The shape of the functional area 23 may also be circular arc, rounded rectangle, rounded square, etc.
The functional area 23 may be formed in the display area 21 of the display screen 20.
The location of the functional area 23 may vary depending on the function performed by the functional component 60 and the location set.
Referring to fig. 1, in one embodiment, the at least two functional components 60 include a sensor module 61 and a camera 62. In one embodiment, the sensor module 61 and the camera 62 are arranged side by side. Such as sensor module 61 is located on one side, such as the left side, of camera 62. It will of course be appreciated that the sensor module 61 may be located above the camera 62. In one embodiment, the sensor module 61 is a two-in-one device, wherein the sensor module 61 is a two-in-one device of a receiver and a transmitter.
As shown in fig. 4, in an embodiment, the sensor module 61 is not a two-in-one device, that is, the sensor module 61 includes a receiver 611 and a transmitter 612, the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 are spaced apart, and a space between the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 is between 6 mm and 14 mm. The receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 may be arranged side by side. Wherein the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 are located on opposite sides of the camera 62. Such as a receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 are respectively located on the left and right sides of the camera 62. It will of course be appreciated that the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 are located on the upper and lower sides of the camera 62, respectively.
In a specific setting, as shown in fig. 5, the camera 62 includes a lens 621 and a base 622, and the combination of the base 622 and the lens 621 forms a step 623, that is, the combination of the base 622 and the lens 621 forms a convex structure. The portion where the lens 621 is located is a convex portion, the portions on both sides of the lens 621 are steps 623, and the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 are located on the steps 623, that is, the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 are located on the steps on both left and right sides. It will be appreciated that the above-described step 623 may be formed directly by the camera 62 as a whole, instead of by the combination of the base 622 and the lens 621.
In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 6, the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 may be disposed side by side and above the camera 62. At this time, the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 are located on the step 623 of the camera 62 on the side close to the receiver 611 and the transmitter 612.
As shown in fig. 7, in an embodiment, the at least two functional components 60 further include a receiver 63, wherein the receiver 63 is located above the sensor module 61 and the camera 62. In one embodiment, the top of the receiver 63 is flush with the top of the camera 62. In order to reduce the size of the functional area even better, the receiver 63 is located at the edge of the display screen 20, i.e. close to the top of the housing 40. It will be appreciated that the receiver 63 may also be located below the sensor module 61 and the camera 62. In one embodiment, the camera 62 and the sensor module 61 are disposed side by side.
As shown in fig. 8, in an embodiment, the sensor module 61 is located between the receiver 63 and the camera 62. The receiver 611 and the transmitter 612 are located between the receiver 63 and the camera 62.
As shown in fig. 9, in one embodiment, the sensor module 61 further includes an ambient light sensor 613. In one embodiment, the receiver 611 and the ambient light sensor 613 are two-in-one devices.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 10, the display screen 20 may also include no non-display area, that is, only the display area 21 and the functional area 23. At this time, an IC for controlling the display screen 20 to display information may be provided in the thickness direction of the display screen 20.
Fig. 12 shows a cross-sectional view of the display 20 of fig. 11 along line P1-P1. Referring to fig. 12, the display screen 20 may include a plurality of layers. For example, the display screen 20 may include an upper panel 24 and a lower panel 25. The upper plate 24 may include a color filter layer, and the lower plate 25 may include a thin film transistor and a wiring connected to the thin film transistor. A layer of liquid crystal material may be disposed between the upper plate 24 and the lower plate 25. However, the constituent parts of the plurality of layers of the display screen 20 are not limited thereto, but may vary according to the type of the display screen 20. For example, when the display screen 20 is an organic light emitting display device, the liquid crystal material layer disposed between the upper and lower plates 24 and 25 may be omitted, or an organic/inorganic material layer may be formed therebetween.
The functional area 23 may be formed in the upper plate 24 and/or the lower plate 25 of the display screen 20. When the functional region 23 is formed in the upper plate 24 or the lower plate 25 of the display screen 20, the functional region 23 may be a blind hole. When the functional areas 23 are formed in the upper and lower plates 24 and 25 of the display screen 20, the functional areas 23 may be through holes. At least some portions of the functional component 60 may be inserted into the functional area 23. For example, in terms of size, portions of the functional component 60 may be inserted into the functional area 23; while in terms of thickness, portions of the functional component 60 may be inserted into the functional region 23.
At least some portions of the functional components 60 are inserted into the functional area 23 of the display 20. d1 is the thickness of the functional component 60 and d2 is the thickness of the display screen 20. In addition, the size (or area) of the functional component 60 and the display 20 may also be smaller than the sum of their original sizes when connected in the terminal 100.
