Description

Discontinuous reception method and device
The application is a divisional application, the original application has the application number of 201110031595.3, the application date of 2011 is 1 month and 28 days, and the invention name is 'a method and a device for discontinuous reception'
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for discontinuous reception.
Background
In order to save power consumption of a UE (User Equipment), a DRX (Discontinuous Reception) technique is introduced in an LTE (Long Term Evolution) system.
In the LTE DRX technique, at the beginning of each DRX cycle, the UE first starts an on Duration Timer (Duration Timer), and during the on Duration Timer, the UE needs to monitor a PDCCH (Physical downlink control Channel) Channel to acquire scheduling information. And if the UE does not receive any scheduling information within the on Duration Timer time, the UE enters a sleep state and stops monitoring the PDCCH. If the UE receives the scheduling information on the PDCCH within the onDuration Timer, when the base station schedules a new data packet for the UE, the UE needs to start or restart a DRX-Inactivity Timer, and the UE monitors the PDCCH to keep an active state within the DRX Inactivity Timer. Thereafter, if the DRX inactivity timer expires, the UE may enter a sleep state. However, since the UE may need to receive the Retransmission of the downlink packet, whether the UE may eventually enter the sleep state is also controlled by a DRX-Retransmission Timer. The DRX retransmission timer is a timer for each HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) process, that is, the UE maintains one DRX retransmission timer for each HARQ process. When the DRX inactivity timer of the UE is terminated, if the DRX retransmission timers of each HARQ process of the UE are already terminated, the UE may enter the sleep state, otherwise if the DRX retransmission timers are not terminated, the UE needs to wait for the termination of the DRX retransmission timers to enter the sleep state.
In the process of implementing the invention, the inventor finds that the prior art has at least the following problems:
the UE needs to enter the sleep state after the DRX-Inactivity Time and DRX-Retransmission Timer are timed to end, which causes the UE to enter the sleep state slowly and wastes much power.

s12: according to the first indication information, the DRX-Inactivity Timer is terminated or is not restarted any more from any time between the current subframe and a first preset value or from any time between the first subframe after the current subframe and the first preset value; and/or
And according to the second indication information, terminating or not restarting the DRX-Retransmission Timer at any time between the current subframe and the second preset value or at any time between the first subframe after the current subframe and the second preset value.
The any time is a certain time in the time period, and may be the current subframe, a first subframe after the current subframe, or the preset value itself.
The first preset value and the second preset value can be set according to actual requirements. If the PDCCH order is scheduled to be a downlink data packet or if the PDCCH order does not schedule the data packet, the maximum value of the first preset value is the difference value between the operation value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer in the current subframe and the maximum value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer, and if the PDCCH order is scheduled to be an uplink data packet, the maximum value of the first preset value is the difference value between the operation value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer in the current subframe and the maximum value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer or the difference value between the operation value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer in the current subframe and the uplink transmission subframe scheduled by the PDCCH order. The maximum value of the second preset value is a difference value between the operation value of the DRX-Retransmission Timer in the current subframe and the maximum value of the DRX-Retransmission Timer.
Referring to fig. 1-b, the method may be specifically performed by a base station, and includes:
s21: generating a PDCCH order or a MAC CE order, the PDCCH order comprising: the first indication information and/or the second indication information, the MAC CE command comprising: the method comprises the steps of first indication information and/or second indication information, wherein the first indication information is used for informing User Equipment (UE) that the base station does not schedule a new data packet for the UE any more in a current DRX period, and the second indication information is used for informing the UE that the base station does not schedule downlink HARQ retransmission for the UE any more in the current DRX period;

Example 2
Referring to fig. 2, the present embodiment provides a method for discontinuous reception, including:
101: the base station sends a PDCCH order or a MAC CE order to the UE, wherein the PDCCH order comprises: the first indication information, the MAC CE command, includes: and the first indication information is used for informing the UE that the base station does not schedule a new data packet for the UE in the current DRX period.
Specifically, the base station may send the PDCCH order to the UE when performing the last new packet scheduling in the current DRX cycle, that is, the PDCCH order is the PDCCH order for the base station to perform the last new packet scheduling in the current DRX cycle.
