Description

Electronic book navigation system and method
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of electronic book navigation, in particular to an electronic book navigation system and method.
Background
In recent years, with the overall popularization of network technology and digital storage and transmission technology, traditional paper books are gradually replaced by electronic books. Electronic books provide great convenience for people's life, work and entertainment, but there are new requirements on processing, storage, inquiry and utilization of electronic books.
Because the network is full of electronic books with various subjects, it is a problem for users to select which electronic book to read. Most people purchase electronic books via desktop or tablet computers, but the popularity of electronic book stores is essentially that of many popular books or that of a few books that are approved by consumers before they are brought into the electronic book store. Moreover, the book search and book recommendation functions on smart phones are still very weak. In the prior art, a book navigation service is generally used to help a user find a needed electronic book, and book navigation is realized by classifying the electronic book, assigning a keyword tag to the electronic book and matching based on a relational database. For example, the electronic books in the database are classified into science fiction class, speech class, long novel class, and prose class, and the user searches for the desired electronic book by keyword search under each category.
However, since the classification is too broad and the number of search keywords provided by the database is limited, for example, the keywords are only extracted for the book name, abstract and chapter name, which does not represent the detailed contents of the electronic book, such as the wonderful sentences in the book or the reading comprehension of the reader, and cannot be the object of search. The user often cannot easily navigate to the interested electronic book in the mass book data, or the user finds that the content of the book is far from the imagination after buying the book, so that the user experience is poor.
Accordingly, it is desirable to provide a system and method for navigating deep reading content of an electronic book.

In a preferred example, only the user who uploads, borrows, purchases or reads a certain electronic book has the right to call the user information display sub-module 49 to know the evaluation information of the book by other readers and communicate with other readers.
In addition, the book searching module 50 is connected to the relationship building module 20, and is configured to issue a book searching request by the second user, feed back the electronic book information matching the book searching request by the other users, and/or issue a book searching review by the other users. Where the second user represents a user looking for a certain e-book. When the second user cannot find the required electronic book, other users can feed back book information matched with the user requirements, specifically, the book information refers to metadata information of the electronic book. The user can also borrow the electronic book under the name of the user to the user who issues the book searching request.
Specifically, the user can directly authorize the borrowing right of the electronic book resource under the name of the user to the book seeking user. Or, the user may send a borrowing invitation for the electronic book resource under the name of the user to the user who issues the book searching request, and the book searching user obtains the borrowing right after issuing the borrowing request. Further, other users may also provide where to find the e-book that the user desires, and/or post book seeking comments on the e-book. For example, the book seeking user is reminded that the name of the book, translator or author provided by the book seeking user is wrong, and the correct name of the book, translator or author is provided.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating steps of a method for navigating an electronic book according to an embodiment of the present invention.
First, reading dynamic information input by a first user is extracted in real time (step S201), where the reading dynamic information includes at least one of operation behavior information of the first user on the electronic book and generation information of the first user on the electronic book. Subsequently, the association relationship between the dynamic reading information and the first user and the electronic book is constructed (step S202). When other users need to search for resources of the electronic book, according to browsing requests of other users, based on the association relationship between the dynamic reading information and the first user and the electronic book, providing the dynamic reading information of the first user and the metadata information of the electronic book to other users (step S203), wherein the metadata information at least comprises the title of the electronic book.
Preferably, the dynamic reading information may be classified and displayed based on the association relationship between the dynamic reading information and the first user and the electronic book according to one or more combinations of the type of the dynamic reading information, the unique identifier of the first user, and the name of the electronic book corresponding to the dynamic reading information (step S204).
Specifically, in step S204, the information may be classified according to the type of the reading dynamics information of the user. For example, the recommendation information of the electronic book inputted by the first user is presented according to the book name, wherein the recommendation information may include the recommendation reason of the first user. And/or displaying part of essence information in the generated information of the first user for the electronic book according to the unique identification of the first user.
In step S204, the reading dynamics information of the first user can be further classified according to the unique identifier of the first user. For example, according to a request for viewing the reading dynamic information of the first user submitted by other users, the reading dynamic information of the first user having an association relation with the requesting user is displayed according to the unique identifier of the first user; and/or displaying the reading dynamic information of the first user in a preset range around the geographical position of the other user according to the request submitted by the other user for checking the reading dynamic information of the first user around; randomly displaying the reading dynamic information of the first user according to the unique identifier of the first user; and sequencing and displaying the reading dynamic information of the first user according to the unique identifier of the first user. For example, the dynamic reading information of the user is sorted according to the sequence of the number of the electronic book generation information issued by the user from the top to the bottom, or according to the sequence of the number of the books borrowed by the user from the top to the bottom.
In step S204, the method further includes displaying the generated information of the first user for the electronic book according to the unique identifier of the first user, so that the generated information can be classified according to the unique identifier of the first user and the category of the dynamic reading information.
In addition, in step S204, the method further includes displaying the dynamic reading information of the first user according to the book name, and/or displaying the dynamic reading information of the first user reading the same electronic book according to the book name.
On the other hand, the electronic book navigation method provided in this embodiment further includes a book searching step (step S205), which receives and displays a book searching request issued by the second user, receives electronic book information matched with the book searching request and fed back by other users, and/or book searching comments issued by other users.
It should be noted that, in the information generated by the user for the book, the reading notes reflect understanding and published opinions of the book content by the reader, and the book abstract is an excerpt of the original text of the electronic book. On the other hand, the user who has finished reading can also communicate with other users to read the book by himself, so that the enthusiasm of user participation is mobilized, and the stickiness of the user is increased.
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the above description is only for the convenience of understanding the present invention, and is not intended to limit the present invention. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
