In an embodiment of the application, the first application satisfies at least one of the following conditions: the used frequency is larger than or equal to a first threshold, the last use time is smaller than or equal to a second threshold from the current system time, the application download time is smaller than or equal to a third threshold from the current system time, and the display priority is larger than or equal to a fourth threshold.
In an embodiment of the present application, after displaying the application icon of the at least one first application in the special-shaped area, the processing unit 501 further includes:
a removing unit for removing the application icon of the at least one first application from the shaped area in case the regular area displays a system desktop.
In an embodiment of the application, after displaying the application icon of the at least one first application in the special-shaped area, the first display unit is further configured to, in a case that it is detected that a second target application receives a short message from a specific contact of the second target application, flicker and display an application icon of the second target application in the special-shaped area, where the second target application is one of the at least one first application.

the controller is configured to control the special-shaped area to display an application icon of at least one first application, where the application icon is dynamically displayed, the first special-shaped area and the second special-shaped area are used to display the application icon of the at least one first application, the first application is currently running in a background of the electronic device, and the first application at least meets the following conditions: the last use time is less than or equal to a second threshold value from the current system time;
the controller is further configured to detect a click operation on an application icon of a first target application, where the first target application is one of the at least one first application;
the controller is further configured to control the rule area to display an application interface of the first target application;
wherein, when the number of the at least one first application is K, where K is an integer greater than 1, displaying an application icon of the at least one first application in the special-shaped area, including:
the electronic device acquires the latest starting time of the K first applications, and alternately displays the application icons of the M first applications in the special-shaped area according to the early-late sequence of the latest starting time corresponding to the K first applications, wherein M is a positive integer.
2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the controller is specifically configured to:
and controlling the special-shaped area to display at least one application icon of a first application under the condition that the regular area displays an application interface of a second application, wherein the second application is different from the first application.

The apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the first application further satisfies at least one of the following conditions: the used frequency is larger than or equal to a first threshold value, the application downloading time is smaller than or equal to a third threshold value from the current system time, and the display priority is larger than or equal to a fourth threshold value.
4. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the controller is further configured to control the shaped area to remove the application icon from display for the at least one first application if the regular area displays a system desktop.

The apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the controller is further configured to control the shaped area to flash and display an application icon of a second target application if it is detected that the second target application receives a short message from a specific contact of the second target application, wherein the second target application is one of the at least one first application.

displaying at least one application icon of a first application in the special-shaped area, wherein the application icon is dynamically displayed, the first special-shaped area and the second special-shaped area are used for displaying the application icon of the at least one first application, the first application is currently running in a background of the electronic device, and the first application at least meets the following conditions: the last use time is less than or equal to a second threshold value from the current system time;
detecting a click operation of an application icon aiming at a first target application, wherein the first target application is one of the at least one first application;
displaying an application interface of the first target application in the rule area;
wherein, when the number of the at least one first application is K, where K is an integer greater than 1, displaying an application icon of the at least one first application in the special-shaped area, including:
