In the drawings, like reference numbers can indicate functionally identical or similar elements. While the various aspects of the embodiments are presented in drawings, the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale unless specifically indicated.
The word "exemplary" is used exclusively herein to mean "serving as an example, embodiment, or illustration. Any embodiment described herein as "exemplary" is not necessarily to be construed as preferred or advantageous over other embodiments.
Furthermore, in the following detailed description, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a better understanding of the present invention. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without some of these specific details. In some instances, methods, procedures, components, and circuits that are well known to those skilled in the art have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the present invention.
Example 1
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a location-based event reminder method according to an embodiment of the present invention, which can be used for location-based event reminder in video playback, and the method includes:
step 101, providing a first control for starting an event reminder in a video playing interface of a mobile terminal;
step 102, responding to the first control triggered by a user, and providing a second control for receiving the setting of the user on a destination in the video playing interface;
103, positioning the position of the mobile terminal;
and 104, providing an event prompt when the distance between the position and the set destination is less than or equal to a threshold value.
Aspects of the present invention prevent a user from missing a destination by focusing on watching a video in a location movement by receiving a user's setting of a destination in a video play interface, locating the location of a mobile terminal, and providing an event reminder to the user in case the location is close to and/or reaches the set destination.
Those skilled in the art will understand that the sequence relationship between step 103 and steps 101 and 102 in this embodiment can be arbitrarily arranged, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
The "video playing interface" in this document may be a video playing window in a web page, or a playing interface of video player application software, and any other interface that can be used for video playing.
Some specific implementation manners of the present embodiment are given below with reference to fig. 2 to fig. 6, and for convenience of description, an arrival reminder of a public transportation is used as an exemplary application scenario of the event reminder, and of course, the embodiment of the present invention may also be applied to the event reminder based on the location when the user performs location movement in other manners (for example, taking a private car or a taxi). Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the following detailed description is for purposes of illustration only and to facilitate an understanding of the invention, and is not intended to limit the invention in any way.
Setting destination
FIG. 2 illustrates a schematic diagram of providing a first control according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 2, a user may open the mobile terminal to view a video program (e.g., a tv show) while taking a subway. A first floating layer may be provided in the video playback interface (e.g., at the bottom of the video playback window), which may include a first control for initiating an event reminder (e.g., the first floating layer may include a "set arrival reminder" button, i.e., a first control). In one example, the first control may be in the same floating layer as a video bar of the video playing window, and the video bar may provide controls for functions such as drag and drop, start/pause, volume control, and the like for video. It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the above is merely one exemplary way to provide the first control, and the invention is not limited thereto. For example, the first control may also be provided directly at other locations of the video playback interface.
It should be noted that the "control" referred to herein may be any form of operable control, such as a button, a slider, a drag bar, etc., and the control is triggered or operated in a manner such as, but not limited to, clicking, staying a cursor for a long time, sliding, etc. For convenience of explanation, the following examples mostly use "button" and "click" as examples of the control and the manner of operation or triggering of the control, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
FIG. 3 illustrates a schematic diagram of providing a second control according to an embodiment of the present invention. In one example, when a user clicks a "set to station reminder" button (first control), a second floating layer may be provided in the video playback window, which may contain a second control for receiving a user's setting of a destination. For example, the client may write a hypertext markup language HTML floating layer (second floating layer) according to the design draft and hide the second floating layer by default. The JavaScript event can be bound to the first control, and the hidden second floating layer can be displayed after the user clicks and triggers the first control.
As a non-limiting example, as shown in fig. 3, the second floating layer may be located in the center of the video playing window, and the second floating layer may contain a second control, which may have any form capable of receiving user input for setting the destination. For example, a second control may include three columns of scrollable wheels to receive a user's setting of a destination (a destination stop in this exemplary application scenario), a first column may be an option for travel mode (e.g., subway, bus, etc.), a second column may be an option for line (e.g., subway number N line, XXX bus, etc.), and a third column may be an option for a stop (e.g., apple orchard station, customs station, etc.). As shown in fig. 3, the user may roll the wheel to adjust the route taken to the middle row (e.g., to the subway line 1 apple orchard), and the option adjusted to the middle row may be considered the received user setting for the destination. One possible implementation of this example of the second control is given below: the client can transmit the current city information to the back-end server through ajax data interaction so as to obtain a corresponding subway or bus line information table, and the client can process the information table by JavaScript and then display the information table into a written HTML floating layer (a second floating layer). Js may be introduced to implement the second control in roller form in the above example, specifically, the iscoll may be instantiated, and the scroll effect is implemented using the ondocontentloaded event.
Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the manner of receiving the user's setting of the destination site through the second control is not limited to this, but may be any appropriate manner as required, for example, the setting may also be performed through a pull-down menu or manual input.
In one example, when the user triggers the first control, the playing of the video program may be paused to avoid the user missing the program content being played while performing the operation of setting the destination. After the user finishes the operation of setting the destination, the video program can be continuously played.
