Die Vorrichtung arbeitet also sehr wirtschaftlich.

The invention relates to a method for obtaining industrial or drinking water from a body of water, with water vapor condensing in a condenser and the condensate being collected.
It is known to obtain service or drinking water by distilling seawater. Sea water is brought into the evaporator of a distillation device.
In this water vapor is generated by heating and this is then liquefied again in a condenser and collected
In known methods, the water for evaporating is heated by means of electrical heating systems or oil burners.
However, these methods have the disadvantage that their implementation is high because of the large heating energy required
Causes costs
In another known method, the evaporation takes place using solar heat. Although this method results in only low operating costs, it has the disadvantage that the ratio between the useful power of a device used to carry out the method and the size of the device is relatively small and therefore unfavorable. In other words, that means that a device for achieving a given production output must be relatively large and accordingly expensive.
The invention has now set itself the goal of creating a procedural Ren that enables a large amount of service or drinking water to be obtained from a body of water, in particular the sea, with a relatively small device and with low operating costs.
This goal is achieved by a method of the type described at the outset, which is characterized according to the invention in that the condenser is immersed in the body of water, air containing water vapor is supplied to it through a supply line from the environment and the air is then returned through a discharge line can flow out into the environment.
The air flow is preferably generated at least in part by the fact that an upward section of the discharge line and the air located therein are heated by the solar radiation.
The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method, with a condenser to condense water vapor by cooling, a supply line serving for supplying air containing water vapor to the condenser and a discharge line serving for discharging the air from the condenser.
According to the invention, the device is characterized in that the feed line has an inlet opening leading into the outside space above the condenser and the discharge line has an outlet opening opening above the condenser into the surroundings
The invention thus differs from the previously known; This method includes the fact that the water vapor is not produced by evaporation in the device, but that the water vapor already present in the air is used. This enables the evaporation energy to be saved during the process.
In the method according to the invention, energy only has to be supplied in order to allow the moist air to flow through the condenser and to pump up the water condensed in this for use. This remaining energy can at least partly be provided by the sun and wind. The operating costs for carrying out the process can therefore be kept very low.
The invention will now be explained with reference to embodiments illustrated in the drawing Darge. In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a schematic side view of a device for the production of industrial or drinking water with a round exhaust air line, and FIG. 2 shows a section of a device with an exhaust air line having a rectangular cross section 3, a section along the line III-III of FIG. 2 and FIG.
4 shows a section of a device having a reflector.
In Fig. 1 of the drawing, 1 denotes a standing body of water, in particular a sea, and 2 denotes the ground under the body of water. Furthermore, a device designated as a whole with 3 can be seen, which is used to obtain service or drinking water from the ambient air present on the body of water.
The device 3 has a platform 4 which is located above the water level and which is fastened to the floor 2 by means of feet 5. If the water is deep, a floating platform can also be provided.
The device has a condenser 7, which is formed by a U-shaped pipe protruding into the body of water 1 and fastened to the platform 4 by means of flanges 6. The lower, arched part 7a of the condenser is inside with ribs 7b running in the longitudinal direction of the arch . At the lower end of the condenser 7 there is a collecting container 8, the inlet connector 8a of which is connected to the condenser 7. A line 9 leads from the bottom of the collecting container 8 to a pump 10 which is fastened to the platform 4 and has an outlet 10a.
The end of the condenser 7 on the left in FIG. 1 is connected to an air supply line 11. This has a short, vertical section 11a, an arc 11b extending over an angle of 900 and a short, at least approximately horizontal entry section 11c.
The latter is provided at its free end with a funnel-shaped enlargement which forms the inlet opening 11d for the air. The vertical feed line section 11a is connected to the condenser 7 by means of a tight rotary coupling 12 so as to be pivotable about an at least approximately vertical axis. The bearing 12 is connected to a flange 13 on the
Platform 4 attached. At the air supply line 11 there is also at least one rod 14 on the inlet opening
1 ld side facing away from the pivot axis, a vertical plate 15 is attached.
The lead 11 has a surface that reflects the light radiation as well as possible, i.e.
a surface that has a low absorption in the range of visible light.
At the end of the capacitor 7 located on the right in FIG. 1, this is connected to an air discharge line 16. The air discharge line 16 has an at least approximately vertical, lim cross-section circular, metallic section 17, which serves as a collector for the solar heat and is coated all around with an absorber layer 17a
The latter are designed in such a way that they have a large absorption in the range of visible light and a large reflection in the range of thermal radiation, i.e. has a small absorption.
The top of the vertical section
17 is connected via a tight rotary coupling 18 to a 900 pipe bend 19, the free end of which is the outlet opening
19a forms for the air. On both sides of the outlet opening 19a, a plate 21 is attached by means of a rod 20, which plate runs vertically and parallel to the axis of the outlet opening 19a
In the following, the operation of the Fig. 1 illustrated device are explained.
It is assumed here that the sun is shining and that the solar radiation is in the direction indicated by the arrows 31
Direction occurs. The air discharge line 16 and in particular its vertical section 17 is now through the incident
Strongly heated by solar radiation. As a result, the air in the discharge line 16 is also heated and therefore rises upwards. Since the Luft¯Zuleitung 11 with a reflective
Surface is provided, the supply line 11 and the air located therein heat up relatively little.