The first indication information may be indication information of "new packet scheduling last time in current DRX cycle", indication information of "terminate DRX-Inactivity Timer", or indication information of "no longer restart DRX-Inactivity Timer".
The new data packet may be a new uplink data packet or a new downlink data packet.
Specifically, in order not to increase the number of blind detections of the UE, the base station may indicate the first indication Information by using an idle Bit, an idle state, or an invalid value in a DCI (Downlink Control Information) format of the PDCCH order.
Taking an invalid value in a DCI format of a PDCCH order as an example, the number of PUSCH (Physical Uplink shared Channel) RBs (resource blocks) in the PDCCH order in the prior art must be a multiple of 2, 3, or 5, and when a UE detects a PDCCH, if a PUSCH RB allocation that is not a multiple of 2, 3, or 5 is detected, the UE considers the PDCCH as an invalid PDCCH. In this embodiment, the first indication information is carried by using information bits of the non-LTE PUSCH RB allocation number (i.e., PUSCH RB allocation number that is not a multiple of 2, 3, or 5) in the PDCCH order.
Taking the reserved state in the DCI format of the PDCCH order as an example, the base station may use an information bit of the reserved state of a PRACH (Physical Random Access Channel) Mask index (camouflage identifier) in the DCI format 1A of the PDCCH order to carry the first indication information.
102: the UE receives a PDCCH command or a MAC CE command sent by the base station, terminates or does not restart the DRX-Inactivity Timer from any time between a current subframe and a first preset value or from a first subframe after the current subframe to any time between the first preset value according to the first indication information so that the UE can enter a sleep state as soon as possible,
if the PDCCH command is scheduled to be a downlink data packet or if the PDCCH command is not scheduled to be a data packet, the maximum value of the first preset value is the difference value between the operation value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer in the current subframe and the maximum value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer, and if the PDCCH command is scheduled to be an uplink data packet, the maximum value of the first preset value is the difference value between the operation value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer in the current subframe and the maximum value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer or the difference value between the operation value of the DRX-Inactivity Timer in the current subframe or an uplink transmission subframe scheduled by the PDCCH command.
Specifically, if the UE receives the scheduling information of data transmission (including new data packet transmission and retransmission) included in the PDCCH order sent by the base station, the UE terminates or does not restart the DRX-Inactivity Timer at any time from the first subframe after the current subframe to the first preset value, so that the UE can enter the sleep state as soon as possible, which is to enable the UE to continuously receive the data scheduled by the PDCCH order on the current subframe. It can be understood that, if the PDCCH order sent by the base station is received by the UE and does not contain scheduling information for data transmission, the UE may terminate or no longer restart the DRX-Inactivity Timer at any time between the current subframe and the first preset value, so that the UE can enter the sleep state as soon as possible. The UE may sleep directly from the current subframe if no data is scheduled in the current subframe.
Further, if the PDCCH order is a PDCCH order for the base station to perform the last new packet scheduling in the current DRX cycle, after the UE receives the PDCCH order sent by the base station, the method further includes:
a) and if the last new data packet is a new downlink data packet, feeding back the HARQ feedback information corresponding to the last new data packet to the base station in the first subframe or a preset subframe within the Duration of the next DRX period on Duration Timer.
b) And if the last new data packet is a new uplink data packet, the UE executes uplink transmission on the subframe of the uplink transmission scheduled by the PDCCH command, or the UE ignores the last uplink transmission, namely the UE does not execute the uplink transmission on the subframe of the uplink transmission scheduled by the PDCCH command.
Further, after the UE receives the PDCCH order sent by the base station, the method further includes:
if the UE does not correctly decode the new downlink data packet scheduled by the PDCCH within the timing Time of the HARQ RTT (Round Trip Time) Timer, the UE does not start the DRX-Retransmission Timer of the HARQ process corresponding to the new downlink data any more, so that the UE can enter the sleep state as soon as possible.
In this embodiment, the UE terminates or does not restart the DRX-Inactivity Timer at any time between the current subframe and the first preset value or at any time between the first subframe after the current subframe and the first preset value according to the first indication information sent by the base station, so that the UE can enter the sleep state as soon as possible, thereby saving power consumption.
