Detailed Description
In order to make those skilled in the art better understand the technical solution of the present invention, the technical solution in the embodiment of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiment of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiment is only a part of the embodiment of the present invention, and not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1, a storage management method of a storage device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes:
s10: in the online process of the storage device, reading configuration information stored in a metadata area of the storage device, and judging whether the read disk array information of the storage device exists in a configuration file of a system, wherein the storage device is divided into metadata areas for storing the configuration information of the storage device.
In the method, a metadata area for storing the configuration information of the storage device is divided in the storage device, and the configuration information of the storage device is stored in the metadata area.
Specifically, referring to fig. 2, in the method, the IO stack of the system includes, from top to bottom, a logic unit layer 22, a disk array layer 21, and a driver layer 20, where a storage pool layer 23 runs through the three layers.
Accordingly, the configuration information of the storage device includes a drive configuration file, a disk array configuration file, a storage pool configuration file, and a logical unit configuration file.
Exemplary, among others, the drive profile includes: unique drive identifiers (UUIDs), IDs, manufacturers, types (e.g., SAS, SATA, or SSD), capacities, unique identifiers for a home array of Disks (RAID), etc.
The configuration file of the disk array comprises: the unique identification code of the disk array, ID, name, type, capacity, creation time, number of owned hard disks and unique identification code of each hard disk, stripe size, unique identification code of the home storage pool, information of the logical units contained, etc.
The configuration file for the storage pool includes: unique identification of the storage pool, ID, name, capacity, creation time, owned disk array, and unique identification of the logical unit, etc.
The configuration file of the logic unit comprises: the unique identification code of the logical unit, ID, name, type, capacity, creation time, unique identification code of the attached disk array and the capacity allocated on that disk array, unique identification code of the attached storage pool, etc.
These configuration information for the storage device is stored in the metadata area of the storage device and is redundant with the corresponding configuration files stored in the system disk. After the storage device is inserted into a system to be online, scanning a metadata area of the storage device in the online process of the storage device in the system, and reading configuration information stored in the metadata area of the storage device. According to the read disk array information of the storage device, whether the same disk array information exists or not is checked in the configuration file of the system. If yes, the system is indicated to contain the configuration file of the storage device, and the storage device can be directly subjected to storage management, data access and the like in the system.
If not, the flow proceeds to step S11,
s11: and the storage equipment is on-line by a third party entity, and the storage equipment is managed.
And according to the configuration information read from the storage device, creating a corresponding object for the storage device in a system memory.
The method specifically comprises the following steps:
s110: and the disk array of the storage device is put on line.
In the specific implementation, in this step, it is first checked whether the disk array name of the storage device conflicts with the existing disk array name of the system, and if so, the disk array name of the storage device is changed. Therefore, the method of the embodiment can automatically check whether the disk array name conflict exists in the online process of the storage device, and automatically solve the problem of the name conflict.
For example, in one processing mode, when it is checked that the disk array name of the storage device conflicts with the name of the existing disk array of the system, the disk array name of the storage device may be added with a confllict suffix.
In addition, in a preferred embodiment, after the disk array of the storage device is successfully online, if the disk array of the storage device can normally read and write data, the disk array and the logic unit corresponding to the storage device display original information according to the configuration information read from the metadata area of the storage device.
The state of the storage device may be a normal state, a defective state or a fault state, where the normal state refers to that the disk array can read and write data normally, and faults such as a bad disk and a disk drop do not occur; the defect state means that the disk array is damaged or a hard disk is missed, but data can be read and written normally; the failure state refers to that the disk array is damaged or two or more hard disks are missed, and data cannot be read and written normally at the moment. For a third-party storage device, when the storage device is online, the storage device is added into a storage pool named Unkown by a system, the storage pool belongs to disk arrays which are sequentially named Unkown-1, Unkown-2 and …, and the logical unit names on the storage device are sequentially named Unkown-1, Unkown-2 and …, so that data reading and writing are inconvenient. Therefore, in the method, if the disk array of the online storage device can read and write data normally, the disk array and the logic unit corresponding to the storage device can display the original name according to the configuration information read from the metadata area of the storage device, and the state of the storage device can be correspondingly displayed at the same time.
S111: and after the disk array of the storage equipment is successfully online, the storage pool to which the disk array belongs is online.
Preferably, in this step, when the storage pool to which the disk array of the storage device belongs is online, it is first checked whether the name of the storage pool of the storage device conflicts with the name of the storage pool already included in the system, and if yes, the name of the storage pool of the storage device is changed. Therefore, the method of the embodiment can automatically check whether the storage pool name conflict exists in the online process of the storage device and automatically solve the name conflict problem.
S112: and after the line is successfully established in the storage pool of the storage device, establishing a line of the logic unit to which the storage pool belongs.
Preferably, in the process of online the logical unit to which the storage device pool belongs, it is first checked whether the logical unit name of the storage device conflicts with the name of the logical unit already included in the system, and if yes, the logical unit name of the storage device is changed. Therefore, the method of the embodiment can automatically check whether the name conflict of the logical unit exists in the online process of the storage device and automatically solve the problem of the name conflict.
It can be seen that, in the storage management method for the storage device according to this embodiment, the configuration information of the storage device itself is stored in the metadata area of the storage device, and when the storage device is online in the system, the storage device can be online according to the configuration information stored in the metadata area of the storage device, and storage management is performed on the storage device. When the conditions that the system disk of the storage device is damaged or the configuration information is deleted and the like are met, the storage device can be managed on the system by a third party, so that the defects in the prior art are overcome.
In addition, the storage management method of the storage equipment can also be applied to hard disk roaming, a data disk or a hot spare disk can be unplugged from the system A, and read data can be inserted into the system B. Based on the method, remote data copying can be realized, if large-capacity data is copied remotely, a large amount of time is consumed for transmission through a network, and the network transmission load is increased. Based on the method, the data can be copied to the local hard disk firstly, then the hard disk is inserted in a different place, and a third party is online, so that the problem of remotely copying the large-capacity data can be solved. The competitiveness of the stored product is improved.
