Description

Redirection method, device and system Technical Field
The present invention relates to communications technologies, and in particular, to a redirection method, device, and system.
Background
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a Long Term Evolution of Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) technology standard established by The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3 GPP) organization. As a new generation mobile communication technology, LTE can provide higher user rate, lower latency, and richer services, while greatly improving user experience. However, the construction of the LTE network is a long process, and in this process, there may be areas with poor LTE signal coverage. When the User Equipment is in an area with poor LTE coverage, a signal quality measurement report of the current access cell of the User Equipment is sent to a network side, the network improves the good service experience perception of a User in order to avoid the problem of service interruption, and a redirection command is sent to require the User Equipment (User Equipment, UE for short) to be redirected to a 3G network.
Due to design limitations of the user equipment, service conflicts and the like, when the user equipment is redirected, the situation that the user equipment cannot be connected with the 3G network occurs, so that the user equipment cannot be successfully redirected to the 3G network. For example, currently, most Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) terminals support concurrent Voice and LTE data (simultaneousness Voice and LTE, SVLTE for short) but DO not support concurrent Voice and EV-DO data (simultaneousness Voice and EV-DO, SVDO for short), so when a ue is in a call, a CDMA module of the ue occupies radio frequency resources, and a 3G module of the ue cannot obtain radio frequency resources, which results in that the ue cannot be connected to a 3G network. Therefore, in the prior art, when the user equipment receives a redirection command issued by the network side, the user equipment performs redirection operation according to the redirection command, and cannot be connected to the 3G network due to some reason, which will cause the user equipment to be in a state of unavailable 3G or LTE network for a long time, and seriously affects the normal service of the user.

Embodiments of the present invention may be applied to CDMA, UMTS, and LTE networks and later evolved network interoperation. Redirection means that the UE accesses to the network of another system after disconnecting from the current network. Two processes are typically involved: 1) when the UE leaves the current network, the UE is disconnected with the current network and enters an idle state, the network side indicates the UE to try to reside in a specified system/frequency point after leaving the connection state through a redirection command, and the redirection command carries the frequency point information of a target redirection network so as to help the UE to quickly access a new network; 2) and accessing a new network, and accessing and initiating a service by the UE according to the target redirection network frequency point information provided by the network side. In order to more clearly illustrate the embodiment of the present invention, the following description will take the case of redirecting the LTE network to the 3G network as an example.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a system for simulating redirection, and as shown in fig. 1, the system includes an evolved Node B (eNB) and a UE. When the UE detects, through the processor 12, that the signal strength of the current access cell is poor and is lower than the redirection threshold required to be reported by the eNB, the UE reports a measurement report event to the eNB through the transmitter 11. After the eNB receives a measurement report event sent by the UE through the receiver 23, the processor 22 of the eNB generates a redirection command carrying frequency point information of a target redirection network according to the measurement report, and sends the redirection command to the UE through the transmitter 21, so as to request the UE to redirect to a specified network. After the UE receives the redirection command through the receiver 13, the processor 12 starts a redirection timer, so that the UE initiates redirection to the designated network within the timing time.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of a redirection method according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 2, the redirection method according to the embodiment includes the following steps:
s21, the user equipment determines that the signal quality of the current access cell is lower than a set threshold;
s22, judging whether the user equipment meets the set conditions;
s23, if it is determined that the ue meets the setting condition, allowing the ue to send a measurement report to a network side, so that the network side sends a redirection command to the ue according to the measurement report;
s24, receiving the redirection command, wherein the redirection command carries the information of the cell to be redirected;
and S25, initiating redirection to the cell to be redirected within a timing time according to the redirection command.
Specifically, in this embodiment, the determination condition may be set according to the network type and the service state supported by the UE.
