Abstract
The invention discloses a method and a system for self-adaptive output resolution ratio suitable for an intelligent set top box. The method comprises the following steps: step S1, connecting the set-top box to the television and obtaining the highest resolution supported by the television; step S2, the set-top box is connected to the network and receives the first video signal, and analyzes the resolution of the first video signal; step S3, the set top box converts the obtained first video signal into a second video signal according to the highest resolution supported by the television and the obtained resolution of the first video signal, and sends the second video signal to the television, where the resolution of the second video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television. Therefore, the set top box automatically switches and outputs the resolution of the video signal according to the resolution condition supported by the television and the resolution of the video signal by acquiring the resolution supported by the television, so that the television picture effect is optimal.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of digital television terminals, in particular to a set top box, and more particularly to a method and a system for self-adaptive output resolution suitable for the set top box.
Background
The television has become the first choice of the household audio-visual products due to the characteristics of large screen, high resolution and the like, and is generally applied nowadays. In order to adapt to the resolution of the tv set to obtain the best picture output, the set-top box may support switching of multiple resolutions, such as 2160P, 1080I, 720P, etc. However, when the resolution set by the set-top box is higher than the maximum resolution that the television can support, the television will have no picture output; when the resolution set by the set-top box is lower than the maximum resolution which can be supported by the television, the television picture cannot achieve the best effect, and the resource is seriously wasted. The problem of adapting the resolution of the set-top box to the resolution of the television becomes critical. In the prior art, the adaptation with the resolution of the television can be performed by manually setting the system parameters of the set-top box. The manual setting method requires the user to remember the maximum resolution supported by the tv, and in the case of having multiple tvs or frequently replacing tvs, the manual setting method is cumbersome to operate and is prone to output the resolution not supported by the tvs, which results in a black screen of the tvs.
Disclosure of Invention
The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a method and a system for adaptive output resolution suitable for a set-top box, aiming at the disadvantages of the prior art. According to the method and the system, the resolution ratio supported by the television is obtained, and the resolution ratio of the output video signal is automatically switched according to the condition of the resolution ratio supported by the television and the resolution ratio of the video signal, so that the television picture effect is optimal.
In order to solve the technical problem, the invention provides a method for self-adaptive output resolution suitable for an intelligent set top box, which comprises the following steps:
step S1, connecting the set-top box to the television and obtaining the highest resolution supported by the television;
step S2, the set-top box is connected to the network and receives the first video signal, and analyzes the resolution of the first video signal;
step S3, the set top box converts the obtained first video signal into a second video signal according to the highest resolution supported by the television and the obtained resolution of the first video signal, and sends the second video signal to the television, where the resolution of the second video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television.
In the method for adaptively outputting the resolution suitable for the intelligent set top box, when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is equal to the resolution of the first video signal.
In the method for adaptively outputting the resolution suitable for the intelligent set-top box, when the highest resolution supported by the set-top box is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television.
In the method for adaptively outputting resolution suitable for an intelligent set-top box, when the highest resolution supported by the set-top box is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the resolution of the first video signal.
According to the method for the self-adaptive output resolution of the intelligent set-top box, when the set-top box receives a manual resolution switching instruction input by a user, if the resolution selected by the user is the resolution which is not supported by the television, setting is not allowed, and the set-top box feeds back a corresponding prompt signal and transmits the prompt signal to the television.
In another aspect, the present invention further provides a system for adaptive output resolution suitable for an intelligent set-top box, including:
the reading analysis module is used for connecting to a television and acquiring the highest resolution supported by the television;
the signal transceiving module is used for connecting to a network, receiving a first video signal and analyzing the resolution of the first video signal;
and the resolution switching module is respectively connected with the reading analysis module and the signal transceiving module, and is used for converting the obtained first video signal into a second video signal according to the highest resolution supported by the television and the obtained resolution of the first video signal, and sending the second video signal to the television, wherein the resolution of the second video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television.
