parameter as the maximum value supported by the network of the network operation main body;
the capability request screening parameter is set to include all values supported by the network of the network operator.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the capability request information comprises at least one of:

9. The method of claim 5, further comprising receiving second information, wherein the second information comprises at least one of:

the indication information of the capability request screening parameters is used for indicating to skip or ignore the capability request screening parameters;
the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported is used to indicate at least one of: whether the reporting of identification information indicating the terminal capability to a network is supported, whether the terminal capability is obtained by mapping of an indication terminal capability identification is supported, and whether the indication of the terminal capability through the terminal capability identification is supported;
the first condition includes at least one of: information of a network operation subject, identification information of a network, network type information, and frequency band information;
the first execution module is used for executing the relevant operation of the terminal capability according to the capability request information;
wherein the terminal capability related operation comprises at least one of:
sending the complete terminal capability to the second communication device or the third communication device;
sending the terminal capability meeting a first condition to the second communication device or the third communication device;
sending the complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested network to the second communication equipment or the third communication equipment;
sending the complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested wireless access technology type to the second communication equipment or the third communication equipment;
sending the complete terminal capability corresponding to the requested frequency band to the second communication equipment or the third communication equipment;
skipping or ignoring capability request screening parameters;
and determining whether to report the terminal capability corresponding to the fallback frequency band according to the indication information whether the fallback frequency band is reported or not.
15. A second communications device, comprising:
a second obtaining module, configured to obtain first information from a first communication device, where the first information includes: at least one of capability signaling optimization capability information, information whether capability signaling optimization is supported, terminal capability identification non-mapped terminal capability information and non-terminal capability information;
the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported is used for indicating: whether the terminal capability optimization is supported is that the terminal reports identification information indicating the terminal capability to the network, and the network can map the identification information indicating the terminal capability to obtain the terminal capability;
the second execution module is used for carrying out first related operation of the terminal capability according to the first information;
wherein the performing of the first relevant operation of the terminal capability comprises at least one of:
determining capability request information;
transmitting the capability request information to a first communication device;
sending a capability request message to a first communication device to acquire terminal capability;
the terminal capability does not contain capability request screening parameters when being obtained;
setting a capability request screening parameter;
acquiring complete terminal capability;
wherein the first communication device is a terminal, and the capability request information includes: at least one of indication information of complete terminal capability supported by the requesting terminal in the service network, indication information of complete terminal capability supported by the requesting terminal in the radio access technology type, indication information of complete terminal capability supported by the requesting terminal in the frequency band, indication information of complete terminal capability supported by the requesting terminal in the network operator, indication information of capability request screening parameter, skipped or ignored capability request screening parameter, first condition, whether the fallback frequency band is reported or not indication information and whether capability signaling optimization is supported or not information,
the indication information of the capability request screening parameters is used for indicating to skip or ignore the capability request screening parameters;
the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported is used for indicating at least one of: whether the reporting of identification information indicating the terminal capability to a network is supported, whether the terminal capability is obtained by mapping of an indication terminal capability identification is supported, and whether the indication of the terminal capability through the terminal capability identification is supported;
the first condition includes at least one of: information of a network operator, identification information of a network, network type information, band information.
16. A third communication device, comprising:
a third obtaining module, configured to obtain capability request information from a CN network element;
the capability request information includes: at least one of indication information of requesting a complete terminal capability, indication information of capability request screening parameters, skipped or ignored capability request screening parameters, a first condition, whether a fallback frequency band reports the indication information and whether capability signaling optimization is supported,
the indication information of the capability request screening parameters is used for indicating to skip or ignore the capability request screening parameters;
the information whether the capability signaling optimization is supported is used to indicate at least one of: whether the reporting of identification information indicating the terminal capability to a network is supported, whether the terminal capability is obtained by mapping of an indication terminal capability identification is supported, and whether the indication of the terminal capability through the terminal capability identification is supported;
the first condition includes at least one of: information of a network operation subject, identification information of a network, network type information, and frequency band information;
a third execution module, configured to perform a second related operation of the terminal capability according to the capability request information;
wherein the performing of the second related operation of the terminal capability comprises at least one of:
the terminal capability does not contain capability request screening parameters when being obtained;
setting a capability request screening parameter;
acquiring the terminal capability according to the capability request information;
and acquiring complete terminal capability.

A communication device comprising a processor, a memory and a computer program stored on the memory and executable on the processor, the computer program, when executed by the processor, implementing the steps of the capability acquisition method according to any one of claims 1 to 4, or implementing the steps of the capability acquisition method according to any one of claims 5 to 10, or implementing the steps of the capability acquisition method according to any one of claims 11 to 13.

A computer-readable storage medium, characterized in that a computer program is stored thereon, which computer program, when being executed by a processor, carries out the steps of the capability acquisition method according to one of the claims 1 to 4, or carries out the steps of the capability acquisition method according to one of the claims 5 to 10, or carries out the steps of the capability acquisition method according to one of the claims 11 to 13.