In an example, a third control for completing the setting of the destination by the user can be further included in the first floating layer. For example, as shown in fig. 3, after it is detected that the user clicks the "set arrival reminder" button (the first control), a "complete" button (the third control) may be provided in the first floating layer, and the "complete" button may be located at the same position as the "set arrival reminder" button, that is, the "set arrival reminder" button may be hidden and the "complete" button may be displayed at the same position. After the user sets the destination site in the second floating floor, as shown in fig. 3, the set destination site contents and a "done" button may be displayed in the first floating floor. In response to the user clicking the "done" button, the second floating layer may be hidden, ending the step of destination setting.
FIG. 4 shows a schematic diagram of providing a fourth control according to an embodiment of the present invention. In one example, in response to a user triggering the third control, a fourth control for modifying the setting of the destination may be provided in the first floating layer, such as a "modify" button; in response to the user clicking the "modify" button, a second floating layer may again be provided in the video playback interface (e.g., in the center of the video playback window) for the user to modify the settings of the destination.
Fig. 5 shows a schematic diagram of switching to a full-screen play state according to an embodiment of the present invention. In an example, in a case where a predetermined operation from the user is not detected within a predetermined time (for example, 5s) from the reception of the start of the setting of the destination by the user, a video operation bar in the video playing interface may be hidden, so that the video playing interface is switched to a full-screen playing state for the user to view. The predetermined operation may be any operation that is preset, for example, all operations on the mobile terminal are included, or only a specific interface operation or a key operation is included. In one example, the user may click a "done" button (third control element) as the timing start point of the predetermined time. Under the condition that the video operation bar and the first control are both in the first floating layer, the full-screen playing state can be switched to by hiding the first floating layer. For example, the current dom node of the floating layer may be obtained by using a JavaScript script, and the display attribute of the cascading style sheet css of the floating layer may be set to be changed, that is, the display and the hiding of the floating layer may be controlled.
Position location
In one example, the location of the mobile terminal may be located. An exemplary specific implementation manner for acquiring the position of the mobile terminal is given as follows: the current geographic position of the mobile terminal can be obtained through a geolocation method of HTML5, specifically, the client can obtain geographic position information through an interface with a back-end server, a position object can be returned in an onsuscess method, and the object can contain information such as longitude and latitude, the advancing speed of equipment, and the time when the geographic position information is obtained.
However, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that the manner of implementing the positioning of the mobile terminal is not limited thereto, and may be selected as appropriate according to actual needs. For example, in view of compatibility, the location of the mobile terminal may be implemented by an APP client with location function, and the HTML5 is only responsible for invoking the APP.
Event reminders
In one example, an event alert (e.g., a stop alert) may be provided where the distance between the location and the set destination is less than or equal to a threshold value, or otherwise, where the location located to the mobile terminal is near and/or reaches the set destination. The predetermined threshold value may be set according to actual needs, for example, in the case of taking a subway, a larger threshold value may be set, for example, 200 meters, in consideration of the fact that the subway runs faster, and in the case of taking a bus, a smaller threshold value may be set, for example, 50 meters, in consideration of the fact that the bus runs slower.
For example, when the user takes a subway from the station "west-straight gate of subway line 4", and sets the station "guancun in subway line 4" as the destination of the user when watching the video program, the arrival reminding can be provided when the distance between the position of the mobile terminal and the position of the station "guancun in subway line 4" is less than or equal to 200 m.
In one example, providing the arrival alert may include providing an audible alert and/or a visual alert. For example, the audible alert may be a voice arrival message that is broadcast for the user, and the visual alert may be a text arrival message that is displayed in a video playback interface for the user.
FIG. 6 shows a schematic diagram of providing event reminders, according to an embodiment of the invention. In one example, providing the event reminder may include: and restoring the video operation bar in the video playing window, namely ending the full-screen playing mode, so that the user can perform operations such as playing pause and the like after confirming the station. Meanwhile, a third float may be provided in the video playback window in which event reminders are displayed (see fig. 6 bottom right corner "200 meters from the middle customs station"). The arrival reminding words can be generated according to the set destination station (the secondary guancun station) and the distance (50 meters) between the position of the located mobile terminal and the destination station. The reminder text may be updated at regular intervals (e.g., 5 seconds) or at regular intervals (e.g., 10 meters) from when the distance is less than the threshold (200 meters). For example, when setting a destination, the server may store the location information (e.g., latitude and longitude information) of the destination, and the server may send the current location information (or other information such as a positioning error range) of the mobile terminal and the location information of the destination back to the client in real time through the GPS function of the mobile terminal. The client can package a JavaScript function, calculate the distance between the current position of the mobile terminal and the position information (such as longitude and latitude) of the destination position of the mobile terminal, and prompt the arrival reminding containing the distance through the floating layer. It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the method of determining the distance between the location of the mobile terminal and the destination is not so limited, but may be selected in any suitable manner as desired.