The system for the self-adaptive output resolution suitable for the intelligent set top box further comprises a manual setting module and a prompting module; the manual setting module is used for receiving a manual resolution switching instruction input by a user; and the prompting module is used for feeding back a corresponding prompting signal and transmitting the prompting signal to the television when the manual setting module receives an instruction of manually switching the resolution, which is input by a user, and the resolution selected by the user is the resolution which is not supported by the television.
In the system for adaptively outputting the resolution, which is suitable for the intelligent set top box, provided by the invention, the prompt signal comprises voice prompt information, text prompt information or image prompt information.
Compared with the prior art, the implementation of the method for the self-adaptive output resolution of the intelligent set top box has the following beneficial effects: the method comprises the following steps: step S1, connecting the set-top box to the television and obtaining the highest resolution supported by the television; step S2, the set-top box is connected to the network and receives the first video signal, and analyzes the resolution of the first video signal; step S3, the set top box converts the obtained first video signal into a second video signal according to the highest resolution supported by the television and the obtained resolution of the first video signal, and sends the second video signal to the television, where the resolution of the second video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television. Therefore, the set top box automatically switches and outputs the resolution of the video signal according to the resolution condition supported by the television and the resolution of the video signal by acquiring the resolution supported by the television, so that the television picture effect is optimal.

For a more clear understanding of the technical features, objects and effects of the present invention, embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is to be understood that the described embodiments are merely exemplary of the invention, and not restrictive of the full scope of the invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Example one
The embodiment provides a method for self-adaptive output resolution suitable for an intelligent set top box. The method comprises the following steps:
step S1, connecting the set-top box to the television and obtaining the highest resolution supported by the television; in this embodiment, after the set top box is connected to the television through an HDIM connection line, Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) of the television is acquired, and all resolutions supported by the television, including the highest resolution supported by the television, are acquired according to the EDID information of the television.
Step S2, the set-top box is connected to the network and receives the first video signal, and analyzes the resolution of the first video signal; in this embodiment, the set-top box is connected to a network through a network cable, so as to receive a video signal from a network end.
Step S3, the set top box converts the obtained first video signal into a second video signal according to the highest resolution supported by the television and the obtained resolution of the first video signal, and sends the second video signal to the television, where the resolution of the second video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television.
Specifically, when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is equal to the resolution of the first video signal. For example, when the maximum resolution supported by the set top box is 2160P @25Hz and the maximum resolution supported by the television is 2160P @25Hz, if the resolution of the played video source is 2160P @50Hz, that is, the resolution of the first video signal is 2160P @50Hz, the resolution of the second video signal is 2160P @25 Hz.

Specifically, when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the resolution of the first video signal. For example, when the maximum resolution supported by the set top box is 2160P @25Hz and the maximum resolution supported by the television is 2160P @50Hz, if the resolution of the first video signal is 2160P @50Hz, the resolution of the second video signal is 2160P @25 Hz.
Further, when the set-top box receives an instruction of manually switching the resolution, which is input by a user, and if the resolution selected by the user is the resolution which is not supported by the television, the set-top box feeds back a corresponding prompt signal and transmits the prompt signal to the television. The prompt signal comprises voice prompt information, text prompt information or image prompt information.
In summary, the method for adaptively outputting the resolution suitable for the intelligent set top box according to the embodiment can realize that the set top box automatically switches the resolution of the output video signal according to the resolution condition supported by the television and the resolution of the video signal by acquiring the resolution supported by the television, so that the television picture effect reaches the best.
Example two
The embodiment provides a system suitable for the self-adaptive output resolution of an intelligent set top box, and the system comprises a reading analysis module, a signal receiving and transmitting module, a resolution switching module, a manual setting module and a prompting module. The reading analysis module is used for connecting to a television and acquiring the highest resolution supported by the television; the signal transceiver module is used for connecting to a network, receiving a first video signal and analyzing the resolution of the first video signal; the resolution switching module is respectively connected to the reading analysis module and the signal transceiving module, and is configured to convert the obtained first video signal into a second video signal according to a highest resolution supported by the television and a resolution of the obtained first video signal, and send the second video signal to the television, where the resolution of the second video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television. The manual setting module is used for receiving a manual resolution switching instruction input by a user; and the prompting module is used for feeding back a corresponding prompting signal and transmitting the prompting signal to the television when the manual setting module receives an instruction of manually switching the resolution, which is input by a user, and the resolution selected by the user is the resolution which is not supported by the television. The prompt signal comprises voice prompt information, text prompt information or image prompt information.