For example, if the UE is a CDMA terminal, since most CDMA terminals currently support the SVLTE mode but do not support the SVDO mode, when the UE is in a call, a CDMA module of the UE occupies radio frequency resources, and a 3G module of the UE cannot obtain the radio frequency resources, so that the UE cannot be connected to the 3G network. Therefore, whether the UE is in a call state or not is judged, if the UE is in a non-call state, the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection, and the UE can be judged to meet the set condition of reporting the measurement report. If the UE is in the call state, whether the UE supports the SVDO mode can be further judged, and if the UE supports the SVDO mode, the current state of the UE is still suitable for redirection; if the UE does not support the SVDO mode, the current state of the UE is not suitable for redirection, and the UE can be judged not to meet the set condition of reporting the measurement report. It should be noted that the above example is only used to illustrate the setting basis of the setting condition of the UE in the redirection procedure in this embodiment, and is not limiting. For the CDMA terminal, there may be other setting conditions, for example, the terminal does not support searching for EVDO or the EVDO frequency point is avoided due to access probe failure, and is not yet cleared.
It can be understood that if the UE is a terminal supporting other network systems, such as Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) or Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA), the current state of the UE can be determined to be suitable for redirection according to the design limitation and the service state of the UE. For example, if the UE in WCDMA system cannot connect to WCDMA due to the fact that the inserted card does not support WCDMA network or the authentication of WCDMA network fails, redirection to WCDMA should be avoided.
In this embodiment, after receiving the redirection command sent by the network side, the UE may start a timer to perform redirection, where the timer is used to set a time for performing redirection.
As an alternative embodiment, the timer may be set with a timing time according to a related art or a design characteristic of the UE. It can be understood that the timing time of the timer is fixed and constant for the same user equipment.
As another alternative, the UE may also be instructed to set the timing time of the timer by a redirection command issued by the network side. In other words, the redirection command may also carry a redirection time value, and after receiving the redirection command, the UE may directly set the timing time of the timer according to the indication of the redirection command, and initiate redirection to the cell to be redirected within the timing time.
In addition, in practical applications, the time interval Δ T for the UE to detect the signal quality of the accessed cell may be adaptively adjusted according to the coverage area of the accessed cell of the UE, the moving speed of the UE, and other factors. If the coverage of the accessed cell of the UE is larger or the moving speed of the UE is small, the delta T can be correspondingly adjusted to be longer; if the coverage of the accessed cell of the UE is small or the moving speed of the UE is high, the delta T can be adjusted to be shorter correspondingly.
Further, if the Δ T is large, if at time T, the UE detects that the signal quality of the accessed cell is lower than the set threshold, and determines that the UE does not satisfy the set condition, the UE does not send the measurement report to the network side. However at Δ T1(ΔT1<Δ T), the UE may determine T + Δ T as an optional implementation manner1The time interval Δ T between time and T + Δ T time (Δ T ═ Δ T- Δ T)1) If Δ t is greater than the predetermined time (e.g., Δ t)>Δ T/2), the UE may continue to send the measurement report at time T to the network side, so that the network side sends a redirection command to the UE according to the measurement report. As another optional implementation, the UE may also perform at T + Δ T1Detecting the signal quality of the accessed cell at any moment, if T + delta T1If the signal quality at the moment is lower than the set threshold, the T + delta T is added1And sending the measurement report of the moment to a network side so that the network side sends a redirection command to the user equipment according to the measurement report.
According to the basic process of redirection, the network side sends a redirection command to the UE, which is triggered by a measurement report that the signal strength of the current access cell reported by the UE is lower than the redirection threshold required to be reported by the eNB. In this embodiment, an event decider is used to decide whether to report a measurement report to the eNB. When the UE detects that the signal quality of the current access cell is lower than a set threshold, whether the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection is judged, namely whether the UE meets the set condition is judged. If the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection (meets the set conditions), a redirection request is sent to the network side, at the moment, redirection is carried out so that the success rate of redirection is high, and the UE can be quickly accessed to a cell which is required to be redirected by the network side. Compared with the method that the network side is directly triggered to send the redirection command to the UE so that the UE is connected to the appointed network, if the current state of the UE is not suitable for redirection, the probability of successful redirection is low, and if registration of the appointed network cannot be completed within the set time of the redirection timer, the UE may be in a state without the network for a long time.
