Detailed Description
In order to make the technical solutions better understood by those skilled in the art, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application.
The display area of the screen of the electronic device is used for displaying a user interface of an application program, displaying a desktop of the electronic device and other contents needing to be displayed, and touch operation of a user can be received in the display area to interact with the user.
Most electronic devices support split screen display functionality. The split-screen display of the electronic device is to simultaneously display two or more user interfaces in a display area of a screen. Two user interfaces are displayed, which may be user interfaces of two application programs, or may be a user interface of one application program, a desktop, and the like. In addition, the electronic device may be a smart touch-enabled device such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a game machine, and a laptop computer, and the embodiment of the present application takes a mobile phone as an example for description.
For example, fig. 1 shows the electronic device 100 in a non-on-screen display situation, where the display area 110 of the screen displays the application a, and the user interface of the application a is displayed in the entire display area. As shown in fig. 2, in the case of the split screen display, the application a and the application B are simultaneously displayed, and the user interface of the application a and the user interface of the application B are simultaneously displayed in the display area of the screen. It will be appreciated that if the status bar and navigation bar of the screen do not display the user interface of the application, the status bar and navigation bar do not belong to the display area. Wherein, the status bar is usually a column for displaying electric quantity, operator, time, etc. on the top of the screen; the navigation bar is usually a field of various virtual touch keys such as a home key and a multi-task key displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Because each user interface is displayed smaller than that of a non-split screen display under the condition of split screen display, the impression of a user is influenced, and therefore, the user is required to actively start the split screen display function. Activation of the split screen display function is typically accomplished by operation of a multi-tasking button. For example, after the multitask key is pressed for a long time, all application programs capable of being displayed in a split screen mode are popped up, and after the user selects the application programs, the application programs selected by the user and the application programs being displayed are displayed in a split screen mode.
The operation process of the starting mode of the split screen function is complex. Moreover, the multi-task key is required to be relied on, and if the multi-task key is hidden or not started, the split-screen display function cannot be started.
The inventor carefully researches the use habits of users on electronic equipment and application scenes of split screen display, and provides a split screen method, a split screen device, electronic equipment and a storage medium in the embodiment of the application. According to the method, a user performs sliding operation on the edge of a display area, and when the sliding is continued and an icon of a first application appears at the sliding touch position, the icon is dragged towards a preset direction, and split-screen display can be performed. For the user, only one sliding operation is performed, namely, the distribution display function is started, and the operation is simple. The screen splitting method according to the embodiment of the present application is described in detail below.
Fig. 3 shows a flowchart of a screen splitting method provided in an embodiment of the present application, where the method is applied to an electronic device, and the electronic device includes a display area screen. Specifically, the screen splitting method comprises the following steps:
step S110: receiving an edge sliding operation acting on the display area, wherein the edge sliding operation starts from the edge of the display area and meets a preset sliding condition.
When the user touches and slides in the display area of the display screen, the electronic device may detect the sliding operation. Therefore, when the user performs the edge sliding operation in the display area, the electronic device may detect the edge sliding operation.
When the starting position of the sliding operation is detected to be the edge of the display area, and the sliding operation meets the preset sliding condition, the sliding operation can be judged to be the edge sliding operation.
Step S120: and if the edge sliding operation continues, displaying an icon of a first application along with the touch position of the edge sliding operation in the display area.
When the edge sliding operation is detected and the sliding of the edge sliding operation is continued, an application icon may be displayed at a touch position of the edge sliding operation, where the application icon is an icon of an application (application) and is defined as an icon of a first application.
That is, after the edge sliding operation is determined, if the edge sliding operation continues, the icon of the first application is displayed at the touch position of the user, or the icon of the first application is displayed at the position touched by the finger performing the edge sliding operation in the display area, the icon of the first application moves along with the movement of the finger, the icon of the first application moves along with the sliding of the edge sliding operation, and the position to which the icon of the first application moves at each time is the position to which the edge sliding operation slides at the time.
Step S130: under the condition of non-screen display, if a dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to a preset direction is received, the first application and a second application are displayed in the display area in a split screen mode, and the second application is an application program to which a user interface which is being displayed in the display area belongs.
