Description

Method and device for releasing resources after network switching of terminal in VoLTE (Voice over Long term evolution)
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) network, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for releasing resources after a terminal in VoLTE is switched over a network.
Background
In a VoLTE network, after a fourth Generation Communication Technology (4G) terminal makes a voice call with an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network through a Packet Switching Domain (PS) network, if The terminal performs network handover and performs a voice call with The IMS network through a Circuit Switched Domain (CS) network, a network element of The IMS network will tear down an original call of The PS network according to a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), and send a release call request (i.e., a BYE request) or an SIP signaling message such as a failure response, thereby ensuring release of related resources.
However, there is no standard for how to process the SIP signaling message received through the original PS network after the terminal performs network handover. The respective implementation modes of the existing terminal manufacturers are not consistent, namely some terminals can process the SIP signaling message from the original network, and some terminals do not process the SIP signaling message from the original network. For a terminal which does not process the SIP signaling message from the original network, the network element of the IMS network still needs to retransmit the BYE request or the failure response according to the standard protocol of SIP, and release the resource overtime until 32 seconds later. Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a work flow when a mobile terminal is switched to a network in a current VOLTE network, and as shown in fig. 1, the steps include:
step S101 and step S102: the terminal (e.g. handset) sends a voice call SIP request to the current registered network, i.e. the PS network, and forwards the request to the IMS network via the PS network.
Step S103 and step S104: the terminal is switched from the PS network to the CS network due to the signal reason, and the voice call needs to be switched to the CS network, at the moment, the terminal sends a SIP request for switching the network voice call to the CS network, and the request is forwarded to the IMS network through the CS network.
Step S105 and step S106: after the handover occurs, the IMS network needs to release the resources related to the PS network voice call, and at this time, a release call request or a failure response is sent.
The terminals are classified into terminals that can process the SIP signaling messages in step S105 and step S106 and terminals that cannot process the SIP signaling messages in step S105 and step S106. For a terminal that cannot process the SIP signaling message in step S105 and step S106, the IMS network retransmits the SIP signaling message in step S105 and step S106 until the protocol times out after 32 seconds, which increases the network load of the IMS network and the PS network, and further increases the resource occupation time of the network element of the IMS network and the message load of the PS network and the IMS network.
Disclosure of Invention
The technical problem solved by the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention is to solve the problems that in a VoLTE network, when a terminal is switched in a voice call or voice call, the terminal does not process SIP signaling messages from the original network, so that the resource occupation time of a VoLTE network element is increased, and the IMS network element retransmits SIP signaling according to an SIP protocol, so that the burden of the whole network is increased.

Detailed Description
The preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, and it should be understood that the preferred embodiments described below are only for the purpose of illustrating and explaining the present invention, and are not to be construed as limiting the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a block diagram of a method for releasing resources after network handover occurs in a terminal in VoLTE according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 2, the steps include:
step S201: after the VoLTE voice service of the terminal is switched from the original network to the current network, the IMS network detects whether the terminal has the capability of removing the voice call of the original network.
Specifically, the IMS network sends a detection message to the terminal through the original network, and if the IMS network receives a response message of replying the detection message by the terminal through the original network, the terminal is determined to have the capability of removing the original network voice call; if the IMS network does not receive the response message of the terminal reply detection message through the original network, the IMS network sends the detection message to the terminal through the original network again, and when the frequency of sending the detection message to the terminal through the original network reaches the preset frequency (for example, 2 or 3 times) and does not receive the corresponding response message, the IMS network determines that the terminal does not have the capability of removing the voice call of the original network.
Step S202: the IMS network adopts different strategies according to the detection result to release the voice call resource of the original network.
Specifically, the IMS network determines a policy for removing the voice call of the original network according to the detection result, removes the voice call of the original network according to the determined policy, and releases the voice call resource of the original network.
Furthermore, if the IMS network detects that the terminal has the capability of tearing down the voice call of the original network, the IMS network releases the voice call resource of the original network in a manner of sending an SIP signaling. That is, the IMS network sends SIP signaling to the terminal through the original network one or more times (retransmission) until the terminal processes the SIP signaling or 32s times out, releasing the call request or failing the response.
