Description

Converged communication method and device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to converged communication (RCS) technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for converged communication.
Background
Converged communication refers to a next generation basic communication service that allows a terminal to transmit and receive multimedia messages to be transmitted and received by a user using various communication protocols such as Internet Protocol (IP) instant messages, short messages, multimedia messages, and the like, according to network conditions. Converged communication follows the relevant communication protocols established by global mobile operator community interest and interest (GSMA) organizations.
The mobile terminal can support the technical scheme related to converged communication. According to the technical requirements of converged communication, when a terminal can receive and transmit multimedia messages through IP instant messages, the terminal preferentially receives and transmits the multimedia messages through the IP instant messages; and if the terminal cannot receive and transmit the multimedia message through the IP instant message, the message is received and transmitted through the traditional short multimedia message. In the prior art scheme, it is only required that the converged communication terminal must send multimedia messages through IP instant messages preferentially, but no specific judgment mechanism is provided to determine under what conditions the terminal can send IP instant messages and under what conditions traditional short multimedia messages are sent. The terminal determines whether the IP instant message can be sent, and needs to comprehensively determine whether the terminal successfully obtains the configuration file, whether an available network/IP connection exists, whether the terminal successfully registers to the application server, whether the terminal is in a successful state when the message is sent, and the like. None of these solutions is considered carefully.

the sending unit is used for sending the multimedia message by adopting an IP instant message when the judgment result shows that the terminal is in a converged communication online state; the converged communication online state is that the terminal is configured with an effective configuration file, the terminal has available data connection, and the terminal is successfully registered to an IMS network;
the terminal judges whether the multimedia message is successfully sent or not, extracts character information in the multimedia message when the multimedia message is not successfully sent, determines the word number of the character information, and sends the character information in the multimedia message through at least two short messages when the word number is larger than a preset threshold value.
8. The apparatus according to claim 7, wherein the sending unit is further configured to, when the determination result indicates that the terminal is not in the converged communication online state, fail to send the multimedia message, and the process ends; or, the multimedia message is sent by adopting a multimedia message; or, judging whether the multimedia message only comprises character information, if so, sending the multimedia message by adopting a short message; and if not, sending the multimedia message by adopting the multimedia message.
9. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the first determining unit comprises a first determining module, a second determining module, a third determining module, a fourth determining module, and a first determining module, wherein:
the first judging module is used for judging whether the terminal is configured with a configuration file to obtain a first judging result;
the second judging module is configured to, when the first judging result indicates that the terminal is configured with the configuration file, judge whether the configuration file is valid, and obtain a second judging result;
the third judging module is configured to, when the second judging result indicates that the configuration file is valid, judge whether the terminal itself has an available data connection, and obtain a third judging result;
the fourth judging module is configured to, when the third judging result indicates that the terminal has an available data connection, judge whether the terminal is successfully registered in the IMS network, and obtain a fourth judging result;
and the first determining module is used for determining that the terminal is in a converged communication online state when the fourth judgment result shows that the terminal is successfully registered in the IMS network.
10. The apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the determining unit further includes a second determining module, configured to determine that the terminal is not in the converged communication online state when the first determination result indicates that the terminal itself is not configured with the profile, or when the second determination result indicates that the profile is invalid, or when the third determination result indicates that the terminal does not have an available data connection, or when the fourth determination result indicates that the terminal is not successfully registered to the IMS network.
11. The apparatus according to any one of claims 7 to 10, further comprising a second determination unit, an extraction unit, and a third determination unit, wherein:
the second judging unit is configured to judge whether the multimedia message is successfully sent, so as to obtain a fifth judgment result;
the extracting unit is configured to extract text information in the multimedia message when the fifth determination result indicates that the multimedia message is not successfully sent;
the third judging unit is used for judging whether the word number of the character information is smaller than a preset threshold value or not to obtain a sixth judging result;
the sending unit is used for sending the character information by adopting a short message when the sixth judgment result shows that the word number of the character information is smaller than a preset threshold value; and when the sixth judgment result shows that the word number of the character information is larger than a preset threshold value, adopting two or more than two short messages to send the character information, or failing to send the multimedia message, and ending the process.