If the electronic equipment is in the non-screen display state currently, defining the display application program of the electronic equipment as a second application at the moment, wherein the display application program of the electronic equipment is when an edge sliding operation is received or when an icon of a first application is dragged. And dragging the icon of the first application, wherein the first icon changes along with the change of the touch position along with the sliding of the finger.
And if the dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to a preset direction is received, judging that the user performs screen splitting operation. And displaying the first application and the second application in a split screen mode.
In the embodiment of the application, a user can call out a first application for performing split-screen display with a currently displayed second application through edge sliding operation, and if the user continues the sliding operation and drags an icon of the first application to a preset direction, a split-screen display function is started to display the first application and the second application in a split-screen manner.
The split screen method of the present application provides one embodiment. In this embodiment, a processing mode of receiving an edge sliding operation in the case of split screen display is also included. Specifically, referring to fig. 4, the screen splitting method provided in this embodiment includes:
step S210: receiving an edge sliding operation acting on the display area, wherein the edge sliding operation starts from the edge of the display area and meets a preset sliding condition.
And when receiving a sliding operation which takes the edge of the display area as a sliding starting point and meets a preset sliding condition, judging that the edge sliding operation acting on the display area is received. The edge of the display area may be a side edge, and may also include a bottom edge or a top edge.
As a first embodiment, the edge sliding operation may only require starting at the edge of the display area and sliding a preset distance. That is, the preset slide condition of the edge slide operation is a slide preset distance. For example, the sliding operation shown in fig. 5 starts at the edge of the sliding area, and the sliding distance reaches the preset distance, it may be determined that the edge sliding operation is received. It is to be understood that the broken line of fig. 5 represents a slide trajectory, and the application program a represents the first application.
As a second embodiment, in order to better distinguish from other sliding manners, the edge sliding operation may be sliding a preset distance along the edge of the screen. For example, from the finger position shown in phantom in fig. 6 to the finger position shown in actuality.
As a third embodiment, in order to better guide the user to perform the edge sliding operation, in this embodiment, a floating icon may be displayed on the edge of the screen, and the preset sliding condition is that the float is pressed to slide. That is, a floating icon, such as the float 101 shown in fig. 7, may be displayed at the edge of the screen. The user can hold the float and slide so that the electronic device can recognize the edge slide operation. The sliding distance may not be limited, for example, the preset distance may be reached, and the preset distance may be a distance that can effectively distinguish between a click and a sliding. In the process of sliding after the user presses the buoy, the suspension icon can move along with the sliding of the user or can not move along with the sliding of the user. If the floating icon moves along with the sliding of the user, the floating icon disappears when the floating icon moves to recognize that the sliding is the edge sliding operation, and the icon of the first application is displayed along with the sliding of the edge sliding operation when the edge sliding operation continues to slide.
In the present embodiment, the third embodiment may be combined with the first embodiment or the second embodiment, for example, when the float is pressed to slide, the third embodiment may be not limited to slide on the edge as in the first embodiment, and may slide into the display area; or as in the second embodiment, pressing the float to slide at the edge.
In this embodiment, the floating icon may be a floating icon, or a floating control, in a transparent or semi-transparent state, or other display state.
Optionally, in this embodiment, some functions originally possessed by the electronic device may also be effectively utilized. For example, if the float is originally a return floating icon of the electronic device, when the float is clicked, or when the float is clicked after the float is called out by clicking or the like, the electronic device performs a return operation, and the displayed user interface can be returned to the previous level. If the float is slid, the edge sliding operation may be identified, and the sliding operation may be distinguished from the clicked touch operation, for example, the edge sliding operation may be distinguished from the clicked touch operation by a sliding distance.
In this embodiment, if the floating icon can be used as the return operation at the same time and the manner of exhaling the float is slide exhaling, the slide distance of the edge slide operation can be set longer than the slide distance of exhaling the float.
In the embodiments of the present application, the setting of the preset distance is not limited, and the preset distance set in each embodiment may be different.
Since the user usually holds the electronic device with one hand and operates the electronic device with one finger of the thumb, in the embodiment of the present application, the sliding operation starting from the edge of the display area is used as the edge sliding operation for triggering the split-screen display, and it is more convenient for the user to open the split-screen display function.
Step S220: and if the edge sliding operation continues, displaying an icon of a first application along with the touch position of the edge sliding operation in the display area.
