Description

Elliptical trainer
Technical Field
The invention relates to an elliptical machine.
Background
Elliptical machines (also known as cross-trainers, X-trainers) are used to simulate climbing stairs, walking, or running.
The elliptical trainer can combine the advantages of the running machine and the bicycle to carry out the whole body exercise in the standing posture. Because both feet are fixed on the elliptical trainer at the same time, the stress time of the left foot and the right foot is half of that of the right foot, so that the impact force of the knee joint can be reduced, and the injury probability is reduced.
Most of the existing elliptical machines use the motion of "pulley" and "rail" to form a closed elliptical motion track. For example, US7,316,633 discloses an elliptical machine comprising a pair of slides. The front end of each sliding part is connected with a crank, and the rear end of each sliding part is provided with a pulley which can slide back and forth on a sliding rail. Further, a swing unit has a pair of swing arms and a pair of reciprocating members. The front end of each reciprocating element is pivoted with the tail end of a corresponding swing arm, and the rear end of each reciprocating element is fixed with a pedal seat. Each reciprocating element is pivoted with the corresponding sliding piece. When the pedal is operated, the front end of the sliding piece moves around the crank in a circular track, and the rear end of the sliding piece makes linear reciprocating motion, so that the motion track of the pedal is an ellipse.
In addition, the applicant previously filed US patent 8,926,478 discloses an elliptical machine comprising a base, a pair of leg elliptical mechanisms and a pair of hand elliptical mechanisms. The base has a frame at a front end thereof, which has a first central axis and a second central axis. The first central axis and the second central axis are parallel to each other and have a distance. The left side and the right side of the frame are respectively provided with a rewinding component which is axially arranged on the first central shaft so as to respectively allow the leg elliptic mechanism to revolve relative to the first central shaft. The hand elliptical mechanisms are respectively positioned on two sides of the frame and are provided with reverse components with shafts arranged on the second central shaft. The rotation component and the reversing component rotate in opposite directions, and the hand elliptical mechanism and the leg elliptical mechanism enable the hand and the leg of the user to form a closed track rotating in the same direction.

The prior art elliptical machine utilizes the motion of "pulley" and "rail" to form a closed elliptical motion track, requires the use of a plurality of linkages, and has the problems of loud noise, unsmooth pulley or deviation from the rail. In contrast, the elliptical trainer provided by the embodiment of the invention has the advantages of small volume, simple structure, smooth operation and low noise, can save a lot of material cost, and enables an operator to obtain good training effect.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to a preferred embodiment, it should be understood that various changes, substitutions and alterations can be made herein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