As an optional implementation manner of this embodiment, if it is determined that the ue does not satisfy the setting condition, S26 may be executed to prohibit sending the measurement report to the network side.
It can be understood that if the current state of the UE is not suitable for redirection, that is, the set condition is not satisfied, the probability of successful redirection is small, and if the registration of the specified network cannot be completed within the set time of the redirection timer, the UE may be in a state without a network for a long time. If the current state of the UE is not suitable for redirection (does not meet the set conditions), the network side is not triggered to send a redirection request to the UE temporarily, and the network side is not triggered to send a redirection command to the UE, so that the UE can continuously reside in the current access cell, and normal service of the user is guaranteed.
In some cases, even if the UE does not send the measurement report of the signal quality of the current access cell to the network side, the network side may also learn that the UE needs to be redirected through other interaction information between the network side and the UE, and at this time, the network side may also send a redirection command to the UE. An embodiment of the present invention further provides a redirection method as shown in fig. 3, where fig. 3 is a flowchart of another redirection method provided in the embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 3, the redirection method includes the following steps:
s31, the user equipment receives a redirection command sent by the network side, wherein the redirection command carries the information of the cell to be redirected;
s32, judging whether the user equipment meets the set conditions;
and S33, if the user equipment is judged not to meet the set conditions, initiating redirection to the cell to be redirected according to the redirection command within an adjustable first timing time.
In this embodiment, after receiving the redirection command, the UE may detect whether the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection, and if the current state of the UE is not suitable for redirection, may start a dynamic timer to perform redirection, where the dynamic timer is used to set the adjustable first timing time. It can be understood that the state suitable for redirection is that the UE has a condition for searching a redirection target network, for example, the UE can acquire radio frequency resources for target network search, the target network is not prohibited, and the like, so that the UE can be successfully redirected to the 3G network, that is, the UE satisfies the set condition in the embodiment shown in fig. 2. Therefore, that the UE is currently in the state unsuitable for redirection means that the UE does not satisfy the setting conditions in the embodiment shown in fig. 2.
As a preferred embodiment, the timing time of the dynamic timer may be determined according to at least one of a coverage area of a current access cell of the UE and a moving speed of the user equipment.
In particular, a piecewise linear function may be used to determine the timing time of the dynamic timer. Wherein c represents the number of times of redirection request in the process that the UE does not satisfy the set condition, T1Indicating initialization of the dynamicTimer time, Δ1、Δ2、Δ3And the parameter A, B may specifically be determined according to the coverage area of the current access cell of the user equipment and the moving speed of the user equipment, obviously B>A. For example, if the coverage of the current access cell of the UE is large or the moving speed of the UE is small, the signal quality of the current access cell of the UE changes slowly, and the timing time of the corresponding dynamic timer is slightly longer; if the coverage of the current access cell of the UE is smaller or the moving speed of the UE is higher, the signal quality of the current access cell of the UE changes faster, and the timing time of the corresponding dynamic timer is shorter.
And after the UE receives the redirection command, detecting that the UE is in a state which is not suitable for executing redirection. If the static timer is started for redirection, it is likely that the registration of the network to be redirected cannot be completed within the set time of the timer, which may cause the user equipment to be in a state without the network for a long time. On the contrary, if a dynamic timer is adopted, the timer can expire quickly, a redirection failure link is entered, and then the UE initiates searching for the accessible cell to achieve the purpose of accessing the network quickly, so that the user is prevented from being in a state without the network for a long time.
It should be noted that, in this implementation, a static timer with a short time is not used, but a dynamic timer with dynamic accumulation is used to implement the fast expiration of the timer, because if the static timer with a short time is set to implement the fast expiration of the timer, the UE may perform the redirection, redirection failure, and network searching and registration procedures for the accessible cell in a short time and in a frequent cycle, and thus, the power consumption of the UE and the signaling load of the network may be increased.