Example 3
Referring to fig. 3, the present embodiment provides a method for discontinuous reception, including:
201: the base station sends a PDCCH order or a MAC CE order to the UE, wherein the PDCCH order comprises: the second indication information, the MAC CE command, includes: and second indication information, wherein the second indication information is used for informing the UE base station that the downlink HARQ retransmission is no longer scheduled for the UE in the current DRX period.
Specifically, the base station may send the PDCCH order when performing last retransmission packet scheduling in the current DRX cycle, that is, the PDCCH order is the PDCCH order for the base station to perform last retransmission packet scheduling in the current DRX cycle.
The second indication information may be indication information of "last Retransmission packet scheduling in current DRX cycle", indication information of "terminate DRX-Retransmission Timer", or indication information of "no longer performing downlink HARQ Retransmission".
Further, the second indication information is further used to indicate the HARQ process to which the second indication information is directed, indicate that the UE terminates the DRX-Retransmission Timer for the HARQ process, or indicate that the base station does not perform downlink HARQ Retransmission for the HARQ process any more.
Further, the second indication information is also used for indicating the UE to receive a specified subframe of the next DRX cycle of the downlink HARQ retransmission.
Specifically, in order not to increase the number of blind detections of the UE, the base station may transmit the second indication information using an idle Bit, an idle state, or an invalid value in a DCI format of the PDCCH order.
Taking an invalid value in a DCI format of a PDCCH order as an example, the number of PUSCH RBs in the PDCCH order in the prior art must be a multiple of 2, 3, or 5, and when a UE detects a PDCCH, if a PUSCH RB allocation that is not a multiple of 2, 3, or 5 is detected, the UE considers the PDCCH as an invalid PDCCH. In this embodiment, the second indication information is carried by using information bits of the non-LTE PUSCH RB allocation number (i.e., PUSCH RB allocation number that is not a multiple of 2, 3, or 5) in the PDCCH order.
Taking the reservation status in the DCI format of the PDCCH order as an example, the base station may use the information bits of the reservation status of the PRACH Mask index in the DCI format 1A of the PDCCH order to carry the second indication information.
202: and the UE receives a PDCCH command or a MAC CE command sent by the base station, and terminates or does not restart the DRX-Retransmission Timer at any time between a current subframe and a second preset value or at any time between a first subframe after the current subframe and the second preset value according to second indication information so as to enable the UE to enter a sleep state as soon as possible, wherein the maximum value of the second preset value is the difference value between the operation value of the DRX-Retransmission Timer at the current subframe and the maximum value of the DRX-Retransmission Timer.
Specifically, if the UE receives scheduling information of data transmission (including new data packet transmission and Retransmission) included in a PDCCH order sent by the base station, the UE terminates or does not restart the DRX-Retransmission Timer at any time from a first subframe after a current subframe to a second preset value, so that the UE can enter a sleep state as soon as possible, which is to enable the UE to continuously receive data scheduled by the PDCCH order on the current subframe. It can be understood that, if the PDCCH order sent by the base station is received by the UE and does not contain scheduling information for data transmission, the UE terminates or does not restart the DRX-Retransmission Timer at any time between the current subframe and the second preset value, so that the UE can enter the sleep state as soon as possible. The UE may sleep directly from the current subframe if no data is scheduled in the current subframe.
Further, after the UE receives a PDCCH order or a MAC CE order sent by the base station, the method further includes:
and the UE receives the specified subframe of the next DRX period of the downlink HARQ retransmission according to the UE indicated by the second indication information, and receives the downlink HARQ retransmission at the specified subframe of the next DRX period. Or, according to a preset subframe preset by the UE and the base station, the UE receives downlink HARQ retransmission in a preset subframe of the next DRX period.
In this embodiment, the UE terminates or does not restart the DRX-Retransmission Timer at any time between the current subframe and the second preset value or at any time between the first subframe after the current subframe and the second preset value according to the second indication information sent by the base station, so that the UE can enter the sleep state as soon as possible, thereby saving power consumption.
