The invention relates to a form-fitting joint connection of plate-shaped components without separate connecting elements.
The simplest way of assigning components to one another is the butt joint. In a joint formed by a butt joint, at most compressive forces, but no tensile forces and no transverse forces, can be transmitted.
With a so-called step rebate with a single or multiple structure, compressive forces and transverse forces acting in certain directions, but not tensile forces, can be transmitted.
Pressure forces and transverse forces in any direction can be absorbed, for example, with a tongue and groove connection, which, however, cannot transfer any tensile forces either.
In connection with insulation boards made of rigid plastic foam, a so-called hook-fold connection has also become known, in which rabbet strips are arranged on the board edges to be connected, which, since they are open on different sides of the board, interlock and are both pressure-resistant and tension-resistant Establish connection. However, in this hook-and-fold connection, too, only transverse forces can be transmitted to a limited extent, namely only in one direction.
The object of the invention is to create a form-fitting joint connection that is suitable for preferably plate-shaped components of any type and that is effective without additional connecting means and that can absorb compressive and tensile forces as well as transverse forces in any direction in the same way.
The invention solves this problem in that on an edge of the one component there is arranged a rounded channel which is open to an outer surface of the same and followed by an edge strip, which on the side opposite the edge strip runs flush with said outer surface and in the has a stop bar protruding through the space formed by the channel, while the corresponding edge of the adjacent component has a shape corresponding to this design and intended for positive engagement with the channel.
The channel is expediently designed in the form of a circular arc in cross section, its radius corresponds to approximately half the thickness of the component. The stop bar is also expediently designed in the form of a circular arc in cross section on the outer circumference. It can be designed as a quarter circle in cross section, the radius of which corresponds approximately to the fourth part of the thickness of the component.
The central axis of the channel and the line of intersection of the channel with the stop bar are expediently in a plane parallel to the plane of the component.
The stop bar expediently has an outwardly curved profile, the axis of curvature of which coincides with the line of intersection between the outer surface of the component and the tangential plane on the channel at right angles thereto.
The height of the edge strip is advantageously approximately between 1 and 1/3 of the thickness of the component.
The task set is achieved by the invention
Edge formation of the components completely solved. The channel arranged on an edge of the component with a
Edge strip, in conjunction with the correspondingly designed edge of the adjacent component, creates the tension and pressure-resistant connection, while the stop strip in
Connection with a recess on the corresponding ausgebil Deten edge of the adjacent component creates the locking of the joint connection in the direction that was not present in the known hook fold connection.
The circular arc-shaped rounding of the channel creates the prerequisite for the fact that the second component to be connected with the first component can be inserted with its corresponding edge obliquely from above into the channel of the first component and is in alignment with the one that has already been installed Component practically automatically locked.
With the form-fitting joint connection according to the invention, coherent surfaces of any size can be produced without the need for aids such as screws, nails, clips, glue or the like to connect the individual components to one another. The joint connection according to the invention also ensures that the installed components lie exactly in one plane and that reworking to level the surfaces is not necessary.
The use of the joint connection according to the invention is not tied to a specific material. The production of the undercut parts of the connection also presents no difficulties. In the case of wood or wooden materials, the folded parts can be milled. In the case of rigid plastic foam, from which the insulation panels predominantly consist, it is possible to use the manufacturing facilities, e.g. B. to provide foaming machines with swiveling tool parts, which are first unfolded before the two-part mold opens and releases the foamed sheet.
Accordingly, the preferred main field of application of the joint connection according to the invention is in the field of insulating panels made of rigid plastic foam, in which it is arranged on two opposing panel edges, while the remaining panel edges preferably with interlocking folds directed towards opposite panel sides from across The entire length of the side of continuous grooves are provided with edge strips.
In this case, the edge strips on the end faces can also be provided with bead-like thickenings which are arranged at a distance from one another and run perpendicular to the plane of the plate.
Preferred areas of application for components that are equipped with the joint connection according to the invention include ceiling cladding, floor coverings, wall cladding, insulating layers for walls and roofs, etc., i.e. all areas in which it is important to have coherent flat coverings or coverings.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the accompanying drawing. Show it:

Fig.
9 shows a cross section through a concrete wall with core insulation made of such insulation boards and
10 shows a cross section and a longitudinal section through a flat roof with external insulation made of insulation panels with edges designed according to the invention.