For example, as shown in fig. 12, when the thickness d1 of the functional component 60 is greater than the thickness d2 of the display screen 20, and the functional component 60 is inserted into the functional region 23 with the thickness d2 of the display screen 20, the thicknesses of the functional component 60 and the display screen 20 when connected in the terminal 100 may be the same as the thickness d1 of the functional component 60. In other words, the thickness d2 of the functional component 60 overlapping the display 20 via the functional region 23 does not cause an increase in the thickness of the terminal 100.
The planar shape of the functional area 23 may be circular arc, rounded rectangle, rounded square, circular, or the like. Here, the planar shape refers to a shape in the vertical direction of the front face.
The planar shape of the functional region 23 may vary according to the shape of the functional component 60 inserted into the functional region 23, the ratio of the functional component 60 inserted into the functional region 23, and the like.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 13, when the planar shape of the functional module 60 is circular, and half of the functional module 60 is inserted into the functional area 23, the planar shape of the functional area 23 may be semicircular (i.e., circular arc shape), that is, half of the planar shape of the functional module 60.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 14, when the planar shape of the functional component 60 is square, and the entire portion of the functional component 60 is inserted into the functional region 23, the planar shape of the functional region 23 may be square corresponding to the planar shape of the functional component 60.
It will be appreciated that although the functional components 60 described above are disposed at the edges of the top or bottom midsection, the functional areas 23 may be located at the edges of the top or bottom midsection, but are not limiting to the invention. It will be appreciated that the functional component 60 may also be disposed in the middle of the top end of the terminal, in which case the functional area 23 may be located in the middle of the top end of the display area 21. Of course, the method is not limited to the above, and for example, the position of the functional area 23 may be set inside the display screen, so long as the position of the functional component 60 corresponds to the position of the functional area 23.
The functional region 23 may be formed in a variety of ways. In some embodiments, functional area 23 may be formed by blade cutting. In some embodiments, functional region 23 may be formed by laser cutting.
Fig. 15 shows a cross-sectional view of an example of how the functional component 60 is arranged in the terminal 100. Referring to fig. 15, the cover plate 10 may be disposed at the front of the housing 40. The display screen 20, the printed circuit board 30, the battery 50, and the functional module 60 may be disposed between the case 40 and the cover plate 10.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 16, the functional component 60 further includes a signal receiving region 614. The signal receiving area 614 is used to transmit the signals collected by the functional module 60 from the outside to a signal processing center in the printed circuit board 30.
In the above embodiment, the number of the functional components 60 inserted into the functional area 23 is at least two. In one embodiment, the functional component 60 inserted into the functional area 23 includes a camera 62 and a sensor module 61. In one embodiment, the functional component 60 inserted into the functional area 23 includes a camera 62 and a receiver 63. In one embodiment, the functional component 60 inserted into the functional area 23 includes a camera 62, a receiver 63, and a sensor module 61. In some embodiments, the number of the functional components 60 may be more than three, which is not described herein.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 17, two functional components 60a and 60b disposed at the front and rear sides of the terminal 100 are inserted into the front and rear sides of the functional area 23, respectively. For example, the functional component 60a disposed on the front side may be a camera module, and the functional component 60b disposed on the rear side may be a heart rate sensor module for measuring a heart rate. In some embodiments, two functional components 60a and 60b are disposed side-by-side in the same functional area 23 on the display 20. At this time, the functional component 60a may be a camera module, and the functional component 60b may be a proximity sensor module for detecting a distance state between the terminal and an external object.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 18, a functional component 60 inserted into the functional area 23 may penetrate the housing 40. The functional component 60 has a first region 601 and a second region 602 arranged opposite to each other, the first region 601 and the second region 602 being respectively used for realizing different functions. For example, the first area 601 may implement a display function for displaying information in cooperation with a display area of the display screen 20; the second region 602 may be used to implement camera functions, heart rate sensor functions, and the like.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 19 and 20, the functional component 60 may also be rotatably inserted into the functional area 23. The functional component 60 has oppositely disposed first and second regions. The functional component 60 may be rotated about the rotational axis I-I on the terminal such that the first area is located on the surface on which the display 20 is located, or rotated 180 degrees about the rotational axis I-I such that the second area is located on the surface on which the display 20 is located. The rotation axis I-I is parallel to the edge of the display screen 20 where the upper end is located.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 21, the functional component 60 may also be inserted into the functional area 23 rotationally. The functional component 60 has oppositely disposed first and second regions. The functional component 60 may be rotated about the rotational axis II-II on the terminal such that the first area is located on the surface of the display 20 or rotated 180 degrees about the rotational axis II-II such that the second area is located on the surface of the display 20. The axis of rotation II-II is parallel to the side of the display screen 20 on which the side wall lies. In some embodiments, the functional component 60 may have multiple modes of operation. For example, the functional component 60 may have a display function and a camera function.
