背景技术
本发明一般地涉及光纤传感系统,并且更具体地涉及使用光纤传感元件进行的区域性火灾和过热检测系统。
光纤传感器当前在从施工现场至飞机机翼范围的分布式系统中被用来测量大范围的参数。一些此类传感器包括压力、应变以及温度传感器,但是光纤一般可以用来测量可能与光纤传感元件的物理状态有关系的许多量。一些光纤温度传感器例如通过用干涉仪检测光纤线股(strand)或线股段附近的周围护套或之间的间隙的热膨胀来进行操作。其他传感器检测参数的变化,诸如来自Raman反向散射的温度和压力。数据处理器使干涉仪读数与光纤传感元件的物理状态的变化相关。

现代温度传感器利用大范围的光谱学和干涉测量学技术。这些技术大体上分成两类:基于光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)的点或准分布式传感,以及基于Raman、Brillouin或Rayleigh散射的全分布式传感器。光纤传感元件的特定构造根据传感器系统所使用的光谱学的类型而变,但是所有光纤传感器通过感测光纤传感元件的物理状态变化进行操作。例如,FBG传感器通过感测布拉格波长的相对移位来确定温度变化(ΔT)(ΔλB/λB):

光纤传感元件相对于常规电温度传感器而言是廉价、耐用且容易安装的。大多数光纤温度传感器的最昂贵元件因此是询问器。为了降低成本,一些传感器系统经由开关将多个传感元件附接于每个询问器,开关周期性地循环通过每个传感元件,允许单个询问器服务于许多单独的传感元件,其可以位于许多不同的检测区域中。
开关光纤传感器系统不是没有缺点。快速开关迫使需要高询问器扫描速率,其限制可由系统实现的空间和/或温度分辨率。相反,仅在传感元件之间缓慢地切换的系统很少访问每个传感元件,并且可以允许危险的热量条件未被注意到达数十秒,这对于火灾和热量控制而言可能是关键的。
发明内容

图1是光纤传感系统10的示意性方框图,包括询问器12、光学开关14以及传感元件16a、16b和16N。询问器12还包括宽带光源18、高速光谱仪20以及数据处理器22。光纤传感系统10可以用来在大范围的应用中感测火灾或过热条件,包括在飞机或其他运输工具上。虽然光纤传感系统10在本文中被描述为温度传感系统,但在本发明的其他实施例中,光纤传感系统10可以用来监视诸如应变或压力的其他参数。

阈值值Tmax和ΔTmax被选择成基于在步骤S2的快速扫描期间进行的有限准确度测量而每当可能已发生过热条件时触发慢速扫描。并不是超过对应阈值值的T或ΔT/Δt的每次发生都将指示过热或火灾事件。如果且当所感测温度T和/或所感测温度变化ΔT/Δt的比较超过用于任何传感元件16a、16b、…、16N的对应阈值值(参见步骤S3和S4),数据处理器22中断传感元件16a、16b、…、16N的扫描以命令高速光谱仪20开始对应传感元件16a、16b、…、16N的慢速扫描(步骤S8)。此慢速扫描可能花费几秒,并且可能涉及比步骤S2的快速扫描更高的脉冲频率(例如1000Hz),消耗更多的时间和更多的能量。步骤S8的慢速扫描允许数据处理器22以比步骤S2的快速扫描高得多的准确度来确定温度T(和/或温度变化ΔT/Δt)。另外,步骤S8的慢速扫描允许沿着特定传感元件16a、16b、…、16N的过热或火灾位置的更大渡越时间分辨率。数据处理器22可以评估多个参数,包括与预期值相比较的温度T和温度变化ΔT/Δt,以确定过热或火灾条件是否已发生(步骤S9),并且因此根据需要向适当的火灾抑制或警报系统报告过热或火灾警报(步骤S10)。