The heating of the air discharge line 16 therefore causes a convection flow so that ambient air is sucked in from the vicinity of the inlet opening lid into the supply line 11, flows through the condenser 7 and then flows upwards through the discharge line 16 into the environment
If there is also a wind, it can blow from the left in the direction indicated by the arrows 32, for example. The air supply line 11 is then rotated by the force exerted by the wind on the plate 15 so that the inlet opening 11d faces the wind.
Accordingly, the affected plates 21 rotate the pipe bend 19 of the air discharge in such a way that the outlet opening 19a faces away from the wind. If there is a wind, it supports the convection flow created by the heat of the sun.
Since the device is by the sea or some other large body of water, the surrounding air will generally contain a considerable amount of water vapor. The condenser 7 now extends to a depth of the body of water 1 in which the temperature is at least 10, and preferably at least 15, lower than the air temperature.
Part of the water vapor is then condensed in the condenser 7. This condensate now flows into the collecting container 8 and is pumped upwards continuously or at certain time intervals by the pump 10. The output 10a of the pump 10 can be connected to a reservoir, for example which the water obtained in this way is stored until it is used as service or drinking water. If necessary, depending on the use, dissolved minerals or other substances can be added to the water.
Figures 2 and 3 show a variant of a discharge line 116 with a vertical, metallic section 117. The latter has a rectangular cross-section and is provided on the outside on a broad side with an absorber layer 117a, which has a large distance in the visible light range. having sorption. The broad side carrying the absorber layer 117a is provided with vertical longitudinal ribs 117b on the inside. The vertical discharge section 117 is provided with a hollow, circular-cylindrical pin 118 at the lower end.
This is tightly connected to the end of the capacitor 107 via a rotary coupling 120 fastened to the platform 104 by means of a flange 119. There is also a Schavenk device 121 which has a motor 122 with a gear 123. This meshes with a gear 124 which is seated in a rotationally fixed manner on the pin 118.
The pivoting device 121 also has a sensor, not shown, as well as control or regulating means in order to control or regulate the motor 122 in such a way that the absorber layer 117 faces the sun. The solar radiation indicated by the arrows 131 then always falls on the absorber layer.
The outer surface of the other broad side of the vertical discharge section 117, which is always facing away from the sun, can be reflective both in the area of visible light and heat radiation, so that it emits as little energy as possible.
The variant of the air discharge shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 enables better utilization of the sun's heat and greater heating of the air in it than the variant shown in FIG. The longitudinal ribs 117b improve the heat transfer from the dissipation to the air.
In Fig. 4, a further variant of an air discharge marked 216 be is shown. This has a metallic, vertical section with a circular cross section
217, which is covered with an absorber layer 217a and with the capacitor arranged under the platform 204
207 is connected. A reflector 218 is also provided in order to reflect the solar radiation onto the dissipation section 217. The reflector 218 is approximately parabolic in the horizontal section and is arranged and designed such that its focal line coincides with the geometric axis of the vertical discharge section 217.
The reflector 218 is fastened at its lower end to a turntable 219 which is coaxial with the A-directional section 217
This is pivotably mounted in a bearing 220 which is fastened to the platform 204 by means of a flange 221. Furthermore, a pivoting device 222 is present. This has a motor 223 with a gear 224. The latter meshes with a gear 225 in a rotationally fixed manner with the
Turntable 219 is connected.
The pivot device 222 has control or regulating means, not shown, to the
To control or regulate the motor 223 in such a way that the reflecting inner surface of the reflector 218 is always facing the sun.
Of course, the device can also be designed in other ways. For example, the derivation
216 of the device shown in FIG. 4 can be replaced by the discharge line 116 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
The lead is then to be rotated at the same time as the reflector. Furthermore, in order to reduce the heat losses, the discharge line can be provided with a light-permeable glass jacket which, together with the metallic inner pipe of the discharge line, delimits a cavity that is tightly sealed on all sides.
Of course, the nature of the surface of the supply line and the absorber layers of the discharge line can also be modified and adapted to the local radiation conditions. If, for example, there is also strong heat radiation in addition to sunlight radiation, the surface of the supply line is expediently designed in such a way that it reflects not only the light probes but also the heat radiation. Accordingly, the discharge, or more precisely, its absorber layer, can then be designed in such a way that it strongly absorbs both light and thermal radiation.
Furthermore, the discharge line can be provided at its lower end with an insulating piece made of plastic. In this way, the heat conduction between the discharge line and the condenser as well as the platform and thereby the cooling of the discharge line can be reduced.
Furthermore, the supply line can be provided with thermal insulation so that the air flowing through is heated as little as possible. Furthermore, a roof could also be provided to keep solar radiation from the supply line.
The devices described enable domestic or drinking water to be obtained using the heat of the sun. Since the wind is also used to generate the air flow, the device can also be operated at night when wind is present. Aside from the solar energy, only the energy for pumping up the water formed by condensation and possibly the energy for operating the pivoting devices must be applied. The device works very economically.
In windy areas it is also possible to drive the pump for pumping up the water by the wind. It should also be noted that the pump for pumping out the water can of course also be arranged at the collecting tank. This is particularly necessary if the water has to be pumped up more than about 10 m.
There is also the option of installing a small pump in the inlet or outlet line to support the air flow through the condenser. This can be coupled with a wind turbine so that it can be driven by the wind in windy areas. The pump would then have to be arranged and designed in such a way that even in the absence of wind, i.e. when the pump is at a standstill, a convection current can occur.
Of course, there is also the possibility of driving the pump continuously or in the absence of wind by means of an electric or other motor. Furthermore, a bypass can also be provided in order to bypass the pump when it is out of operation.