Further, as a preferred implementation manner of this embodiment, in the process of starting the dynamic timer to perform redirection, if the UE is not suitable for the state release of redirection before the time of the dynamic timer reaches, that is, the UE meets the set condition, the dynamic timer may also be stopped immediately, the dynamic timer expires, and the UE directly enters a redirection failure link, and then initiates a search for an accessible cell to achieve the purpose of quickly accessing the network.
In addition, as an optional implementation manner, after receiving the redirection command, if it is detected that the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection (meets a set condition), at this time, S34 may be executed, and redirection is initiated to the cell to be redirected according to the redirection command within a fixed second timing time. Illustratively, a static timer may be started for performing the redirection, the static timer being used to set the fixed second timing time.
Further, as an alternative implementation manner, a fixed timing time may be set for the static timer according to the setting method of the timer provided in the embodiment shown in fig. 2.
In the redirection method provided in this embodiment, after the UE receives the redirection command, it may be determined whether the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection. If the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection, a static timer is started to execute redirection, and at the moment, redirection is executed, so that the success rate of redirection is high, and the UE can be quickly accessed into a cell to be redirected; if the current state of the UE is not suitable for redirection, a dynamic timer is started to execute redirection, the timer is rapidly expired, a redirection failure link is entered, then the UE initiates searching for an accessible cell to achieve the purpose of rapidly accessing a network, and meanwhile, the increase of the power consumption of the UE and the signaling load of the network can be avoided.
The present invention further provides a redirection method shown in fig. 4, where fig. 4 is a flowchart of another redirection method provided in the embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 4, the redirection method provided in this embodiment includes the following steps:
s41, the user equipment determines that the signal quality of the current access cell is lower than a set threshold;
s42, judging whether the user equipment meets the set conditions;
s43, based on the determination, if the ue meets the setting condition, allowing the ue to send a measurement report to a network side, so that the network side sends a redirection command to the ue according to the measurement report;
s44, receiving the redirection command, wherein the redirection command carries the information of the cell to be redirected;
s45, determining whether the user equipment satisfies the setting condition again;
and S46, based on the re-judgment, if the user equipment does not meet the set condition, initiating redirection to the cell to be redirected according to the redirection command within an adjustable first timing time.
It can be understood that after the UE sends the measurement report to the network side, the service state of the UE may change, and therefore, further, after receiving the redirection command, the UE may detect again whether the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection, that is, whether the UE satisfies the set condition. Obviously, the setting conditions in this embodiment are the same as those in the embodiments shown in fig. 2 and fig. 3, and may be set according to at least one of the network system and the service state supported by the user equipment.
As a preferred embodiment, after the UE determines that the signal quality of the current access cell is lower than the set threshold, if it is determined that the UE does not satisfy the set condition, S47 may be executed to prohibit sending the measurement report to the network side. And the network side is not triggered to send a redirection command to the UE temporarily, so that the UE can stay in the current access cell continuously, and normal service of the user is guaranteed.
In addition, after the UE receives the redirection command, it is detected again whether the current state of the UE is suitable for redirection, and if it is determined that the UE is suitable for redirection (meeting the set condition), S48 may be executed, and redirection is initiated to the cell to be redirected according to the redirection command within a fixed second timing time.
In the specific implementation process, the redirection may be performed by starting the dynamic timer and the static timer provided in the embodiment shown in fig. 3. Specifically, the setting of the timing duration of the dynamic timer and the static timer may also refer to the setting method provided in the embodiment shown in fig. 3.
It is worth mentioning that, in the process of starting the dynamic timer to redirect, if the state that the UE is not suitable for redirection is released before the timing time of the dynamic timer is reached, that is, the UE meets the setting condition, the dynamic timer can also be stopped immediately, so that the dynamic timer expires, the UE directly enters a redirection failure link, and then the UE initiates a search for an accessible cell to achieve the purpose of quickly accessing the network.
The redirection method provided by this embodiment combines the embodiments shown in fig. 2 and fig. 3, and executes two determination operations, thereby further ensuring the success rate of redirection, effectively avoiding that the user is in a state without a network for a long time, and ensuring the normal service of the user.