In the cross section through a joint connection, FIG. 2 shows two adjacent structural elements 1 and 2 which are provided with mutually corresponding edge configurations. The edge formation of the plate 1 on the left in the illustration has an edge strip 3; which closes off a circular arc-shaped channel 4 on one side. On the side of the channel 4 opposite the edge strip 3, a stop strip 5 protrudes into the cavity formed by the channel, which is flush with the surface 6 of the plate 1 and extends with an arcuate curvature 7 from the surface 6 of the plate to the channel 4 extends towards.
The plate 2 on the right in the illustration of FIG. 2 has an edge formation corresponding to the edge formation of the plate 1 such as the male and female molds. This consists of a bead-like thickening 8 which fits into the channel 4 and has a recess 9 corresponding to the stop bar 5 on the outermost edge. This edge formation fits positively into that of the plate 1, the outer surface of the bead-like thickening 8 slides along the corresponding arcuate curvature of the channel 4 until the likewise arcuate recess 9 rests against the corresponding curvature of the stop bar 5 and the edge channel 10 extends over the Edge 3 sets. This automatically locks the joint connection.
For the design of the joint connection according to the invention, very specific size relationships have proven to be particularly expedient. These proportions are shown in FIG. 1.
If the plate thickness is assumed to be D, then the central longitudinal axis El for the circular arc-shaped channel is at a distance D / 4 below the upper edge of the plate.
The radius of the circular arc delimiting the channel is D / 2. The center point E2 for the circular arc delimiting the stop bar lies on a tangent perpendicular to the plane of the plate at point A on the circle forming the channel, namely at the point of intersection of the tangent with the plate top. The radius of the circular arc is D / 4.
The triangle with the corners A, B and C inscribed in the circle forming the channel with the radius D / 2 over the diameter forms in the extension of the line B-C the first geometric location for the outer corner point H for the edge strip delimiting the channel. The second geometric location for the corner point H can be found by extending a straight line from the center E1 of the circle through a point G beyond this with the extension of the line B-C. The point G results from the intersection of a line parallel to the line A-C at a distance of D / 8 with the circle around El. Depending on the area of application and the stress on the panels equipped with the joint connection according to the invention, the panel thickness D can be increased both upwards and downwards.
This is shown in Fig. 1 by dashed lines. In the case of less stable materials, such as B. plastic hard foam, a thickening of the plate is advantageous at the top, while plates that are primarily subject to tensile stress are expediently thickened downwards.
3-5 show some sections through insulating panels made of rigid plastic foam, which are butted with the joint connection according to the invention. FIG. 3 corresponds approximately to FIG. 1; this joint connection is arranged here on the two long sides of the mostly 100 x 50 cm large insulation board 1, 2.
When laying, the lower folded part 4 always points in the laying direction. The following plate 2 can then be pushed in with the upper folded part 8 in a slightly inclined position, displacement being possible along the circular arc surfaces. As soon as the newly attached plate is flush, a locking mechanism occurs automatically, in which the adjacent plate is locked in the prescribed position both in the plane of the plate and perpendicular to it.
A hook fold connection 11 is located on the two narrow sides. It consists of the lower fold strip 12, the lower fold groove 13 and the upper fold strip 14 with the upper fold groove 15. Small bead-like thickenings 17 are advantageously formed on their edges 16. This ensures that the folded parts are not in continuous contact, which z. B. for the passage of water in the inverted flat roof shown in Fig. 10 can be advantageous. The thickenings 17 also ensure that the nested folded parts exert a slight clamping effect and the laid panels 1 are held in their position at least until the next row of panels is placed over them with its folded joint 2 that stabilizes the vertical joint.
The lower rebate bar 12 and the upper rebate bar 14 only touch the adjacent rebate edges with the beads 17 formed on the edges 16. The interlocking of the folded parts can therefore take place without any particular effort; there is also no longer any risk of the lower insulation panels laid in the fresh mortar bed being changed in their position when the rebate strip 14 of the new panel is pushed in (FIG. 5).
