Abstract

A device to indicate to a driver of a vehicle when a certain speed has been reached, has an alternator (G) which can be located in the drive to the speedometer (A) so as to give an a.c. signal whose frequency is proportional to the vehicle speed connected to a push button control unit (C) with buttons (K1, K2, K3) corresponding to different speeds, the unit having a discriminator circuit (H) which operates so that when the speed reached by the vehicle exceeds the speed chosen by pushing the appropriate button, an alarm is actuated. This alarm can be a loudspeaker signal, an illuminated lamp, or both together.