When the edge sliding operation is recognized and the sliding of the edge sliding operation is continued, the icon of the first application is displayed at the touch position following the edge sliding operation. For example, when the finger of the user slides to the state shown in fig. 5, since the sliding of the finger starts at the edge of the display area and the preset sliding condition is satisfied, the electronic device recognizes the edge sliding operation, displays the icon 102 of the first application at the pressed position, as shown in fig. 8, and the icon 102 of the first application slides following the sliding operation, as shown in fig. 8 to fig. 9.
In the embodiment of the present application, the first application may be an application associated with the currently displayed second application with a preset association condition.
When a user needs to split a screen, the user usually needs to view two applications at the same time, and at this time, the user usually switches the two applications very frequently. For example, when a user reads an english article through software, the user may need to frequently start an english dictionary for word searching, and frequently switch between the reading software and the english dictionary, at which time the user may start a split screen function. Thus, as a practical matter, the preset association condition of the first application with the second application may be temporal association. Specifically, the first application may be an application running in the background and having the latest opening time closest to the current time. That is, relative to the currently displayed second application, the first application is an application that is running in the background and last displayed in the display area, if the last displayed application is not running in the background, the first application is an application that is last displayed, and so on.
In addition, in another embodiment, the user can also select the applications displayed simultaneously under the condition of split screen display according to the requirement of the user. Therefore, in this embodiment, the preset association condition between the first application and the second application may be an association relationship set and stored by the user. Specifically, the user may set applications associated with different applications, and when the edge sliding operation is received, search for a first application corresponding to a currently displayed second application in the stored association relationship according to the second application. For example, the user thinks that the user needs to start a notepad to take notes when watching a video and needs to search words at any time when reading English, and the user can set the notepad as an application related to video software in advance and set an English dictionary as an application related to reading software. When the video software is displayed in the display area, taking the notebook as the application related to the video software; when the reading software is displayed in the display area, the English dictionary is used as an application related to the video software.
Alternatively, in this embodiment, the association may be unidirectional, for example as shown in fig. 10, and one first application may associate with one or more second applications. When any one second application is displayed, the first application corresponding to the second application can be found out to be displayed in a split screen mode. In addition, referring to fig. 10, the first application may also be used as a second application associated with other applications.
In addition, in the embodiment of the application, if it is detected that the user frequently switches and displays the two application programs in the display area, a prompt message can be sent to prompt the user to perform screen splitting operation, so that the user efficiency is improved. The frequent switching may be switching with a switching frequency greater than a preset frequency.
Step S230: and judging whether the current screen split display or the non-screen split display is performed.
In the case of split screen display as well as non-split screen display, the processing can be done in different ways.
Step S240: under the condition of non-screen display, if a dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to a preset direction is received, the first application and a second application are displayed in the display area in a split screen mode, and the second application is an application program to which a user interface which is being displayed in the display area belongs.
And if the edge sliding operation meets the specified condition of split screen after the icon of the first application is displayed at the touch position corresponding to the edge sliding operation, and if the split screen display is not performed in the display area at the moment, performing the split screen display. The specified condition may be that the sliding of the edge sliding operation is continued, and if the icon is dragged to the preset direction, the first application and the second application are displayed in a split screen manner.
In this embodiment, the display area may include a first sub area and a second sub area, and the division of the first sub area and the second sub area is not limited in this embodiment, for example, the first sub area is on the top side of the electronic device, and the second sub area is on the bottom side of the electronic device, for example, the first sub area 111 and the second sub area 112 are as shown in fig. 11 when the electronic device is displayed in a vertical screen mode. The first sub-area and the second sub-area may be divided on both left and right sides of the electronic device, or may be divided in another manner. The embodiment of the application mainly takes the first sub-area on the top side of the electronic device and the second sub-area on the bottom side of the electronic device as an example for explanation. For other dividing manners of the sub-regions, reference may be made to the dividing manner of dividing the two sub-regions by the top and the bottom. When the screen is displayed in a split mode, the first application and the second application are displayed in the first sub area and the second sub area respectively. Wherein, the top, the bottom, the left side and the right side of the electronic device can be defined according to the text display direction. For example, when displaying, one end of the electronic device in the top direction of the text is the top of the electronic device; one end of the electronic equipment in the bottom direction of the characters is the bottom of the electronic equipment. The left side of the electronic device may be the end of the electronic device to the left of the text, and the right side of the electronic device may be the end of the electronic device to the right of the text. For example, in the text "name", the "position" is above the text and at the top of the text, and the "opening" is below and at the bottom of the text.
