Description

Multimedia book data organization system and method for fragment service
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of library science, in particular to a multimedia bibliography data organization system and method for fragment service.
Background
Recently, online reading enables reading popularization channels to be diversified, and WeChat, microblog and the like are very important reading popularization ways. The bibliographic data reveals the information content of the book, and has important influence on the reading selection of readers. And moreover, rich multimedia information can bring better reading experience for readers. Therefore, the bibliographic data should not be limited to only providing services for book management and retrieval, but also serve the reading of readers. Traditional bibliographic data often only contain metadata of books, so that the contents of the books cannot be deeply disclosed, and effective information provided by readers in the reading process is insufficient. Meanwhile, the existing book entries usually provide metadata information of the book entries, and information such as book covers and book catalogs is often lacked, so that readers have poor reading experience. The above situation is mainly because library bibliographic data is stored in data format such as MARC, which has the following problems:
the bibliographic data format, such as MARC, has a limit on the length of a single record, with a maximum length of 10000 characters. The storage of multimedia information is limited, so that the recording of multimedia information in MARC bibliography data is difficult.
MARC supports the extension and organization of multimedia data, but is difficult to maintain. The integration with multimedia resources usually uses 856 fields for remarking, and requires a special server to store multimedia information, and when the resource address slightly changes, metadata needs to be modified, which easily causes resource loss.
In addition, a conventional book center is uniformly maintained by the country, which stores only basic metadata, with each organization maintaining its own multimedia data. Multimedia data maintenance costs are high, and small-sized organizations have no ability to maintain a set of richer and more complete multimedia bibliographic data. In addition, the conventional organization book metadata service model adopts the Z39.50 protocol, which has the following problems:
the service mode of Z39.50 is to download the book data to the local, needs to edit or use by using a professional book editing tool, and is not convenient for co-building shared books among different organizations.
Z39.50 version management is difficult while data updates are slow and do not support real-time updates.
3. The MARC format is usually adopted, and the MARC data format is based on strict mark symbols, the mark is complex, the editing requires professional personnel and tools, and the conversion and the re-editing among systems are inconvenient.
4. The multimedia information is not supported to be recorded, and the metadata is monotonous. Visual editing of the multimedia book is not supported, and the presentation form is single.
Clearly, a new method for organizing multimedia bibliographic data is needed to break through the above-mentioned bottlenecks of the prior art.