Further, if the IMS network detects that the terminal does not have the capability of tearing down the voice call of the original network, the IMS network releases the voice call resource of the original network in a manner of not sending or retransmitting the SIP signaling. That is, the IMS network directly releases the voice call resource allocated to the original network without sending the SIP signaling to the terminal, or releases the voice call resource allocated to the original network after sending the SIP signaling only once through the original network.
The capability of the terminal to tear down the voice call of the original network refers to the capability of the terminal to process the SIP signaling from the original network.
The terminal may be a 4G terminal, the existing network may be a PS network, and the current network may be a CS network.
The above SIP signaling is a release call request (i.e., BYE request) or a failure response. If the switching occurs in the voice call stage, the SIP signaling is a call release request; if the handover occurs in the voice call phase, the SIP signaling is a failure response.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that all or part of the steps in the method according to the above embodiments may be implemented by a program, which may be stored in a computer-readable storage medium, and includes steps S201 to S202 when the program is executed. The storage medium may be ROM/RAM, magnetic disk, optical disk, etc.
Fig. 3 is a block diagram of an apparatus for releasing resources after a terminal in VoLTE is subjected to network handover, as shown in fig. 3, including: capability detection module 10 and resource release module 20.
And the capability detection module 10 is configured to detect whether the terminal has a capability of removing an original network voice call after the VoLTE voice service of the terminal is switched from the original network to the current network. Specifically, the capability detection module 10 sends a detection message to the terminal through the original network, and determines that the terminal has the capability of removing the original network voice call if a response message of replying the detection message by the terminal is received through the original network; if the response message of the terminal reply detection message is not received through the original network, the detection message is sent to the terminal through the original network again, and when the frequency of sending the detection message to the terminal through the original network reaches a preset frequency (for example, 3 or 4 times) and the corresponding response message is not received yet, the terminal is determined not to have the capability of removing the original network voice call.
And the resource releasing module 20 is configured to release the voice call resource of the original network in a manner of sending an SIP signaling when the capability detecting module 10 detects that the terminal has the capability of removing the voice call of the original network, and release the voice call resource of the original network in a manner of not sending or retransmitting the SIP signaling when the capability detecting module 10 detects that the terminal does not have the capability of removing the voice call of the original network. Specifically, the resource releasing module 20 directly releases the voice call resource allocated to the original network without sending the SIP signaling to the terminal, or sends the SIP signaling only once through the original network and then releases the voice call resource allocated to the original network.
The capability of the terminal to tear down the voice call of the original network refers to the capability of the terminal to process the SIP signaling from the original network.
The legacy network may be a PS network, and the current network may be a CS network.
The device for releasing the resources after the terminal is switched to the network in the VoLTE may be disposed in the IMS network.
Fig. 4 is a flowchart of a work flow of releasing resources after a terminal is switched over in a VoLTE network according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the VoLTE network in the telecommunication field is taken as an example in the present embodiment, and after a terminal (for example, a 4G mobile phone) is switched over in a PS network (telecommunication 4G network) and a CS network (telecommunication 2G network), an IMS network connected to the PS network and the CS network protects resources. Specifically, when a terminal is switched over in a voice network, an IMS network element sends SIP signaling to an original network to detect the terminal capability so as to determine whether the terminal can process subsequent SIP signaling from the original network or not and determine whether the IMS network element sends SIP signaling information for removing the original call to the original network or not, thereby ensuring the timely release of the IMS network element and network resources. As shown in fig. 4, the workflow steps of this embodiment are explained as follows:
step S301 and step S302: the terminal sends a voice call SIP request to the current registered network, i.e. the PS network, and forwards the request to the IMS network via the PS network.
Step S303 and step S304: the terminal switches to the CS network when the registration network is switched due to the signal, and correspondingly switches the voice call to the CS network and forwards the voice call to the IMS network. That is, the terminal registers the network to switch from the PS network to the CS network, and needs to switch the voice call to the CS network, at which time the terminal sends a SIP request for switching the network to the CS network, and forwards the request to the IMS network via the CS network.
