Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to an IMS network registration method, apparatus, and terminal.
Background
For a terminal supporting VOLTE (Voice over LTE, LTE network audio call), when the terminal returns to the LTE network from the 2G/3G network, a Tracking Area Update (TAU) procedure needs to be performed, because the terminal does not know whether the current network supports VOLTE service, the terminal does not instruct the network to establish a Bearer on a user plane after the TAU procedure is completed in a Tracking Area Update request message sent to the network, at this time, the network generally does not establish a DRB (Data Radio Bearer), and the network releases RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection within a short time after the TAU procedure is completed.
After the TAU procedure is completed, if it is known that the current Network supports VOLTE service, the terminal will immediately initiate an IMS PDN (Public Data Network) establishment request, and at this time, if the Network just releases RRC connection, the IMS PDN establishment fails, and only retry the next timeout, thereby causing IMS registration delay. In addition, since the terminal does not instruct the network to establish a bearer on the user plane after the TAU procedure is completed in the tracking area update request message sent to the network, and the network is not ready to process the bearer establishment request initiated by the terminal, the IMS PDN establishment request may be rejected by the network, which may result in failure to perform subsequent IMS registration.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
The invention provides an IMS network registration method, as shown in figure 1, the method is applied to a terminal which returns to an LTE network from a 2G/3G network, the LTE network supports VOLTE service, and the method comprises the following steps:
s101, judging whether the network establishes a DRB in the TAU process;
s102, if the network does not establish the DRB, judging whether the network releases RRC connection within preset time;
s103, if the RRC connection is released by the network in the preset time, establishing a new RRC connection;
s104, establishing an IMS PDN connection;
and S105, carrying out IMS registration.
Optionally, if the network does not release the RRC connection when the predetermined time expires, as shown in fig. 2, the method further includes:
s106, locally releasing RRC connection;
s107, establishing a new RRC connection;
s108, establishing an IMS PDN connection;
and S109, carrying out IMS registration.
Optionally, if the network establishes a DRB in the TAU procedure, as shown in fig. 3, the method further includes:
s110, directly establishing an IMS PDN connection;
and S111, carrying out IMS registration.
For a terminal supporting VOLTE (Voice over LTE, LTE Network audio call), when the terminal returns to the LTE Network from a 2G/3G Network, a TAU (Tracking Area Update) process needs to be performed, after the TAU process is completed, if the current Network supports VOLTE service, the existing technical scheme is that the terminal immediately initiates an IMS PDN (Public Data Network) establishment request, after the IMS PDN establishment is successful, the terminal initiates an IMS registration process again, and after the IMS registration is successful, the terminal can perform VOLTE service.
In the prior art, when a TAU procedure is performed, since a terminal does not know whether a network supports VOLTE or not, it is not determined whether an IMS PDN establishment procedure is to be performed after the TAU procedure is completed, so the terminal sets an "Active" flag to 0 in a TAU request message, in this case, the network generally does not establish a DRB, and the network releases an RRC connection in a short time after the TAU procedure is completed. Then, if the terminal immediately initiates an IMS PDN connection establishment request after the TAU procedure is completed, it may happen that the network just releases the RRC connection, which may cause the IMS PDN establishment procedure to fail, and only wait for the next timeout retry and IMS registration. In addition, since the network is not ready to immediately process the bearer establishment request of the terminal when the "Active" flag is set to 0, the IMS PDN establishment request may be rejected by the network, and if this happens, the subsequent IMS registration cannot be performed.
As shown in fig. 4, a flowchart of a specific implementation of the IMS network registration method provided by the present invention includes the following specific implementation steps:
And step 2, the network replies TRACKING AREA UPDATE ACCEPT (receiving the TAU request message) to the terminal, and indicates that the current Tracking Area (Tracking Area) supports VOLTE in an EPS network feature support (EPS network feature support) cell.
Step 3, the terminal judges whether the network establishes the DRB in the TAU process according to the RRC signaling message, and respectively performs corresponding processing as the step 3.1 and the step 3.2 according to the judged specific conditions:
step 3.1, in the TAU process, the network does not establish DRB, in this case, the terminal will start the T3440 timer, wait for the network to release the connection, and perform corresponding processing as in step 3.1.1 and step 3.1.2 respectively according to whether the network releases RRC connection before the T3440 timer times out:
step 3.1.1, before the T3440 timer is overtime, the network releases the RRC connection:
step 3.1.1.1, the network sends RRC CONNECTION Release (message for releasing RRC CONNECTION) to the terminal to RELEASE RRC CONNECTION,
step 3.1.1.2, the terminal re-establishes the RRC connection after returning to IDLE state, thereafter re-establishes the IMS PDN connection,
step 3.1.1.3, after the IMS PDN connection is successfully established, carrying out an IMS registration process;
step 3.1.2, when the T3440 timer is overtime, the network does not release RRC connection, and the terminal locally releases RRC connection:
step 3.1.2.1, the terminal reestablishes RRC connection, reestablishes IMS PDN connection after successful establishment,
and step 3.1.2.2, after the IMS PDN connection is successfully established, performing an IMS registration process.
Step 3.2, in the process of TAU, the network establishes DRB, and in this scenario, the network will not release RRC connection in a short time:
step 3.2.1.1, the terminal directly initiates an IMS PDN connection establishment request,
and 3.2.1.2, after the IMS PDN connection is successfully established, carrying out an IMS registration process.
In the IMS network registration method provided in the embodiment of the present invention, when the network does not establish a DRB in the TAU procedure, if the network releases the RRC connection within a predetermined time, the network re-initiates establishment of the RRC connection after releasing the RRC connection, thereby performing IMS registration, if the network does not release the RRC connection within the predetermined time, after the predetermined time is overtime, the network locally releases the RRC connection, re-initiates establishment of the RRC connection, and thereby performs IMS registration; when the DRB is established in the TAU process, the establishment of the IMS PDN is directly initiated, and then IMS registration is carried out. Compared with the prior art, the invention carries out different processing on the initiating time of the subsequent IMS PDN establishing flow after judging whether the network establishes the DRB in the TAU process, thereby being capable of quickly registering in the IMS network and improving the success rate of IMS network registration.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides an IMS network registration apparatus, where the apparatus is located at a terminal that returns to an LTE network from a 2G/3G network, and the LTE network supports VOLTE services, as shown in fig. 5, the apparatus includes:
