The invention discloses a wallpaper switching method and a mobile terminal. Wherein, the method comprises the following steps: detecting touch operation on a screen of the mobile terminal to obtain touch data; recognizing a touch gesture on the screen according to the touch data; if the touch gesture meets a preset condition, acquiring a multimedia file corresponding to the touch gesture; and switching the current wallpaper of the mobile terminal into the target wallpaper after the multimedia file is played in the screen. The wallpaper replacing device solves the technical problem of complex wallpaper replacing operation.

Wherein, in case that the touch gesture is a pinch gesture (e.g. a two-finger pinch gesture or a multi-finger pinch gesture), the multimedia file is displayed as a dynamic effect that the current wallpaper is pinched; in the case that the touch gesture is a slide gesture (such as a Z-shaped slide, an N-shaped slide, etc.), the multimedia file is displayed as a dynamic effect that the current wallpaper is scratched; in the case where the touch gesture is a flick gesture (e.g., full palm slap or palm flick), the multimedia file is displayed as a dynamic effect of the current wallpaper waving.
Through the steps, the touch gesture on the screen is detected, the current wallpaper is switched after the corresponding multimedia file is played, the interaction gesture is adopted to replace the multi-step operation, the effect of quickly replacing the wallpaper is achieved, the dynamic effect vision of corresponding action is generated through the interaction gesture, and the wallpaper switching process is more interesting and personalized.