Step S305 and step S306: after the switching, the IMS network senses the network switching of the terminal, and sends a detection message OPTIONS to the terminal through the original PS network. That is, after the handover occurs, the IMS network sends a probe message OPTIONS to the terminal through the original network, i.e., the PS network.
Step S307 and step S308: if the IMS network receives the OPTIONS response message sent by the terminal through the PS network, it indicates that the terminal can process the subsequent SIP message, i.e. it has the capability of tearing down the PS network voice call.
Step S309 and step S310: the IMS network sends BYE (release call request) or failure response to the PS network so that the terminal can carry out corresponding processing according to the received BYE or failure response, the IMS network releases the voice call resource of the PS network, and the process is finished.
The IMS network does not receive the OPTIONS response message in step S307 and step S308, which indicates that the terminal cannot process the subsequent SIP message, i.e. it does not have the capability of tearing down the PS network voice call, at this time, the IMS network does not send or only sends once (i.e. does not retransmit) the BYE or failure response to the terminal, and releases the voice call resource of the PS network.
Taking the predetermined number of times of sending the probe message as 3 times as an example, the IMS network sends the probe message OPTIONS to the terminal through the PS network every 1s until the third probe message OPTIONS is sent. If the IMS network receives the corresponding message of the terminal replying the corresponding detection message OPTIONS, the terminal is determined to have the capability of removing the original network voice call; and if the third detection message OPTIONS is sent to the terminal through the PS network and the corresponding response message is not received yet, determining that the terminal does not have the capability of removing the original network voice call. That is, if the terminal responds to the OPTIONS request (i.e., the probe message OPTIONS) in step S305 and step S306, after receiving the response, the IMS network determines that the terminal can process the SIP message, and sends a request for releasing the call (i.e., a BYE request) or a failure response to the terminal through the PS network, and the procedure is ended; if the terminal does not respond to the OPTIONS request in step S305 and step S306, after 1 second interval, the IMS network sends a probe message OPTIONS to the terminal through the original PS network again (for the second time); if the terminal responds to the OPTIONS request sent for the second time, after receiving the response, the IMS network judges that the terminal can process the SIP message, and sends a request for releasing the call or a failure response to the terminal through the PS network, and the process is ended; if the terminal does not respond to the OPTIONS request sent for the second time, the IMS network sends the detection message OPTIONS to the terminal again (for the third time) through the original PS network after 1 second interval, if the terminal responds to the OPTIONS request sent for the third time, the IMS network judges that the terminal can process the SIP message after receiving the response, and sends the request for releasing the call or the failure response to the terminal through the PS network, and the process is ended; if the terminal does not respond to the OPTIONS request sent for the third time, the terminal is considered to be incapable of processing the SIP signaling of the original network after switching, the IMS network does not send any SIP signaling or still sends BYE or failure response to the PS network, but does not retransmit, and releases the voice call resources of the original PS network, and the process is ended. The embodiment can judge whether the terminal supports the SIP signaling processing of the original network after switching 29 seconds in advance, thereby greatly reducing the resource occupation time of IMS network elements, reducing the network retransmission of the SIP signaling, reducing the occupation of a PS network and further releasing the resources in time.
That is, when the terminal switches networks for voice calls, the IMS network element detects the terminal by sending an SIP request message (e.g., OPTIONS) to the original network, and if a response corresponding to the SIP request can be received through the original network, it is considered that the terminal can respond to a BYE or failure response of the split call, and at this time, the IMS network element performs a subsequent process according to a standard process of the SIP protocol; if the response corresponding to the SIP request cannot be received through the original network, the terminal is considered to be incapable of responding to the BYE or the failure response of the split call, at the moment, the IMS network element implements special processing, namely the BYE or the failure response of the split call is not sent to the original network, or the BYE or the failure response is sent but retransmission of the BYE or the failure response is not carried out, and self resources are released, so that release of the self resources is ensured, and transmission of invalid network signaling is reduced.
Although the present invention has been described in detail hereinabove, the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications can be made by those skilled in the art in light of the principle of the present invention. Thus, modifications made in accordance with the principles of the present invention should be understood to fall within the scope of the present invention.