In this embodiment of the application, the first sub-area and the second sub-area may be as large as a default, or the sizes of the first sub-area and the second sub-area are determined according to a size ratio preset by a user. In addition, the user can be received to perform the size adjustment operation on the first sub-area and the second sub-area, and the sub-area size adjusted by the user is displayed.
As a first implementation manner, the preset direction in this step may be any direction within the display area, and if the dragging distance of the dragging operation reaches a specified distance, the first application and the second application are displayed in a split screen manner in the display area. Namely, if a dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application for a specified distance is received, the first application and the second application are displayed in a split screen mode.
As a second embodiment, the preset direction may be a designated direction, such as a direction toward the bottom of the electronic device, or a direction toward the top of the electronic device. And if the preset direction is towards the bottom of the electronic equipment, receiving a dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application towards the bottom, and displaying the first application and the second application in a display area in a split screen mode.
Optionally, in this embodiment, a limitation condition of the dragging distance may also be added. After the icon of the first application is dragged to the appointed direction for the appointed distance, the first application and the second application are displayed in the display area in a split screen mode.
As a third embodiment, in order to avoid the user from erroneously operating to trigger the split screen, a designated area for icon drag-in of the first application may be set. Specifically, in this embodiment, after the icon of the first application is displayed in the display area at the touch position corresponding to the edge sliding operation, it may be determined whether to drag the icon of the first application to a designated area in the display area in a preset direction, and if so, the first application and the second application are displayed in a split screen manner in the display area.
Optionally, when the icon of the first application is displayed at the touch position corresponding to the edge sliding operation, a designated area may be marked in the display area, where the mark may be a grayed out mark, a wire frame mark, or the like, and optionally, a prompt typeface may be filled in the marked designated area, such as "dragging into here and splitting into screens", as shown in fig. 12. And when the icon of the first application is detected to be dragged into the designated area, the first application and the second application are displayed in a split screen mode.
Alternatively, in this embodiment, the designated area may be disposed at the bottom of the display area, as shown in fig. 12. Of course, the finger holder can also be arranged on the place where the fingers of other users, such as the thumb when holding by a single hand, are convenient to reach.
In the above embodiments, the first application may be displayed in the first sub-area and the second application may be displayed in the second sub-area by default; or by default, the first application is displayed in the second sub-area and the second application is displayed in the first sub-area.
The embodiment of the application also provides a fourth implementation mode. In this embodiment, as shown in fig. 11, the display area is divided into a first sub-area 111 on the top side and a second sub-area 112 on the bottom side. If an operation of dragging the icon of the first application in the top direction is received, the first application is displayed on the first sub-area 111, and the second application is displayed on the second sub-area 112. If an operation of dragging the icon of the first application to the bottom direction is received, the first application is displayed on the second sub-area 112, and the second application is displayed on the first sub-area 111.
The top direction may be a direction in which the icon is dragged toward the top of the electronic device, that is, the icon is dragged to continuously rise, as shown by a dragging track shown by a dotted line in fig. 13; alternatively, the direction is from the start of the drag to the end of the drag, toward the top. The direction to the bottom may be a direction in which the icon is dragged toward the bottom of the electronic device, that is, the icon is dragged to continuously descend, as shown by a dragging track shown by a dotted line in fig. 9; alternatively, the direction is from the start of the drag to the end of the drag toward the bottom.
Optionally, in this embodiment, a dragging distance limit may also be added. That is, if a drag operation of dragging the icon of the first application to the top direction for a specified distance is received, the first application is displayed in the first sub-area, and the second application is displayed in the second sub-area. And if the dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to the bottom direction for a specified distance is received, displaying the first application on the second sub-area, and displaying the second application on the first sub-area. In the embodiments of the present application, the respective embodiments may be optionally combined with each other in a case of conforming to the operation logic. For example, the present application also provides a fifth implementation manner, which combines the fourth implementation manner and the third implementation manner. In this embodiment, two designated areas, which are defined as a first designated area and a second designated area, may be included in the display area. The first designated area is arranged in the first sub-area, and the second designated area is arranged in the second sub-area. When the icon of the first application is displayed at the touch position corresponding to the edge sliding operation, the first designated area 103 and the second designated area 104 may be marked in the display area, as shown in fig. 14.
And if the icon of the first application is dragged into the first designated area, displaying the first application in the first sub-area and displaying the second application in the second sub-area. And if the icon of the first application is dragged into the second designated area, displaying the first application in the second sub-area and displaying the second application in the first sub-area. Therefore, the user can select the positions of the two application programs to be respectively displayed according to the requirement.
The embodiment of the application also passes through a sixth implementation mode. In this embodiment, the display area is divided into a first sub-area and a second sub-area. If a dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to a preset direction is received, the first application and the second application are displayed in the display area in a split screen mode, or if the dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to a first sub-area is received and a specified condition of the split screen is met, the first application is displayed in the first sub-area, and the second application is displayed in the second sub-area; and if the operation of dragging the icon of the first application to the second sub-area is received and the specified condition of screen splitting is met, displaying the first application in the second sub-area and displaying the second application in the first sub-area.
In the above embodiments, various conditions for specifying the screen division are proposed. When the specified condition of split screen is met, the split screen display is automatically started; or under the condition that the specified condition of split screen is met, if the user releases the icon of the first application, the user stops touch control and starts split screen display.
For the case that the designated condition of split screen is met, if the user releases the icon of the first application, that is, the user stops touch control, and starts split screen display, the third embodiment is taken as an example for description. In the third embodiment, when the icon of the first application is dragged into the designated area, the designated condition of screen splitting is satisfied, but if the user does not release the icon, screen splitting is not performed; and the user drags the icon out of the designated area again to release the icon, so that the icon is released under the condition that the designated condition of split screen is not met, and the split screen display is not carried out. In the third embodiment, when the icon of the first application is dragged into the designated area, the designated condition of split-screen is satisfied, and if the user releases the icon, split-screen display is performed.
In this embodiment of the application, if a dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application in a preset direction is not received, that is, the specified condition of split screen is not satisfied, and the pressing of the icon is released, the current display may be switched, that is, the display content is switched to the first application in the display area.
It can be understood that, for example, the specific condition that the split screen is not satisfied may be that, if the icon of the first application is displayed at the touch position corresponding to the edge sliding operation and the drag operation on the icon is not received, the icon is released, and it is determined that the specified condition that the split screen is not satisfied.
Corresponding to the first, second, and fourth embodiments in step S240, if there is a defined condition of the dragging distance in the embodiments, if the icon of the first application is released without being dragged to the specified distance, it may be determined that the specified condition of the split screen is not satisfied.
Corresponding to the third and fifth embodiments in step S240, if the icon of the first application is not released in the designated area, it may be determined that the designated condition of the split screen is not satisfied.
Step S250: in the case of the split screen display, one displayed application is switched to a first application according to a drag operation of a user.
In the embodiment of the application, when the edge sliding operation is received, if the content displayed in the display area is the content of split screen, that is, the electronic device is in the split screen display state, one of the displayed applications can be switched. For example, when the screen is split, as shown in fig. 2, the first application is application C. Then fig. 15 shows the case where the application program a in the first sub-area is switched to be displayed as the application program C, and fig. 16 shows the case where the application program B in the second sub-area is switched to be displayed as the application program C.
As an embodiment, when the icon of the first application is dragged into the first sub-area to be released, the application displayed in the first sub-area is switched to the first application; and when the icon of the first application is dragged into the second sub-area to be released, the application displayed on the second sub-area is switched to the first application. That is, if the first sub-area displays the third application and the second sub-area displays the fourth application, and if a dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to the first sub-area is received, the third application displayed in the first sub-area is switched to the first application for display; and if the dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to the second sub-area is received, switching the fourth application displayed in the second sub-area to the first application for displaying.
In order to facilitate description of the association relationship between the currently displayed application and the first application, in the present embodiment, in the process from appearance of the icon of the first application to continuous dragging, if the icon of the first application is dragged into the first sub-area, the application currently displayed in the second sub-area is defined as the second application; and if the current application is dragged into the second sub-area, defining the currently displayed application of the first sub-area as a second application.
In this embodiment, if the preset association condition of the first application and the second application is temporal association, no matter the icon of the first application is dragged to the first sub-area or the second sub-area, the first application is an application program which runs in the background and has the latest opening time closest to the current time.