The insulation panels made of rigid plastic foam, e.g. B. polystyrene, are produced in individual molds and receive the fold formation or design of the two plate surfaces molded. Such automatic insulation panels are dimensionally accurate and exactly at right angles; an advantage that fundamentally distinguishes them from so-called cut panels. The lower folded part 4 is located at the upper longitudinal edge of the illustration in FIG. 6, and the upper folded part 8 is a counterpart to this at the lower longitudinal edge. The folded parts 4 and 8 are continuously open so that they can be used at any point above the laid panels. The two top sides of the insulation board 1 show the lower rebate strip 12 with the lower rebate groove 13 on the right and the upper rebate strip 14 with the upper rebate groove 15 on the left. The plate edges 16 are provided with the beads 17.
Fig. 7 shows a partial view of a wall surface covered with panels according to the invention. In the bottom row of plates, the z. B. can sit on a base paragraph, the upper folded parts 8 are cut off, the upper parts 14 and 15 of the hook fold 11 for all the panels on the building ceiling.
As soon as the first row has been set up, you can start laying the second and subsequent rows of panels. The vertical plate joints 11 are to be arranged offset. The lower folded parts 4 always point into the laying device. The upper folded part 8 inserted therein stabilizes the transverse joints. In addition, the panels underneath are automatically pushed into alignment.
Figures 8, 9 and 10 show application examples for the new plate in practice.
The new insulation board 1 can be advantageous for covering walls, for. B. be used in single-shell external insulation. For this purpose, it is attached to the masonry 19 with adhesive mortar 18. To improve the adhesion, there are criss-cross adhesive channels 20 on the back of the panel. The insulation panel 1 was coated with small-format panels 21 in the prefabrication. The joints 22 located between the panels 21 expediently engage somewhat in the upper side of the insulation panel.
As soon as the pre-coated insulation panels are offset, the entire wall surface covered with them is grouted so that the individual panel joints can no longer be seen. As a result of the rebate formation according to the invention, especially through the arrangement of the stop bar 5, there is a guarantee that all the installed insulation boards 1 are in alignment and result in a closed insulation layer.
The embodiment of Fig. 9 shows an in-situ concrete wall, i. H. a wall formed and poured on site, with core insulation. After the wall formwork (not shown here) has been erected, the insulation panels 1, which have been joined together to form an insulating carpet, are inserted into the formwork at the prescribed distance. They can be additionally stabilized by appropriately profiled metal strips 23.
Furthermore, it is expedient to establish the load-bearing connection between the approximately 6 to 8 cm thick outer shell 24 and the supporting wall 25 on the inside through the metal strips 23. For this purpose, anchor bolts 26 can be used, for example, which grip through the core insulation 1 and press the metal strips 23 against the core insulation 1 by means of screw nuts 27. The concrete flowing in for the outer shell 24 or the supporting wall 25 surrounds the metal strips 23, so that a permanent connection results for the concrete shells separated by the core insulation. For this area of application, the insulation boards 1 again have adhesive grooves 20 on both sides. With the new boards, the made-to-measure insulation carpets can be prepared without special adhesive connections or the like being necessary. Rather, the dry joining of the individual panels is sufficient.
Inverted flat roofs are single-shell flat roofs in which the roof seal is laid on the supporting ceiling and a moisture- and aging-resistant insulation board that only needs to be covered with a protective layer against UV rays. This protective layer, usually a bed of gravel or concrete slabs, hold the lightweight insulation panels down in their position in a storm-proof manner due to their weight.
According to FIG. 10, on the supporting roof ceiling, for. B.
a reinforced concrete ceiling 28, the roof seal 29, z. B. bitumen sheeting, plastic sheeting or coated sealing slurry is applied and designed accordingly on the roof edges and other connections so that a rainproof seal is created. Then the insulation panels 1, which in the prefabrication on their top with cover plates 30, z. B. made of asbestos cement, were disguised, placed.
The fold connections according to the invention create a cohesive insulating layer in which it is no longer possible to lift out individual panels. Here, too, the insulating panels 1 have crisscrossed grooves 20 formed on their top and bottom. The rain hitting the surface can, as shown at 31, flow through the open joints of the cover plate 30 into the upper grooves 20, comes from there to the hook fold connections 11, which are not very close together, flows through them and then reaches the underside of the insulation board 1, where it runs in the area of the lower grooves 20 over the roof seal 29 to the roof gullies, not shown here.