In this embodiment, when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is equal to the resolution of the first video signal. For example, when the maximum resolution supported by the set top box is 2160P @50Hz and the maximum resolution supported by the television is 2160P @25Hz, if the resolution of the played video source is 2160P @50Hz, that is, the resolution of the first video signal is 2160P @50Hz, the resolution of the second video signal is 2160P @25 Hz.
In this embodiment, when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television. For example, when the maximum resolution supported by the set top box is 2160P @50Hz and the maximum resolution supported by the television is 2160P @25Hz, if the resolution of the played video source is 2160P @50Hz, that is, the resolution of the first video signal is 2160P @50Hz, the resolution of the second video signal is 2160P @25 Hz.
In this embodiment, when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the resolution of the first video signal. For example, when the maximum resolution supported by the set top box is 2160P @25Hz and the maximum resolution supported by the television is 2160P @50Hz, if the resolution of the first video signal is 2160P @50Hz, the resolution of the second video signal is 2160P @25 Hz.
The system provided by the embodiment can also realize that the set top box automatically switches the resolution of the output video signal according to the resolution condition supported by the television and the resolution of the video signal by acquiring the resolution supported by the television, so that the television picture effect is optimal.

Claims (5)
1. A method for adaptive output resolution suitable for an intelligent set top box is characterized by comprising the following steps:
step S1, connecting the set-top box to the television and obtaining the highest resolution supported by the television;
step S2, the set-top box is connected to the network and receives the first video signal, and analyzes the resolution of the first video signal;
step S3, the set top box converts the obtained first video signal into a second video signal according to the highest resolution supported by the television and the obtained resolution of the first video signal, and sends the second video signal to the television, where the resolution of the second video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television;
when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television: if the resolution of the first video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is equal to the resolution of the first video signal; if the resolution of the first video signal is higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television;
when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the resolution of the first video signal.
2. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein when the set-top box receives a manual resolution switching command from a user, if the resolution selected by the user is a resolution not supported by the tv, the set-top box feeds back a corresponding prompt signal and transmits the prompt signal to the tv.
3. A system for adaptive output resolution for intelligent set-top boxes, based on the method for adaptive output resolution for intelligent set-top boxes according to any of claims 1-2, comprising:
the reading analysis module is used for connecting to a television and acquiring the highest resolution supported by the television;
the signal transceiving module is used for connecting to a network, receiving a first video signal and analyzing the resolution of the first video signal;
a resolution switching module, respectively connected to the reading and analyzing module and the signal transceiving module, configured to convert the obtained first video signal into a second video signal according to a highest resolution supported by the television and a resolution of the obtained first video signal, and send the second video signal to the television, where the resolution of the second video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television;
when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television: if the resolution of the first video signal is not higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is equal to the resolution of the first video signal; if the resolution of the first video signal is higher than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television;
when the highest resolution supported by the set top box is lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, if the resolution of the first video signal is not lower than the highest resolution supported by the television, the resolution of the second video signal is lower than the resolution of the first video signal.
4. The system for adaptive output resolution for intelligent set-top boxes of claim 3, further comprising a manual setup module and a prompt module; the manual setting module is used for receiving a manual resolution switching instruction input by a user; and the prompting module is used for disallowing setting and feeding back a corresponding prompting signal and transmitting the prompting signal to the television when the manual setting module receives an instruction of manually switching the resolution, which is input by a user, and the resolution selected by the user is the resolution which is not supported by the television.
5. The system for adaptive output resolution for intelligent set-top boxes according to claim 4, wherein the alert signal comprises a voice alert, a text alert, or an image alert.
