Description
Fig. 2.
Packaging for sausages
The invention relates to a packaging for sausages and is based on such a design in which a tight cover made of transparent plastic film is divided into two individual pockets for two sausages each. Based on the experience that the sausages are only eaten in pairs with preference, the invention aims to create a two-pack, although the four-pack offers significant advantages in terms of production and packaging, especially when using automatic machines with a high throughput.
The same applies to sales and retail sales.
In order to take these circumstances into account, the packaging according to the invention is characterized in that a tight envelope made of transparent plastic film is divided into two individual pockets for two sausages each and is provided with a prepared or pre-marked cutting or tear line between the two pockets. This enables the four pack to be divided into two packs of two in a simple manner, if necessary by means of scissors. The dividing line preferably consists of a number of points with lower strength of the plastic film forming the envelope, for example in the form of impressions or holes, so that a line of weakening results, which on the one hand ensures the cohesion of the entire packaging, but on the other hand its division made possible by hand.
Instead of such a row of weakened points or above this row, a marking can be made on the film by dashes as a line z. B. attach by imprint, which is when separating z. B. follows with scissors.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment which is shown in the drawing in FIG. 1 in top view and in FIG. 2 in cross section.
The basis of the packaging is a film 1 made of suitable transparent plastic; it carries a second film 2 of the mainly wave-shaped cross section shown in FIG. 2, with which it forms two pockets 3 and 4 which are closed at both ends. Each pocket is designed to hold a pair of sausages 5 or 6. The connection of the foils 1 and 2 is formed by a weld 7, each of which tightly encloses a pocket 3 or 4, s. especially FIG. 1, in which the weld is only indicated by a double line, while it preferably encompasses the entire contact surfaces of the two foils 1, 2, 5. FIG.
In this form, in which it is intended for two pairs of sausages, the packaging is prefabricated on appropriate machines, filled, closed and, coming from a band or from a roll, separated in the width of FIG. 1 by two cuts along the edges 8; before, during or after this process, a row 9 of indentation points, holes or the like is attached in a straight line between the two pockets 3 and 4, or else only provided as a print.
Line 9 is used to separate the four-pack into two two-packs by tearing open or cutting open, whereby the welds 7 surrounding each pocket remain intact, so that a two-pack not intended for immediate consumption without any risk to the enjoyment of its contents within the period of time resulting from the possibility of freshness can be kept.
The invention thus creates a pack for sausages that can be manufactured and sold as a pack of four, but which can be divided into two packs of two, the contents of which, namely a pair of sausages, can be consumed individually and at different times; one takes z. B. the first pair to the immediate. Consumption, the second pair can be left in its packaging and stored in it for later consumption.