In this embodiment, if the association between the first application and the second application is set by the user, the first application associated with the application displayed on the first sub-area and the first application associated with the application displayed on the second sub-area may be different. Therefore, in the embodiment of the present application, according to the icon of the first application being dragged to the first sub-area or the second sub-area, the corresponding first application is determined. The principle of the specific determination manner may be that, in the case of split-screen display, two applications displayed simultaneously are mutually related applications.
Specifically, in the embodiment, in the process from appearance to continuous dragging of the icon of the first application, if the icon of the first application is dragged into the first sub-area, an application associated with a fourth application is searched as the first application, and the icon of the searched first application is displayed, where the fourth application is an application displayed in the second sub-area, or a second application defined when the icon of the first application is dragged into the first sub-area. And if the icon is dragged into the second sub-area, searching the application associated with the third application as the first application, and displaying the icon of the searched first application, wherein the third application is the application displayed in the first sub-area, or the second application defined when the icon of the first application is dragged into the second sub-area.
In this embodiment, when the user releases the icon, the current first application is displayed in the sub-area of the release icon.
For example, in the case of a split screen display, the first sub-area is displayed as reading software, and the second sub-area is displayed as video software. The reading software is associated with an English dictionary, and the video software is associated with a notebook. When the edge sliding operation is identified and judged to be received in the first sub-area, the notepad is used as a first application, and the icon of the notepad is displayed corresponding to the touch position; if the user continuously drags in the first area, the notepad is continuously used as the first application, and the icon of the notepad is displayed; when the icon is dragged to the second sub-area, the English dictionary is used as a first application, and the icon of the notepad is displayed corresponding to the touch position. If the icon is released in the first sub-area, displaying the notepad in the first sub-area, and displaying the video software and the notepad in a split screen mode at the moment; and if the icon is released in the second sub-area, displaying the English dictionary in the second sub-area, wherein the split-screen display is respectively reading software and the English dictionary.
As another embodiment, if a drag operation of dragging the icon of the first application in a preset direction is received, the application displayed in the preset direction is switched to the first application for display.
Specifically, the preset direction may include a top direction and a bottom direction. Under the condition of split-screen display, if a dragging operation of dragging an icon of a first application to the top direction is received, when the icon is released, the application displayed in the first sub-area is switched to the first application for display. And if a dragging operation of dragging the icon of the first application to the bottom direction is received, switching the application displayed in the second sub-area to the first application for display when the icon is released.
For example, when the screen is displayed in a split mode, the first sub-area displays the user interface of the third application, and the second sub-area displays the user interface of the fourth application. If the icon of the first application is dragged towards the top direction, when the icon is released, the displayed third application is switched into the first application, and a user interface of the first application is displayed in the first sub-area; and if the icon of the first application is dragged towards the bottom direction, switching the displayed fourth application into the first application when the icon is released, and displaying the user interface of the first application in the second sub-area.
For convenience of description, in this embodiment, when the icon of the first application is dragged to the top, the application currently displayed in the second sub-area is defined as the second application; and when the icon of the first application is dragged towards the bottom, defining the application currently displayed in the first sub-area as a second application.
In this embodiment, if the preset association condition of the first application and the second application is temporal association, no matter the icon of the first application is dragged to the top or the bottom, the first application is an application program that runs in the background and has the latest opening time closest to the current time.
In this embodiment, if the association between the first application and the second application is set by the user, the first application associated with the application displayed on the first sub-area and the first application associated with the application displayed on the second sub-area may be different. Thus, in this embodiment, the corresponding first application may be determined according to the direction in which the icon of the first application is dragged. The principle of the specific determination manner may be that, in the case of split-screen display, two applications displayed simultaneously are mutually related applications.
Specifically, in this embodiment, if the first application is dragged in the top direction, an application associated with a fourth application is searched as the first application, and an icon of the searched first application is displayed, where the fourth application is an application displayed in the second sub-area, or a second application defined when the icon of the first application is dragged in the top direction. If the icon is dragged towards the bottom direction, an application associated with a third application is searched as the first application, and the icon of the searched first application is displayed, wherein the third application is the application displayed in the first sub-area, or a second application defined when the icon is dragged towards the bottom direction.
It can be understood that, in the embodiment of the present application, a desktop of the electronic device may also be regarded as an application program for implementing the split-screen method in the embodiment of the present application.
