Abstract

An eNB (base station) in a communication network needs to perform software version upgrade on an irregular basis to achieve the purpose of updating functions and characteristics and repairing a current version. The existing eNB software upgrading method is mainly realized in an OAM (Operation, Maintenance and management) system, an existing upgrading packet is led into an OMC/FTP (File transfer protocol) server through an OMC (Operation and Maintenance device), and the upgrading packet is downloaded to the eNB from the FTP server and is enabled to take effect by issuing an upgrading command to the eNB; the process of downloading the upgrade package by the eNB is a process of transferring the upgrade package to the eNB main control board from the OMC/FTP server.
With the development of 5G communication network technology, the number of base stations required by 5G under the same coverage range is 3-4 times of that of 4G, if the existing software upgrading method is adopted, each base station needs to communicate with a server, and a software upgrading package is downloaded from the server, the operating pressure of the server is increased, when large-scale base station software upgrading is carried out, a large amount of time and energy are consumed, even the phenomenon of server jamming occurs, and further the software upgrading process is jammed or interrupted. Therefore, a method and a device for upgrading software are needed to relieve the working pressure of the server and avoid the problem of server jamming, so as to improve the reliability and stability of software version upgrading and integrally improve the efficiency of software version upgrading.

Detailed Description
The invention provides a method, a control device and a system for upgrading communication equipment software, which are used for solving the problems that in the prior art, when large-scale communication software is upgraded, the operating pressure of a server is increased, the server is blocked, and the software upgrading process of the communication equipment is blocked or interrupted.
The method, control device and system for upgrading software of communication equipment according to the present invention are described in detail below with reference to the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings.
In the first embodiment of the present invention, the system for upgrading software of a communication device includes a server 1, a control device 2, and a communication device 3, as shown in fig. 1 and 2. The control device 2 includes an adapter 21 and a loader 22. Then, the control device 2 transmits the upgrade instruction and the version information of the upgrade package to the communication apparatus 3, and the communication apparatus 3 feeds back the upgradable response information to the control device 2 after comparing the version information of the upgrade package with the information of the software version currently running thereon. And after receiving the upgradable response information, the control device 2 sends an upgrade package to the communication equipment 3, and after the communication equipment 3 successfully loads the upgrade package, the software is operated to upgrade and upgrade result information is sent to the control device 2. The control device 2 transfers the upgrade result information to the server 1.

The server 1 processes the feedback information of the communication devices 3 through the control device 2, and the control device 2 only needs to arrange and feed back the collected upgrade result information of the plurality of communication devices 3 to the server 1, so that the working pressure of the server 1 can be further reduced.
In a further embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, the control apparatus 2 includes an adapter 21 and a loader 22, the adapter 21 is configured to receive an upgrade instruction from the server 1 and send the upgrade instruction to the loader 22, and the adapter 21 receives upgrade result information of the communication device 3 and feeds back the same to the server 1. The loader 22 is used for downloading the upgrade package from the server 1 and receiving the upgrade instruction, and sending the upgrade instruction and the downloaded upgrade package to the communication device 3; the loader 22 receives the upgradable response information, the non-upgradable response information, and the upgrade result information from the communication device 3, and transmits the upgrade result information to the adapter 21.
In a further embodiment of the present invention, the loader 22 downloads the upgrade package from the server 1 and stores the downloaded upgrade package, and at the same time, the loader 22 detects whether the upgrade package is successfully downloaded; if the download is successful, the loader 22 sends a response message of successful download to the server 1 through the adapter 21; if the download fails, the loader 22 transmits a response message indicating that the download failed to the server 1 through the adapter 21. After the loader 22 successfully downloads the upgrade package from the server 1, the adapter 21 sends an upgrade instruction from the server 1 to the loader 22, and after the loader 22 receives the upgrade instruction, the loader 22 opens and reads the upgrade package through the system file interface to obtain version information of the upgrade package and save the version information.
In a further embodiment of the invention, as shown in fig. 2, the control device 2 further comprises a timer 221. A timer 221 is disposed on the loader 22 for setting the time at which the loader 22 receives the upgradeable response information or the non-upgradeable response information from the communication apparatus 3. If the loader 22 does not receive the upgradable response message or the non-upgradable response message within the set time, the loader 22 sends a response message of the link failure to the adapter 21, and the upgrade process is terminated. If the loader 22 receives the non-upgradable response message within the set time, the loader 22 sends a non-upgradable response message to the adapter 21, indicating that the communication device 3 does not need to perform software upgrade, and the upgrade process is terminated. If the loader 22 receives the upgradeable response message within the set time, the loader 22 sends the upgradeable response message to the adapter 21. Then, the loader 22 transmits the upgrade package to the communication apparatus 3.
The method for upgrading the software of the communication equipment in the second aspect of the invention is applied to a system which comprises a server 1, a control device 2 and the communication equipment 3. The control device 2 includes an adapter 21, a loader 22, and a timer 221. In the present embodiment, the control apparatus 2 can establish links with a plurality of communication devices 3.
